As one of the world’s most distinctive solo artists, Sting has received an additional 11 GRAMMY Awards®, two Brits, a Golden Globe, an Emmy, four Oscar nominations, a TONY nomination, Billboard Magazine’s Century Award, and MusiCares 2004 Person of the Year.  In 2003, he was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) by Queen Elizabeth II for his myriad of contributions to music. Also a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, he has received the Kennedy Center Honors, The American Music Award of Merit and The Polar Music Prize. Sting has been awarded Honorary Doctorates of Music by the University of Northumbria (1992), Berklee College of Music (1994), University of Newcastle upon Tyne (2006) and Brown University at its 250thCommencement ceremony (2018).

Throughout his illustrious career, Sting has sold 100 million albums from his combined work with The Police and as a solo artist.

Following his critically acclaimed album, 57th & 9th, his first rock/pop collection in over a decade, Sting and reggae icon, Shaggy, both managed by the Cherrytree Music Company, released a collaborative, island-influenced album, entitled 44/876, drawing from the many surprising connections at the heart of their music. With its title referencing their home country codes, 44/876 first and foremost honors the duo’s mutual love for Jamaica: Shaggy’s homeland, and the place where Sting penned such classics as The Police’s “Every Breath You Take.” Their chart-topping release debuted at #1 in Germany and Top 10 in the UK. It spent over 20 weeks atop Billboard’s Reggae Album chart in the US, earned Gold certifications in Poland and France and received the GRAMMY Award® for Best Reggae Album.

Last year, Sting was honoured at the BMI Pop Awards for his enduring hit single “Every Breath You Take,” which has become the Most Performed Song, with 15 million radio plays, from BMI’s catalog of over 14 million musical works.

Also last year, a new album entitled My Songs, featuring contemporary interpretations of his most celebrated hits, was released and followed by a world tour of the same name. Sting’s ‘My Songs’ World Tour is a dynamic and exuberant show featuring his most beloved songs spanning the 17-time GRAMMY Award® winner’s prolific career with The Police and as a solo artist.

The special edition release of Sting’s album, My Songs was released November 8 and includes a bonus CD with new live recordings from the My Songs World Tour.  A digital album titled My Songs: Live containing 11 new live recordings captured along the My Songs World Tour is also available.

Next year, Sting will headline a Las Vegas residency, “My Songs,” set to open at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The show will present a compendium of Sting’s songs with dynamic, visual references to some of his most iconic videos and inspirations.

He has appeared in more than 15 films, executive produced the critically acclaimed A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, and in 1989 starred in The Threepenny Opera on Broadway.  His most recent theatre project is the Tony®-nominated musical The Last Ship, inspired by his memories of the shipbuilding community of Wallsend in the North East of England where he was born and raised. The show, with music and lyrics by Sting, ran on Broadway in 2014/2015 and completed a UK regional theatre tour which ran from March-July 2018. Thereafter, Sting starred as shipyard foreman Jackie White in the Toronto-based production of The Last Ship at the Princess of Wales Theatre. He reprised the role for productions in Los Angeles at the Ahmanson Theatre (January 14 – February 16, 2020), followed by San Francisco at the Golden Gate Theatre. Additional information on The Last Ship Tour can be found at www.thelastshipmusical.com

Sting’s support for human rights organizations such as the Rainforest Fund, Amnesty International, and Live Aid mirrors his art in its universal outreach.  Along with wife Trudie Styler, Sting founded the Rainforest Fund in 1989 to protect both the world’s rainforests and the indigenous people living there.  Together they have held 19 benefit concerts to raise funds and awareness for our planet’s endangered resources. Since its inception, the Rainforest Fund has expanded to a network of interconnected organizations working in more than 20 countries over three continents.

Legend Sean Connery Dies at 90

By Hannah DiPilato

Actor and producer Sean Connery, most known for his iconic role as James Bond, has died at age 90. Sir Thomas Sean Connery was knighted by Queen Elizabeth in 2000 due to his international fame as the spy 007.

His son, Jason Connery, said he had been  “unwell for some time” and passed peacefully in his sleep at home.

“A sad day for all who knew and loved my dad and a sad loss for all people around the world who enjoyed the wonderful gift he had as an actor,” said Jason Connery.

Sir Sean was surrounded by family in Nassau when he passed. According to Connery’s publicist, Nancy Seltzer, there will be a private ceremony followed by a memorial service once the pandemic is over.

Sir Sean Connery leaves behind his wife Micheline and his two sons, Jason and Stephane.

Connery’s first major film appearance was No Road Back, the British crime film from 1957. He began his career as James Bond in 1962 with Dr. No, the movie that began the James Bond saga. Since then, he acted as the famous character in seven total Bond films. In 1983 he concluded his time as James Bond in Never Say Never Again

Although his most prominent role was performing as James Bond, he has also taken on major roles in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, The Untouchables and The Hunt for Red October, showing notable range as an actor

Connery was also a part of Murder on the Orient Express’s star-studded cast, which premiered in 1974. In 1988, he won an Oscar for best-supporting actor for his role as Jim Malone in The Untouchables

The current James Bond, Daniel Craig, said Connery was “one of the true greats of cinema.” He also added that he hopes there’s a golf course wherever Connery is, because of the legend’s love for golf.

“He defined an era and a style. The wit and charm he portrayed on screen could be measured in megawatts; he helped create the modern blockbuster,” said Craig.

The official 007 Twitter account tweeted about the passing of Connery. “Sir Sean Connery has died at the age of 90,” the tweet said. “He was the first actor to play James Bond on the big screen in Dr. No in 1962, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice and Diamonds Are Forever followed.”

The producers of James Bond, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, also gave a statement after Connery’s death. “He was and shall always be remembered as the original James Bond whose indelible entrance into cinema history began when he announced those unforgettable words, ‘The name’s Bond… James Bond,’” said the producers.

“He is undoubtedly largely responsible for the success of the film series and we shall be forever grateful to him,” they continued.”

Sir Thomas Sean Connery has had an incredibly successful career over his 90 years of life. His death will be a tremendous loss to the film industry, but he will never be forgotten for all of the iconic roles he embodied throughout his life.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, the beloved classic, is celebrating its thirtieth anniversary with a fresh new line of streetwear. The collection includes clothing that showcases the nostalgic era of the nineties with bold and colorful designs. Inspired by the show, this collection will transport you back in time.

This unisex collection offers a variety of shirts, pants, jackets, and accessories all with different fun and unique patterns. You can even get your hands on a Fresh Prince facemask to stay safe in style – which is one of 360 MAGAZINE’s favorites in the line. The clothing and accessories range from $15 to $200 so everyone can find something fresh to rock.

Some highlights of the line include a bright, blue varsity jacket that says “Fresh” across the front, perfect for channeling the energy of the Bel-Air Academy halls. There is also a color block t-shirt and sweatpant set that combines the fashion of the ‘90s with a common 2020 streetwear style.

There is even a limited edition crate series for $55 that comes with a ‘90s graphic tee, a pair of logo socks, a graffiti print beach towel, an exclusive air freshener, and a license plate enamel pin. You can choose the three crate option to get two more crates of similar goods to be shipped in October and December. If you buy the three crate plan you receive a free ornament to keep the swag going into the holiday season.

This “Who God Da Jazz?” collection was inspired by the prince, Will Smith, and DJ Jazzy Jeff, his music partner. This is the second collection featured on the website, the first being “Frressh Essentials.”

DJ Jazzy Jeff commented on the excitement of the collection in a press release by Chantel Muentes at Berk Communications. “Very rarely do television programs have such a significant cultural impact 30 years after its release, but to generate this type of excitement in 2020 is really a testament to the fans,” Jeff said. “This is really a celebration of a legacy and it’s incredible watching the series evolve into a fashion brand and influence an entirely new generation.”

Along with the clothing collection, Will Smith announced on his Instagram that a “real Banks family reunion is comin’ soon” and will be available on the new streaming service HBO Max.

This reunion isn’t the only premiere fans are anticipating. According to a youtube video posted by Smith he “closed the deal with Peacock with an unprecedented two-season order” that will reboot “Fresh Prince.” A fan of the show, Morgan Cooper, created a viral video in 2019 that showed the potential of a reboot. He will write and direct the reboot and Smith will be present as an executive producer along with a few others.

This line is perfect to get a fresh style just in time for fall. With the release of both the reunion and reboot coming soon, this is the perfect time to splurge on merchandise and channel your inner fresh prince. Although the style of the ‘90s has never truly faded from fashion, it’s making a full-force comeback with these unique streetwear styles.

Vaughn Hebron QxA

The Oval,” the hit BET show from Tyler Perry, will return to homes for its second season in Oct., and Vaughn Hebron is front and center.

Playing Barry, a man whose daughter was kidnapped by his ex-girlfriend, Hebron finds himself in the middle of a show about an interracial family living in the White House. Perfect on the outside but full of lies on the inside, the family brings some of the best drama to television.

Hebron was born in Baltimore and attended Pennsylvania’s Lafayette College on a Division 1 football scholarship. At Lafayette College, he joined Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and eventually graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Business and minor in Africana Studies.

He began a career in pharmaceuticals but eventually moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting. Early on he booked commercials, and he’ll appear in the Will Smith-led “King Richard” in 2021.

Hebron answered a few questions for 360 MAGAZINE regarding “The Oval,” the entertainment industry and his future.

360: Tell us about “The Oval” and your character and what we can look forward to in season 2.

Hebron: “The Oval” is a Tyler Perry soap, set in the White House, that centers around the First Family and their staff. Well, at least it did in the first season. The series has expanded and plunged into the personal and dramatic lives of each individual and is now a whirlwind of dramatics and juicy story lines. I play Barry Hallsen on the show, the son of the White House Head Butler. Barry is a young man in his early 20s trying to establish himself while providing for his daughter, Callie. In the first season, he faces extreme challenges in and out of the White House, namely having his daughter kidnapped by his baby mother, Ruth, who is part of a vicious cult. The first season follows his journey to finding his daughter and the many problems he creates for himself in doing so. What viewers can look forward to in the second season is Barry getting closer to finding his daughter but also getting closer to the imminent danger that surrounds her.

360: Before you became an actor, you were in pharmaceutical sales. How was the transition, and are you excited about the career change?

Hebron: The transition was a big adjustment, going from a steady, regular paycheck and working every day to not knowing when the next time I’ll be working but still getting paid for it. Basically, I had to start all over from square one and figure things out each step of the way. It was intimidating and uncertain, but it’s also been very fulfilling. It feels like I am being driven by something that I never felt in my corporate career: a new sense of purpose. The unknowingness was both scary and exciting.

360: What has been your biggest challenge thus far in the industry?

Hebron: Coming from a corporate background, I was used to a lot of structure. There were always deadlines, expectations that would be met, structured and upkept working conditions, and if there were any questions, someone there to help. There’s almost none of that in the industry. There are no set timelines on when we book jobs, no set path on how to be successful and reach a certain level in your career and no formal performance evaluations. Even asking for help could be just as bad as not asking for help. The biggest challenge for me was adjusting to this space of having to completely trust in the process and letting God take the wheel. I had to surrender to the journey and have faith that the things I was doing were going to work out the way they were meant to. I really had to believe that everything would happen for a reason. It was a complete mindset shift; a completely different life. I still struggle with it at times.

360: Where do you see your career in 5 years? 10 years?

Hebron: Well, one of the first lessons I learned in this industry is that you can’t put a timeline on things. At all. They could happen way sooner, or way later than you think, so just be open and ready when the time comes. My ultimate goal in this industry is to become an A-list storyteller. That’s the level I want to be at. However, storytelling comes in many different forms. Obviously acting is the main form of storytelling that I’m doing right now, but I’ve also written and pitched TV shows and see myself dabbing in that. I also see myself directing and producing one day as well. Additionally, I have a lot of ideas outside of the industry for my fitness and business, and of course I want to have a family one day.

360: Do you have any future projects that you’re allowed to talk about?

Hebron: Yes, I will be in the upcoming feature film “King Richard” starring Will Smith, as one of the main antagonists, hitting theaters Nov. 2021. We are working a couple other projects that are under wrap right now.

To learn more about Hebron, you can click right here.

Check out the official trailer for MISBEHAVIOUR, the charmingly provocative true story of how two very different groups of women made their voices heard in the fight for equality, starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw (“The Morning Show”) and Keira Knightley (Pride and Prejudice).

In 1970, the Miss World competition took place in London, hosted by US comedy legend, Bob Hope. At the time, Miss World was the most-watched TV show on the planet with over 100 million viewers. Claiming that beauty competitions demeaned women, the newly formed Women’s Liberation Movement achieved overnight fame by invading the stage and disrupting the live broadcast of the competition. Not only that, when the show resumed, the result caused uproar: the winner was not the Swedish favourite but Miss Grenada, the first black woman to be crowned Miss World. In a matter of hours, a global audience had witnessed the patriarchy driven from the stage and the Western ideal of beauty turned on its head.

About “The Dennissance”:

Dennis Quaid is a renaissance man, one of the busiest people in show business. Besides being an actor, musician, songwriter, writer and podcast pioneer; he is also a jet pilot, amateur astronomer, fly-fisherman, philosopher, low handicap golfer, medical safety advocate and armchair historian. He has powered a NASCAR around an oval track, given speeches and appeared before congress on patient safety, played golf with 2 presidents, piloted a dogsled in the arctic, meditated on the shore of the Ganges River in India, has run and cycled marathons, team-roped on a quarter horse, trained dogs and people, pitched on the mound in Texas stadium, been a middle-weight boxer, and can change a diaper in 20 seconds.

From the biggest, blockbuster movies, to being a hilarious and insightful talk-show guest and host, Dennis does it all. All of Dennis’s famous friends have interests outside of the thing they’re known for. In each episode of The Dennissance, Dennis talks to his guests about those things and what makes them unique in the world. This ongoing series features compelling and shareable content that focuses on honest conversations. The Dennissance combines all of Dennis Quaid’s famous friends and Denizens into a weekly podcast full of can’t miss content. The Dennissance is executive produced by veteran network TV executive David Hurwitz. Season one is out now, and season two has just started!
