About Sfera Ebbasta:

Italian rapper Gionata Boschetti (aka Sfera Ebbasta) was born and raised in Cinisello Balsamo, Italy in 1992, a fact that he often referenced in his music. At the young of 13, his father passed away, leaving Sfera responsible for his mother and sister — a responsibility he coped with by writing rhymes. Together with his friend and producer Charlie Charles, they founded their own brand, Billionheadz, through which they released merchandise and music; their first release was a mixtape titled XDVR Reloaded. Cinisello Balsamo — or Ciny as they referred to it — was located just outside of Milan, and in order to further pursue their dreams, both Sfera and Charlie moved to the bigger city, giving them access to a wider variety of media opportunities.

By 2016, Sfera released his debut self-titled album; this time through publication deals with Universal and Def Jam. Sfera Ebbasta featured two collaborative tracks with French rapper SCH, “Balenciaga” and “CartineCartier.” In 2018, his album Rockstar launched him into the most Italian streamed artist ever, with over 700 million streams, 5 Platinum plaques, and collabs like Quavo, Tinie Tempah, Rich The Kid, Lary Over, and Miami Yacine. Additionally, for the first time ever, he had seven tracks on the 200 Global Spotify Chart. Since then he hasn’t stopped, collaborating with massive Italian and international artists.

Icona Pop – Feels In My Body

Global chart-topping duo Icona Pop are back following their 2020 smash collaborations with heavyweights Steve Aoki and Hayden James, this time with another banger called “Feels In My Body,” which is out now via RECORD COMPANY TEN/ULTRA Music. The song also comes paired with a music video, shot by director Gustav Stegfors and acclaimed Director of Photography, Crille Forsberg (David Bowie, Adele, ZAYN). Watch HERE

Speaking about their new feel good-summer jam, Icona Pop’s Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo reveal, “Feels In My Body is all about hitting your peak, being so full of energy that you want to burst and share it with everyone around you.”

Listen to “Feels In My Body” HERE.

“Feels In The Body” follows two massive collaborations this year for Icona Pop, including “Right Time,” with Australian producer and songwriter Hayden James, which Rolling Stone said “captures the feeling of the dance floor during this time of isolation,” and “I Love My Friends,” the lead single off Steve Aoki’s recent album, Neon Future IV.

Swedish chart-topping duo Icona Pop continue to slay since their 2013 full-length debut, This Is… Icona Pop, which garnered critical acclaim from the likes of Pitchfork and Rolling Stone as the duo performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Today Show, Good Morning America, and America’s Got Talent in addition to featuring on the iconic HBO series Girls and a popular Saturday Night Live sketch. They canvased the globe on sold out tours with Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, and One Direction and joined Tiësto for the banger “Let’s Go” in 2014. Along the way, the duo has performed alongside everyone from Avicii to The Chainsmokers as well as gracing the stages of Ultra, Tomorrowland, Mark Ronson’s Club Heartbreak, and more. Since then, they have consistently filled the gap in music when it comes to upbeat, carefree, quality dance-pop.

Last year, the girls DJ’d across Europe, Asia and North America as well as released a string of bangers including their Yves V and Afrojack collaboration for “We Got That Cool.” In addition, IconaPop continued their message of inclusivity, self-acceptance and positivity on the road for their WorldPride tour, culminating with a show-stopping performance at Stockholm Pride that included a special appearance from Sporty Spice herself, Melanie C.

Jim Adkins – Pass-Through Frequencies

Jim Adkins (Jimmy Eat World) has announced details of a podcast series, Pass-Through Frequencies, (brought to you by Fender Guitars).

The podcast will see Jim unpacking the craft of songwriting and creative process over an in-depth interview with fellow musicians every week. The series begins on August 6th with Jim’s first guest, Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus. Future episodes are set to include: Steve Aoki, Nate Reuss, Chris Carrabba, Ben Gibbard, Tegan Quinn and David Bazan, with more to be announced.

Speaking about the idea behind the podcast, Jim says “When I’m working on a song, it almost feels like I am channeling something. It’s like I am holding the rudder with only a vague clue who might be paddling. I have to find a balanced mindset of being wholly present…and not “there” at all. The creative process has as much reward and mystery as it did 26 years ago when I started writing songs with Jimmy Eat World. I am still totally fascinated. In this series I chat with music people about their process, preparation and execution. As well as whatever may get thrown in on the side.”

The Pass-Through Frequencies podcast follows the release of Jimmy Eat World’s, ‘Surviving’ which was released in October of 2019 via RCA Records. The band’s tenth studio album was met with widespread acclaim, described as “bold, brave and defiant” by the NME, “a cement-solid collection of introspective, core-cutting songs,” by Alternative Press, “a gloriously adrenalised return to form” by Q Magazine and “packed with unfiltered feeling and power” by Kerrang!

‘Surviving’ includes the singles,“Love Never”“All The Way (Stay)” and “555”, the music video for which saw Jim channelling classic 80’s sci-fi cinema as a fantastical counter-balance to the track’s emotional heft. Fans can now watch a ‘555’ behind-the-scenes video HERE.

Steve Aoki × Frank Walker × AJ Mitchell

Today, two-time Grammy-nominated DJ/producer Steve Aoki, alongside rising fellow DJ/producer Frank Walker, and pop singer-songwriter, MTV Push/Vevo LIFT Artist, AJ Mitchell drop a refreshing high-energy summer collaboration “Imagine.” This new single calls us to imagine everything that comes with a relationship blending Aoki’s signature electro-pop sound with Walker’s dance-pop and Mitchell’s smoot breezy vocals, and is set to save the dancefloor this summer.

Aoki, Walker and Mitchell seamlessly blend their talents to create “Imagine”, a high-energy track that explores the highs and lows when imagining love. With catchy lyrics and a feel-good melody that combines underlying piano chords with sonic and techno beats, it transports you to your most desired state of love and the emotions felt in that ideal state. The chorus echoes “I want it with you” knowing that each listener can visualize their love and feel their own euphoria at the beat drop. The melody continually grows in strength as the lyrics confirm the power love can have in any situation…”if you imagine.”

“This track with Frank & AJ is something we poured our heart & souls into, and I’m so excited for it to be out just in time for Summer,” said Aoki. “The lyrics are something everyone can relate to, and the beat is something everyone can dance to. I wish we could bring it to you live in-person, but we have some special plans regardless to bring this to the world.”

“Imagine feels like such a game-changing song for me personally,” said Walker. “Creating a record alongside Steve has been incredible, he’s a legend in the dance scene and being a part of his creative process is unlike anything I’ve done before. Taking our production and adding AJ Mitchell into the mix took the record to a new level, he’s such a talented artist with a crazy voice. The three of us were able to come together with our own unique sounds to something truly special on Imagine. I can’t wait for the world to hear this one!”

“I’m very excited to be a part of such a fun record as “Imagine,” said Mitchell. “Steve has been one of my favorite people to work with. Him and Frank are both super talented and this is an awesome track you won’t be able to stop dancing to.”

Following up on a massive 2019, Frank Walker has had a huge start to 2020. Touted as an iHeartRadio Future Star and a Billboard Rising Artist, this Toronto-native has captivated fans across the globe, owning main stages in Europe, Asia, and North America. Frank also supported Kygo on his “Kids In Love” worldwide tour. Backed by the industry’s best and fresh off a new record deal with Sony Music this producer is becoming a mainstay on Spotify’s Dance & Pop playlists. Destined for big things, Frank is coming off a collaboration with R3HAB and has had official remixes for Kygo, Marshmello, Chainsmokers, Alessia Cara, Bastille, and Loud Luxury. His recent singles ‘Heartbreak Back’ and ‘Only When It Rains’ both went top 10 on Canadian Top 40 radio, with the former gaining Gold status. Frank will be returning to Ultra Music Festival’s main stage this year and also secured a 2020 Vegas at Wynn where he will be playing 20 shows at Encore Beach Club & XS Nightclub.

Sporting a slick and show-stopping voice, sharp songwriting chops, and endless charisma, AJ Mitchell emerges as a stylish and soulful new leading man for pop R&B. Born and raised in Belleville, IL, he went from uploading highly-trafficked covers on social media to personally writing and recording his 2017 breakout single “Used To Be.” Clocking over 90 million Spotify streams to date, the song paved the way for a deal with Vol. 1 / Epic Records and saw AJ relocate to Los Angeles.

With over 100 million-plus streams on tracks such as “I Don’t Want You Back,”Girls”, “All My Friends”, “Talk So Much”, and “Move On” and nearly 8 million monthly listeners on Spotify, he’s cemented himself as 2020’s fastest rising star. Named a 2019 MTV Push artist and a 2019 Vevo LIFT artist and acclaimed by Billboard, Idolator, and Seventeen, he’s sold out numerous headline shows and performed on The Today Show and Good Day New York. Over the past year, his rapid rise only accelerated. AJ flexes his star power and vocal prowess on the Slow Dance EP. Preceded by “Move On” and the Top 40 single and title track “Slow Dance” [feat. Ava Max], his songwriting and show-stopping spirit once again take center stage on upbeat and undeniable new anthem “Out My Mind.” To date, AJ has had three songs in the Top 40 Pop Radio charts: “Girls”, “All My Friends” (#20), and “Slow Dance”. This past spring, AJ released his collaboration with Rich The Kid called “Spring Break”, and most recently unveiled his uplifting new single “Burn” in June. Following its release, “Burn” ranked as pop radio’s most added song. Now, he sets his sights on pop domination with every move as he gears up to release his highly anticipated debut full-length album Skyview this year.

Monsta X & Steve Aoki “Play It Cool

GLOBAL POP SENSATIONS MONSTA X & STEVE AOKI RELEASE ENGLISH VERSION OF HIT SINGLE “PLAY IT COOL” TODAY

STREAM “PLAY IT COOL” ENGLISH VERSION HERE

Today, global superstars, Monsta X, and two-time Grammy nominated DJ and Producer, Steve Aoki, release the English version of their collaborative hit “Play it Cool.” On the heels of releasing the Korean version last month, the Aoki-Monsta force keeps fans on their feet with this new English language track. Aoki composed, arranged, and produced this track, alongside co-writer and Monsta X rapper, I.M.

The bouncy piano keys and punchy beat provide the foundation for Aoki’s iconic electro-pop sound, paired with Aoki’s use of Monsta X’s voices, to create texture and build the track as a whole. The initial chorus proclaims “And when you’re dancin’ in my face, I just play it cool,” followed by the lyrics “I love the way that you came over here” repeated over and over again in an edited sped-up hook that is impossible to get out of your head. Steve says, “their [Monsta X] voices dive into your soul”, so it’s no surprise that he would utilize their singing as a fundamental motif and driving force, outside of the vocal leads.

“Monsta X is one of those powerhouse groups that sets the bar very high,” stated Aoki. “Their voices stay with you long after the song is over, and on this track they sang so profoundly that all we had to do was focus on the story we were telling. I really believe in today’s world that we have redefined what love and relationships look like, so I think that this song is one that many people can relate to.”

“It was such an honor to work with Steve Aoki. He is truly an amazing artist and producer. We love how “Play It Cool” turned out at the end so much that we included it in our recent album – Take 2 ‘We Are Here’!” said Monsta X. “After the great success of the Korean version, we can’t wait to see the responses to the English version from all over the world. This collab is a gift from us to our ‘monbebe’ , for always taking care of us and keeping it cool. Thank you.”

Outside of this new collab with Steve, Monsta X have also announced a nineteen-date world tour beginning in April, ending with six U.S. dates. The band will be traveling all the way from South Korea to California throughout the course of their performances, ending at the historic Staples Center. Tickets are on sale Friday March 29th, 4:00PM local; follow the link here for more information. The band’s latest album, Take.2 ‘We Are Here,’ debuted at #5 on Billboard’s World Albums Chart for the week of March 2, 2019; and has been causing an unstoppable wave of interest with notable mentions in Complex, Idolator, Billboard, Cosmopolitan, and NME stating that the album “features some giant leaps forward for the band.” On top of that, the band is currently set to perform as the first K-pop group at the iHeartRadio Music Festival out in Las Vegas on September 21st, 2019.

ABOUT MONSTA X

Monsta X has been causing an unstoppable wave of interest here, with their history making performances at iHeartRadio Jingle Ball last December. Variety raved that Monsta X “was especially impressive, getting down with the acrobatics the group displayed on their hyped up, historic appearances as the first K Pop act to grace the Jingle Ball stage.” The Boston Globe referred to them as the “night’s most fascinating act” and MTV stated that they “had The Forum shaking and rattling.” Instyle stated; “If we were giving out an award for “Best Dancer” at the Jingle Ball, it would go to Monsta X, hands down. The K-pop band opened the whole shebang, and while their vocals were also great, they stole the show with their moves.”

In addition to that, the band continues to garner stellar reviews from media such as: MTV, Refinery 29, Buzzfeed, Allure, Idolator, Billboard, Dazed, Rolling Stone India, Popcrush “Monsta X is a group that cannot be overlooked.” They even made the cut for Pandora’s 2019 Artist’s To Watch, as the only K-Pop group included.

CHEAT CODES team up with Afrojack for huge new single, “Ferrari”
+ announce forthcoming dance EP, “Level 2”
available via 300 Entertainment

Multi-platinum, electronic dance music trio CHEAT CODES  (comprised of Trevor Dahl, Matthew Russell and Kevi Ford) have teamed up with Afrojack for the huge new track, “Ferrari”, taken from their forthcoming EP, “Level 2”. The bass-heavy track blends dance and hip hop sensibilities that break into an anthemic chorus, drenched with Cheat Codes signature electronic textures that have seen them become one of the fastest growing pop and dance acts, garnering over 2 billion streams.

The monumental track is over a year in the making- Matt of Cheat Codes explains: “We met up with Afrojack in the studio over a year ago, we wanted to figure out how we could blend our two sounds into something cohesive. We first heard the drop and knew it was something we could come together on. A lot of the process was back and forth through email sending demos. Gonna have to hit the stage together at some point because the clubs are gonna love this one.”

The dance-floor ready anthem is juxtaposed by it’s dark lyrical narrative that ultimately tells the tale of a missteps in a relationship. Matt adds, “Ferrari is that moment when you really mess up in a relationship and have to overcompensate to try and make it better”

“Ferrari” follows, “Feeling of Falling,” their new single and collaboration with pop sensation KIM PETRAS. The euphoric anthem pairs Cheat Codes’ signature sugary electronic hooks with Kim’s mesmerizing vocals. The group released a remix bundle of the track, featuring re-works from the likes of Daniel Blume, Danny Quest, Justin Caruso, and Angemi, as well as Steve Aoki – which is available now.  Cheat Codes, who are touring with Steve Aoki throughout the UK this February, recently remixed Aoki’s collaboration with BTS,  “Waste It On Me”.

“Ferrari” comes in the wake of another exciting year for Cheat Codes. The group are on the heels of their track, “Only You” which featured Little Mix and its inventive music video featuring TV star, Peyton List. “Only You” hit #1 at UK radio and received critical acclaim from the likes of Billboard, TIME and Rolling Stone.  Earlier this year, the group was joined by Fetty Wap and CVBZ to take the stage at Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform their single, “Feels Great.”

Arpionth

Every once in awhile we discover a newfangled talent who dares to be different. Arpionth is the next generation of EDM. Sultry and sensual melodic instrumentation at it’s finest. A swedish phenomenon.

“Hope” thrives on cinematic creativity and indulges all senses. Your heart will pump while waves crash.

“Destiny” opens up with tons of faithful synergy. Once the beat drops so will your soul. Throbbing. Pulsating.

“Origin” marks newfound territory with systemic beats which power through tradition. Being present isn’t enough. To recognize your past is to know your perfection.

“Above” pushes the envelope. Like a bird, the rhythmic cadence will make you flutter. Higher and higher your imagination will float amongst the swarms.

“Fight” treads on fear. Feisty yet temperamental instrumentation will tantalize your inner existence.

“Continue” is a rotational pull. Everlasting and meaningful. Nothing can stand in the room of an orbit.

“Return” is sinister. A notational menstrual cycle.

“Change” is a seasonal reflection of emotions. You can visualize leaves turn from green to amber.

“Then” will transpire your soul. Strings and snares are on a downward spiral romance.

“Past” mimics a crispness of affairs. Up beat and responsive to what’s to come.

“Time” ticks like a elegant piece of machinery. Poignant and peaceful.

“Now” streams the senses. You can actually smell the stark stench of collateral damage.

“Be” proves to be one of the more sensible tracks with an alien-like heart beat. Allow your mind to ramble around a viscous surface. It’s all about building community!

“Clouds” is anthemic. Parallel to a derivative. A heavenly tune erupting with angelic memories.

Arpionth has a special talent to cure a thirsty mind. His ability to chime into uncharted territory is what makes him a big contender for our “360 Watchlist.” Concrete Creativity III circumvents ongoing sensory seizures. A filmic treasure of tasty creatures.
