Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey Announces Snowflake Batch #25. America’s Best-Selling Single Malt Released Its 25th Batch at Its Denver Distillery for the First Time in Three Years
Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey is thrilled to announce the release of this year’s coveted Snowflake iteration – Batch 25: Humboldt Peak. Loyal Strana-fans and passionate whiskey lovers from all over the country united and camped onsite in hopes of retrieving a bottle of this ultra-rare whiskey, available for one day only at the brand’s Colorado distillery.
Per tradition, each Snowflake iteration is an American Single Malt aged between five and ten years in new white American oak barrels with a #3 char, before transferring to a variety of wine, sherry, and rum barrels sourced from around the world. Each year’s batch spends a varying amount of time in different barrels, resulting flavor year-after-year.
This year’s Humboldt Peak is named per Stranahan’s tradition for a “14er” or Colorado Mountain peaking over 14,000 feet. The initial whiskey was finished in casks that once held Cabernet Sauvignon, Oloroso Sherry, and Barbados Rum. The resulting whiskey is a burst of fruity and sweet sensations, with notes of seasonal pear and apple richness mixed with cream soda.
Humboldt Peak is exclusively available in-person for one day only on a first-come, first-serve basis. Robots have been given the gift of human creativity.
Artist Agnieszka Pilat is currently out West at the headquarters of Agility Robotics, where she has made a new friend with the humanoid robot DIGIT, and started a series of paintings with him that will be included in her upcoming show, ROBOTa.
“This is the era of the new, intelligent machine,” says Agnieszka.“The works created by DIGIT are full of mistakes. This innocence in mark-making gives them a sense of spontaneity, like children playing with crayons.”
Agnieszka is no stranger to painting with robots. She has worked closely with Boston Dynamics‘ SPOT, selling one piece created by the robot canine for $40,000 during a fundraiser to benefit Ukrainian refugees. The pieces with DIGIT and SPOT will be featured in Agnieszka‘s upcoming fall show at the gallery Modernism in San Francisco.

Kenan Thompson is an award-winning actor, comedian and producer, best known for his work on “Saturday Night Live.” This fall he will enter his 20th season on the iconic late-night series as the longest-running cast member.
A six-time Emmy Award nominee, Thompson received two nominations in 2021 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his comedy series “Kenan” and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for “SNL.” He previously received two Emmy nominations in 2018 and 2020 in the supporting actor category for his work on “SNL.” Thompson won an Emmy for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics in 2018 for the “SNL” song “Come Back, Barack,” and received a nomination in the same category in 2017 for co-writing “Last Christmas” from the popular “Jingle Barack” “SNL” music video. He will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in August.
Thompson has made numerous contributions to “SNL” with his slew of hilarious impressions that include Rev. Al Sharpton, Charles Barkley, Steve Harvey and David Ortiz, and by playing memorable characters such as DJ Dynasty Handbag, the scathingly fierce co-host of “Deep House Dish,” “Weekend Update” correspondent Jean K. Electronic music supergroup, Swedish House Mafia, announces their first-ever North American nightlife residency with Wynn Nightlife at the world-renowned Encore Beach Club and XS Nightclub inside Wynn Las Vegas. Beginning Aug. 20, the trio of Swedish DJs comprised of Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello and Axel “Axwell” Hedfors will bring their award-winning music to the unique nightlife setting for two years.
