Bud Light Goes Inside the Brain of its #1 Fan, Post Malone, as he Stars In Two New Commercials for Bud Light and the Newly-Launched Bud Light Seltzer

NEW YORK, Jan. 29, 2020 — Today, Bud Light unveiled“#PostyStore” and “#PostyBar”, two new spots featuring Bud Light Seltzer and Grammy-nominated Bud Light fan, Post Malone. Instead of a traditional launch, the brand is opening up their biggest marketing moment of the year to the fans. Bud Light made two funny ads featuring Post Malone and cannot decide which one to take to Super Bowl LIV as their official in-game commercial. Now the brand is looking to their fans to share their input and help determine which commercial will air in the big game.

Starting this morning through Thursday, January 30, fans can visit Bud Light social channels to watch both commercials and share their input to help Bud Light make the decision on which advertisement to feature during Super Bowl LIV. Fans will need to tune in to the big game to learn which one Bud Light decided on.

“It feels cool to be in a Bud Light commercial, especially a Bud Light Super Bowl commercial, which is a huge deal,” said Post Malone. “I just love the taste and the camaraderie. So it’s a real honor and blessing for me to be able to be a part of such a big moment.”

Both advertisements take you into the brain of musician and Bud Light enthusiast, Post Malone. “#PostyStore” shows Post inside a convenience as he faces a decision a predicament: does he purchase his go-to drink Bud Light or the new Bud Light Seltzer? This predicament sparks confusion and mayhem in Post’s brain, and the store. Ultimately, he remembers that he’s rich and can afford to purchase both – who doesn’t love a happy ending? The second spot,“#PostyBar” follows Post Malone into a bar where he discovers Bud Light Seltzer Mango. Post goes in for a sip and his senses begin to determine what it tastes like, how it smells and if he likes it. Just like the rest of America, Post Malone and his taste buds give Bud Light Seltzer Mango his seal of approval.

Ingredients:
1oz London Dry Gin
0.5oz Fresh Lime Juice
0.5oz Vermont Maple Syrup
Mint and Fresh Cranberries (for garnish)
RITAS’ Cran-Ber-RITA
 
Directions: 
Fill a shaker with ice and add gin, lime juice, and maple syrup.
 
Shake vigorously for 20 seconds and strain into a coupe glass.
 
Top off with RITAS’ Cran-Ber-RITA and garnish with mint and fresh cranberries.

Holidays got you feeling sour? The Ebenezer Rita will have you saying bah humbug to any drama!
 
Ingredients:
1.5oz Bourbon
1oz ounce Fresh Lemon Juice
3oz RITAS’ Cran-Ber-RITA
Rosemary Sprig (for garnish)
 
Directions: 
Fill a pint glass with ice and add all ingredients except rosemary.
 
Stir well.
 
Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube. 
 
Top off with more RITAS’ Cran-Ber-RITA if needed and garnish with a fresh sprig of rosemary.

1.5oz Blanco Tequila
0.5oz Vermont Maple Syrup
1.5oz Lime Juice

Cinnamon Stick, Fresh Cranberries (for garnish)
 
Directions: 
Fill a shaker with ice and add tequila, maple syrup, and lime juice.
 
Shake vigorously for 20 seconds and strain into a collins glass over large ice cubes.
 
Top off with RITAS’ Cran-Ber-RITA and garnish with a cinnamon stick, and fresh cranberries.

6 Tips for Serving Alcohol at Your New Year’s Eve Party

Saying good-bye to an old year and welcoming in a new year full of possibilities is a great occasion to pull out your cocktail glasses and favorite cocktail recipes. Whether you insist that your guests dress in their best for your party or your focus is on comfort and a friendly gathering, there are several things you can do to make sure everyone is having a great time.

One: Arrange Rides Ahead of Time

When you plan a party knowing that you’re serving a lot of alcohol, plan ahead. Make sure you have your phone fully charged and that you’ve saved the numbers to your favorite cab companies. You may want to book a cab or two ahead of time unless you don’t mind having a guest crash at your home overnight.

Two: Choose One or Two Cocktails

Serving a full bar can quickly become very expensive. When you want to serve cocktails, limit your offerings to one or two drinks. If guests want something else, you could have wine and beer available. Keep things fun by offering an array of unique and festive garnishes.

Three: Serve Food

A sweet cocktail is a fun way to help your guests get comfortable but serving them in addition to some fun snacks or a meal is a good way to save money and cut down on the next day’s hangovers. A full range of appetizers or hors d’oeuvres can reduce the amount of alcohol you go through and may prevent guests from becoming too inebriated.

Four: Figure Out How Much Alcohol You Need

Your New Year’s party will come to an unhappy end if you run out of food and drinks. Make sure you have plenty of alcohol by considering how many people will attend, how long the party should last, and whether the drinks are the primary focus or just a side attraction. As you make your calculations, give yourself a bit of wiggle room by getting extra ingredients.

Five: Establish Limits

It’s a good idea to avoid becoming very drunk yourself, so you’re able to recognize if one of your guests is making dangerous decisions. You may need to find rides for guests or make decisions about whether a guest should continue drinking. At some point in the night, stop serving your New Years Eve cocktails and switch to soft drinks, tea, or coffee. You may want to hire a professional bartender to help you with this part of the night.

Six: Brush Up on Local Laws

Even if you’re serving alcohol in your home, there are laws that could affect you. Make sure you’re familiar with liquor licensing and service laws in your area. If you’re not sure where to find information about these laws, contact your insurance provider. Protect yourself from “dram shop liability” or social host liability. If you serve alcohol and one of your guests injures someone else, you could be held responsible.

Hosting a party to celebrate a brand-new year is a great way to get your friends and family together. Make sure everyone enjoys themselves and gets home safely by choosing a good selection of drinks and food and by considering the safety of your guests.

Trend of Going Back to the Roots Praised by Michelin-Starred Chefs

Michelin-starred chefs from Italy were impressed by fine dining and food traditions they have discovered in Vilnius – the capital of Lithuania. The chefs pointed out reliance on roots and authenticity as the main strength of Lithuanian cuisine. They saw this as a trend that other countries are likely to follow.

The restaurants, food markets and delicacy shops of Vilnius attracted considerable attention of Michelin-starred chefs Andrea Aprea and Anthony Genovese, who visited the Lithuanian capital to attend the Lithuanian Gastronomy Forum. Both chefs agreed that a combination of authentic elements with modern cuisine sets Vilnius food tradition as an example to follow.

“Authenticity is important for the new generation of chefs we see coming at the moment. It is quite easy to get caught up in what the rest of the world is doing without figuring out who exactly you are as a chef and learning about your own heritage. Once you have this base understanding of yourself and your roots, your food will continue to evolve and thrive,” said Chef Genovese from the restaurant Il Pagliaccio, **Michelin Guide 2019.

According to Chef Aprea, when people make their traditional dishes they save and share memories of authentic food. People then learn from each other by making or tasting food of other cultures.

“I don’t have any memory of Lithuanian food, I don‘t know what is authentic Lithuanian cuisine, but the food itself and chefs who made it were telling stories. They combine the contemporary approach towards food with local traditional food elements. I think that coming back to the roots, saving and sharing memory is the way everybody should and will follow,” explained Chef Aprea from the restaurant VUN, ** Michelin Guide 2019.

During his food exploration trip, Chef Aprea was introduced to food served in Lithuania during the Middle Ages. He tried traditional cottage cheese, smoked pork fat, kvass and spit cake.

“I’d definitely recommend Vilnius as a gastro tourism place. It’s interesting to discover both the modern cuisine with traditional elements and an authentic food experience tasting the food that Lithuanians served on the table in the Middle Ages. Not only I’d recommend Vilnius to my friends or other chefs but I also plan coming back here again myself,” reflected Chef Aprea.

Vilnius’ restaurants focus on seasonal cuisine, improvisation, and unique culinary experiences. And though they differ in flavours, concepts and traditions, they’re all contributing to the city’s budding food scene, which takes guests on delicious flavour filled adventures.

Most of the top-grade restaurants in Vilnius have some traditional Lithuanian elements in their menus. For example, restaurants Nineteen 18 and Sweet Root both base their cuisine specifically on a modern interpretation of Lithuanian culinary tradition. These restaurants were  listed second and third, respectively, on the 2019 Top 30 Baltic restaurants list and given the Global Master Level by the White Guide Nordic. The best Lithuanian restaurant (according to a local ratingDžiaugsmas also serves creative reinterpretation of local food.

The menu of such restaurants features original interpretations of such Lithuanian everyday dishes as carp, schnitzel, beetroots and potatoes. Mushrooms – the must-have of the ordinary Lithuanian kitchen get into unexpected combinations as in dried boletus ice cream with hazelnut biscuit and fourteen months oak-aged apple vinegar served in Džiaugsmas. The fine-dining restaurants use local supplies of Lithuanian farmers or even develop their own farms.

Chef Aprea thinks that the popularity of local produce and food markets also adds to the high quality of food in Vilnius restaurants.

“When I visit foreign countries I first try to find out where people from that country are buying food. It helps me in understanding their approach towards food. It‘s important because food is our gasoline. Finding a nice and lively food market in a city or country is an important sign for me,” he said.

The trends and lessons of contemporary Lithuanian cuisine were further discussed at the second Lithuanian Gastronomy Forum which this year focused on multiculturalism as the foundation of the new Lithuanian gastronomy. Throughout the history Lithuanian cuisine was influenced by French, Italian and German gastronomic traditions as well as Jewish, tartar and other oriental cultures that reached Lithuania through its ethnic minorities. This mix of cultures and the cuisine that grew out of it were the main topics of all presentations and discussions at the forum.
