Bitcoin Latinum × Tapstats – Genesis

Bitcoin Latinum (LTNM) and TapStats, Inc. announce a new partnership that immediately redefines fan engagement and the economics of sports. The GENESIS NFT platform harnesses the power of creators, athletes, and contributors who combine to make sporting events entertaining and compelling content. Influencers, super fans, celebrities, icons, coaches, and more can now join the best fighter athletes today in a gamified hybrid-reality metaverse where NFT values are actively developed, and the fan base is continuously enriched with live digital and crypto-based content.

The red-carpet launch event will be held on Wednesday, December 1st at Art Basel Miami, and is hosted by founders Dr. Don Basile (Bitcoin Latinum) and Sensei Paul Misir (TapStats), joined by MMA superstar Paige VanZant, Erik Apple, UFC icon Mike Chandler, World Champion Boxer Helen Joseph, Best Rising Sports Star Gable Stevenson and over 40 leading Instagram model influencers at Mr. Jones ( 320 Lincoln Rd, Miami Beach, FL 33139) hotspot in Miami.

TapStats is a “fan-certified” digital platform, and Bitcoin Latinum is a newly released cryptocurrency 3.0. The partnership of two leaders creates an exclusive event that features a never-before-seen combination of power brokers, combat sports, and crypto. This celebrity-filled event will be attended by the best-recognized MMA fighters and tomorrow’s superstars and will include a special musical performance by Quevo of Migos.

GENESIS tickets are NFTs themselves, and the inaugural event tickets will be issued as a tradable NFT that grants perennial access to the GENESIS annual event in the future. Only 200 GENESIS tickets will be minted, and future GENESIS attendees will need to hold or buy an existing Genesis Ticket NFT.

Dr. Don Basile, Founder of Bitcoin Latinum & CEO of Monsoon Blockchain Corporation expressed, “We are very excited about the opportunity to allow end consumers to participate in the blockchain future of NFT and use crypto in this emerging exciting sports metaverse…”  about the partnership with TapStats!

GENESIS will also feature the first-ever “Fighter Draft” (like NBA and NFL Drafts) where the top-25 unsigned MMA and boxing fighters will be nominated by fans and the TapStats Draft Board that includes legends of MMA and boxing. Between November 1-30 fans can click HERE to vote for their favorite fighters.

Bitcoin Latinum is the only cryptocurrency available today that offered the features and technical capability required to power the GENESIS metaverse and real-time fan engagement on its hyper-scalable mainnet. Watching MMA events is now rewarding and lucrative too!  As fans tap on their TapStats app screens to record strike data, they earn Bitcoin LTNM. The more events fans watch and record, the more coin they receive! In addition, fans can tip fighters at any point (before, during, or after matches) with LTNM. Tipping, along with NFT sales, creates new economic opportunities for fighters who can now go directly to fans based on their social media capability and audience demand.

GENESIS NFTs provide favorable economics for creators compared to the current industry economics of NFT proceeds in addition to the potential perpetual royalties. Additionally, NFTs can be “fused” during special 4-hour windows during events to create “super NFTs” creating a rarer and more valuable asset. Genesis NFT’s will utilize the LTNM blockchain that has appreciated by approximately 1000% since its October 2021 launch, giving GENESIS NFTs the benefit of a fast-growing underlying currency. Fans across the globe that were previously limited by access to content or participation can now fully experience and engage in a sport that is beloved by 450 million fans.

Sensei Paul Misir, the Founder of TapStats, states, “This game-changing partnership immediately alters the combat sports landscape and opens up a fun-profit factor never seen before.”

Art collectors, MMA fans, investors, and event-goers alike will join surprise special guest celebrity hosts, including MMA superstar Paige VanZant, Eric Apple and UFC star Mike Chandler to usher in the future of Sport at the #1stFIGHTERDraft event on 12/1/21.

“The success of Immersive Van Gogh has demonstrated that audiences are excited to experience art in a new way. Our Italian creative team are experts at digitally exploring masterworks in such a way that viewers are not merely passive observers. They obtain an even richer understanding of the artist by seeing the work as its creator might have,” said Lighthouse Immersive Producer Corey Ross. “That said, Siccardi presents Kahlo’s works in a format very distinct from that which he utilized in examining Van Gogh’s. He does not try to unify the many styles Kahlo used in her lifetime, but instead, presents them to us as a series of kinetic tableaus that may initially contradict–but eventually illuminate–each other.”

Frida Kahlo’s work is uniquely suited to be explored in an immersive environment and her life story is equally fascinating,” added Lighthouse Immersive Producer Svetlana Dvoretsky. “Kahlo lived her life as one giant journey of exploration, and her art mirrored that journey. Our goal is to give our viewers more than an examination of her work; we also hope they will leave with a richer understanding of the smart, complex woman who created these timeless masterpieces.”

“In this piece, we will chase Frida’s world, always in motion,” adds Siccardi. “We will discover her tenderness and hostilities by taking in her observations and fantasies. Our hope is that viewers will let themselves be penetrated by Frida’s stories, and in so doing, live vicariously through her.”

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to be part of the producing team bringing the amazing work of Frida Kahlo to Los Angeles,” said Vito Iaia, Co-Producer and Co-Founder of Impact Museums. “Following on the incredible response to the Immersive Van Gogh show, we are confident that FRIDA: IMMERSIVE DREAM will take fans on another groundbreaking journey through the mind of one of the world’s most celebrated artists.”

Kahlo’s work bridges surrealist and magic realism traditions–blending authentic depictions of her life with fantastical elements reflecting her inner thoughts and struggles. Folk art, mysticism, surrealism, magic realism and a notably revealing series of self-portraits are all included in the projections. Among the works featured in the piece are The Two Fridas (1939), The Wounded Deer (1946), and Diego and I (1946), intermingled with an assortment of photographs, drawings and iconography. Alongside her paintings, Siccardi’s piece also includes photos of Kahlo at various ages and images of figures from Kahlo’s life that influenced her worldview. The projections are shown on Lighthouse Immersive’s massive architectural canvas, using state-of-the-art projectors for a crisp image and high-quality sound systems that heighten the mood-setting score.

Art Basel VIP Minting Event

Established and renowned art dealer Avery Andon has collaborated with hip-hop legend and WuTang Clan founding member Ghostface Killah, along with the world-renowned jeweler Jason Arasheben, of Beverly Hills Minted Jewelry. This established team has joined forces to curate a minted NFT for the new art NFT platform and marketplace, ArtGrails.

Melting down Ghostface Killah’s Golden Eagle Bracelet, the 24k solid gold bracelet was transformed into a large one-pound gold coin that was minted as an NFT. The “Golden Eagle Bracelet” was made by jeweler Jason of Beverly Hills. Jason curates’ pieces for his clients that range from LeBron James, Drake, Mariah Carey, J-Lo and so many more phenomenal stars.

On November 30th the reimagined coin and an NFT video of the original form being liquefied and minted will be available as one exclusive set on the ArtGrails platform. This means that the piece will in the end only be purchasable by one buyer. ArtGrails is holding an invite-only VIP viewing event, art show and kick-off party on November 30th to celebrate the beginning of Art Basel 2021. The exclusive set of events will be held in the design distract of Miami. ArtGrails will not be posting content of the exclusive “minting event” video, so the auction winner will have the decision to make the video public or not.

The iconic 24k Golden Eagle Bracelet exemplifies an emblem in hip-hop history, and with the minting of the piece, now someone else will be able to own such a legendary piece of hip-hop history. The coin that is up for grabs will come with an NFT video that showcases Ghostface and Jason of Beverly Hills melting the bracelet into coin form. The video serves as a “tokenized physical asset that will accompany the minting of the video taken of the transformative goldsmithery into an NFT.”

Jason of Beverly Hills has continued to heavily influence and impact hip-hop history through the collaboration of this piece. While breaking down an emblem of hip-hop history, he also creates a new, reformed piece of that history. His work merges the physical and digital world in a way that has never been seen before. Avery Andon had the brilliant idea of the collaboration between Ghostface Killah and Jason of Beverly Hills for this creation. Andon leads ArtGrails upcoming NFT drops that highlight a wide range of renowned and influential buyers.

Andon comments on the event, stating, “this auction features some of the most monumental custom NFTs ever created, which required a platform that provides a truly custom experience for delivering high-end art. With NFTs en route to becoming an industry standard, ArtGrails pushes the industry forward, demonstrating that the future of fine art and collectibles goes beyond paper certificates of authenticity; therefore raising the standard for art buyers, owners, and dealers.”

The singular, unique set that includes the Ghostface Killah Gold Coin and the NFT Video of the melting and minting of the previous bracelet opens for auction on ArtGrails.com at 5:00PM EST on November 30th. The auction will end at 5:00PM EST on December 5th. To learn more about ArtGrails and to participate in the online NFT auctions, please visit the ArtGrails website at http://wwwartgrails.com.

Alexis Sicklick’s Savory Soup Recipe

NYC Chef Alexis Sicklick is known for her savory fall recipes that push conventional cooking boundaries. One of Chef Alexis’ renowned and most unique dishes is her caramelized apple soup.

This caramelized apple soup came from one of Chef Alexis’ favorite fall soups; butternut squash and apple soup. The powerful notes included in butternut squash are optimized with the apple flavor that creates more acidity and depth. Like many others, Chef Alexis has a liking for the caramelized apple, and this was the flavor that she wanted to encapsulate in her own soup. Chef Alexis describes the soup as a combination of “all your favorite parts of French Onion Soup into a lighter, luscious version for the fall, focusing on the elegance of the cooked apple and enhancing it with the unmistakable goodness of caramelized onions.”

For the full story on Chef Alexis’ caramelized apple soup, read HERE.

Caramelized Apple Soup Recipe

Soup Ingredients

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

2 White Onions

6 Apples, any variety/mix

1 cup White Wine

Water

½ bunch Thyme

½ bunch Oregano

4 Cinnamon Sticks

4 Star Anise

Salt

  1. Slice the onions 1/8-inch thick. Cover the bottom of a wide soup pot with a thin layer of oil and caramelize the onions over low heat.
  2. Peel and rough chop the apples into medium-sized pieces. Once the onions are golden brown, add the apples and cook until they also turn golden brown and begin to break down, but not too much so they lose their moisture and body (the apple starches help to create the velvety allure!) – you can raise the heat a bit for this step. Stir often to prevent them from sticking.
  3. Once the apples turn soft and deep brown, deglaze with white wine and reduce just a little. Add water to cover and the herbs and spices in a sachet of cheesecloth for quick removal later. Season with a few pinches of salt, cover with a lid, and bring to a boil.
  4. After the soup boils, turn it to a simmer and let it cook, covered, for about 1 hour.
  5. Taste the soup and adjust the seasoning as needed – feel free to add in some ground cinnamon or grated star anise if desired. With an immersion or regular blender (careful, it is hot – use small batches for the second option), blend until the soup is smooth and velvety.

Garnishes

1 cup Toasted Hazelnuts

8 ounces White Cheddar

  1. While the soup is cooking, preheat the oven to 325°F. Cut the hazelnuts in half and toast them in the oven for about 10 minutes/until they become amber in appearance.
  2. Grate the cheddar cheese using the large grates on a box grater.

To Serve

  1. Turn the oven to ‘Broil.’ Line oven-proof bowls on a tray and pour the soup into them. Cover with a layer of cheese and place in the oven until the top is completely melted and turns golden brown.
  2. Garnish with the hazelnuts and enjoy!

Greubel Forsey – Balancier S2

Live from the Dubai Watch Week: Greubel Forsey unveils its Balancier S2 at Cipriani

The new Balancier S2 by Greubel Forsey made its entrance onto the watchmaking stage on 27 November 2021 in the middle of the Dubai Watch Week – an event, a date, and a timepiece to remember!

Drawing inspiration from the strengths of the Atelier’s iconic Balancier S, the Balancier S2 is another signature timepiece, placing Greubel Forsey firmly at the heart of twenty-first century Fine Watchmaking. Spirited, contemporary, in step with its times, and it’s the final outcome of a painstaking process of minimalism embarked on by Greubel Forsey: an imposing 46.5-millimetre titanium timepiece.

“Dubai Watch Week was the ideal platform for the launch of our new Balancier S². First of all, because of the exceptional relationship we have with our partner Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, but also because of the quality of the event and the audience participating in it. A new chapter opens for Greubel Forsey.” says Antonio Calce, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Board Member.

Mohammed Abdulmagied Seddiqi, CCO of Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons announces: “The launch of the new Balancier S2 and of the Balancier S – the Ether is a momentous milestone between Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons and Greubel Forsey and the long-standing partnership between both entities. The first ever carbon Balancier S – the Ether, developed in collaboration with the brand, with a large titanium bridge limited edition is indicative of the progress made in watchmaking while commemorating the UAE’s 50th anniversary.”

The launch event organised by Greubel Forsey on 27 November at the Cipriani Dubai was redolent with success. The guests discovered a timepiece exuding tension, contrast, and strength. The legendary inclined balance wheel remains the beating heart of the piece, housed here in a new case replete with all-new finishes – new for this model, and indeed for Greubel Forsey.

For the first time, the central double-arched bridge has been openworked, epitomising the quest for something lighter, simpler, and uncluttered. The new titanium strap further enhances this ethos, blending seamlessly with the case – also made from titanium, as is the bezel with its polished sides. The latter has been shorn of the manufacturer’s traditional engraved values, while the barrel cover no longer bears the outsize ‘Greubel Forsey’ signature, but instead a modernist, circular pattern designed exclusively for the piece.

Only 38 of these new Balancier S2 watches will be produced per year, for four years: 22 with an anthracite grey caseback and 16 with a light grey caseback, accompanied by a plain or textured black rubber or titanium strap.

His collaborations include “Coffee” with Tiësto, “It Is What It Is” featuring Elise LeGrow and “Cali Dreams” with Fancy Inc featuring The Beach. California Dreamin’” ft. High Jinx stirred the interest of fans when Lorenzo, Chris Lake and FISHER began playing the record in their summer sets. After its release in October, the track took the #1 spot on Spotify’s Operator, Housewerk and UK House Music playlists, entered Spotify’s Viral charts in over 10 countries (including the U.S. and U.K.) and appeared on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs tally. Combined global streams quickly soared past 3.5 million, with three million streams on Spotify alone.

Dancing Astronaut said, “House heads rejoice, as one of the most highly sought-after IDs of the summer finally receives an official release.” This Song Is Sick observed, “Without tarnishing the original vocals one bit, [Lorenzo] was able to breathe new life into ‘California Dreamin’ with the power of house music.”

California Dreamin’” marks Lorenzo’s second release on Black Book, following 2018’s Ectomorph.

ABOUT BLACK BOOK RECORDS:

British-born, L.A. based producer/DJ Chris Lake – whose monumental discography includes a series of chart-topping hits and a GRAMMY® Award nomination – founded Black Book Records in 2016. Initially, he envisioned the label as a vehicle for releasing his music independently. Famed BBC Radio 1 host Danny Howard asked to debut a track Lake had played for him, “Operator (Ring Ring)” feat. Dances With White Girls, and, eager to accommodate him, Lake quickly launched Black Book Records in order to release the track.

Named “Hottest Record In The World” by Annie Mac, “Operator (Ring Ring)” emerged as a #1 SiriusXM hit, drew support from house mainstays like Claude VonStroke and Armand van Helden, and became the unofficial anthem of Holy Ship! the following January. Releases by such acts as Walker & Royce, Goooey Vuitton, and Wade soon followed, as Lake turned to developing artists and empowering them to make significant gains in global touring and streaming.

By 2020, Black Book releases were routinely ruling the Beatport chart, with tracks by Fast Eddie, Josement, Solardo, Armand Van Helden, Noizu, Martin Ikin and Green Velvet all ascending to the #1 spot. Black Book teamed up with Astralwerks in late 2020 to release The Answer, Lake’s epic collaboration with legendary producer Armand Van Helden.

Forthcoming Black Book releases include material by Cloonee, DEL30, Prok & Fitch, Alex Kennon, Franklyn Watts, Mele NightFunk, and more. In the spring of 2021, the label released Black Book ID’s – an EP spotlighting exclusive, in-demand records that have been heard in live sets or otherwise previewed but have eluded official release. Black Book ID’s will also introduce artists on the rise and feature new music from Lake himself.

Black Book enjoys enduring support from Radio 1 DJs Annie Mac, Danny Howard and Pete Tong and continues to break new artists. Recently, Miane earned her first Beatport top 10 single with the release of “Who Are You.” In fact, Black Book now ranks No. 7 of all labels on Beatstats, across all of Beatport over the past 12 months. The label’s artists have graced the covers of Spotify’s Cratediggers and Housewerk playlists as well as Apple Music’s danceXL.

ABOUT ASTRALWERKS:

Established in New York City and now finding its new home in the historic Capitol Records Tower in Los Angeles, Astralwerks was the brainchild of staffers at Caroline Records who saw an opportunity for a label focused on the emerging electronic and ambient scene. Having reached a milestone of 25 years, Astralwerks has quickly become a modern, artist-first label with a true focus on nurturing talent across the electronic genre and beyond. Acting with a scalable, independent, and global thinking mentality with the capability to tap into the resources of a major label, has allowed Astralwerks to retain and sign up-and-coming artists such as Illenium, Jonas Blue, Alison Wonderland, EDEN, Sigma and Axwell /\ Ingrosso. As a testament to this pioneering approach, Astralwerks has amassed 30 GRAMMY® nominations, taken home six GRAMMY Awards and had historic releases from the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Swedish House Mafia, Halsey, Porter Robinson, Phoenix, Eric Prydz, Fatboy Slim and many more.

Noisy Toys List Released

The American Academy of Audiology is warning parents about the dangers of noisy toys as the Sight & Hearing Association releases its annual Noisy Toys List for 2021. The American Academy of Audiology is a national association representing audiologists across the U.S. The Sight & Hearing Association is based in St. Paul, Minnesota with a goal to work towards the prevention of vision and hearing loss. Both organizations are urging parents to be cautious this holiday season when selecting toys. Recognizing that tiny ears are particularly susceptible to hearing damage, it is important to check noise levels before purchase.

“Many parents don’t realize the permanent damage a simple toy can inflict on a child’s hearing,” said Sarah Sydlowski, Au.D., Ph.D., MBA, president of the American Academy of Audiology; and associate chief improvement officer and audiology director of the Hearing Implant Program at Cleveland Clinic. “When we fail to protect a child’s hearing, the result can be irreversible hearing loss.” The inner ear contains delicate hair cells which do not regrow. Once these are damaged by noise, the result can be permanent hearing loss.

The Sight & Hearing Association has produced an annual list of noisy toys prior to the holidays for the past 24 years. Since 1939, SHA has been identifying and preventing vision and hearing loss, in partnership with other professional and community organizations, by providing screenings, education and research. “During the holiday season, we look for the most popular sound-producing toys on the market and, with a sound level meter, we measure the decibel level to raise awareness regarding how dangerously loud and potentially damaging toys can be to children. Toys are tested based on how a child would play with them, first at arm’s length (10 inches) and then next to the ear, which is how a child often listens to a noisy toy,” explained Kathy Webb, executive director of SHA.

“It’s very important that parents pay attention to this list as well as any toy they purchase. Hearing damage can be from a one-time exposure or multiple exposures over time,” explained Sydlowski. “The louder a sound is, the shorter the amount of time you can safely be around it. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health recommends sounds at 85 dB can be safe for up to eight hours. But for every 3 dB louder the sound is, the safe listening time reduces by half. Anyone buying toys for children needs to be aware of loud noises, particularly toys that have loud bursts—cap guns, popping balloons, air horns, etc. which are loud enough to damage hearing permanently with one short exposure.”

A study released in January 2017 by researchers with the University of Alberta in Canada, determined the noise levels of popping balloons. They studied popping them with a pin, blowing them up until they ruptured and crushing them until they burst. The ruptured balloons clocked in at 168 decibels, four decibels louder than a 12-gauge shotgun.

Sydlowski advises parents to use phone apps to test the sound levels of toys before buying them. “Toys that make noise at or above 85 dBA can contribute to noise-induced hearing loss. If they come in at 85 decibels or higher when holding your phone microphone near them, like your child would hold the toy near their own ear, don’t buy them. It isn’t worth the risk. Remember, the louder the sound, the faster the damage and damage continues with exposure.”

While hearing loss numbers are rising in adults in the U.S., the total number of children with some type of hearing loss is unknown and many cases go undiagnosed or misdiagnosed.

“A child with just minimal hearing loss can be missing 50 percent of classroom discussion,” Sydlowski explained. These children will need to use extra effort in order to hear what is being said and they often become distracted and exhausted by the end of the day. These characteristics can be mistaken for learning disabilities when what the child needs is management of the hearing loss, typically in the form of hearing aids and other assistive listening devices.

Reduced hearing can lead to behavioral issues, lack of focus, even depression in children. Children with hearing loss often don’t recognize that they can’t hear and parents don’t always know the signs.

Sydlowski cautioned, “Loud toys aren’t just annoying to parents, they can be a danger to children. Parents should exercise caution when buying toys with sound, including video games. With toys and games where you can turn the sound down, set the sound at an acceptable, non-harmful level and teach children to keep them at that level. Also, be vigilant about any signs that may indicate your child is having difficulty with their hearing. If you have any concerns about your child’s hearing, have a comprehensive hearing test with an audiologist.”

YouTube Originals premiered the first episode of “Copy That!,” the new five-part competition comedy series from Sony Pictures Television and executive producer Charles Wachter, where four-star YouTube creators each with a different, incredible skill, step out of their comfort zones and attempt to copy their fellow creators’ area of expertise in hysterical ways! Episodes debut daily on each spotlighted creators’ channel beginning on today only on YouTube. Additional “Copy That!” bonus content will premiere daily with each episode for YouTube Premium subscribers, only on the YouTube Originals official channel.

“Copy That!” stars Sofie Dossi (6.21M subscribers), Lisette aka Luhhsetty (3.15M subscribers), Rosanna Pansino (13M subscribers) and Preston (17.9M subscribers) who demo their gaming, cooking, dancing, or beauty and makeup mastery in a blur of action and charisma, and then it is up to the other star creators to COPY THAT! and nail their own version. Whether it be a delectable crêpe cake, make-up demos, or jaw dropping dance routine, the other star creators will be in over their heads trying to create their own magic in a space they know little about.

Fans can follow the episodic rollout on each creator’s channel daily:

“Copy That!” is produced by Sony Pictures Television and executive produced by Charles Wachter. Susanne Daniels is Global Head of Original Content for YouTube. Alex Piper serves as Head of Unscripted for YouTube Originals, with Cara Casey and Ryan Bratton overseeing “Copy That!” for the global platform.
