G-SHOCK x New Era

Casio announced that it joined with longtime collaborator New Era Wednesday for a brand new timepiece.

The GM110NE-1A is a celebration of New Era’s 100th anniversary and includes the classic headwear brand’s flag logo at the 3 o’clock position on the watch’s face.

The gold accents work in conjunction with an engraved gold IP case back that features inscriptions reading “100 1920-2020,” a tribute to New Era’s long and storied history.

While carrying the design of the G-SHOCK GM110, the GM110NE-1A has a dark gray metal-forged and polished IP bezel.

The GM110NE-1A also comes with two bands.

One is a black cloth band lined with green, similar to New Era’s famous 59FIFTY hat. It also has a gold buckle and band keepers on the underside, a nod to the sought after 59FIFTY cap, gold buckle, band keepers, an embroidered New Era logo and a gold-speckled back.

The other is a gold-speckled black urethane band with a stainless-steel keeper.

Sustainability award for the Rado True Thinline Leaf

Rarely have the award and the prize winner been better suited to each other: our emerald green Rado True Thinline Leaf was presented with the prestigious GREEN GOOD DESIGN Award by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies. The Green Good Design Award 2020 went to our True Thinline Leaf. Made from hightech ceramic, this timepiece features a green iridescent mother-of-pearl dial with a delicate leaf structure embossed on the underside. As a result of the creative partnership with Grandi Giardini Italiani, an organisation dedicated to preserving extraordinary Italian gardens, this line celebrates the interplay of design and nature.

G-SHOCK UNVEILS FULL METAL GMWB5000 WITH PREMIUM LASER-CUT GRID DESIGN

Latest Model Boasts a Futuristic and Innovative “Grid Tunnel” Pattern on All-Black Stainless-Steel Case

Casio G-SHOCK announces a new limited-edition timepiece to its Full Metal Series, the GMWB5000CS-1. The new timepiece is constructed with a stainless-steel case and band that features a brand-new, laser-carved grid design.

While inheriting the shape of the first G-SHOCK, the new timepiece boasts an evolved exterior with full metal construction and a Grid Tunnel pattern that connects the past with the future. After a black IP finish is applied to the metal, a grid pattern is engraved by laser, adding a modern touch to the classic design. The new GMWB5000CS-1 features a diamond-like carbon (DLC) finishing process and laser etching on the screw-lock back case and upholds its metal, shock-resistant exterior with a fine resin cushioning material that is inserted between the stainless-steel case and bezel, and then enclosed in a protective shell. The band connection sections also employ a three-pronged structure to distribute the impact from shocks, further enhancing the model’s state-of-the-art strength and design.

The new timepiece comes equipped with several of G-SHOCK’s most premium technical features, including Bluetooth Connectivity via the G-SHOCK Connected app, Multi-Band 6 Atomic Timekeeping for self-adjusting and accurate hour/date display virtually anywhere on the globe, and a specially developed button structure that guards the button shafts from the inside against lateral shocks. It also features Tough Solar Technology, rendering it capable of self-charging even with low sun exposure.

Partnering with the Nassau Fire Department, G-Shock hosted an exclusive ‘Train Like a Firefighter’ event to unveil their latest product—the Mudmaster. 360 Magazine, along with a dozen other editors and photographers, attended this one-day class to gain first-hand experience with G-Shock’s high performance watch.

Arriving at G-Shock’s Soho location in Manhattan, the media personnel were transported to the Nassau County Fire Department in Long Island—and boy were they in for an adrenaline rush! Each attendee was gifted a G-Shock Mudmaster watch to test during this day of high intensity classes instructed by certified firefighting teachers. The students for the day were clad head to toe in heavy, authentic fire fighting gear, doing everything from traversing a pitch black building, busting out of a trapped room and sliding down the rope of a second floor window– all while wearing their G-Shock Mudmaster watch. The media guests were both physically and mentally tested.

Living up to its name, the mud resistant Mudmaster watch was like a diamond through every firefighting drill. Never did it scratch or catch dirt through contact with debris.
