THE HUNDREDS × G-SHOCK

CASIO G-SHOCK PARTNERS WITH THE HUNDREDS ON NEW 35TH ANNIVERSARY COLLABORATION TIMEPIECE

First Available Exclusively at ComplexCon, Custom Design Elements Nod to Both Brands’ Anniversaries

Today, Casio G-SHOCK announces their second collaboration model in partnership with international streetwear brand The Hundreds – available first exclusively at ComplexCon this weekend. In celebration of G-SHOCK’s 35th anniversary, as well as The Hundred’s 15th anniversary, the men’s timepiece features an updated DW5600 case in a matte-black colorway. With The Hundreds’ signature red, yellow and black colorway dynamically positioned on the face, the new model also features their brand ethos of “Blood Sweat & Years” on the watch strap.

Following a previous collaboration between the two fashion entities in 2012, the DW5600HDR-1 model nods to G-SHOCK’s original timepiece with a classic square face and compellingly simple yet distinctive design, as well as The Hundreds’ two signature logos on the strap and on the case back.

“Since we aspire to have a timeless brand, in handpicking our collaborators we seek out partners with classic legacies,” said Bobby Hundreds, founder of The Hundreds. “Casio G-SHOCK is a heritage player, having maintained relevance through design and quality over generations. When The Hundreds works with G-SHOCK, we’re not just making a watch, we are bridging our histories: A timepiece that stands the test of time.”

The Hundreds, a streetwear brand founded in Los Angeles in 2003, was inspired by California’s punk, hip-hop, skateboarding and surfing culture. Its products are now sold worldwide and have expanded to include eyewear.

A video was created to showcase the new timepiece. Take a look: http://bit.ly/gshxhrd

The DW5600HDR-1 will first be showcased at ComplexCon, a one-of-a-kind street culture festival in LA that is bringing together the top brands across pop culture, music, art, food, style, sports, innovation, activism, and education. The festival is taking place on November 3 and 4 in Long Beach, California.

In addition to a black IP case back, the DW5600HDR-1 timepiece also comes equipped with G-SHOCK technology including:

  • 200M water resistance and shock resistance
  • EL backlight
  • Flash alert
  • Multi-function alarm

Jesse Palter-The Paper Trail

Detroit born, LA based, prolific singer/songwriter Jesse Palter releases debut EP The Paper Trail October 22 on Artistry Music, featuring five tracks of aggressive, piano-pounding pop/rock in the vein of Carole King, Sarah McLachlan and Sara Bareilles. The first single going to radio is “Heavy Is The Crown,” an edgy, incisive pop-rocker examining narcisscism and victim-hood at is best.  Check it out here.

Comments Palter: “All of these songs are paving the way towards establishing myself as an artist and songwriter. My approach throughout this project was to find a way to capture a full snapshot of my life and what I’ve been going through. This is the beginning of what I hope will be a long, fulfilling journey.”

Palter, who launched her career in Detroit and Chicago before moving to Los Angeles to focus on her development as a pop artist, was supported in her sound and overall vision by producer Doug Petty, a veteran keyboardist who has worked with Celine Dion, Britney Spears, Nick Lachey and Lisa Loeb, among others. Petty kept the integrity of Palter’s songs from demo stage through the various layers and textures brought forth to compliment her unique artistry. A high caliber of studio musicians played on the project including bassists Tim Lefebvre and Alex Al and drummers Matt Chamberlain and Aaron Sterling.

With The Paper Trail EP, Palter has committed herself to the discipline of perfecting the craft of songwriting. She focused on strengthening her creative muscles to discover what melodies, lyrics and chord changes work best, allowing herself to be vulnerable, brave and brutally honest at the same time. The songs are autobiographical, representing her life and what’s she’s been through.

Palter launched her jazz career as a teenager, performing oboe and trumpet in the school jazz band. She connected with singer/songwriter Andrew Gold (“Thank You For Being A Friend”), who brought her to Nashville to work on original material and record a demo, which generated interest with several major labels. At 15, she began working with the Grammy-winning production team the Bass Brothers (Eminem). Her skill for improvisational singing and a developing passion for legendary jazz vocalists, led to her shift towards jazz. She studied at the University Of Michigan as a jazz and contemplative studies major.

Her eclectic musical upbringing includes exposure to a wide array of music that inspired her to deeply respect the art of great songs and songwriters, from Carole King and Joni Mitchell, to Prince, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson and The Beatles. Music and singing was always in her blood. Her grandmother, Doris Raynor, was once an opera prodigy in NY.

In early 2019, Artistry Music will follow up The Paper Trail EP with the single “Sever The Ties” and a full-length debut album.

Platinum Recording Artist Leroy Sanchez

Critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Leroy Sanchez will embark on a 14-city tour, kicking off October 17 in Los Angeles, CA in support of his new single and video, “Preacher,” set to release in partnership with BroadbandTV (BBTV) on all digital streaming platforms October 19. Select dates are in support of multi-platinum recording artist Andy Grammar’s national “The Good Parts” tour. Tickets are now available at www.leroysanchez.com

I have never felt so strongly about a song or the vision for it. It shows a very personal side of me that I’ve never shown before. It’s not easy to be vulnerable in front of an audience, but being honest and facing our weaknesses is what makes us stronger,” says Sanchez.

Preacher premieres on YouTube on October 19 and is now available to pre-save on Spotifyand Apple

Sanchez’s 2017 debut EP “Elevated” has garnered over 10 million digital streams (and growing), earning him two Teen Choice Award nominations and an opportunity to perform with Clean Bandit on the 2017 broadcast. The release of his debut single Man Of The Year received praise from Billboard and People.

In addition to having over 3.8 million subscribers on YouTube, Sanchez’s accolades include two Platinum-certified singles in Spain – Blas Canto’s “El No Soy” and Malu’s “Invisible.”

Additionally, he has toured and worked with many notable industry hit makers, including Machine Gun Kelly, where he’s featured on the rapper’s track “Gone”, and now multi-platinum recording pop artist Andy Grammar.

Making True Friends Online: Reality Or A Fairytale

Human beings are sociable creatures requiring communication in their daily lives. What happens, though, when all the communication transfers from an offline space to an online one? How do people meet each other then? And how is to make new friends nowadays? No need to state that the Internet has changed the way we interact and live. Our task in these conditions would be to adjust to what we have and find ways to connect even in the digital world.

Some online communication tools like social media are well-known to us as they enable connections within the circle of people we somehow know or have a general idea about. This is made through special features of interest sharing and mutual friends. Others tools like random cam chat present us with an opportunity to video chat with a complete stranger about whom we know nothing but that he or she is interested in communications just as we are.

Why Random Chat Takes Over The Digital Space

If you are new to the whole concept of cam chats, here are a few things for you to learn first. They enable us to meet people from all over the world in real time and have a video conversation with those. Apart from being free and easily accessible, some of these tools also have differentiation in terms of people purposes and interest. Whether you want to mee the love of your life or a couple of interesting people, random chat is the solution.

Below are a few explanatory statements regarding the ever-growing popularity of online communication sites bringing people from all over the world together:

worldwide availability: if there is something present all over the world other than air, it must be the Internet. Obviously, some regions have issues with the Internet connection but that is not an issue for the majority people on the Earth. Therefore, if you want to meet people of all backgrounds and cultures staying in your comfy bed or room, you may easily do this with the help of the Internet connection;

new and interesting people: if you feel tired of your closest surrounding of people or simply want to try something totally different, you are free to use cam chats. Given the fact that your speaking partner will most likely be from the different continent, there is no way you will have a boring and non-enriching conversation;

effortless access: besides being free, these chats do not require you to have special equipment or anything else. The only thing for you to do is to go online and be yourself. If you are really interested in having some fun and making new friends, you should simply behave naturally and be able to connect to the video platform.

To wrap things up, all the stories about making new friends online are not fairytales. Despite social media, there are also some decent instruments for you to meet the most unexpected nationalities and personalities online at no effort. Therefore, try to disperse all the myths around online communications and go for it!

THE BEATLES × APPLE MUSIC

THE BEATLES RELEASE NEW “GLASS ONION” MUSIC VIDEO EXCLUSIVELY ON APPLE MUSIC
Premiere Includes Rare Beatles Performance Footage and Photos Ahead of the Upcoming Release of
The BEATLES (‘White Album’)

Enjoy a Sneak Peek HERE
As the world readies itself for the comprehensive new edition of The Beatles’ 1968 studio album, The BEATLES (‘White Album’), the group today launches a brand new music video for the album’s “Glass Onion,” available now exclusively on Apple Music. Beatlemania hit Apple Music back in December of 2015 and has continued to grow with streaming audiences ever since, more than 40% in the last year alone.

Here’s a special sneak peek of The Beatles’ new “Glass Onion” video:

Full of delightful surprises and featuring rare photos and footage from The Beatles’ vault, the “Glass Onion” music video takes fans on a journey into the creation of the pull-out poster from the ‘White Album.’ Working closely with Apple Corps Ltd., the video is produced by Richard Barnett and Layla Atkinson of Trunk Animation, and directed by Trunk’s director team Alasdair+Jock, who painstakingly reconstructed and vividly animated the original poster’s montage. The poster, created by ‘White Album’ art director Richard Hamilton along with Paul McCartney, was built on an easel at Hamilton’s north London studio, using images supplied by each of the individual Beatles.

The video presents treats along the way for fans to discover: clever animation, photo styling, and well-matched footage add movement and depth to the poster’s original imagery; a little yellow submarine is revealed in Paul’s bubble bath photo; Jeremy Hillary Boob, Ph.D. pops up from the Sea of Holes; an American flag pencil moves in eraser-first, representing U.S. censorship of the poster’s nude John and Yoko drawing; and much more.

For 50 years, The BEATLES (‘White Album’) has invited its listeners to venture forth and explore the breadth and ambition of its music, delighting and inspiring each new generation in turn. On November 9, The Beatles will release a suite of lavishly presented ‘White Album’ packages (Apple Corps Ltd./Capitol/UMe). The album’s 30 tracks are newly mixed by producer Giles Martin and mix engineer Sam Okell in stereo and 5.1 surround audio, joined by 27 early acoustic demos and 50 session takes, most of which are previously unreleased in any form

Greta Van Fleet “Anthem Of The Peaceful Army”

“Music has always been a centerpiece in all four of our lives,” said the band’s Jake Kiszka, “even when we were very young, when we first started hearing our parents’ blues, folk, and R&B records. So to be able to create the music we love, that so many people are hearing and responding to, is truly an honor.”

The Milestone Hotel And Residences Launches “Practically Perfect” Stay

The award-winning five-star Milestone Hotel & Residences, a quintessentially British mansion-hotel located opposite Kensington Palace and Gardens, is offering a “Practically Perfect” hotel stay starting from November 1, 2018. This suitably British experience includes an overnight stay in supreme luxury, whether in a room or suite, full English breakfast for two and a number of Mary Poppins-inspired activities.

Upon arrival, young guests will be given a “silver” chocolate tuppence which they can exchange for a bird-feeding kit from The Milestone’s concierge team. During their stay in the heart of Kensington, children can use the kit to feed the ducks in Hyde Park located nearby. If the weather is right, guests can also opt to fly a kite “up to the highest height!” in the Italian Garden at Kensington Gardens. Children can even take their brand-new kite home with them priced at £40 (approx. US$52).

The Milestone’s signature “Most Delightful Way” mocktail

The special hotel stay also includes a Spoonful of Sugar Afternoon Tea for two – a newly introduced afternoon tea concept created by the hotel’s kitchen team that captures the fun and frivolity of the story with a variety of cleverly themed pastries. Menu items include a chocolate pastry in the shape of Mary Poppins’ iconic floral hat, a black “chimney sweeps” macaron, a cupcake served with a chocolate spoon(ful of sugar) and many other sweet treats. A children’s version of the afternoon tea also includes kite-shaped biscuits covered in cherry ganache. Guests can taste The Milestone’s new Little Nip from Every Sip cocktail with their afternoon tea, made with muddled raspberries, peach liqueur, peach purée, orange juice and ginger ale, while little guests can enjoy the mocktail version called the …Most Delightful Way, served in a special medicine bottle.

Continuing with the theme of the Mary Poppins story, guests will also receive a red carnation buttonhole, just like Mr. Banks wore on his lapel in the original Disney film. Guests may notice that all Milestone hotel staff also pin a red carnation to their lapels, a signature of the Red Carnation Hotel Collection, of which The Milestone Hotel is a member.

The “Practically Perfect” hotel stay is valid from November 1, 2018 until January 31, 2019, and starts at £540 (approx. US$696) per night, based on two people sharing a Classic Double Room. Walk-in guests can also enjoy the Spoonful of Sugar Afternoon Tea in the hotel’s Park Lounge between November 1, 2018 and January 31, 2019 and is priced at £50 (approx. US$64) per person. The children’s version of the afternoon tea is priced at £25 (approx. US$32) per child under 12. Afternoon Tea is served daily at 1pm, 3pm and 5pm.
