PRESIDENTE LAUNCHES NEW INITIATIVE TO FUEL GREATER HISPANIC REPRESENTATION IN SPORTS BUSINESS

Diversity within sports is an ongoing issue both on and off the field. Presidente, the iconic Dominican pilsner, alongside Alex Rodriguez, President and Chairman of Presidente, are today announcing a new initiative called “Step Up To the Plate” that will look to provoke change and create more opportunities for Hispanic students interested in a career in sports.

A summer-long program, this initiative will help fuel a pipeline of qualified candidates into the business side of the industry by offering internship and networking opportunities, as well as financial support.

In partnership with the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, the ‘Step Up to the Plate’ program has awarded nine deserving students a three-month paid internship working on projects across the business that include a strategic sports focus, in collaboration with the Sports Marketing team at Anheuser-Busch – one of the biggest sponsors in sport for almost 40 years.

In addition to the internship, the program awards each student a grant for living expenses in a combined package worth approximately $15K, as well as the opportunity to join Anheuser-Busch in a full-time role following graduation.

“We recognize that the need to diversify leadership in sports is greater than ever, and as a brand that champions the progression of Hispanic culture, we’re more than thrilled to announce this program,” said Alex Monroy, Senior Brand Director of Presidente at Anheuser-Busch. “Step Up to the Plate is meant to bridge the gap between accessibility and opportunity for these students, and ultimately arm them with the tools and experience to “Be the Presidente” of their career in sports.”

In addition to the selected interns, Presidente will give anyone an opportunity to tune into a virtual Q&A session led by none other than former Yankee player, business mogul and Chairman of Presidente, Alex Rodriguez. Taking place on July 11, the virtual seminar will be streamed via Instagram live by Alex Rodriguez (@arod) and Presidente (@presidenteUSA)

“I’m very excited to be working with Presidente on a program that will fuel greater diversity within the industry,” said Alex Rodriguez, President and Chairman of Presidente USA. “Hispanic athletes and fans have played a major part of baseball’s success throughout the years, which is why we think it’s vital that we’re represented not just on the field but in the boardrooms as well.”

Presidente intends for this initiative to be the first push in leveling the playing field for aspiring Hispanic graduates with a passion for sports. As such, the program recipients will begin their internships in Mid-June and will be placed across the Anheuser-Busch marketing team so they can best learn the ins and outs of the business.

After landing and docking, Vaughn was able to enjoy shopping and culinary greatness in Bridgeport.

Fashion Designer Giannina Azar Launches New ‘Metallic’ Line in Miami This Sunday Ahead of Art Basel

The Collection Features Stunning Evening Dresses Wrapped in Glitter, Metals and Rhinestones, and is a Collaboration with John Casblancas International Center and Model & Talent Management Agency

She has dressed superstars like J. Lo, Gwen Stefani and Brittney Spears. Her designs have been featured worldwide in Vogue, Cosmopolitan and Forbes. This weekend, just ahead of Art Basel, Miami is getting its first look at “Metallic,” the new high-end line of evening wear from fashion ikon and international designer Giannina Azar.

 “My new ‘Metallic’ collection is avant-garde, modern and opulent, draped in glitter, metals and rhinestones and is designed for today’s modern woman who wants to make a statement,” Azar said. “It highlights true metallic tones, in addition to orange, red and black colors and is a design I am extremely proud of.”

Azar is collaborating once again with Amy Dalli, the president of John Casablancas International Center and Model & Talent Management Agency in Miami. The two previously worked together for Miami Fashion Week, New York Fashion Week and on the premiere of Azar’s swim line that debuted at Miami Swim Week.

“Giannina and I met a few years ago and we immediately formed a special professional relationship based on the mutual standard of excellence in all that we do,” Dalli said. “The new ‘Metallic’ collection includes some of the most exquisite designs I’ve ever seen and proves once again why Giannina is such a trendsetter in this industry. I’m so excited to be working with her again.”

Dalli grew up modeling for John Casablancas and acquired the Miami-based agency in 2018. Her goal is to bring the John Casablancas name back to the level of worldwide notoriety it had in the 1980s and 90s. Collaborating with industry legends like Azar is just one way she’s doing that. The 5,000 square foot MTM center in Doral includes a runway room, two makeup rooms, an acting studio and a photo studio to develop and represent talent starting at the age of five.

Coach unveiled its holiday campaign with the central message “Holiday Is Where You Find It.” It emphasizes the message that holiday is a state of mind regardless of how you’re celebrating this year.

There is no doubt that 2020 has been a unique year for everyone. Coach acknowledges this through the campaign and underscores that during these unprecedented times, the meaning of the holidays remains the same no matter how different festivities may look this year. They encourage fans of the brand to “cherish the big things, celebrate the small things.”

“Holiday Is Where You Find It” highlights Coach’s belief in optimism, finding joy in the little things and seeking comfort in togetherness and family traditions. The campaign will be presented in a series of short vignettes and images showcasing the cast celebrating new and old traditions. 

The cast consists of Jennifer Lopez and Michael B. Jordan and their families, as well as ambassadors such as Kiko Mizuhara, Jeremy Lin and Yang Zi. Other members of the Coach Family featured in additional content include Camila Morrone, Megan Thee Stallion, Quincy, Yuna and Ramla Ali. 

Jordan is depicted celebrating Kwanzaa with his parents Michael B. Jordan Sr. and Donna Jordan, brother Khalid Jordan and sister Jamila Jordan-Theus. A video shows the family setting up the lights outside to spread holiday cheer. “Hanging out and giving back, honestly that’s at the top of my list,” said Jordan. 

Lopez is seen on Coach’s Instagram with her mother Guadelupe Lopez, and her children Emme and Max Muñiz. “I find holiday in the smiles on my kids’ faces,” said Lopez. “Number one on my to-do list is to count my blessings.” She is photographed wearing the Beat Shoulder Bag and the Holiday Cityscape Intarsia Sweater.

Lopez’s involvement in the holiday campaign follows her first collaboration with the fashion brand for the Coach X Jennifer Lopez Hutton Bag which launched earlier this month. The bag was designed with Creative Director Stuart Vevers and inspired by Coach and Lopez’s shared values of authenticity and inclusivity. It combines Coach as a modern-day icon with Lopez’s unique approach to style.

The holiday campaign spotlights the Beat Shoulder Bag, inspired by the downtown attitude of New York. The purse has three compartments for organization and a secure snap closure. The crossbody strap allows for hands-free wear, while the interchangeable chain strap lets you carry the bag. Crafted with soft leather, the Beat Shoulder Bag is available in a variety of colors and patterns, with distinct embellishments accenting some of the versions.

Also presented is the new Hitch backpack and belt bag for men. Each comes in three different color variations. The backpack is available in solid black and patterned black/gray, brown/black and brown/tan displaying Coach logos, while the belt bag is sold in solid amber and patterned brown and brown/tan with logos. Made of leather and canvas, the backpack is spacious and has multiple pockets for accessories. The bag is durable and lightweight, making it multifunctional and perfect for anything from work to travel. The leather belt bag was created with a hands-free design, and the zip closures and exterior pocket make essential items easily accessible. The bag can effortlessly be dressed up or down.

A social series will feature the archive-inspired Swinger Bag, which was first introduced in the ‘80s and has been reimagined for today. The short-strap shoulder bag is available in both nylon and leather. The bag is sold in a number of solid colors and a patterned version containing Coach’s signature jacquard. It is secured with a zipper, along with the iconic turn-lock closure. The Swinger Bag also has a detachable strap for those who want to style it as a crossbody.

Coach worked with a global family of creatives to bring this campaign to life. This team included photographers and directors Ryan McGinley, Renell Medrano, Hao Zeng, Brad Ogbonna, Takako Noel, Gen Yoshida, Fan Xin, DJ Furth, Zhangmeng, Jian LV and Christelle de Castro.
