GRAMMY® Award-nominated, multi-platinum selling recording artist SZA releases “The Anonymous Ones,” the next song to be unveiled from the DEAR EVAN HANSEN (ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK), today.  A brand-new song was written specifically for the Universal Pictures release, “The Anonymous Ones” was written by Benj Pasek, Justin Paul, and Amandla Stenberg.  A co-star in the movie, Stenberg’s performance of the song as featured in the film is also released today. “The Anonymous Ones” is a song that reminds us that everyone, even people who seem to have it all together, have their own struggles and insecurities, and fears. But when we open up to each other we realize how much we can help one another just by being there for each other. The full lineup of artists has been revealed for the soundtrack, including Sam Smith with Summer Walker, SZA, Carrie Underwood and Dan + Shay, FINNEAS, and Tori Kelly. Plus, the 16-track album features new recordings by the film cast of these beloved songs with music and lyrics by the Oscar®, Grammy®, and Tony® winning songwriting team of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (La La Land, The Greatest Showman). Among the new songs, the Soundtrack also includes “A Little Closer” performed by Colton Ryan.

Last month, Universal Pictures & Interscope Records unveiled new renditions of the film’s iconic anthems “Waving Through A Window” and “You Will Be Found” performed by Tony®, Grammy® and Emmy® winner Ben Platt, who originated the role of Evan Hansen on Broadway and reprises the role for the film. And just last week saw the release of Carrie Underwood and Dan + Shay’s version of “Only Us.”

The film premiered last night at the Toronto International Film Festival and Universal Pictures will release Dear Evan Hansen in theaters nationwide on September 24th.

Dear Evan Hansen opened on Broadway in December 2016 and became a generation-defining phenomenon, winning six Tony Awards, including for Best Musical and for Ben Platt as Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical. The show’s cast album would go on to earn a Grammy®.

Now, in the film, Ben Platt returns as Evan Hansen, an anxious, isolated high schooler aching for understanding and belonging amid the chaos and cruelty of the social-media age.  360 Magazine is very excited to watch this movie as this brings a huge portion of our audience.

“BEST DRIVING SONG” SURVEY RESULTS

Insurance.com’s survey of the year’s most popular driving songs shows that most people get in touch with their inner disco dancer—with or without bell bottoms and platform shoes—while they’re on the road. “Dancing Queen” by ABBA shimmied its way into the top spot this year, knocking last year’s favorite, “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen, to fourth place.

This one-stop destination for expert advice on health, life and auto insurance asked drivers to name the best and worst road trip tunes, the genres most suited for driving, and the artists they’d rather not admit are on their playlist.

Songs topping driving playlists this year include:

  • ABBA – Dancing Queen – 26%
  • Journey – Don’t Stop Believin’ – 25%
  • AC/DC – Highway to Hell – 23%
  • Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody – 23%
  • Carrie Underwood – Jesus Take the Wheel – 20%

Not surprisingly, “Dancing Queen” was most popular among drivers aged 45-54, who may be nostalgic about boogying the night away to the song years ago.

Survey participants also made predictions about what the next great classic road trip songs will be:

  • Bruno Mars – Uptown Funk – 34%
  • Taylor Swift – Shake it off – 27%
  • Justin Timberlake – Can’t Stop the Feeling – 26%
  • Florida Georgia Line – Cruise – 25%
  • Billie Eilish – Bad guy – 20%

Although a disco song topped the list, the genre itself did not rank among drivers’ favorites for road trips. Instead, they prefer classic rock (15%), followed by country (12%) and ‘80s music (11%). Those who want to let Jesus take the wheel reported Christian gospel music is their favorite road trip genre (8%). Among the least popular genres—all with 1% popularity—were heavy metal, Latin, K-pop and indie/folk. Punk rock was dead last with 0%.

Survey respondents also listed some tunes and recording artists that they are unlikely to listen to with their windows down. 

Some of the most popular artists in the “guilty pleasures” category are:

  • Britney Spears – 16%
  • Adele – 15%
  • Bon Jovi – 12%
  • Justin Bieber – 12%
  • Celine Dion – 12%

“This is the third year we’ve conducted this light-hearted study,” explains Les Masterson, managing editor for Insurance.com. “It’s an opportunity to remind consumers that we spend a lot of time in our cars and it’s important to have the best possible car insurance coverage in the event that anything goes wrong.”

“While background music can be a nice way to help pass the time, it’s important that people maintain full attention on the road and avoid distracted driving,” Masterson adds.

This survey explores who controls the music during a road trip, how parents handle their children’s music choices, and what solo drivers are most likely to do when their favorite song comes on.

To gather these results, Insurance.com commissioned a survey of 1,000 drivers and asked them to choose the best and worst songs for driving, what song will be the next road-trip favorite, and which artists represent the biggest guilty driving pleasures.

Just as their critically acclaimed 2020 album Out of Body impacted audiences, NEEDTOBREATHE capitalized on a rush of inspiration and rode the wave of creativity. Without telling a soul, the band decamped to a historic house-turned-recording studio in Columbia, TN to begin working on new music. Over the course of three weeks, they resided under one roof, laughed during meals, explored their surroundings, and recorded together with co-producer and engineer Konrad Snyder and special guests. Out of this de facto creative hub and “extended summer camp,” they handcrafted an album reflective of the moment, yet independent of all expectations, even their own. They recently unveiled Live from the Woods Vol. 2, a live album recorded during three sold out, socially distanced outdoor concerts at Pelham, TN’s famed The Caverns. MADAME TUSSAUDS HOLLYWOOD WAX MUSEUM

When you walk through Hollywood, you can find 2,690 stars along the sidewalk calling out famous and celebrated singers, songwriters, actors, directors, and anyone who has had a lasting impact on Hollywood. You can also escape the heat and bustle of the city by exploring Madame Tussauds where you are treated to life-size replicas of all your favorite Hollywood Superstars.

Madame Tussauds Hollywood features three floors filled with wax replicas of singers, late night hosts, actors and actresses, and even famous characters from movies like Boris Karloff as The Mummy. You are first greeted with a wax figure of Baywatch Zac Efron in front of the Santa Monica Skyline, a massive King Kong next to the Empire State building, and a game face ready Kobe Bryant. After you purchase your tickets, you are welcomed into the museum and given free rein to tour and visit all three floors. Following COVID-19 guidelines, guests are to start from the third floor and make our way down for one-way traffic to flow better. The first-floor features Hollywood’s newest members and current pop culture icons: Demi Lovato, Jason Derulo, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Jenner, Morgan Freeman, Simon Cowell and more. And not forgetting to mention, the brand-new Ariana Grande wax figure dressed in her Rule The World music video outfit. The figurine is also posed in a pink-themed set from her famous 7 Rings video with a pyramid of champagne glasses behind her. This is a new piece for the museum and not yet updated in all of Madame Tussauds locations, so it is definitely not to be missed!

On the second floor, you pass Meryl Streep, Obama, and Jim Carrey; the second floor also features all of old Hollywood’s stars: Marilyn Monroe, Judy Garland, John Wayne, esteemed directors: Alfred Hitchcock, Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino, and even actors portraying characters from popular films of that era: Hannibal Lector (Anthony Hopkins) locked in his cell, Danny (John Travolta) next to his red-hot rod, and Edward Scissorhands (Johnny Depp). After you tour through Old Hollywood, you arrive at the last floor featuring all your favorite stars from the 90’s: Britney Spears, Tupac, Snoop Dog, Michael Jackson, Shakira, Beyoncé, Madonna, and so on. This section features the ultimate 90’s bedroom and would transport you back in time.

After your trip down memory lane, you will arrive the last feature in the museum, a Marvel theme wax exhibition, where you can check out a few Marvel cast members figures in full costume: Spiderman, Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), etc. Though it is not compulsory, you can also purchase the 4D Marvel Movie screening for an additional $5 for an immersive experience. The glasses the museum provides will allow you to see the 3D aspect of the film, and be prepared for sound effects, water, bubbles and even ropes to hit your feet. All of these elements make for an out of this world experience, the movie is 10 minutes long. Make sure to put any items you don’t want getting wet away! If you are not a fan of getting wet, I recommend sitting father back. Stop by the gift shop on your way out and grab a cup, key chain, or shirt to remember your visit to Madame Tussauds Hollywood.

In addition to offering a fun and safe day out of the house, you are also able to learn about the process of making a wax figure, see examples of the process, and in pre-Covid times purchase your own wax mold of your hand. It takes about 800 hours to create a wax figure, beginning with the detailed measurement of the model from the circumference of your head to the width of your ankle. Every measurement is specific to ensure the wax figure looks as accurate as possible. After the measurements are taken, workers begin sculpting, painting, designing, making the costumes and finally dressing and staging the wax figures. This is no easy task and while some figures are more life-like and realistic than others, they are all impressive. It really makes you question who in the room was real and who was a wax figure! The detail in every figure is astonishing, from freckles, scars, tattoos, and hair. It feels as if you are really meeting and interacting with these stars rather than standing next to a wax figure.

Of his new single, Noah explains, “‘False Confidence’ is a song I wrote when I felt like I was trying too hard to be what I thought an artist should be, instead of who I was. I felt like I was losing my identity in trying to reach for some unattainable picture of a successful person; confident, polished, secure. I wrote ‘False Confidence’ to remember not to take myself so seriously.”

Growing up in Strafford, VT (pop. 1045), small town wonderment led Noah to explore songwriting early on, emulating musical influences like Paul Simon, Ben Howard and The Lumineers. Kahan writes with thought-provoking realism about self-doubt and fear, while highlighting the intricacies of relationships with an unpolished sincerity. That approach, along with his head-turning vocals, has brought Kahan a long way from Strafford in a very short amount of time. As a senior in high school, Noah’s songwriting attracted the attention of world-class songwriters Dan Wilson (Adele), Scott Harris (Shawn Mendes), Chris DeStefano (Carrie Underwood), among others. Word spread quickly within the songwriting community, and it wasn’t long after graduating high school that Kahan decided to defer his college acceptance to pursue a career in music, eventually straying from the 133-acre tree farm he grew up on to work with Lorde & Khalid’s producer Joel Little.
