Carrie Underwood × BODYARMOR LYTE Sports Drink

BODYARMOR LYTE Sports Drink announced a new equity partnership with 7-time Grammy Award-winning superstar, Carrie Underwood. Best known for relationships with top athletes including Naomi Osaka, Megan Rapinoe and Dustin Johnson, the fastest-growing sports drink brand has now added a world-class musical artist to its roster by welcoming Underwood and her expanding fitness and lifestyle portfolio to the BODYARMOR team.

The decision to team up with Underwood was strategic in nature, as the brand comes off an unprecedented milestone year. An extension of BODYARMOR Sports Drink, BODYARMOR LYTE offers a low calorie, no sugar added premium sports drink option with potassium-packed electrolytes, antioxidants and coconut water. The brand knows that consumers, beyond athletes, are looking for better-for-you options when it comes to sports drinks, as health and wellness trends continue to rise. And if you know anything about Carrie Underwood, you know that the better-for-you mindset matters to her, too.

As an entrepreneur, Underwood will celebrate the 6th anniversary this year as founder and lead
designer of her fitness and lifestyle brand, CALIA by Carrie Underwood, which is the second-highest
selling women’s brand within Dick’s Sporting Goods. In 2020, she continued to turn her passion for
health and wellness into a growing business empire with the launch of her fitness app, fit52, and
publication of her New York Times bestselling book, FIND YOUR PATH: Honor Your Body, Fuel Your
Soul, and Get Strong with the Fit52 Life, in which she shares her belief that fitness is a lifelong
journey, providing a common-sense approach to staying active, eating well, and looking as beautiful
as you feel, 52 weeks a year. Her partnership with BODYARMOR LYTE, aligns perfectly with her
personal mission to ensure that health and wellness is at the forefront of everything she does.

“Partnering with BODYARMOR LYTE was a natural evolution for me, from a personal and
professional standpoint,” said Underwood. “I’m a firm believer that what you put into your body
matters, so the fact BODYARMOR LYTE is made with no artificial flavors, sweeteners and no colors
from artificial sources, is important to me. BODYARMOR LYTE has everything that my body needs
to recharge and keep me hydrated throughout my day and everything I do. While music will always
be my first love and priority, I’m so fortunate to have been able to build my passion for health and
fitness into a business model and personal brand I can stand behind and be proud of. This
partnership is an important next step for me and the community I am building, which goes far
beyond endorsing a brand.”

To kick off the partnership, Underwood stars in a national television campaign, another first for the BODYARMOR LYTE brand. Underwood will also appear in advertising for BODYARMOR SportWater, a premium water with a performance pH9+. In the BODYARMOR LYTE campaign, Underwood is positioned alongside basketball superstar and veteran brand partner, James Harden. The spot can be viewed in full here: https://youtu.be/ePqew7J4Euk

“BODYARMOR Sports Drink continues to resonate with consumers who are looking for healthier hydration,” said Mike Repole, Co-Founder and Chairman, BODYARMOR. “Carrie Underwood is an incredible artist and entrepreneur and hydration plays an important role in her daily lifestyle, which is why BODYARMOR LYTE works so well for her. We couldn’t be more excited to have Carrie as part of the team to help us continue to build BODYARMOR’s awareness and momentum.”

Consumer demand for a better-for-you sports drink has made BODYARMOR the number three sports drink in the U.S. and it has been the hydration option of choice for many professional athletes and millions of high school and college athletes since its launch in 2011.

Noah Kahan “False Confidence” and Tour Dates

Today, global singer/songwriter sensation Noah Kahan unveils his latest single, “False Confidence,”—listen and share HERE. “False Confidence” sets the stage for further music to be released by Kahan this fall.

Noah Kahan’s first-ever North American, European and UK headlining tour kicks off next month on October 3rd in Atlanta at Vinyl. Shows are quickly selling out, including dates in New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, Washington, DC, Toronto, Denver and more. See the full list of tour dates below. Tickets are available now at www.NoahKahan.com/tour.

Of his new single, Noah explains, “‘False Confidence’ is a song I wrote when I felt like I was trying too hard to be what I thought an artist should be, instead of who I was. I felt like I was losing my identity in trying to reach for some unattainable picture of a successful person; confident, polished, secure. I wrote ‘False Confidence’ to remember not to take myself so seriously.”

“False Confidence” arrives hot on the heels of his 2018 global smash, “Hurt Somebody” feat. Grammy-nominated Julia Michaels.

Growing up in Strafford, VT (pop. 1045), small town wonderment led Noah to explore songwriting early on, emulating musical influences like Paul Simon, Ben Howard and The Lumineers. Kahan writes with thought-provoking realism about self-doubt and fear, while highlighting the intricacies of relationships with an unpolished sincerity. That approach, along with his head-turning vocals, has brought Kahan a long way from Strafford in a very short amount of time. As a senior in high school, Noah’s songwriting attracted the attention of world-class songwriters Dan Wilson (Adele), Scott Harris (Shawn Mendes), Chris DeStefano (Carrie Underwood), among others. Word spread quickly within the songwriting community, and it wasn’t long after graduating high school that Kahan decided to defer his college acceptance to pursue a career in music, eventually straying from the 133-acre tree farm he grew up on to work with Lorde & Khalid’s producer Joel Little. The two recorded six songs together, including Noah’s debut single, “Young Blood,” which entered Spotify’s US Viral Chart at #5 and has cracked over 20 million streams to date.

Noah followed this with his global smash, “Hurt Somebody” feat. Grammy-nominated Julia Michaels. Available on his 2018 debut EP, Hurt Somebody, the song charted at #1 on Australian national radio for three weeks, while also charting in the Top 40 at Hot AC stateside. “Hurt Somebody”’s total streams are over the 120 million-mark, and it is certified double platinum in Australia and gold in Canada, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, Switzerland and New Zealand. Kahan made his late-night U.S. television debut performing “Hurt Somebody” on Late Night With Stephen Colbert earlier this year. As “Hurt Somebody” became an international hit, Kahan sold out venues on a headlining tour across the UK, Europe and Australia, as well as supported George Ezra and LP on their spring North American tours. Noah returns with “False Confidence” as he gears up to release more new music this fall.

SOUTHERN HALO

Southern Halo is comprised of three young ladies who hail from Cleveland, Mississippi. Endorsed by Gibson Guitars, the multitalented Morris sisters can all sing, play instruments and write most of their songs. Their latest country album, JUST LIKE IN THE MOVIES, showcases their passion for life and all things in between. Natalia (guitar), Christina (drums) and Hannah (bass) have been influenced by artists like Avril Lavigne, Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake. With powerful harmonies, top-notch production and instrumentation, this trio is nearly unstoppable. Many of their songs contain strong lyrical content which is extremely current in today’s march for gender equality. One of our favorite tracks is “I Think Too Much.” It’s an ode to second guessing your initial instincts in any given situation. Another anthemic track is “Anything Is Possible,” a motivational piece of art that’s about breaking glass ceilings in order to progress to the next level.

In short, Southern Halo is an intellectually sophisticated group of youthful women who know what they want and are determined to get it.
