NoonieVsEverybody – HOOD CHRONICLES

Cleveland-based rapper NoonieVsEverybody follows up his debut single with a new track entitled “HOOD CHRONICLES”. It marks the 18-year-old’s second released single of his forthcoming mixtape ‘STRICTLY 4 THE VOICELESS’ coming later this year. “HOOD CHRONICLES” dropped exclusively on YouTube on 2/16 which is a nod to his hometown area code in 216 in Cleveland.

“I come from the hood where u gotta strive for yo self and the ones you love. Everything happens in the hood. You get into the most shit there but you gotta love yo roots and the HOOD CHRONICLES,” said NoonieVsEverybody. Click HERE to listen and HERE to watch.

The story of “HOOD CHRONICLES” carries on the visceral themes of loyalty and exertion in urban Cleveland, Ohio. “Hood baby, I came out from poverty,” the 18-year-old rapper says. The city of Cleveland recapitulates the focal point of NoonieVsEverybody’s nobility and desire to get his family and friends out and away from the grittiness of urban city living. This is the same resoundful energy that will drive a series of forthcoming singles set to release on his 2022 debut mixtape. “HOOD CHRONICLES” is more than rap, it’s a story.

As a point of convergence, NoonieVsEverybody extends beyond his pen and paper in order to divulge into the hardships of everything he goes through while growing up in Cleveland, Ohio. Sticking to the tantamount style of ardent and emotional lyrics, “Hood Chronicles” sets the stage in conscientious detail in order to ally fans and listeners who go through similar situations. This second iteration from the upcoming Cleveland rapper provides harmonizing refuge straight from the heart in hopes to spread a strong and honest message to the hip-hop community.

NoonieVsEverybody will be prepping more music for release later this year along with a documentary series that gives fans an in-depth look at his life.

About NoonieVsEverybody

The toughest cities mold the toughest champions. NoonieVsEverybody, based in Cleveland, OH, had to learn to grow up fast in a city historically known to be a rough place to be a kid. The hardships throughout NoonieVsEverybody’s younger years activated an intense will inside the 17-year-old rapper to not let anything stop him from achieving his dreams or taking care of his family. His mom worked hard as a home health aid to take care of him, acting as his “mother and father.” She also introduced him to classic hip-hop, and he developed a passion for everyone from Tupac and Jadakiss to Waka Flocka Flame and Gucci Mane. Between regular suspensions from elementary school, he channeled his troubles into raps, filling up small notebooks with songs and ideas as a kid during class, detention, and lunchtime. That same indomitable spirit drives a series of 2021 singles and his forthcoming debut mixtape. A freestyle on Instagram caught the attention of LVRN. He made his official introduction with an appearance on the “LVRN Cypher” Spotify single alongside big-name heavyweights such as 6LACK, Westside Boogie, BRS Kash, and OMB Bloodbath. In the end, NoonieVsEverybody’s words will resound in his hometown and far beyond.

Tennessee Music Pathways

From Nashville to Memphis to Bristol, Tennessee is known for its music significance and contributions across the world. From the music legends of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, and Dolly Parton to the young music stars of today such as Taylor Swift, Kelsea Ballerini, and Justin Timberlake, seven genres of music call Tennessee home–Country, Rock ‘N’ Roll, Blues, Bluegrass, Rockabilly, Soul, and Gospel. The state’s rich musical heritage offers a musical oasis for all generations through a broad array of events, locations and stories that are all made uniquely in Tennessee.

Tennessee Music Pathways: The Tennessee Music Pathways connects visitors to the people, places and events that made Tennessee the international music mecca it has become. Throughout the 95 counties of the state, you can see legendary artists’ hometowns, famous music venues, museums dedicated to sharing this rich music history in interactive ways and much more. You can also travel the Ken Burns Country Music Pathways featuring the locations spotlighted in Ken Burns’ documentary Country Music.

Tennessee Songwriters Week: Tennessee Songwriters Week (Feb. 20-26, 2022) supports music venues, generates awareness of songwriters’ contributions to Tennessee, paves the way for future artists and inspires travelers to experience the state’s music stories, history, attractions and venues.

Explore the Historical Sites

The Birthplace of Country Music Museum: It was in 1927 in Northeast Tennessee where Ralph Peer conducted recording in which country music foundation artists, the Carter Family and Jimmy Rodgers, were discovered. Johnny Cash would go on to say these sessions were “the single most important event in the history of country music,” and now guests can learn about these sessions and the story at The Birthplace of Country Music Museum in Bristol. Visit Bristol in September to attend the award-winning Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion where the roots of traditional Appalachian music are brought to life through talented musicians.

Ryman Auditorium: Head to Nashville to walk on the hallowed ground of the Ryman Auditorium as you tour this historical icon. The Mother Church was the original site of the Grand Ole Opry, “the show that made country music famous.” It is a culture engine for Nashville and continues to bring music and fans together for over 128 years through concerts and behind-the-scenes tours.

Graceland: Second only to the White House, Graceland is the most-visited residence in the country. Purchased by Elvis Presley in 1957, it was his home until his death 20 years later. In 1982, it opened to the public and more than 20 million people have visited since. In 2017, it expanded to include Elvis Presley’s Memphis, a 200,000-square-foot-square exhibition space, museum and automobile collection, all in Memphis, Tennessee.

Feel the Sounds

The Caverns: They say bluegrass is mountain music, but sometimes you need to go down below. Descend more than 300 feet underground to a stone amphitheater in The Caverns, situated at the base of Monteagle Mountain near Pelham, where Bluegrass Underground has hosted countless music greats. Visitors to the Volunteer state will not want to miss the chance to get down in such an unforgettable place.

Bluebird Café: If you’re looking for the next Garth Brooks, take in a show at The Bluebird Café, a singer-songwriter haven in Nashville. The tiny venue always sells out, regardless who’s playing, so get tickets in advance or come early to wait in line to make sure you get a seat to one of the hottest writers’ rounds in Nashville. Afterwards, head to the Broadway Historic District: Honky Tonk Highway where visitors can hop around to the numerous famous bars where many music legends first got their start such as Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge where Kris Kristofferson, Patsy Cline and Waylon Jennings were all regular customers. Every year in June mark your calendars for CMA Music Festival where country music biggest, brightest and upcoming stars takeover downtown Nashville.

Beale Street Historic District: Declared by an act of Congress as “Home of Blues,” Beale Street in Memphis is a historic center for jazz, blues and rock enthusiasts. Here, relive some of the musical greats such as B.B. King and Louis Armstrong while exploring more than 25 bars, cubs and restaurants that line the district. Plan a trip this April 29- May 1 for the popular Beale Street Music Festival where the 2022 lineup is filled with some of the hottest stars including Foo Fighters, Van Morrison, Weezer, and many more.

Boston Manor relished their return to live music in 2021, delivering incendiary sets at the landmark Download Pilot, Reading & Leeds, and Slam Dunk Festivals. They also made it back out to North America as main support to Neck Deep with a setlist for both new and old fans alike.

Along with their headline North American 2022 tour, Boston Manor is also set to headline the UK in February at some of their biggest shows to date and this summer will see the band return to Download Festival, as well as playing Rock Am Ring, Graspop, and more.

The original version of “Algorithm” features on Boston Manor’s Desperate Times, Desperate Pleasures EP which was released in October 2021 via SharpTone Records. The EP is now available on 10″ vinyl, following its digital and cassette tape formats.

Desperate Times, Desperate Pleasures marks a concerted step into the future for Boston Manor. It’s the coining of a bold, bright new sound, building upon the bruising pop-punk of their earlier work and the big moves of their last album GLUE, to compose music that’s both heavier and more unabashedly accessible than that which preceded it. Hook-laden, coherent, blackly witty, and with a molten emotional core, it’s the opening of a new chapter, hinting at even greater brilliance to follow. This latest collection sees Boston Manor tapping into teen influences of the late 90s—The Cardigans, the Cranberries, later-era Depeche Mode. They recorded their new material at Stu Stu Studio in Brixton with Larry Hibbitt.

Interview with Clubhouse

By: Skyler Johnson

Indie pop outfit Clubhouse (Forrest Taylor, Ari Blumer, Zak Blumer, Forrest Taylor, Michael Berthold) recently released Are We Going Too Slow, featuring the song: “Home Videos.” 360 Magazine interviewed the band about their music, fame, and their midwestern upbringings.

You all have been friends for a very long time? How did you meet? What are some of the most important memories you have together outside of the band?

[Max] I met Zak and Ari when we were in middle school, and we started playing together doing covers mostly. We started writing originals and taking things more seriously when we went to college, where we met Mike and Forrest. Some of our favorite memories together are from this big party we have every year for the holidays. All of our families get together to have the most ridiculous white elephant gift exchange.

What, as a band, are you most proud of having accomplished?

[Forrest] We’re really proud of this new EP. It’s the first true body of work we’ve done and we’re so excited to share it with everyone!

What would you say are the core things that inspire and drive the band?

[Zak] I think the biggest thing is that we’re constantly bouncing ideas off each other in the studio. We all co-write and produce, so being able to explore with everyone’s different styles is what drives the creative inspiration.

What was the inspiration behind the name Clubhouse?

[Ari] When we were younger, there was this separate little office/studio space in my backyard. In high school we hung out there all the time, so when we were thinking of a name, ‘Clubhouse’ just kind of felt right.

What are your favorite memories of being from the Midwest? What do you think the Midwest should be proud of/known for?

[Mike] I’m from Cleveland so some of my favorite Midwest memories are getting together with friends and family in the fall to watch the Browns! My favorite part about the Midwest is that time of year, with the leaves changing color and the temperature getting a little cooler.

What is the best fan interaction you’ve had?

[Max] We had a fan reach out to us a while ago asking me to write out a lyric from The Weeknd in my handwriting and send it to her so she could get it tattooed on her!

What would you like to accomplish as a band? Are there any awards you’d like to win or a venue you’d love to play at?

[Mike] A venue I’ve always wanted to play at is Red Rocks. That would be so incredible!

How has the band adjusted or repositioned while dealing with Max Reichert’s cancer diagnosis? How has it made you closer or strong?

[Zak] Going through something like that together was the hardest thing imaginable. But through all of that I think we really found ourselves. We stopped caring so much about how we were going to define our music and just started creating for fun again. We bonded for life going through that.

What are you the most proud of when you look back at the creation of Are We Going Too Slow?

[Forrest] We were really able to bring in all of the different sounds and styles we love on this project. We didn’t force ourselves into any box, just made the music we love.

Complex states, “We’re used to hearing Herb be vulnerable on tracks, his album PTSD attests to this, but 25 finds the Chicago Drill pioneer in some of his most honest moments.”

G Herbo‘s recently released the visual for “Stand the Rain (Mad Max).” The Oz On The Track and Chase Davis-produced clip shows G Herbo gracing the fictitious cover of Forbes magazine’s “30 under 30 edition” while rapping over a hard-hitting beat boasting about “not reaching his goals but still sh*ttin’ on his peers.” The sentiment rings true as G Herbo is a force to be reckoned with as 25 has already garnered over 182 million streams.

About G Herbo

After quietly grinding for years out of his native Chicago, G Herbo established himself as not only a platinum-selling, chart-topping phenomenon but also as a staunch mental health advocate and proponent for change in the black community. Following a string of acclaimed projects, his critically celebrated third album PTSD bowed at #7 on the Billboard Top 200, received praise from Rolling Stone as “his most vulnerable album to date,” and yielded one of the most important songs of 2020, the platinum-certified title track “PTSD” [feat. Juice WRLD, Lil Uzi Vert, & Chance the Rapper]. His fourth full-length offering, 25, soared to the Top 5 of the Billboard Top 200, marking his second consecutive Top 10 and highest debut to date. Racking up hundreds of millions of streams right out of the gate, Pitchfork attested, “As Chicago’s G Herbo has gotten older, his music has become more urgent.” Simultaneously, he appeared on multiple #1 albums such as Pop Smoke’s Faith (“Run Down”) and The Kid LAROI’s F*CKLOVE3+: OVER YOU (“Don’t Leave Me”) as well as collaborating with Dave East and Harry Fraud. With a larger-than-life fanbase, G Herbo has shared the stage with everyone from Miley Cyrus to Marshmello. G Herbo remains a pillar of hip-hop and the culture.

Available now via Craft Recordings, the 23-track compilation was re-released on 2-LP and digital formats, featuring the Femmes’ biggest hits such as “Blister in the Sun,” “American Music,” and “Gone Daddy Gone,” plus live recordings of fan-favorites like “Add It Up,” and “Kiss Off,” alongside a trove of demos, B-sides, interstitial voice recordings, and rarities. NEEDTOBREATHE – SUNSHINE – INTO THE MYSTERY

GRAMMY® Award-nominated rock band NEEDTOBREATHE have released “Sunshine” the fourth track off their forthcoming studio album Into The Mystery. The song is available to stream and download starting today hereInto The Mystery is due for release on July 30 via Elektra Records and is available for pre-order now here. Limited edition merch offerings are available exclusively through NEEDTOBREATHE’s online store here.

Last week NEEDTOBREATHE delivered the television debut performance of Into The Mystery’s current single “I Wanna Remember” alongside seven-time GRAMMY® Award winner Carrie Underwood at the 2021 “CMT Music Awards.” Watch their unforgettable performance here. Crowned as one of the most show-stopping moments of the evening by both US Weekly and Entertainment TonightBillboard shared “Bear Rinehart and Underwood’s vocals intertwining like leather and lace,” and praised, “the love song about wanting to remember an especially romantic moment felt particularly poignant as we head into a summer where new memories will be made after putting dreams on hold for more than a year.”

Into The Mystery was announced last month alongside the release of the album’s lead single and title track. Earlier this month, the band unveiled the album’s opening track “What I’m Here ForInto The Mystery’s early songs have received praise from Rolling Stone, Billboard, People, American Songwriter, and more. The album will also feature collaborations with Jon Foreman of Switchfoot and Natalie Hemby of The Highwomen.

This Fall, NEEDTOBREATHE will embark on their massive Into The Mystery Tour with support from Switchfoot and The New Respects. The 38-city trek will visit iconic venues such as Denver, CO’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre (fifth consecutive sold out appearance) and Los Angeles, CA’s Greek Theatre, and see the band perform their first-ever headline show at Nashville, TN’s Bridgestone Arena. The Into The Mystery Tour will kick off on September 7 in St. Louis, MO, and wrap on October 30 in Atlanta, GA. Tickets for all dates are available now here.

Just as their critically acclaimed 2020 album Out of Body impacted audiences, NEEDTOBREATHE capitalized on a rush of inspiration and rode the wave of creativity. Without telling a soul, the band decamped to a historic house-turned-recording studio in Columbia, TN to begin working on new music. Over the course of three weeks, they resided under one roof, laughed during meals, explored their surroundings, and recorded together with co-producer and engineer Konrad Snyder and special guests. Out of this de facto creative hub and “extended summer camp,” they handcrafted an album reflective of the moment, yet independent of all expectations, even their own. For as intimate as the story may seem, they filmed every minute of it for an upcoming documentary entitled, Into The Mystery. Watch a teaser for the film here.

The past 12 months represent one of the most prolific periods in the band’s career thus far. They recently unveiled Live from the Woods Vol. 2, a live album recorded during three sold out, socially distanced outdoor concerts at Pelham, TN’s famed The Caverns. The band previewed the album with a performance of “Alive” on CBS’s The Late Late Show with James Corden. Meanwhile, Out of Body debuted in the top 5 across three Billboard charts, and received critical acclaim from Billboard, Spin, Southern Living, American Songwriter, Taste of Country, and more.

About NEEDTOBREATHE:

Since 1998, NEEDTOBREATHE have quietly emerged as a dynamic force in rock music, topping the charts, selling out historic venues, and generating hundreds of millions of streams to date. The band has gathered one platinum single, four gold singles, and a gold album. Along the way, “Multiplied” notched their first GRAMMY® nomination. Simultaneously, they performed to sold out crowds at arenas and amphitheaters coast to coast. In addition to garnering two nods at the Billboard Music Awards, they’ve attracted acclaim from People, Rolling Stone, Forbes, and many more. In 2020, they sowed the seeds for rebirth with Out of Body. It bowed in the Top 5 of three Billboard charts and reeled in acclaim. Within weeks of its release, the quintet, Bear Rinehart [vocals, guitar], Seth Bolt [bass, vocals], Josh Lovelace [keys, vocals], Randall Harris [drums], and Tyler Burkum [guitar], stole away to an old historic house in Columbia, TN where they lived together, ate together, laughed together, and recorded together for three weeks in the fall of 2020. They returned home with their eighth album and documentary Into The Mystery [Elektra Records]. It’s the kind of record that could only be made by a band who has been through it all and still has enough faith to keep encouraging one another. It’s NEEDTOBREATHE.

Coheed and Cambria X The Used Announce Tour

Special guests Meet Me @ The Altar and carolesdaughter will join the co-headlining tour on select dates.

Tickets on sale starting Friday, June 18 at LiveNation.com

Celebrated American rock bands Coheed and Cambria and The Used today announced their upcoming summer outdoor co-headlining amphitheater tour. The 18-city U.S. tour, produced by Live Nation, will begin on Friday, Aug 27 in Irvine, CA and make stops in Phoenix, Dallas, Cleveland, New Jersey, Worcester, and more. The late summer journey will feature special guests Meet Me @ The Altar and carolesdaughter on select dates, and will culminate with a performance at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL on Sept 24.

Most tickets for the tour will go on sale to the general public beginning this Friday, June 18th at 10AM local time at LiveNation.com. A full listing of dates can be found below along with additional information on both CoheedAndCambria.com and TheUsed.net

It’s been over two years since Coheed and Cambria’s 2018 album, Vaxis I: The Unheavenly Creatures, was released as the band’s “return to concept” album. After stepping away with a more introspective album in 2015, frontman Claudio Sanchez and the band returned to the sci-fi universe of The Amory Wars in what was said to be the first of a 5-part series of albums. With 2021 upon us, and a major summer tour now announced, the volume of fans’ chatter for Vaxis 2 and what that will entail are loading up the band’s social media pages.

Coheed and Cambria is a rare band whose music can transcend scenes and effortlessly cross genres of rock – from indie to progressive, to metal and pop-punk to classic rock. The band is frequently compared to progressive, operatic rock bands of the ‘70s, ala Queen, Supertramp, or Rush due to their thrilling concept albums which take you on a grand journey of sounds and often clock-in around 110 mins, but still somehow include sugary pop-laden hooks.

The group’s following has grown steadily every album, partly due to their ferocious live show that brings fans to their knees with an equally expansive light show. This summer, the band will be performing songs from their expansive catalog, and we can only imagine they’ll pull a few new tricks up their sleeves.

Both bands began their careers 20 years ago this year and last toured together in 2003.

Painful and perverse, intimate, and obnoxious, aggressively heavy and irresistibly catchy, confusingly profound and primitively pedestrian – The Used transforms songs into anthems. The reckless honesty and unrelenting dedication that saw The Used kick down doors at radio and MTV, for a generation of disenfranchised post-hardcore provocateurs, persists today. It is newly remade with a sly shimmer that never sacrifices the band’s enchanting anarchy or restless soul.

Heartwork, the band’s eighth studio album (2020), arrives with the unbound spirit of the pair of platinum albums that first introduced The Used to the world, mixed with the dramatic flair of their gold-certified third. The emotion, sincerity, and vulnerability found on The Used (2002) and In Love and Death (2004) are more urgent and insistent than ever on Heartwork, a diverse 16-song offering filled with double entendre upon triple entendre. It traverses a thematic gamut of self-examination, hyper-literate exploration, political pyromania, and keenly self-aware yet unrestrained whimsy.

Coheed and Cambria and The Used will be making the following appearances across the U.S. this August and September.
