Black Badge family defines taste of a younger generation
¤6.75-litre V12 engine now delivers increased power (600BHP) and (664 ft-lb) torque
¤Drivetrain and chassis re-engineered for enhanced dynamic performance
¤Infinity symbol continues to signify noir expression of Rolls-Royce
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars unveiled the latest member of the Black Badge permanent Bespoke Family, Black Badge Cullinan. Introduced in March of 2016 to tremendous reception, today one-in-five Rolls-Royce commissions is done as Black Badge with a darker image that defines the taste of a younger generation of luxury consumer., Cullinan remains the most popular Rolls-Royce with clients waiting for months for Bespoke commission. Now it is time for Black Badge Cullinan to conquer new frontiers.
“Black Badge reflects the desires of a distinct group of Rolls-Royce clients: men and women who take risks, break rules and build success on their own terms. The time has come for Rolls-Royce’s boldest and darkest expression of Black Badge yet. The King of the Night, Black Badge Cullinan,” said Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
This Rolls-Royce alter ego is marked with the mathematical symbol representing a potential infinity placed discreetly throughout the motor car. This marking was first applied to Sir Malcolm Campbell’s record-breaking Rolls-Royce-powered Blue Bird K3 hydroplane.
Black Badge Cullinan Exterior: The King of the Night
Multiple layers of paint and lacquer are meticulously applied and hand-polished polished for up to five hours, representing the most comprehensive surface finish process ever applied to a solid paint color. The depth and intensity of Black Badge Cullinan’s finish serves as the perfect canvas for a contrasting Coachline.
The darkened Spirit of Ecstasy mascot is presented in high gloss black chrome and the iconic Rolls-Royce badges invert to become silver-on-black. Chrome surfaces such as the front grille surround, side frame finishers, boot handle, boot trim, lower air inlet finisher and exhaust pipes are darkened and the vertical grille bars remain polished, reflecting the blackened surfaces that surround them.
Black Badge Cullinan wears all-new 22-inch forged alloy wheels, reserved exclusively for Black Badge Cullinan. The 22-wheels accompanied by another first for Rolls-Royce with the marque’s first ever colored brake caliper. The high gloss Red paint offsets the new dark wheels.
Black Badge Cullinan Interior: Superlative comfort. Audacious design
Collaboration between designers, engineers and craftspeople saw the creation of a luxury carbon-fiber finish developed to create repeating geometrical shapes in a three-dimensional effect. Each leaf of Technical Fiber is finished with six coats of lacquer before being left to cure for 72 hours then hand-polished to Rolls-Royce’s hallmark mirror finish.
Starlight Headliner has joined Rolls-Royce iconography alongside the Spirit of Ecstasy and Pantheon Grille and makes its Cullinan debut on Black Badge Cullinan. Crafted in Black leather with 1344 individual fiber optic cables, the new Bespoke Starlight Headliner incorporates a new shooting star feature with eight brilliant white shooting stars.
Color and Trim designers created a bold new leather color, Forge Yellow, to offer as part of the brand’s curated collection. The new colors can also be commissioned for the Bespoke Viewing Suite or incorporated into the Recreation Module tailored to any client’s specification.
Black Badge Cullinan Engineering. The Architecture of Luxury’s dark side
Black Badge is far more than an aesthetic treatment. Key to the thrill of Black Badge Cullinan is the Architecture of Luxury, Rolls-Royce’s proprietary all-aluminum architecture. The sub-structure delivers extraordinary body stiffness and is fitted with all-wheel drive and four-wheel steering.
Like all Black Badge family members Black Badge Cullinan is enhanced to generate an extra 29bhp for a total of 600bhp and an additional 37 ft-lb (50NM) for a total 664 ft-lb (900NM) torque. Pressing the ‘Low’ button on the gear shift unlocks Black Badge Cullinan’s full suite of technologies including the new Black Badge audible exhaust, creating a deep rumble of the 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V12. As the Rolls-Royce of SUV’s, Black Badge moves Cullinan to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds.
Black Badge Cullinan features Rolls-Royce’s ‘Intuitive Throttle’ for a more aggressive shift pattern for the ZF 8-speed transmission. Both front and rear steered axles work collaboratively to adjust the levels of engagement depending on throttle and steering inputs. Changes to suspension components and settings add to the suite of dynamic technologies that ensure balanced dynamic and refined ride. And of course, Black Badge Cullinan features a raised braking bite point and decreased pedal travel. Redesigned brake discs also allow consistency in these changes while braking at elevated temperatures.
Black Badge Cullinan is now available to commission.
Should I buy a diesel truck? If you’re asking this, you’re probably unable to make up your mind. Read below for 5 convincing reasons to buy a diesel engine.
Should I buy a diesel truck?
Buying a new truck is a big investment. Should you get a diesel or a gas truck? You’ll find people that are in both camps and depending on what you need to do with it, one might work better than the other for you.
Continue reading this article to learn convincing reasons why you should go with diesel.
1. Bring the Power
If you’re looking for maximum power then a diesel is where it’s at. When you’re driving a diesel truck, you’ll notice that it offers more torque than a gas engine.
Before buying, make sure to look at the torque as well as the horsepower, depending on what you’re going to be using the truck for. If you need to haul a lot of weight then you’re going to need a good amount of torque and that is what a diesel engine can give you.
2. Lower Fuel Costs
When you’re driving a diesel truck, you’re going to put out less money than if you’re driving a gas truck. While you might not see it while you’re fueling up at the pump, you’ll find that over time, you’ll notice that you are putting out less money for the same trips you took in gas engines.
3. Less Maintenance
When you’re reading through articles like this diesel truck battery resource, you’re likely to notice that you don’t have to do as much maintenance on your diesel engine as you do on a gas engine.
Most experts will tell you that diesel engines can go two to three times longer than gas engines before they need major maintenance work. You may put more money out on buying a diesel truck but you’re going to find out that you can save money because of less maintenance.
4. Great Used Value
If you like to get new vehicles and sell them without taking too much of a hit then a diesel is a good way to go. Since diesel engines can run for so long and hold their value pretty well, you can offer a good used value to potential buyers.
If you want to buy a diesel truck used, you’ll usually find that it is a good investment because it still has plenty of miles left in it.
5. Better Performance
While there used to be some serious drawbacks about having a diesel truck vs. a gas truck, those drawbacks are decreasing or gone altogether.
Remember the very noisy diesel engines you’d hear as a kid? Now take a listen to the diesel engines now. Not too bad, right?

Since its inception in 2013, the Jaguar F-Type has been responsible for revolutionizing the sports car industry. With it’s obnoxious exhaust and robust styling, this has come to be one of the most sensual vehicles in the chronicle of the automobile industry.
Reminiscent of an Aston Martin Vantage roadster, this vehicle is sleek and seductive. Caldera red exterior with scarlet red interior. The race-inspired seats cup your derrière with the same type of firmness which NFL players display once a teammate makes a touchdown. Everything along the dashboard is loaded and takes on a minimalist approach to decadence. Contrast stitching intertwined with ambient cabin lighting pushes the driver’s vision. You literally feel like you’re in the cockpit of a fighter jet. LED designer head and tail lamps add a touch of menace to the overall skeleton. 20″ inch wheels on this vehicle’s small frame screams Matchbox hot rod. The infamous R package is badged on the front, sides and back. The skirt, ground effects and active spoiler (which deploys at 70mph) give it an aggressive stance.
The F Type 10″ infotainment screen is bright and easy to use. With Bluetooth and navigation capabilities, permits the driver to feel even more linked up. 380 watt Meridian stereo system provides a premium sound which mimics an Arclight movie theater experience. Retractable vents on the instrument panel go flush once AC/heating is turned off. The climate control package comes with heated/cooled seats, heated steering wheel and windshield. For 2020, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and front parking sensors are now standard on this manikin.
With adequate sensors for the driver, lane departure and cruise control keep the vehicle tucked in between the lines of road every bit well as ample space away from vehicles while on extended road trips.
Behind the wheel of this enthusiast’s ride is a dream come true. The sports seats are outstanding for long distances. The 3.0L supercharged V6 AWD vehicle delivers 380hp and 339lb-ft torque. Agile, responsive and brawny are the best adjectives to describe the overall handling and Powertrain. The steering is accurate and nicely weighted. Of course, the torque vectoring and braking is on par with many of its competitors but nothing to boast about. Let’s face it, if you are seeking a rambunctious roller coaster ride, you may desire to blast out another 50,000 USD for the SVR. And, if you’re in the mood for a manual transmission, then this may not be the sleigh ride for you as it’s no longer offered on this crop.
In short, if you’re in the marketplace for a sybaritic yet sassy vixen that’s just under a 100,000 USD – then this is the car for you. Strong curb appeal, decent gas mileage (mpg: 23 city/30 highway) apace with enough amenities to keep a ‘gadget head’ feigning. The 2020 Jaguar F-Typer R-Dynamic is the benchmark for come-hither coupes, especially with all-wheel drive.

“The Inoculated Canaries are a four-piece rock outfit from New York City with influences they describe as including Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, The Black Keys and Pink Floyd. That Whitman’s Sampler of artists is certainly on prominent parade in the group’s straight up, grass-fed approach to the rock-n-roll realm’s thumping beats and six-string gymnastics.”- ON THE BACK EDGE OF THE BEAT
Eclectic, boundary defying, and never lacking in sarcastic remarks, The Inoculated Canaries (in.oc.u.lat.ed ca.nar.ies) are a rock and roll force to be reckoned with. Hailing from New York, the “four guys who can’t dance” are striving to leave their musical legacy; inspired by artists such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, and Nirvana, The Inoculated Canaries are constantly pushing themselves to explore new, innovative sounds while making their presence known.
The unforgettable quartet is composed of Michael Rubin (guitar, vocals), James Terranova (drums), Dylan Gross (bass), and Brian Sweeney (keyboard). Coming from diverse backgrounds and varied musical influences, the band values creativity above all else; striving to combine familiar elements with the unexpected, The Inoculated Canaries attempt to make sense of individualism and humanity in the most honest way possible:
“We want to take those raw human emotions we all feel in the darkness of our minds and write songs about them. We’re not here to be rich or famous, we’re here to be great. To us, Greatness means making music that is real, and we are absolutely relentless about every single note. Greatness means learning from the best, but always being original. Greatness is sometimes having to stick up your middle finger to authority, convention and even the person in the mirror… Side-Effects may include crying, laughing, a sudden sense of existential dread, and/or hearing-loss.”
The rockers are immensely passionate about the music they share and the experience they create for fans. The band had the opportunity to open for The Mowglis in 2017 , COIN in 2019 and played ‘Cult of Personality’ live with Will Calhoun and Doug Wimbish of Living Colour. The Inoculated Canaries also worked directly with Matt Squire (producer of Panic! at the Disco, Ariana Grande, The Used, Taking Back Sunday, Demi Lovato and more). They have also worked with producer David Caggiano (who worked with Art Garfunkel).
The Inoculated Canaries’ first EP “The Blue Laws” was soon followed by their single “Don’t Be Late”, a live prog performance “The Fifth Song” and an acoustic version of their song “Jericho”. Their second EP “Trying Times” was also followed by singles “Count Me Out”, “Who Are You”, “The Lawyer’s Wife” and “Sneakers”.

The four-part docu-series is a collaboration from Academy Award® and Emmy® winner Morgan Neville (Won’t You Be My Neighbor, 20 Feet From Stardom), legendary music producer Rick Rubin and director Jeff Malmberg (Marwencol) and focuses on creative conversation and the emotional side of music-making.
The Book Of Traps & Lessons was crafted with Rubin and Carey over the course of the past five years. It follows Tempest’s previous releases, 2014’s Everybody Down and 2016’s Let Them Eat Chaos, both of which were shortlisted for Mercury Prize in 2014 and 2017, respectively. Last year, Kate Tempest was nominated at The BRIT Awards for Best Female Solo Performer.
A handful of words often tell you everything you need to know. When asked, who is Kate Tempest? She gives a brief, albeit telling answer. “Kate Tempest is the words,” she responds. You haven’t ever seen, heard, or experienced anyone quite like her. Tempest uncovers the missing link between the Golden Ages of literature and hip-hop. The London-born BRIT Award-nominated spoken word artist, rapper, poet, novelist, and playwright rhymes with a century-turning fury. Since her emergence in 2011, she has redefined what it means to be a wordsmith in the Modern Age. To date, she has published three poetry collections, staged three plays, and released two studio albums. Along the way, she entranced audiences on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, NPR’s “Tiny Desk,” and more. Not to mention, she garnered widespread critical acclaim from The New York Times, The New Yorker, Forbes, and more, to name a few. In the midst of this whirlwind journey, she performed a passage of her popular 75-minute narrative poem, Brand New Ancients, on Charlie Rose. Legendary producer and American Recordings Founder Rick Rubin caught the show, tracked down her phone number, and made a call. This set a series of events in motion that led to her 2019 debut album for American Recordings, The Book Of Traps & Lessons, out now.
