Culinary Bike Tour of Friuli

Friuli Venezia Giulia (often shortened to Friuli) is a northeastern Italian border region tucked between Slovenia and Austria where travelers will find the cultural and culinary imprints of all three countries. On Tourissimo’s NEW 7-day Chef Bike Tour of Friuli Venezia Giulia hosted by Chef Brooke Williamson and her husband Nick Roberts, guests will cycle from Tarvisio along the Tagliemento River Valley via the Alpe-Adria Bikeway, one of the first long-haul rail-to-trail projects in Europe. The rest of the biking will be on secondary country roads with many interesting and tasty stops. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Brooke Williamson has carved out an impressive resumé full of leading roles and professional achievement, such as being the youngest female chef to ever cook at the James Beard House, winning Bravo’s “Top Chef” Season 14 in Charleston, and most recently, being crowned the first winner of Food Network’s “Tournament of Champions” in spring 2020.

Jordan Ward via 360 Magazine.

Jordan Ward

On the heels of his buzzing debut album, FORWARD, R&B standout Jordan Ward unleashes the funk-influenced banger, “FAMJAM4000.” The song, named one of Rolling Stone’s “Songs You Need to Know,” evokes that classic 1970s R&B sound but adds a fresh contemporary feel courtesy of the track’s top-tier producers, Lido, Nascent, and Zach Ezzy. The carefree vibe translates to the song’s music video, featuring Jordan reveling in his Black boy joy in his hometown of St. Louis.

Keeping the momentum going, Jordan Ward also proudly announces his first headlining tour, The FORWARD Tour. The trek begins May 3 in Atlanta and includes shows in some of the biggest music markets, including Brooklyn, Chicago, Los Angeles and his native St. Louis. Fans will also have many more chances to catch Jordan on the road this spring. He’s currently supporting JID and Smino on their Luv Is 4Ever Tour, which wraps March 29. Days later, he’ll take the stage at the legendary Dreamville Festival in North Carolina (April 2) on an all-star lineup featuring J. Cole, Drake, Summer Walker, Burna Boy and more.

The new announcements cap a milestone week for Jordan Ward and FORWARD, which has earned widespread acclaim. Okayplayer celebrated the album’s “refreshing” sound and highlighted Jordan’s “knack for unique sounds is also showcased on this well-produced compilation,” while Vibe praised, “the newcomer asserts himself as a force to reckon with.” Billboard called the album cut “PRICETAG/BEVERLYWOOD” the “Freshest Find” of the week as the No. 1 most exciting track among the newest R&B and hip-hop releases.

FORWARD delivers on the promise that has made Jordan Ward one of the most encouraging and anticipated breakthrough acts of 2023. Drawing influences ranging from old-school funk, alternative rock and hip-hop, FORWARD sees Jordan Ward elevate and expand the genre and all its potential. Album highlights include the Joony collaboration “IDC,” hailed as an “utterly relatable funky anthem,” “WHITE CROCS,” with rising rapper and fellow St. Louis native Ryan Trey and the flirtatious “CHERIMOYA,” which Complex spotlighted and acclaimed, “Bringing words to life through music is a special talent, which is why you should be paying attention to Ward.” The 14-track album is executive produced by Lido, whose credits include collaborations with Ariana Grande, Mariah Carey, Chance the Rapper, Ella Mai, Halsey, Smino and more.

FORWARD, too, holds layers of significance for its creator. “FORWARD, not only pushing our sound and creativity, but pushing to evolve and break cycles” Jordan says of his album’s name. “FOR WARD, a dedication to my family and our future. FOUR-WARD, my fourth project, but also a FOREWORD in my story being the debut album!”

Cate Blanchett x Sparks via 360 MAGAZINE

Cate Blanchett x Sparks

“We met Cate Blanchett in Paris at the Awards last year”, say Ron and Russell Mael, “little knowing that a year later, one of the great actors of our time (and a splendid person!) would graciously consent to lending her bootie-shaking skills to the first video from our new album, The Girl Is Crying In Her Latte.” Dreams really do come true. “We will sleep well tonight knowing that forever we can say we co-starred in a film with Cate Blanchett

The Girl Is Crying In Her Latte marks Sparks’ first release on the venerable Island Records label in close to five decades, following such classics as 1974 landmark Kimono My House, highlighted of course by the indelible hit single, This Town Ain’t Big Enough For Both Of Us. Described by Ron and Russell Mael as a record that is “as bold and uncompromising as anything we did back then, or for that matter, anytime throughout our career.” The album includes such instantly intriguing new musical vignettes as Mona Lisa’s Packing, Leaving Late Tonight, and Nothing Is As Good As They Say It Is; songs which once again display Sparks’ seemingly ceaseless ability to craft complete, intricately detailed stories within perfect three-and-a-half minute pop earworms. Both characteristically timeless and unequivocally modern, The Girl Is Crying In Her Latte once again affirms that after more than a half-century making masterpieces, Sparks remain inimitable, ingenious, and as ever, utterly one of a kind.

Sparks will celebrate The Girl Is Crying In Her Latte and much more with an extensive world tour that sees the band playing some of the biggest venues of their incredible career, with highlights including a pair of sold-out headline shows at London’s historic Royal Albert Hall (May 29 and 30). The North American leg of Sparks Tour 2023 gets underway Tuesday, June 27 at New York City’s Beacon Theatre and then culminates with the biggest headline show of Sparks’ more than fifty-year career, taking place Sunday, July 16 at the world-famous Hollywood Bowl in their beloved hometown of Los Angeles, CA. Hollywood Bowl subscription packages are available now at www.hollywoodbowl.com. Create Your Own Packages go on sale Tuesday, March 14 at 10:00 am (PT). Sparks Fan Club presales begin Tuesday, April 25 at 10:00 am (PT). General on-sales follow on Tuesday, May 2 at 10:00 am (PT). For complete details and ticket information, please see allsparks.com/#tour.

Nnena returns with her new single “PMTWGR” featuring Ncognita & KT via Loud Robot/RCA Records. Heavy on soul grooves courtesy of producer Ben Oyortey Jr, the song is confident and fun, using witty rhymes to address that PMTWGR. In addition to releasing her latest single, it’s also been announced that she’s joining Rini’s “Past The Naked Eye” tour as an opener. The tour kicks off tomorrow, 11/30, and will hit cities such as Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, and more – buy tickets HERE.

  • Listen to “PMTWGR” HERE and watch the visualizer, directed by Deondrae Jones HERE.

Last year, Nnena showcased her range and versatility on her EP  …Just Cause. The four-track EP features Childish MajorDaVionne and WESTSIDE BOOGIE – the latter on the standout track “Come Again.” This new project follows the release of her debut EP Bipolar AF, the first release from the partnership between Loud Robot, the record label from JJ Abrams’ Bad Robot and RCA Records.

Additionally, Nnena was featured on Insecure: Music From The HBO Original Series, Season 5soundtrack with her memorable single “Fun,” which is currently the second highest streamed track on the album on Spotify. This week Nnena had her late night television debut performing the track on The Late Late Show with James Corden – watch it here

An incredible writer, lyricist, rapper and vocalist, bursting with effusive energy and a massive personality, the Cleveland native, born Nnena Adigwe to Nigerian parents, credits some of her robust, descriptive storytelling impulses to her past screenwriting experience. Nnena began writing comedic sketches during college and that soon led to working on more full-fledged projects—the kinds of works that needed sound tracking. Rather than pay licensing fees, she tried her hand at making her own music.  Her music reflects her eclectic influences ranging from Otis Redding to Millie Jackson, from Queen Latifah to Miriam Makeba to Kendrick Lamar and especially  “Lauryn Hill, she molded me the most,” along with other neo-soul genre artists Musiq Soulchild and Jill Scott, as well from Drake, J. Cole, to Tiwa Savage.

Nnena is currently working on her debut album; stay tuned for more music coming soon.

RENEÉ RAPP ANNOUNCES FIRST-EVER TOUR

RENEÉ RAPP ANNOUNCES FIRST-EVER HEADLINING TOUR KICKING OFF DECEMBER 6TH IN LOS ANGELES

  • EMOTIONAL DEBUT EP EVERYTHING TO EVERYONE OUT NOW – LISTEN HERE

Reneé Rapp announces first-ever headlining tour in support of debut EP, Everything to Everyone. Kicking off on December 6th in Los Angeles, this tour will be an opportunity for fans to experience the emotional project in an intimate setting that highlights Rapp’s raw vocal talent. Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, November 18th at 10 AM local time. More information can be found HERE.

EVERYTHING TO EVERYONE TOUR DATES:

December 6th   Los Angeles, CA   Troubadour

December 13th  New York, NY      Bowery Electric

December 15th  Boston, MA          Sonia’s

December 18th  Atlanta, GA          Vinyl

Today’s announcement arrives on the heels of Reneé’s debut EP Everything To Everyone, an emotional 7-track project which highlights her vocal prowess and versatility as she shifts from soaring emotional ballads to polished pop anthems. The stripped-back title track and EP opener explores Rapp’s desire to show up for the important people in her life. Next up is the multi-hyphenate’s breakout single “In the Kitchen,” which reflects on a doomed relationship, and a brand new track titled “Colorado” that expresses her desire to leave Los Angeles behind. It’s the kind of unfiltered anthem that made her most recent release, “Don’t Tell My Mom,” so gut-wrenching. On the track, Rapp details her tumultuous, tight knit relationship with her mother. Don’t tell my mom, I’m fallin’ apart,” she belts over minimal synths. “She hurts when I hurt, my scars are her scars.” The EP is rounded out by the songs “What Can I Do,” “Too Well,” and “Moon,” each of which showcases a slightly different shade of Rapp’s musical palate. It’s the kind of collection with a song for every mood or emotional state.

The EP follows the singles “Don’t Tell My Mom,” “In the Kitchen,” and “Tattoos,” which have amassed more than 22 million combined streams. Throughout her career, Rapp has displayed a knack for captivating audiences with vibrant performances and unbridled energy. Outside of music, she stars in the hit HBO Max series The Sex Lives of College Girls, which has its season 2 premiere next week. It’s a role that calls for brilliant comedic timing and dramatic prowess, both of which the newcomer has in spades. With Everything to Everyone, Rapp underlines the breadth and depth of her talent, veering from soaring ballads to uptempo pop anthems without missing a beat.

ABOUT RENEÉ RAPP:

Reneé Rapp knew she was born to perform ever since she was a child. Even in her earliest memories, her love of music was always present. “I couldn’t sit still in the car unless there was music,” she says. “Otherwise, I would cry the entire time.” The North Carolina native began harnessing her natural creativity by writing and recording songs when she was just a teenager. Eventually, her career took off when she landed the coveted role of Regina George in the Tony-nominated Mean Girls musical on Broadway. Shortly after, she found widespread recognition and praise—from the likes of W, Harper’s Bazaar, and The Hollywood Report for her performance as “Leighton” on the HBO Max series “The Sex Lives of College Girls” written by Mindy Kaling. Now, more empowered than ever, Rapp turns her attention back to music, where sharing threadbare insecurities on “Tattoos” is just the beginning. “I was called ‘crazy’ a lot growing up because I didn’t know what was going on with me,” she says. “As I got older and started going to therapy, I reclaimed the word in a way that feels good to me.” In this song and in the rest of her music to come Rapp leans into a uniquely bold showcase of vulnerability to connect with her ever-growing fandom. Eager to continue to share her emotions with the world, Reneé has much more music on the way under her recent signing to Interscope Records

GIGI – “FIGURINES”

GIGI’S NEW SINGLE, “FIGURINES,” IS OUT TODAY – LISTEN HERE

BROOKLYN BASED SINGER-SONGWRITER WRAPS UP TOUR WITH NOAH CYRUS AT THE WILTERN IN LOS ANGELES ON NOVEMBER 4

Breakout artist gigi gives a tour de force vocal performance on her new single, ”Figurines,” released today via Mogul Vision/Interscope Records. On the dreamy, self-penned track, which she recorded in Nashville, gigi examines mortality and the process of forging one’s own path. Mike Zara and Aidan Hobbs produced and play on “Figurines,” combining haunting keyboards with plaintive guitar and adding accordion and saxophone as the song builds to an emotional close. Listen to “Figurines” HERE. View the visualizer HERE.

“’Figurines’ is about the circle of life, fear of death, and the lengths people go to immortalize themselves. There are many areas of my life i can point in my early development that have influenced this sort of existential thorn i have. Your brain is a hard drive and you can never erase anything from it. Your experiences are with you always but you can work past them. Writing about my fears of mortality help me come to terms with it myself,” said gigi.

Born in New Jersey, raised in Florida and now based in Brooklyn, gigi is currently on her first national tour, providing direct support on Noah Cyrus’ North American run. The Hardest Part Tour, which stops at The Truman in Kansas City tonight, concludes on November 4 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. While many of the remaining shows are sold out, limited tickets are available HERE for some dates. See below for itinerary.

Check out this snippet of gigi performing “Sometimes (Backwood)” on the tour. After sharing the track on TikTok in 2021, she released the single independently. It racked up 18 million streams in the first six months and combined global streams now surpass 72 million. Hailing gigi as “one of Gen Z’s breakout artists,”  Medium tracked the song’s organic growth in this feature, and said, “[‘Sometimes (Backwood)’] is a torrent of raw emotion…Let’s see what gigi does next.”

“Figurines” is the latest in a remarkable string of follow-up singles from gigi that include “The Man,” “When She Smiles” and “Glue.” Depicting the life of a queer twenty-something with raw honesty and all-enveloping beauty, the songs showcase her blunt yet tender poetry amid windswept landscapes of acoustic guitars, swooping strings and delicate reverb.

Poppy's New STAGGER EP via 360 MAGAZINE

POPPY – STAGGER EP

GRAMMY® AWARD-NOMINATED POPPY TO RELEASE NEW STAGGER EP ON OCTOBER 14, 2022
Pre-Save Stagger EP HERE, Stream “FYB” HERE

After emerging as one of the most quietly disruptive forces in culture, GRAMMY® Award-nominated alternative insurgent Poppy will unleash her new Stagger EP on October 14, 2022. It notably marks her debut for LAVA Records/Republic Records.

She comes out of the gate swinging with the new single “FYB. Powered by a thrash-and-burn punk riff, a barrage of distortion grinds up against her insidiously melodic delivery. It cycles through a hypnotic hook as she repeats, “Fuck the world, it’ll just fuck you back. A fittingly captivating visual accompanies the track. In the clip, Poppy walks on a spinning animated globe under the glow of lively hand-drawn planets.

“FYB” stands out as something of a clarion call for the multi-faceted maverick as it sets the stage for a whole lot more to come this year and in 2023.

Stream “FYB” HERE & Watch the visual HERE

Next up, she supports The Smashing Pumpkins and Jane’s Addiction on one of the fall’s hottest alternative rock tours, beginning October 2nd through November 19th. She also joins the When We Were Young Festivals in Las Vegas, NV October 22-23 and October 29. Finally, she launches the Never Find My Place Headline Tour across the UK and Europe November 26ththrough December 21st.

The next era of Poppy is underway now. You have been warned.

ABOUT POPPY:
Poppy has no regard for convention, genres, labels, assumptions, or expectations. Instead, she eclipses all of them in the flames of an intensely uncompromising creative spirit with no rival. By burning everything down and building a vision of her own out of the ashes, she represents a future where high art and high fashion equal subversion of the highest order. Following a quiet grind, she reached critical mass with I Disagree. Beyond tallying 100 million-plus streams, it concluded 2020 on year-end lists by Upset [#1], Revolver, Popbuzz, Kerrang!, and more as she graced the covers of NME, Revolver, Upset, Kerrang!, and Tush. Standout “BLOODMONEY” even garnered a GRAMMY® nod for “Best Metal Performance, lifting her to rarified air as the “first-ever solo female artist nominated in the category. At the same time, she electrified the stage at the GRAMMY® Awards. Throughout 2021, Poppy only maintained her momentum with the EAT (NXT Soundtrack) EP, Flux, and So Mean EP. She steered the vision entirely—from the aesthetic to personally directing multiple videos. Infiltrating the mainstream, she has notably collaborated with Victor and Rolf on the Flowerbomb fragrance with L’Oreal and with KOI Footwear on two pairs of signature shoes. Casting a shadow over multiple forms of media, she has also penned two graphic novels, Genesis One and Poppy’s Inferno, and her short film I’m Poppy premiered at Sundance Film Festival during 2019.

As always, she only looks forward with the release of Stagger EP and the dawn of a new chapter unlike anything else you’ve heard, seen, or felt before. Poppy is here.

Seun Kuti × Egypt 80

Renowned Afrobeat Artist Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 Continues International “Love & Revolution” Tour This Fall with Performances Across Europe and the US

Kuti family scion Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 have been relentlessly touring the globe for the first time in years, with an ongoing US, UK, and European tour that has hit stops at major festivals like Glastonbury. The tour is currently booked through October 1 in the US, at the tenth annual Desert Daze in Moreno Valley, California, and through November 7 in Europe, at Villanos del Jazz in Madrid, Spain. Along the way, they have been performing classic anthems from their catalogue alongside new material from their upcoming album, like singles “Love and Revolution” and “Emi Aluta.” These two tracks were recorded live at Clout Studio, the legendary premises of Cool FM 96.9 on Victoria Island in Lagos and are out now.

The new Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 record will also include hip-hop versions of some songs from their 2018 Grammy®-nominated album Black Times, in collaboration with Black Thought, co-founder/MC of Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show house band The Roots. The lead single “Kuku Kee Me (Remix)” is an official soundtrack selection for FIFA 23 and will be available for purchase and streaming on September 23 (the animated music video will be released September 22). The track perfectly marries the two artists’ unique but global perspectives, combing funky beats and blistering verses to share the message of “people power” in the world today. They last worked with Black Thought on Common’s single “When We Move,” which debuted worldwide for UN World Oceans Day before a performance on The Tonight Show, with footage of Seun at The New Afrika Shrine in Lagos intercut with Common, Black Thought, and The Roots live on-stage in New York.

The youngest son of visionary Fela Kuti, Seun has continued the family tradition of fusing music and politics into something transcendent. He started opening for his dad at age nine, joined Egypt 80 before he was twelve, and assumed leadership of the band following his father’s passing in 1997. Seun performs his father’s seminal compositions with his own twists, digging deep into African tradition and culture. Like his parents and grandparents, Seun is a revolutionary activist on the frontlines who has been named Pro-Tem Chairman of Movement of the People, the political party launched by his father. With his weekly radio show, his mythical gigs, and a righteous social media presence, Seun is a towering figure in Nigeria and revered worldwide. His mission is vast: “Inspire Africa to be what it is supposed to be.”

In 2011, Seun Kuti & Egypt 80’s live record From Africa with Fury: Rise, co-produced by Brian Eno and John Reynolds, landed on both Billboard and digital international charts. The album was their first Knitting Factory Records before joining Knitting Factory Management in 2021. Still retaining members of the group that played, protested, and were arrested with his father, they have a reputation for playing multi-hour shows heavy on group improvisation. “My band Egypt 80 and I hope, as always, that our music will help make the world a more generous, kinder and more livable place,” Seun concludes, “not only to fans but to its underrepresented people.”
