Bendigo Fletcher Announces Addititonal Tour Dates

Bendigo Fletcher have announced additional US tour dates in support of their forthcoming debut album Fits of Laughter. This November, the band will embark on a run of co-headline shows with Ona and Sylmar. Tickets for all dates are on sale now HERE. Fits of Laughter is due for release on August 13, 2021 via Elektra Records and is available for pre-order now HERE. Watch the band perform the album’s latest track  “Astro Pup “ live from Louisville, KY ‘s Blackacre Farm HERE

This Summer, Bendigo Fletcher will return to the road for a run of headline shows and festival appearances. In the Fall and Winter, the band will support labelmate Anderson East on both legs of his Maybe We Never Die Tour of North America. The 22-city trek kicks off on October 21, 2021 with two nights at Los Angeles, CA ‘s famed Troubadour, and wraps on February 02, 2022 at Toronto, Canada ‘s Danforth Music Hall. A complete list of live dates and ticket information can be found on their website.

Bendigo Fletcher announced their Elektra Records signing in an exclusive interview with American Songwriter, and previewed Fits of Laughter with the release of lead single  “Evergreen “ earlier this year. In May, the band returned with the album ‘s groove-heavy opener  “Sugar in the Creek“ and an accompanying animated music video. Last month, they unveiled the album‘s latest track “Astro Pup”. The album‘s early releases have been praised as  “somewhere between the post-Woodstock folk scene of the band that decade‘s burgeoning hard rock movement“ (FLOOD Magazine), and  “denser psych-rock with some remaining elements of Bendigo Fletcher’s drifting folk-Americana roots“ (American Songwriter). Additionally, The Bluegrass Situation premiered a live video of the band performing  “Sugar In The Creek“.

Throughout Fits of Laughter, frontman Ryan Anderson crafts the patchwork poetry of his lyrics by serenely observing the world around him. When matched with the band’s gorgeous collision of country and folk-rock and dreamy psychedelic, the result is story-songs graced with raw humanity, wildly offbeat humor, and a transcendent sense of wonder. For help in forging the album’s ragged elegance, Bendigo Fletcher worked with producer Ken Coomer, laying down the album in nine frenetic days. The album bears an undeniable immediacy, thanks in part to the band’s decision to limit the tracklist to eight essential songs (a move largely inspired by extraordinarily lean and iconic albums like Television ‘s Marquee Moon).

Fits of Laughter follows a trio of independent EPs that quietly amassed millions of streams and earned praise from Pop Matters, Atwood Magazine, and more. Converting audiences to fans on the road, Bendigo Fletcher has supported Mt. Joy, Nathaniel Rateliff, Rayland Baxter, Caamp, and Hiss Golden Messenger on tour. Bendigo Fletcher is: Ryan Anderson (lead vocals, guitar, banjo) – Andrew Shupert (backing vocals, lead guitar) – Evan Wagner (backing vocals, keys, guitar, auxiliary percussion) – Conner Powell (bass) – Chris Weis (drums).

What I Like was produced by multi-Grammy Award winning and Producer of the Year nominated producers/songwriters The Stereotypes (Bruno Mars, Cardi B., Justin Bieber) who also co-wrote the song with Destiny.

Unapologetic but impossibly smooth, What I Like shares some crucial insight into Destiny’s personality, listing off what she loves (matte-black Mercedes-AMGs, men who don’t talk too much) and what she can’t stand (driving the speed limit, dudes who expect her to pick up the check).

The release of What I Like coincides with the launch of Destiny’s Jordan Brand campaign, titled Delta of Destiny for the release of the Jordan Delta 2 shoe. The month-long campaign will be featured on Jordan’s social pages and on the Nike app. Every week until August 11th, Jordan Brand will be releasing content featuring Destiny Rogers with What I Like as the featured track.

Check out the Jordan Brand campaign on Instagram HERE and on the Nike App HERE.

Comments Destiny, I am so thankful to the Jordan family for a giving me the opportunity and platform to share my story and to feature some new music! It’s a dream come true.

What I Like follows Destiny’s just released track West Like feat Kalan.FrFr on which Destiny pays loving homage to her West Coast and Latin roots, laying down a groove-heavy, talk-box-enhanced track inspired by the classic G-Funk records of the early ’90s. Check out the video premiere on COMPLEX, watch the official video HERE and a live performance that debuted last week HERE

Since first breaking through with her boldly confident but carefree single Tomboy, which has generated 43 million views on YouTube (Watch HERE) and most recently covered by K-Pop super group Black Pink’s Lisa through a dance cover (Watch HERE) that has generated over 67 million views,  Destiny Rogers has staked her claim as an artist to watch. Growing up in the Northern California town of Lodi, the 21-year-old multi-faceted musician taught herself to play guitar at age 10 and soon started writing and self-producing her own songs. Soon after the 2019 premiere of Tomboy, a track that recently hit #12 on Spotify’s Global Viral 50, Destiny’s spectacular rise has included touring the world and writing for heavy hitters such as Alicia Keys, Khelani and G-Eazy, all while discovering a new sound that transcends genres to irresistible effect.

Check out her Genius Verified piece HERE which explores her debut Tomboy.

Destiny Rogers is currently in the studio working on new material.  Prior to West Like featuring Kalan.FrFr, Destiny released a reworking of Tomboy feat. Coi Leray, and linked up with Coi for a special TikTok to the song which was reposted on Instagram and praised by Kim Kardashian West.  In addition, K-Pop superstar B.I released his global single, Got It Like That featuring Destiny Rogers with Tyla Yaweh which debuted at #1 on Spotify’s K-Pop X-Overs chart and has generated over 4 million views on YouTube (Watch HERE).

His story kicked into high gear back in 2017. Following the Soundcloud success of “Cocaine Babe” and “Girl In New York,” he earned the respect of late idol Mac Miller and Benny Blanco. BENEE], and “that’s just how it goes.” A year later, his momentum only increased with the follow-up our little angel EP. The single “blind” eclipsed 40 million Spotify streams, while coup de main hailed it as “must-listen.” The Line of Best Fit praised his “songs with tenderness and Gen Z apathy.” After gathering nearly 200 million streams and receiving acclaim from HYPEBEAST, DIY, Earmilk, and many more, he illuminates every side of himself on newest single “forever&more” with more music to come.Lord Huron released the official music video for their song “Love Me Like You Used To” off their critically acclaimed album Long Lost.

Nothing But Thieves – Moral Panic II

NOTHING BUT THIEVES SHARE MORAL PANIC II OUT NOW

ANNOUNCE 3 INTIMATE LIVE AT LAST UK WARM-UP TOUR DATES

AUTUMN 2021 UK, IRELAND AND EUROPEAN TOUR ON SALE NOW

Political turmoil, climate change, and the toxicity of the internet all pour into Nothing But Thieves record Moral Panic. –  TLOBF

The band achieve another phenomenal album – Clash

This is the sound of a band who understand their audience but also delight in taking risks – Gigwise

A living, breathing, and characteristically anthemic, beast of an album – Music OMH

LISTEN TO MORAL PANIC II

Southend five-piece Nothing But Thieves have shared their new 5-track EP Moral Panic II via Sony Music UK/RCA Records, which is the follow-up to their #3 acclaimed third album Moral Panic released last year, and features recent singles Miracle, Baby and Futureproof. They have also announced that they will be performing songs from Moral Panic II and Moral Panic at three intimate UK warm-up shows next month.

Moral Panic II follows the band’s acclaimed third album Moral Panic and was written following the completion of the latter, despite a connection between the two both thematically and lyrically. The EP features 5 brand new tracks, including recent singles Futureproof and Miracle, Baby, and is a reflective body of work tinged with emotion, anger and hope, which openly and passionately discusses many issues we face in modern society today. The track listing is as follows:

Moral Panic II

  1. Futureproof
  2. If I Were You
  3. Miracle, Baby
  4. Ce n’est Rien
  5. Your Blood

The band say, Moral Panic II was something we decided to do only after Part I was all mixed, mastered and the records pressed.  It didn’t feel like we were done with the Moral Panic theme – I think partly because we hadn’t been able to tour the project yet, it didn’t feel right to move on. But we also had the luxury of time to assess the album and explore some avenues we felt the album may have missed.

In that way, it was important that Moral Panic II comprised of completely fresh, newly written songs rather than songs that just didn’t wind up making the album, like how a traditional deluxe version would function. There’s a familiarity, but we also really honed in on a new side of the band. Part II really rounds Part I out – the two parts should be enjoyed as one project.

Released last year, their third album Moral Panic achieved over 102 million streams and saw support from the likes of BBC Radio 1, Virgin Radio and Radio X alongside winning Best Indie Act at Global Radio’s 2021 Awards. Moral Panic followed their 2018 EP What Did You Think When You Made Me This Way, their 2017 acclaimed album Broken Machine, which charted at #2 in the UK album chart, and their debut self-titled album Nothing But Thieves.

The past few years have been quite a ride for Nothing But Thieves. Amassing over 1 million worldwide album sales and over 907 million worldwide streams, they have built up a loyal and wide following for their impactful alt rock sound, cementing themselves as one of the best current rock bands in the world. Selling 150,000 tickets on their last album campaign, which included a sold-out show at London’s Alexandra Palace and selling out their entire worldwide Broken Machine headline tour, their success has been global.

The band have performed on US TV shows, such as James Corden and Jimmy Kimmel, after their debut became the bestselling debut from a UK rock band in the US in 2015 and played packed out international shows from Poland to Amsterdam, where they headlined an arena to 6,000 fans. After intimately debuting new songs early last year for a BRITs/War Child gig, they were set to tour internationally last Spring, including a show to 6,500 people at Moscow Adrenaline Stadium.

Following 3 livestream performances Live from the Warehouse last year to launch Moral Panic, they are finally bringing songs from the album to live audiences this Autumn with a UK, Ireland and European tour, including their biggest ever headline London show at O2 Arena. The have also just announced they will be performing a series of intimate live shows ahead of their tour with 3 warm-up shows in Oxford, Norwich and Liverpool next month. With a well-earned reputation for their energetic, impassioned and infinite live shows, it’s a tour not to be missed.

Nothing But Thieves are Conor Mason (vocals, guitars), Joe Langridge-Brown (guitars), Dominic Craik (guitars, keyboard), Philip Blake (bass guitar) and James Price (drums).

ABOUT BIA:

Platinum recording artist BIA has gradually been traveling along her own lane within music, a lane that only she can occupy. Raised in Boston, the rap femme fatale is known for music that possesses both biting wit and a boldly authentic swag. It comes, undoubtedly, from BIA’s years traveling through the Boston rap scene, later moving over to Miami, Los Angeles, and then taking over the world. With every mixtape, collaboration, and guest appearance, BIA has only amplified her reach. So much so, that she made the most in a pandemic, dominating 2020 with a fresh new perspective. She inked a deal with Epic Records, dropped the hard-hitting “Free BIA (1st Day Out)” and the intoxicating “COVERGIRL”, as well as dove further into the fashion world with a feature in Good American’s Spring 2020 campaign and Missguided x Sean John Fall 2020 capsule collection.

By the close of 2020, she dropped her For Certain EP, armed with the hit single “Whole Lotta Money”—a song with a central message that unlimited currency can be both mental and physical. The EP reached the Top 10 of Billboard’s Heatseekers Album Charts, with the aforementioned single become a sleeper hit that would bring her uncharted.

Valley – Tempo

VALLEY BUILD IT UP AND BREAK IT DOWN ON NEW SINGLE TEMPO, OUT TODAY Features Soaky Siren Who The Band Wrote The Song With

Performing At Wunderbus Festival, Bottlerock Festival And Joining Coin For 17-date North American Tour

LISTEN TO TEMPO HERE

JUNO nominated, alternative-pop band, Valley shift gears with their brand-new single, Tempo released today via Capitol Records. We often as Valley talk about our love for juxtaposition in songwriting. It’s played a huge role in our style and how we story tell with our music. Happy melody = sad lyric, the band explain, ‘Tempo’ is very much opposite to that process for Valley and particularly why we love it so much. Valley, comprised of Rob Laska, Karah James, Mickey Brandolino and Alex DiMauro, have spent the past two years developing organic buzz through a personal and intimate connection with their fans. Listen to Tempo HERE. Watch the official visualizer HERE.

Described by the band as an upbeat dance track but with the recognizable Valley flair, the fresh sound was created as part of a new collaboration, We wrote it with the lovely Soaky Siren (Nobody’s Love by Maroon 5) who we ended sampling all over the song, her voice has such a lush vintage yet modern feel to it. It really fills the space throughout ‘Tempo’ in a beautiful way, Valley reveals.

In sincere Valley fashion, the song meaning suggests embracing being in the present moment and the people you’re with, reveling in every detail of it. Valley illuminates, Life is short and moves quick. Taking a second to really experience things is so important these days. So lyrically, it’s about obsessing over a moment or someone in your life but in the sweetest and most pure of ways; from waking up with them in the morning to going out with them at night and existing together in the mundane, but it meaning the world to you. It’s wishing we could slow down time to experience each moment together more deeply. ‘Tempo’ is all about tension and release sonically.

Tempo follows two previously released tracks so far this year; Like 1999 and SOCIETY. The explosive, Like 1999 which genesis traces back to a viral TikTok post that drove the band to finish the track in under 48 hours, helped push their catalog to eclipse over 170 million streams while breaking borders, appearing on viral charts in the U.S., Philippines, Korea, Japan and more.

After an unprecedented year for live music, Valley is excited to reconnect with their fans to perform across North America. The band is gearing up to play Wunderbus Festival in Columbus, OH, and Bottlerock Festival in Napa Valley, CA, at the end of the summer and then join COIN on a 17-date North American tour this fall. See full list of tour dates below, tickets available on Valley’s website.

ABOUT VALLEY

Valley puts together alternative pop with the care, adventurousness and personal touch of a handmade burned CD. Cycling through moods like your favorite throwback Pinterest board, the Toronto quartet amplify sticky hooks through eloquent songcraft thatߣs cognizant of what came before, yet ready for the future. In 2016, Valley formed by accident when a local studio double booked them. During high school, Mickey and Karah played in one band, while Rob and Alex played in another. They introduced themselves with self-written, self-produced releases, including the EP This Room Is White (2016), the full-length debut MAYBE (2019) and their last EP sucks to see you doing better (2020). They joined Lennon Stella and The Band CAMINO on sold out tours across North America and even picked up a 2020 JUNO Award nomination in the category of Breakthrough Group of the Year.

Big Time Rush’s Big Time Reunion

By: Ally Brewster

Big Time Rush is an American boyband that got its start on Nickelodeon from 2009-2013. The band is comprised of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Carlos PenaVega. The Big Time Rush show followed “4 hockey players from Minnesota that get the opportunity of a lifetime.” The show was an instant hit among children, garnering a cult-like following from the young audience. The success lead to the four seasons of the show, three albums and the band going on worldwide tours, breaking out of that “Disney/Nickelodeon children’s television band” trope that many children-show artists get stuck in.

Since 2013, the band-members parted ways, each going onto their respective solo careers. Kendall has a band named Heffron Drive with bandmate Dustin Belt that he released the album Happy Mistakes with in 2014, as well as singles after that. James has been modeling and has released singes such as “Love U Sober” and “Falling.” Logan has had a solo career in music, releasing two studio album Echoes of Departure and the Endless Street of Dreams – Pt. 1 and Pt. 2, as well as a number of singles. Carlos has had a successful acting career, being a voice actor on Nickelodeon’s The Loud House and in Hallmark’s Picture Perfect Mysteries series.

As the bandmates went their separate ways into their successful careers, they still were friends; as shown by their countless Instagram posts of them hanging out and singing together over the years, warming the hearts of fans worldwide and creating a glimmer of hope that one day they could all find their way back together.

In 2021, twelve years later after their premiere, the band still has die-hard fans, now all grown up and keeping the band relevant years after their Nickelodeon departure. Their song “Big Time Rush” became a trending sound on TikTok at the beginning of 2020. Stephen Kramer Glickman, who played Gustavo Rocque their songwriter on the show, sold handwritten Big Time Rush song lyrics in June 2021, posting on his TikTok how much he loves interacting with the Big Time Rush fans. People have been asking and hoping for new music, a tour, a movie, for them to reunite one last time, and it looks like fans have had their wish come true.

At the beginning of 2020 the Big Time Rush Instagram became active for the first time in years. Fans went crazy over it. Does this mean they’re reuniting? Are they getting a reboot show like other beloved 2000s children shows such as iCarly and That’s So Raven? The question never was truly answered as the pandemic came in full force, halting any plans if there were any.

With the revival of the Instagram, the band-members reunited for a quick reunion video, to talk about what’s going on, something that many celebrities did as a way to give to the fans during the uncertain and scary times. Fans couldn’t contain their excitement as everyone thought that the video meant they were reuniting, especially once Carlos said the phrase, “and who knows, a lot to look forward to at the end of this.” Fans took this as a hint that something big was going to happen with them. Perhaps a new album or tour? The answer remained a mystery as the band posted throwbacks and shared what each member was doing throughout the pandemic, never even acknowledging the questions that filled their comment section.

Finally, in July 2021, fans got their answers. The Big Time Rush Instagram was wiped, no posts public. The profile picture was turned to red, as were the members of the band and Stephen Kramer Glickman. Fans went wild. They knew what this meant. The color profile picture and wiped social media, a classic marketing tactic of musicians in the digital age: rebrand yourself for what’s next; get people talking about what it means.

And their fan’s intuition proved correct, as on July 19, 2021, the band made a Big Time Announcement: they’re reuniting for two live performances, one in New York City, the other in Chicago. The announcement was filled with a bunch of inside jokes from the television show, from the voiceover, Kendall by his name on the tv show, to calling James “bandana man,” asking Carlos where his helmet was, referencing Logan’s PhD seeking character from the show, and declaring that they are going to once again “live it Big Time.”

Gracie Abrams Announces 2021 Tour

GRACIE ABRAMS ANNOUNCES I’VE MISSED YOU, I’M SORRY TOUR

Acclaimed songwriter Gracie Abrams announces her I’ve missed you, I’m sorry tour for this fall. Kicking off September 1 in Santa Ana at the Constellation Room Abrams will play 10 shows including stops in New York City, Atlanta, Los Angeles and London. Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 23, at 10 a.m. local time. See below for the full list of tour dates including already announced festivals Bottlerock, Firefly and Austin City Limits.  Tickets can be purchased here.

In May Abrams released her poignant new single Mess It Up and its accompanying video — a heart-melting portrait of shattered hopes and smashed layer cake.  Directed by Matty Peacock, the video for Mess It Up finds Abrams attempting to bake a cake and repeatedly dropping the gorgeously frosted final product on the ground.

Mess It Up is Abrams’s first new music since the March premiere of Unlearn, a collaboration with hitmaker benny blanco who also served as producer on the title track to her acclaimed debut project minor which came out last summer.

ABOUT GRACIE ABRAMS

Since making her debut with Mean It in October 2019, Gracie Abrams has emerged as one of the most compelling songwriters of her generation, earning the admiration of such likeminded artists as Lorde, Billie Eilish, and Olivia Rodrigo. A consummate songwriter who names Joni Mitchell as her most formative influence, she penned her first song at the age of eight, then went on to amass a devoted following on the strength of her emotionally intimate lyrics and DIY sensibilities. As her profile rose, Abrams was named an artist to watch by tastemaking outlets like Pigeons & Planes, Fader, and -iD, in addition to being crowned one of seven breakout female musicians by Vogue UK. With the arrival of her debut project minor in summer 2020, she received glowing reviews from the likes of NME, who praised her painfully honest tales of heartbreak draped in delicate melodies that carry much more intrigue than the usual run-of-the-mill singer-songwriter. Executive-produced by Blake Slatkin — and also made with leading producers like Joel Little and benny blanco – the seven-song effort features her beloved singles 21, I miss you, I’m sorry, and Long Sleeves. Abrams is now at work on more new music, due out later this year.

The Avalanches Announce Tour

Today Australian sample pioneers The Avalanches announce a 2022 North American tour. General ticket on-sale begins at 10:00am local time this Friday, July 23 at The Avalanche’s website. The tour showcases The Avalanches members Robbie Chater and Tony DiBlasi in an all-new electronic stage setup. Kicking off on February 17, 2022 at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C., The Avalanches are set to take the audience on a cosmic journey, as they explore the vibrational relationship between light, sound, and spirit.

The early 2022 North American tour announcement follows a string of recent Australian shows for the duo. The Sydney Morning Herald praised the fantastical show, declaring “The Avalanches deliver a sample of heaven they united The Bowl by focusing on the enduring power of voices in a hive-mind two-man DJ set on an almighty sound system.” Double J agreed noting, “Armed with an array of synths and samplers, Robbie Chater and Tony DiBlasi piece together a glorious, cohesive set that serves as an emotional journey any Avalanches fan should be pleased to take.” In 2017, The Avalanches played their first-ever live shows in America, which included two mesmerizing sets at Coachella that landed in The Los Angeles Times Best Coachella Performances and Rolling Stone’s 15 Best Things We Saw At Coachella.

The Avalanches recently commemorated the 20 anniversary of their ground-breaking debut album, Since I Left You, with the release of a deluxe edition featuring numerous bonus tracks including fresh mixes from such artists as MF Doom, Black Dice, Leon Vynehall, Sinkane and Carl Craig. The anniversary edition, which just hit No. 1 on the NACC Electronic college radio chart, is available now in vinyl, CD and digital formats HERE. The release and subsequent touring in support of Since I Left You was followed by a 16-year radio silence, which was broken with the release of The Avalanches sophomore album, Wildflower (Astralwerks), which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Vinyl Albums chart and atop the Australian Albums chart in 2016.
