TAEYANG × JIMIN

Global superstars TAEYANG (of BIGBANG fame) and Jimin of BTS come together for one of the most anticipated and unexpected K-Pop releases of the 2020s. Listen to “VIBE (feat. Jimin of BTS)” HERE via THEBLACKLABEL/Interscope Records

The magnitude of the collaboration cannot be understated. Not only is it a cross-generational release uniting superstars of different eras, it also connects two artists from the biggest boy bands of all time. If anyone can live up to that hype, it’s TAEYANG. The BIGBANG legend and lead singer has inspired generations of K-Pop artists.

It’s impossible to talk about K-Pop’s global ascent without discussing BIGBANG, one of the most influential and decorated acts in the late 2000s and 2010s. They were the first to gain global recognition, performing at stadiums worldwide for millions of fans in record-breaking numbers and have influenced countless acts in the genre for their various musical styles and self-production. Dubbed the “Kings of K-Pop,” BIGBANG is one of the best-selling boy bands of all time, winning over 100 awards, being on the New York Times “Best Concerts List”, and winning “Best Worldwide Act” at the MTV Europe Awards.

In addition to making history with the band, TAEYANG is also an accomplished solo artist, releasing four massively successful albums including two that have gone #1 on Billboard’s World Albums chart with a string of hits including “Eyes, Nose, Lips” which won “Song of the Year” on all the major Korean award shows.

As both TAEYANG and Jimin are vocalists with outstanding dancing ability, their collaboration is effortlessly smooth and flawless. TAEYANG and Jimin both partook in the song composition along with TEDDY, a long-time collaborator and Producer for TAEYANG and BIGBANG. TEDDY is also the Founder of THEBLACKLABEL. Also participating is an established lineup of Songwriters and Producers in Kush, Vince, and 24 from THEBLACKLABEL.

The track is accompanied by a suitably dazzling visual, which showcases the duo’s slick dance moves and undeniable charisma. Watch it HERE

With “VIBE”, TAEYANG and Jimin add another undeniable anthem to their already glittering discographies while celebrating this unprecedented moment in K-Pop history.

Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, November 18th at 10 AM local time. More information can be found HERE.

EVERYTHING TO EVERYONE TOUR DATES:

December 6th   Los Angeles, CA   Troubadour

December 13th  New York, NY      Bowery Electric

December 15th  Boston, MA          Sonia’s

December 18th  Atlanta, GA          Vinyl

Today’s announcement arrives on the heels of Reneé’s debut EP Everything To Everyone, an emotional 7-track project which highlights her vocal prowess and versatility as she shifts from soaring emotional ballads to polished pop anthems. The stripped-back title track and EP opener explores Rapp’s desire to show up for the important people in her life. Next up is the multi-hyphenate’s breakout single “In the Kitchen,” which reflects on a doomed relationship, and a brand new track titled “Colorado” that expresses her desire to leave Los Angeles behind. It’s the kind of unfiltered anthem that made her most recent release, “Don’t Tell My Mom,” so gut-wrenching. On the track, Rapp details her tumultuous, tight knit relationship with her mother. Don’t tell my mom, I’m fallin’ apart,” she belts over minimal synths. “She hurts when I hurt, my scars are her scars.” The EP is rounded out by the songs “What Can I Do,” “Too Well,” and “Moon,” each of which showcases a slightly different shade of Rapp’s musical palate. It’s the kind of collection with a song for every mood or emotional state.

The EP follows the singles “Don’t Tell My Mom,” “In the Kitchen,” and “Tattoos,” which have amassed more than 22 million combined streams. Throughout her career, Rapp has displayed a knack for captivating audiences with vibrant performances and unbridled energy. Outside of music, she stars in the hit HBO Max series The Sex Lives of College Girls, which has its season 2 premiere next week. It’s a role that calls for brilliant comedic timing and dramatic prowess, both of which the newcomer has in spades. With Everything to Everyone, Rapp underlines the breadth and depth of her talent, veering from soaring ballads to uptempo pop anthems without missing a beat.

ABOUT RENEÉ RAPP:

Reneé Rapp knew she was born to perform ever since she was a child. Even in her earliest memories, her love of music was always present. “I couldn’t sit still in the car unless there was music,” she says. “Otherwise, I would cry the entire time.” The North Carolina native began harnessing her natural creativity by writing and recording songs when she was just a teenager. Eventually, her career took off when she landed the coveted role of Regina George in the Tony-nominated Mean Girls musical on Broadway. Shortly after, she found widespread recognition and praise—from the likes of W, Harper’s Bazaar, and The Hollywood Report for her performance as “Leighton” on the HBO Max series “The Sex Lives of College Girls” written by Mindy Kaling. Now, more empowered than ever, Rapp turns her attention back to music, where sharing threadbare insecurities on “Tattoos” is just the beginning. “I was called ‘crazy’ a lot growing up because I didn’t know what was going on with me,” she says. “As I got older and started going to therapy, I reclaimed the word in a way that feels good to me.” In this song and in the rest of her music to come Rapp leans into a uniquely bold showcase of vulnerability to connect with her ever-growing fandom. Eager to continue to share her emotions with the world, Reneé has much more music on the way under her recent signing to Interscope Records

GIGI - “FIGURINES” via 360 MAGAZINE

GIGI – “FIGURINES”

GIGI’S NEW SINGLE, “FIGURINES,” IS OUT TODAY – LISTEN HERE

BROOKLYN BASED SINGER-SONGWRITER WRAPS UP TOUR WITH NOAH CYRUS AT THE WILTERN IN LOS ANGELES ON NOVEMBER 4

Breakout artist gigi gives a tour de force vocal performance on her new single, ”Figurines,” released today via Mogul Vision/Interscope Records. On the dreamy, self-penned track, which she recorded in Nashville, gigi examines mortality and the process of forging one’s own path. Mike Zara and Aidan Hobbs produced and play on “Figurines,” combining haunting keyboards with plaintive guitar and adding accordion and saxophone as the song builds to an emotional close. Listen to “Figurines” HERE. View the visualizer HERE.

“’Figurines’ is about the circle of life, fear of death, and the lengths people go to immortalize themselves. There are many areas of my life i can point in my early development that have influenced this sort of existential thorn i have. Your brain is a hard drive and you can never erase anything from it. Your experiences are with you always but you can work past them. Writing about my fears of mortality help me come to terms with it myself,” said gigi.

Born in New Jersey, raised in Florida and now based in Brooklyn, gigi is currently on her first national tour, providing direct support on Noah Cyrus’ North American run. The Hardest Part Tour, which stops at The Truman in Kansas City tonight, concludes on November 4 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. While many of the remaining shows are sold out, limited tickets are available HERE for some dates. See below for itinerary.

Check out this snippet of gigi performing “Sometimes (Backwood)” on the tour. After sharing the track on TikTok in 2021, she released the single independently. It racked up 18 million streams in the first six months and combined global streams now surpass 72 million. Hailing gigi as “one of Gen Z’s breakout artists,”  Medium tracked the song’s organic growth in this feature, and said, “[‘Sometimes (Backwood)’] is a torrent of raw emotion…Let’s see what gigi does next.”

“Figurines” is the latest in a remarkable string of follow-up singles from gigi that include “The Man,” “When She Smiles” and “Glue.” Depicting the life of a queer twenty-something with raw honesty and all-enveloping beauty, the songs showcase her blunt yet tender poetry amid windswept landscapes of acoustic guitars, swooping strings and delicate reverb.

ABOUT BLACKPINK:

One of the most massively successful K-pop groups in music history, BLACKPINK have redefined the global pop landscape since first bursting onto the scene in 2016. Along with boasting the #1 most-subscribed artist channel on YouTube, the South Korean quartet has achieved such boundary-defying milestones as scoring the highest-charting album by a female group in over a decade and becoming the first K-pop girl group ever to perform at Coachella (the largest music festival in the U.S.). Comprised of JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ and LISA—all immensely charismatic vocalists, dancers, and fast-rising fashion icons—BLACKPINK began their meteoric rise with their 2016 debut “SQUARE ONE” and further proved their crossover power with “SQUARE UP” (a 2018 release that quickly cracked the Billboard 200).

Soon after signing with Interscope Records through a global partnership with YG Entertainment, the group made their full-length debut with 2020’s immediately iconic THE ALBUM. THE ALBUM shot to #2 on the Billboard 200 and landed three singles on the Billboard Hot 100: “How You Like That” (the iconic single that shattered several YouTube records, including fastest video to cross 150 million views), “Ice Cream” (a collaboration with Selena Gomez that broke the record for highest-charting female K-pop group on the Hot 100), and “Lovesick Girls” (a track that’s sold over 1.4 million copies worldwide, making BLACKPINK the first K-pop girl group to sell over a million units). Through the years, BLACKPINK have also garnered a number of major awards (including an MTV Video Music Award for Song of the Summer as well as three E! People’s Choice Awards), collaborated with superstars like Dua Lipa and Lady Gaga, performed on “The Tonight Show,” and starred in BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky (a 2020 film hailed by the New York Times as an “endearing documentary that emphasizes each member’s individuality”). With over 6.3 billion career Spotify streams to date, BLACKPINK have unveiled their wildly anticipated sophomore album BORN PINK. In less than a month, the group will hit the road for their 2022/2023 world tour kicking off on October 15 in Seoul, South Korea.

GLORILLA × HITKIDD

GloRilla’s “FNF (Let’s Go)” Anthem Soars To No. 1 At U.S. Urban Radio

Today, GloRilla’s breakout single FNF (Let’s Go) with HitKidd reached No. 1 at U.S. Urban Radio, marking the latest milestone in a year full of memorable and life-changing accomplishments for the Memphis hip-hop artist.

The success of “FNF (Let’s Go)” has quickly taken the music industry by storm, sparking the viral #FNFChallenge on TikTok, generating over 32 million views (and counting) on YouTube and resulting in GloRilla’s acclaimed debut on the Billboard Hot 100.

It ultimately paved the way for GloRilla to sign to Yo Gotti’s esteemed CMG record label in partnership with Interscope RecordsSince then, she has continued to maintain her momentum, releasing her new single “Tomorrow,” that appeared on CMG’s dynamic compilation album, Gangsta Art. Additionally, she is also riding the steady rise of her collaboration with Duke Deuce for “Just Say That.”

GloRilla will also have her own standout set to perform those songs – and additional cuts from her discography – at Made in America 2022 in Philadelphia during Labor Day weekend. She also recently appeared at Rolling Loud Miami and Wireless Festival in the UK.

The latter festival appearance immediately boosted the rising star’s visibility in the UK as “FNF (Let’s Go)” was added to the BBC 1 Xtra A List shortly after her performance. GloRilla’s fast ascension has garnered widespread support across the hip-hop community, receiving co-signs from the likes of Travis ScottCardi B, Saweetie, Latto and many more.

She was recently named Billboard’s July 2022 Chartbreaker, where she detailed the backstory behind the creation of “FNF (Let’s Go).”

NALIYA × TAY MONEY

Rising producer, songwriter, and singer Naliya flexes her vocal prowess and intricate production skills on the carefree new single “Trippin,” out today via Immersive / Sandlot / Interscope Records. On the nostalgic track, the pop phenom slips effortlessly through each verse, inviting no-nonsense Texas rapper Tay Money along for the ride.

“Trippin” (Immersive / Sandlot / Interscope Records) by Naliya ft. Tay Money is available now at all digital retailers HERE

While Naliya has always packed her music with a punch, she ups the ante on “Trippin.” “Boy, I know I make you weak,” she sings, “Don’t you know that I’m a freak?” An inventive producer, she underscores her intimate message with a silvery sax loop and weaves together contrasting vocal tracks over bold percussion. “I keep ‘em trippin’ on me,” Naliya boasts.

Tay Money then brings in another level of confidence, sliding in with fast-flowing ferocity as Naliya keeps her cool throughout. “Trippin” ft. Tay Money is Naliya’s first new release of 2022, following a definitive year that included her Interscope debut, “Handshakes,” along with electro-pop gems “Roller Coaster,” “Whatever,” and “Le Ciel”—all of which have received critical praise, including a feature in UPROXX’s “Best New Pop Music This Week” roundup.

ABOUT NALIYA:

Naliya personally touches every element of her music. Behind a desk running Ableton Live by herself, she’ll conjure up a beat before picking up a pen to write lyrics and finally grabbing a microphone to bring the production and words to life. Raised between Canada and France, the Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and producer architects an unfiltered and undeniable take on pop warmed by handcrafted beats and lyrics so intimate they could be a DM.

During a Shark Tank-style Instagram Live hosted by powerhouse songwriter J Kash [Maroon 5, Charlie Puth, Selena Gomez], she shared a composition and landed a deal. With Kash in her corner, she co-wrote Jason Derulo’s “Lifestyle” [feat. Adam Levine] and Tate McRae’s “Rubberband. After amassing nearly 6 million streams independently and quietly cooking up songs for industry heavyweights, she formally introduces herself on a series of 2021 singles and her forthcoming debut EP to be released via Immersive / Sandlot / Interscope Records.

ABOUT TAY MONEY:

In just over two years, Tay Money, the Athens-born, Dallas-based rapper has racked up millions of views and streams thanks to her witty punchlines and unique musical approach. Her debut song, “Na Na” marked the beginning of her career as an artist and set the tone for the originality that she would bring to the rest of her records to come. Within months of her first release, she was selling out shows in Dallas and had gained a cult-like following among her listeners (now dubbed Tay Army).

With her bouncy trap beats, unmistakable Texas twang, and unapologetically catchy rhymes, Tay began to reach commercial success with her breakout song “Trapper’s Delight” in 2018. With what was originally a risky move to expand her music outside the limits of her hometown of Dallas, the video for “Trapper’s Delight” amassed over 1.1 million views in under two months. Since then, she’s continued to release many more viral hits including “Bussin” (11 million YouTube views), “Bussin 2.0” with Saweetie (7 million YouTube views), and “Brat” featuring Mulatto, two of which are on her recently released EP, Blockedt. The widely acclaimed project led to many defining moments for Tay, landing spots on coveted playlists including Spotify’s ‘New Music Friday’, ‘Feelin Myself’, and ‘Release Radar’ as well as Apple Music’s ‘The Plug’ and ‘New In Hip Hop’. The project also received praise from FLAUNT who hailed her as “one of the biggest women rappers in Texas”, SPIN who noted that she was “one of the biggest women rappers in Texas”, and ELEVATOR who named her their February cover star. Now, with the cosigns of some of the biggest up-and-coming female rappers, and having surpassed the milestone of over 100 million U.S. streams, Tay plans to build on her momentum with more music coming soon.
