Prior to the album dropping, Wizkid released “Money & Love” and his P2J-produced (whose credits also include Beyoncé, Doja Cat andBurna Boy) single “Bad To Me.” To coincide with his latest release, Apple Music will release an Apple Music Live performance with Wiz on November 14th and his first-ever Madison Square Garden show in New York is happening on November 16th – buy tickets here.
Recently, Wizkid reached a momentous career milestone as his 2020 Grammy nominated album Made in Lagos, with over abillion streams to its name, was awarded Gold Certified from the RIAA. The album’s 2021 deluxe version had the Justin Bieber remixed lead single “Essence” (featuring Tems) that peaked at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, won a 2022 BET Awardfor “Best Collaboration” and a 2022 NAACP Image Award for “Outstanding International Song,” in addition to being the first Nigerian song to chart on both the Hot 100 and Global 200 charts. The original Grammy nominated version of the single featuring Tems is a 2x Platinum smash hit that reached #1 at Urban Radio and #1 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplaychart.
Grammy award winning singer/songwriter Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun (aka Wizkid) began his career in music when he was just 11 years old in Lagos, Nigeria. His first record, Lil Prinz, was recorded in 2001 in collaboration with Glorious Five, a group consisting of Balogun and his friends from church. In 2006, he started pursuing music full-time, at first collaborating with various Nigerian pop acts including OJB Jezreel, Naeto C, and Banky W. By 2011, he was ready to record his debut studio album as a solo artist: Superstar was released via Empire Mates Entertainment to great critical and public acclaim across Africa, propelling him to stardom in his home country. After multiple delays and label disagreements, Balogun released his sophomore album titled Ayo in 2014. This second studio album had a multitude of guest appearances, including a spot from Femi Kuti. It also featured Balogun’s global breakthrough track “Ojuelegba.” Not only did the single cement his status as one of Nigeria’s biggest pop acts, it was also picked up and remixed by Drake and Skepta, thrusting Wizkid into the international spotlight. In return, Wizkid appeared on Drake‘s 2016 smash single “One Dance.”
In March 2017, it was announced that Wizkid had signed a major deal with RCA and Sony International, which released his third LP, Sounds From the Other Side, later that year. A handful of singles appeared in advance of the album, including “Daddy Yo”, “Sweet Love” and “Come Closer”, and were successful; the latter is certified Gold in the USA and the UK .
Following his impressive international campaign, Wizkid refocused energy on his Starboy imprint in Africa. From releasing viral records like “Soco” with his affiliate acts to securing partnerships with brands such as Puma, Wizkid has solidified himself as a millennial pioneer for African entertainment. As an ode to his hometown, Wizkid released his fourth full-length project titled Made in Lagos in 2020 with guest appearances from Burna Boy, Skepta, Damian Marley, H.E.R, Ella Mai, and more. The album is the highest charting Nigerian album on the Billboard 200 of all time, the longest charting Nigerian album of the century on Billboard World Albums chart, and the first and only African album to be RIAA certified Gold in the US with half a million in sale units. Hit single “Essence” became the first Nigerian song to feature on the Billboard Hot 100 and peak #1 on US urban radio. Made in Lagos, along with his Grammy award winning feature with Beyonce and five sellout shows at the o2 Arena, prove Wizkid’s movement to be one of lasting global impact.

Madonna has released a new remix of her global dance smash “Hung Up” featuring Dominican rapper Tokischa, titled “Hung Up on Tokischa” – listen here.
The collaboration first premiered with a live performance by the duo at Madonna’s Pride event at Terminal 5 in New York in June celebrating her career-spanning remix collection Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Ones. Madonna recently discussed the making of “Hung Up” alongside Stuart Price on the Song Exploder podcast, giving fans a rare look into the creation of the chart-topping track.
Madonna most recently announced the long-awaited “Erotica” picture disc will finally see the light of day after a three-decade delay. Her groundbreaking fifth studio album, Erotica, will celebrate its 30th anniversary on October 20, 2022. In 1992, the album debuted at the top of charts around the world and has gone on to sell more than six million copies. To celebrate the anniversary, a limited edition 12” vinyl picture disc featuring the album’s title track is available now for pre-orders and set for release on October 21. Pre-order here.
Originally scheduled for release during the fall of 1992, the picture disc features a colorized version of the famous “toe sucking” photo taken from Madonna’s Sex book, which was released the same week as the Erotica album. However, the picture disc was cancelled unexpectedly just ahead of release, as the visual was considered too explicit for in-store display back then. The manufactured copies were promptly destroyed, with only a few finding their way into the public’s hands, only adding to the infamous allure of the release.
“Erotica” was the album’s first single and peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, where it spent 18 weeks on its way to earning gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). ““Erotica” was a major hit globally as well, topping the European Hot 100 Singles chart, climbing to #3 in the U.K., and was a Top Five hit in Australia and New Zealand.
“Erotica” also reached #1 in the U.S. on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs and Dance Single Sales charts. A remixed version of the track is included on Madonna’s latest album, Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Ones. Released in August, the career-spanning compilation was curated by Madonna in celebration of her historic achievement as the first and only recording artist to have 50 #1 hits on any single Billboard chart. In 2020, she topped the Dance Club Songs chart for the 50th time with “I Don’t Search I Find.”
Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Ones – available now on both streaming and physical formats – dominated album charts around the world following its release this summer. The album debuted at #1 on both the Billboard Top Album Sales and Top Current Album Sales charts. It peaked at #8 on the Billboard Top 200, making Madonna the first female artist with Top 10 albums on the Billboard 200 in each of the last five decades, adding another landmark achievement to her long list of accolades. The album also debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top Dance/Electronic Album and Vinyl Albums charts.
Madonna’s meteoric rise began in the New York club scene and she has perpetually kept her finger on the pulse of dance and club culture across five decades. She has continued to collaborate with the most cutting-edge artists and DJs to reimagine her groundbreaking hits. As a result, Madonna has now achieved more remix albums on the Billboard 200 than any other artist. Finally Enough Loveis also the highest charting remix album in over a decade.
50 Number Ones spans her entire dance club chart reign with dozens of remixes by the world’s top producers. In addition to fan favorites, the collection also includes a selection of rare remix recordings, with more than 20 being officially released for the first time or making their commercial/digital debut.

Continuing a massive year, history-making Brazilian global pop superstar Anitta serves up a sexy new single entitled “Lobby” with Missy Elliott. Listen to “Lobby” HERE and check out the video directed by ArradHERE.
The “Lobby” video made its broadcast premiere this morning on MTV Live, MTVU, MTV Biggest Pop and on the Paramount Times Square billboards. The track heralds the arrival of the Deluxe Edition of her critically acclaimed new album and Warner Records debut, Versions Of Me, on August 25.
Anitta initially teased “Lobby” with a clip on TikTok, inciting widespread anticipation from fans worldwide. On the track, a dancefloor-ready disco beat and thumping bassline give way to her instantly infectious chorus, “Kiss me from the roof to the lobby.” Meanwhile, the legendary Missy Elliott pulls up with a classic verse highlighted by quotable double entendre and her inimitable flow. Anitta drummed up excitement with an early Instagram post of her and Missy Elliott where she admitted, “I honestly can’t believe what’s happening right now.”
Earlier this month, she teased Versions of Me (Deluxe Edition) with the sizzling and seductive music video for the single “Gata.” In addition to trending on YouTube, it has already gathered over 4.5 million views and counting. Director Giovanni Bianco notably helmed the video.
Making headlines, Anitta garnered her career-first nomination for the MTV VMAs in the category of “Best Latin” for “Envolver.” She emerged as “the first Brazilian to be nominated for a solo project in the history of the VMAs.” Beyond the nod, she will make her “Envolver” broadcast performance premiere at the August 28 ceremony. Be sure to tune in!
Anitta has exceeded one benchmark after another during this historic year. She not only emerged as “the first female Brazilian solo act to perform at Coachella,” but she also earned a Guinness World Record as “the first Latin solo artist to reach #1 on the Spotify Daily Global 100” with “Envolver.” The latter also remains “the highest-charting single on the Billboard Hot 100 by a Brazilian soloist this century.”
Beyond nearing 1 billion streams, Versions of Me has incited unanimous critical applause. In a 4-out-of-5 star review, Rolling Stone hailed it as a “Bewitching global dance-floor experience,”and Stereogum summed it up best, “Anitta is coming for all of your awards.” With another 4-out-of-5 star rating, NME crowned it “a searingly ambitious affair from a star who knows exactly what she wants,” and Billboard proclaimed, “Versions of Me is both retrospective and reflective, where Anitta is nothing but an open book.”
Versions of Me has exploded as the ultimate global Latin music experience of 2022, and she’s about to unleash its definitive version next week.
In April, Anitta released Versions of Me to praise from the likes of The New York Times, and more. Following the album’s release, Anitta performed at Coachella where, as Variety proclaimed, she “wowed” the crowd with a 45-minute set that featured a “mind-boggling mixture of genres, emphasizing the Brazilian and Latin music that rose her to stardom.”

The platform contains a custom branded map containing 500 hotspots that superfan BLINKs can physically access to unlock exclusive digital content from the band. To complement the LIGHT UP THE PINK physical activation and celebrate the release of ‘Pink Venom’, the locations of the landmarks and billboards will be highlighted on a digital map as the structures are lit up. The experience is available in both English and Korean and accessible here.
Anticipation has been building for “Pink Venom” since BLACKPINK shared a series of visual teasers and a poster, which finds the K-pop icons staring through a pane of broken glass. The record will be followed by the arrival of BLACKPINK’s 2nd full album, BORN PINK, on September 16. Pre-order HERE. After that, the most popular girl group on the planet will hit the road on a world tour predicted to be attended by more than 1.5 million people. It kicks off in Seoul, South Korea, on October 15th and then visits the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore, among others, before landing in New Zealand on June 21, 2023. After releasing global hits like “How You Like That” and their collaboration with Selena Gomez, “Ice Cream,” BLACKPINK released THE ALBUM in 2020 to universal acclaim. The captivating project debuted at #2 on both the U.S. Billboard 200 and UK Official Chart, and sold more than 1.4 million copies worldwide, making BLACKPINK the first K-pop girl group to sell over a million units. With “Pink Venom” and BORN PINK, they are set to rewrite the record books all over again.
ne of the most massively successful K-pop groups in music history, BLACKPINK have redefined the global pop landscape since first bursting onto the scene in 2016. Along with boasting the #1 most-subscribed artist channel on YouTube, the South Korean quartet has achieved such boundary-defying milestones as scoring the highest-charting album by a female group in over a decade and becoming the first K-pop girl group ever to perform at Coachella (the largest music festival in the U.S.). Comprised of JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ and LISA—all immensely charismatic vocalists, dancers, and fast-rising fashion icons—BLACKPINK began their meteoric rise with their 2016 debut “SQUARE ONE” and further proved their crossover power with “SQUARE UP” (a 2018 release that quickly cracked the Billboard 200).
Soon after signing with Interscope Records through a global partnership with YG Entertainment, the group made their full-length debut with 2020’s immediately iconic THE ALBUM. THE ALBUM shot to #2 on the Billboard 200 and landed three singles on the Billboard Hot 100: “How You Like That” (the iconic single that shattered several YouTube records, including fastest video to cross 150 million views), “Ice Cream” (a collaboration with Selena Gomez that broke the record for highest-charting female K-pop group on the Hot 100), and “Lovesick Girls” (a track that’s sold over 1.4 million copies worldwide, making BLACKPINK the first K-pop girl group to sell over a million units). Through the years, BLACKPINK have also garnered a number of major awards (including an MTV Video Music Award for Song of the Summer as well as three E! People’s Choice Awards), collaborated with superstars like Dua Lipa and Lady Gaga, performed on “The Tonight Show,” and starred in BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky (a 2020 film hailed by the New York Times as an “endearing documentary that emphasizes each member’s individuality”). With over 6.3 billion career Spotify streams to date, BLACKPINK are now set to deliver their wildly anticipated sophomore album BORN PINK (due out September 16). Less than a month after BORN PINK arrives, the group will hit the road for their 2022/2023 world tour kicking off on October 15 in Seoul, South Korea.
