FACADE expresses varied emotions similar to how one would feel at a carnival. Feeling the joy and excitement of a carnival, experiencing various feelings during a rollercoaster ride, briefly forgetting about the reality while on a merry-go-round, witnessing a newfound world during a parade – all of these diverse emotions are conveyed through this album. Wonho elaborates; “One gets to experience an array of emotions at a carnival. And I tried to portray them through ‘Facade.’ Just as you feel like you’re in a different world when at a carnival, wouldn’t it be nice to be trapped in that moment if you could continue to feel the countless emotions you get when we’re together?”

FACADE opens up with, INTRO: 9 AM,” the time that marks the start of the carnival, and the last track OUTRO: 9PM” is the time that marks the end. Lead track CRAZY is the centerpiece of the album that best represents ‘Facade.’ This funky dance track features various musical arrangements that make this song explode with energy. The music video for CRAZY” features Wonho diving deep into the world of dancing. While crossing between the world of dancing and reality, Wonho becomes more and more immersed in dancing and ultimately opens the door that leads to the world of ‘the end of the dance.’

Seventeen – Face the Sun

K-pop stage-breakers SEVENTEEN are back with their 4th studio album Face the Sun.

Seventeen unveils medley

K-pop stage-breakers SEVENTEEN unveiled their highlight medley today, providing a glimpse into the 9 tracks on the act’s 4th studio album Face the Sun ahead of its arrival on May 27. 

The highlight medley opens with “Darl+ing,” the band’s first-ever English song released last month in advance. It soon segues into a highlight from the lead single “HOT,” a hip-hop based track that encapsulates a riveting listen into the band’s dedication and passion for the path they are on. 

The medley then unpacks the dynamic sonic profile of the 7 remaining tracks, seamlessly transitioning from one genre to another. All 13 members make an appearance across various backdrops and sets, singing along to the rock-infused “DON QUIXOTE,” “March,” the pop sounds of “Domino,” “Shadow,” the mellow vocals of “‘bout you,” “IF you leave me,” before closing to the trap beats of the final track “Ash.” 

SEVENTEEN will showcase live performances of selected tracks during their comeback show at 7 PM KST on May 28. As anticipation peaks, Face the Sun passed the 2 million pre-order sales mark a week ahead of its release, reaching an all-time high for the band. 

The K-pop performance powerhouse also recently signaled their grand return to the concert stage after 2 years and 4 months, announcing ‘SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [BE THE SUN].’ SEVENTEEN will kick off the tour on June 25 with two consecutive dates in Seoul, followed by shows in 12 North American cities. More shows are expected to be added to the list, including cities in Asia and a Japan Dome Tour.

K-pop stage-breakers SEVENTEEN just dropped their first English language single “Darl+ing” at midnight ET. Arriving ahead of their full-length album to be released in May, the single opens a new, heartfelt chapter in the band’s story. 

Built on a sweet-sounding but addictive chorus and an enthralling line of synths, “Darl+ing” is an eloquent expression of the 13-piece act’s admiration for the idea of ‘togetherness’. Like many of their previous hits, “Darl+ing” is also a self-produced track. The leader of the band’s vocal unit WOOZI took part in producing the single, credited for both its lyrics and composition.

A cinematic depiction of a new chapter in SEVENTEEN’s journey, the accompanying music video is packed with ethereal aesthetics and hints about stories to follow. The video shows the thirteen members traverse past an idyllic world that overflows with light and venture into a state of darkness, piquing curiosity around the forthcoming full-length album.

As global fans welcome their highly anticipated return, the K-pop superstars are slated to present their very first performance of “Darl+ing” at 5 PM ET today on MTV Fresh Out Live.

SEVENTEEN’s collaborative project with Apple is also being launched in time for the release. The K-pop creatives and Apple embarked on the first K-pop Today at Apple Remix session today in Korea. During the 60-minute sessions to be held initially in Apple stores in Korea and then across Asia, attendees will discover more about the band’s creative process and be guided to create a one-of-a-kind remix of “Darl+ing” using GarageBand and Apple’s devices.

K-pop stage-breakers SEVENTEEN shared a sneak peek at their first English language single “Darl+ing” with a set of concept photos and a trailer for the single.

In the first set of concept photos released at midnight on April 9 (KST), JOSHUA, JUN, THE 8, MINGYU, VERNON and DINO cast an affectionate gaze against vibrant backdrops of warm, soft-hued colors. Revealed a day earlier, a trailer for the single featured a sunlit wall that appears to be filled with messages of love and photos of memories with a loved one, accompanied by a heartwarming instrumental track. Additional concept photos are expected to follow in the days leading up to the release at midnight on April 15 (ET). 

Arriving ahead of their full-length album to debut in May, the 13-member act’s first English-language single will serve as a prelude to SEVENTEEN‘s heartfelt stories for their fans, CARATs, around the world. The title poster unveiled earlier disclosed the title of the upcoming single to be “Darl+ing,” stylized with the addition of a plus sign to the affectionate term used to address a beloved.

As global fans count down the days to the release, the K-pop creatives also recently announced a collaborative project with Apple. In celebration of the new single release and Apple’s new store opening in Korea, SEVENTEEN and Apple will debut the first-ever K-pop Today at Apple Remix session which spotlights “Darl+ing.” Remix session attendees will discover more about the band’s creative process and be guided to create a one-of-a-kind remix of the new track using GarageBand and Apple’s devices. (G)I-DLE released their first full album, I NEVER DIE with the title track, “TOMBOY.” The album contains (G)I-DLE‘s feelings and thoughts on not only the prejudice against themselves but on all the world. The band’s newest album also catapulted to No. 1 on the World Albums Chart and No. 2 on the Top Album Sales and Top Current Album Sales Charts. The lead single “Blessed-Cursed” came in at No. 14 on the World Digital Song Sales Chart and the band themselves re-entered the Artist 100 at No. 13.

DIMENSION : ANSWER, the repackaged version of the septet’s previously released certified platinum album DIMENSION : DILEMMA, became a certified gold album with over 510,000 copies sold within a week after its release on January 10. It also ruled the iTunes Top Album Chart in 10 countries/regions and topped Japan’s Oricon Daily and Weekly Album Charts.

Its lead single “Blessed-Cursed,” which wowed audiences with the band’s flawlessly synchronized performance, also peaked on the iTunes Top Songs Chart in 9 countries/regions immediately upon release and took the top spot on Bugs, one of Korea’s major music charts.
