Kiwi.Tabasco Announces Fifth Studio Release, ‘LaCroix n Crunk’

Earlier this week, Kiwi.Tabasco released her fifth studio album, “LaCroix n Crunk.” The cosmic house anthology includes 10 out-of-this-world tracks featuring the futuristic melodies fans expect from her. It’s a sound that she has branded as “cosmic funk.”

“Imagine an alien was chilling at a picnic on the beach,” Kiwi.Tabasco joked, describing the first track, “Vanilla Drop.” “All inspiration has a reference point, and mine happens to be the wonders of outer space. So if these radio waves reach the next dimension, beam me up Scotty.”

The description is fitting, as her album is very much a sci-fi groove. The transient chords and heart-charging beats are as perfect for the nightlife scene as they are for the next big action feature film.

Like many other Producer DJs, Kiwi.Tabasco has spent the last few months performing for neighbors from the balcony of her 17th floor Miami apartment and for social media followers. Fans were first introduced to the new music at a live-streamed album release party on Aug. 8.

“This project is most special to me as it reaffirms my musical voice,” said Kiwi.Tabasco. “I have settled into my style and believe it’s sophisticated and distinguished. Immediately any fan can hear and know this is a Kiwi Beat.”

Kiwi.Tabasco describes herself as a self-taught producer. She released her first album, “X Factor: The Age of Tron” in 2018. Since then she’s performed at Beats on the Beach, Brewdokon at Safety Harbour, and The Warrior Women’s Retreat of Miami. Now she’s setting her sights on the types of artists she’d like to collaborate with in the near future.

“I’m not a rapper but my beats got bars,” she said. “If I were a rapper the flow would in the area of Busta Rhymes, Eminem, Missy Elliot, Red Man and Method Man, Lil Wanye, Kanye or Nicki Minaj. I don’t make beats with room for a chorus – 32 bars straight through. Give me fire round for round.”

In sync with her new album, she’s launched the LaCroix n Crunk Show, a livestreamed DJ set paired with her signature cocktails and home-cooked cuisine. This year also marks the debut of Conversations with Kiwi, a podcast that features her music and comedic musings.

“LaCroix n Crunk” is available now, streaming on all digital music platforms including Apple Music, Spotify and SoundCloud. Follow Kiwi.Tabasco on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok

Chivea Brown

Chivea Brown

Pioneering artist, Chivea Brown, is originally from Jamaica. From when he was very young, he’s been pursuing his dream of becoming a foundational Dj, but he had to put his career on pause because he didn’t have a producer to work with. In fact, most of the producers he knows were demanding too much money and he couldn’t meet ends meat. However, life is working in favor of his pinnacle because of his Nephew “Rash”; he’s the one who’s responsible for all of his productions. Rash may not have the most experience, but together they’re growing as a team, making records very professionally and timely.

Concerning his focus, Chivea’s objective genre is “dancehall,” but don’t be surprised if there’s a crossover to other genres occasionally. He’s open to working with anyone who’s vibrating on the same energy field as he is. Chivea is willing to collaborate with others across the world so he and others can enjoy doing what they do best and earn a living simultaneously.

Says Kygo, “I couldn’t be more excited to collaborate with Tina Turner, who is an icon that I grew up listening to. ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It’ is one of my all-time favorite songs so to have a chance to rework it has been a very special moment in my career. I love working around timeless vocals and although it’s challenging to preserve elements of the original track and adding my own touch, I’m extremely happy with how it turned out!” It’s been a big summer for Kygo who back in May released his critically acclaimed third full-length album Golden Hour  which features his hit single  “Lose Somebody” with OneRepublic as well as “Higher Love” with Whitney Houston, the latter of which has more than 651 million audio and video streams combined and charted at Top 40 radio. Kygo kicked off his album release day with performances of “Lose Somebody” with OneRepublic and “The Truth” with Valerie Broussard on Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series and will be performing on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon with OneRepublic on July 22nd.

Whether behind the piano in his studio or headlining a sold-out festival, Kygo quietly reaffirms his status as a prodigious talent, forward-thinking producer, dynamic DJ, and influential global superstar. He emerged as Spotify’s “Breakout Artist of 2015” powered by “Firestone” [feat Conrad Sewell] and “Stole the Show” [feat. Parson James]—certified gold or platinum in sixteen countries. These smashes cemented him as “the fastest artist to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify.” Kygo earned one of his biggest hits with the multiplatinum “It Ain’t Me” [feat. Selena Gomez], going Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 and clocking nearly 1 billion Spotify streams.

He maintained his momentum on the Stargazing EP and second album, Kids In Love. The ensuing Kids In Love Tour canvased four continents and sold out arenas. He ignited “Remind Me To Forget” [feat. Miguel] with 812 million total combined streams and views. Other collaborations include mega-hits with U2, Imagine Dragons, The Chainsmokers, Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, and Chelsea Cutler. He heralded his 2020 third full-length album Golden Hour [Sony Music International/Ultra Records/RCA Records] with the anthems “Like It Is” [with Zara Larsson & Tyga] and “I’ll Wait” [with Sasha Sloan]. Now, Golden Hour signals Kygo’s brightest moment yet.

Her music legacy is a collection of some of the best-known songs of all time, just utter the phrase “You’re simply the best” you’d be hard-pressed to find a person who doesn’t know the next line! A solo career ensued…In 1977, she went back on stage touring rigorously, then in November 1983, she released a cover of Al Green’s ‘Let’s Stay Together’ which became a hit. In June 1984 she released the ‘Private Dancer’ album and it’s second single ‘What’s Love Got to Do with It’ became a global smash as did the album.

From there, Tina became, and continues to be, one of the most loved artists in the world and this incredible career continues to build. In March 2018, ‘Tina’ – The Tina Turner Musical, opened at London’s Aldwych Theatre to amass acclaim with Radio 4’s Front Row calling it “One of the most impressive musicals I’ve ever seen” and The Times saying it is a “… raw musical triumph”. A story that needs to be shared, especially today,” and Billboard saying, “The powerhouse voice, jackhammer legs, and above all, the heart.

Not to be missed.” Her memoirs, ‘Tina Turner: My Love Story’, released in October 2018, was also met with a similar adulation, “Turner comes across as courageous, optimistic, big-hearted and generous” (Sunday Times), “Astonishing, soul-baring – the must-read memoir by rock’s greatest survivor” (Daily Mail) it also made the Mail On Sunday’s Books Of The Year list for 2018.
