OFFICIAL VISUAL STREAMING NOW

U.S. HEADLINE TOUR KICKS OFF NOVEMBER 28 IN PHILADELPHIA, PA

UK/Irish trio New Rules have debuted new single “Late In The Evening.” Written by Jamie Scott (One Direction, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran) and co-produced by the band, the heartfelt track arrives alongside an official visual, which made its broadcast premiere today on MTV Live, MTVU and MTV Biggest Pop. The visual is streaming now on the band’s YouTube channel. “Late In The Evening” is available now on all streaming platforms via Elektra.

The group expanded on the track, “Late in the Evening’ feels like a timeless record. The idea of desperately trying to win someone back turned into an anthem is something we can’t wait to hear our fans screaming back at us.”

Later this month, the trio will head out on a U.S. headline tour, which kicks off November 28 in Philadelphia, PA and hits New York City’s famed Bowery Ballroom on December 1 before concluding in Atlanta, GA on December 7 (tour itinerary below). Tickets for all dates are available now. For up-to-date ticketing information, please visit www.newrulesband.com

This summer, New Rules released Go The Distance (Extended Version), available now via Elektra. The extended mixtape includes stripped-down versions of “Go The Distance” and “Love You Like That” and live offerings of “Drunk Texts” and “Lucky Me.” The offering also arrived alongside a live video for “Lucky Me,” which is streaming now on the band’s official YouTube channel.

In June, the group shared their debut mixtape Go The Distance, which racked up praise from PEOPLE Magazine, who named the trio one of their Emerging Artists To Watch. Rolling Stone UK applauded the mixtape’s “pop-driven earworms,” while Sweety High attested New Rules are “going places.” The band celebrated the release with their intimate “New Songs For New People” debut U.S. headline shows, which included sold-out performances at New York City’s Mercury Lounge and The Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles. New Rules also performed two sold-out hometown shows in Dublin, Ireland and London, UK in August.

The mixtape was heralded by title track “Go The Distance,” produced by Sir Nolan [Selena Gomez, Tate McRae, Shawn Mendes] and co-produced and co-written with Kieran Shudall of Circa Waves. The single, which bounces between a slick bass line, handclaps, and glossy synths, is accompanied by an official lyric video on the band’s official YouTube channel.

Last fall, the group announced their signing to Elektra and shared new singles “Really Wanna Dance With You” and “Cheers.” The tracks racked up praise, with Sweety High celebrating the “catchy chorus and beat that’s impossible to resist,” of “Really Wanna Dance With You” while Wonderland Magazine attested “New Rules are set to become the next big thing.” Entirely written and co-produced by the band, the group’s 2022 name songs EP ignited a flurry of activity on TikTok.

About New Rules:

For New Rules, three guitars and three voices converge upon one stadium-size sound. The London-based trio – Alec McGarry, Nathan Lambert, and Ryan Meaney – elevate pop to the rafters fueled by singer-songwriter soul, rock n’ roll spirit, and a whole lot of personality. With Ryan from Ireland, Alec from Hertfordshire, and Nathan from Chelmsford, the boys initially met online, bonding over similar backgrounds playing music on street corners, uploading covers online, and penning original material. The musicians congregated in London and introduced New Rules with “Call It” and “Fix Somebody” during 2019. Beyond hitting the road with Julia Michaels, Little Mix, and Picture This, they’ve sold out successive headline tours. Following the viral success of “Pasta” and “Emily,” they caught the attention of Elektra Records and signed to the label in 2021. This summer, the trio released their debut mixtape Go The Distance, which racked up praise from PEOPLE Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone UK, and more, in addition to selling out UK shows and their first-ever U.S. dates earlier this year.

Matteo Bocelli × Close

Singer/songwriter Matteo Bocelli rang in the new year with a brand new single and video of “Close.” Bocelli’s sensitive and passionate nature is encapsulated through “Close,” where he proclaims, “it feels like heaven when I hold ya/so I will never let you go/and when the worlds too much to shoulder/just keep me close close close close.” Listen HERE.

The music video for the new single was shot at the 2000-year-old Arena di Verona in Italy. This iconic Roman amphitheater has seen other noteworthy artists perform there, such as, Paul McCartney, One Direction and Maria Callas. The historic location for the heartfelt song that is “Close” sends off an eternal essence. Throughout the video, Bocelli roams the streets of Italy and plays with his band. Watch the music video HERE.

Matteo Bocelli spoke on the track, stating, “I had the pleasure of writing ‘Close’ with Stuart Crichton and Wrabel this past year. This was such a fun song to write. I love the upbeat tempo and vibrant melody. I hope it brings some happiness and maybe even the urge to let loose and dance a little bit, just as it does for me! After enduring so much time apart from friends and family over the last couple of years, I would love for this song to become a hymn of hope.”

Bocelli will be featured on The Kelly Clarkson Show on this upcoming Thursday, January 20, where he will be performing. Bocelli, the son of opera icon Andrea Bocelli, was a special guest for his fathers U.S. arena tour. The tour has seen two Madison Square Garden shows and returns back on February 20 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

This artist finished out the year of 2021 with a showing of his single “Solo” on December 31 on Good Morning America. Like the music video setting for “Close,” Bocelli also gave a renowned performance of “Solo” from Arena di Verona, watch HERE. Before appearing on GMA, Bocelli gave a series of performances in 2021 while appearing on the PBS special In Performance at the White House: Spirit of the Season, TODAY, and CNN”s New Year’s Eve Special.

About Matteo Bocelli

Matteo Bocelli’s career began at the mere age of six when he first learned how to play the piano. His first stage appearance came when he was 18, while he sang Verdi at the Rome Colosseum. You may even remember him from Andrea Bocelli’s 2018 “Fall on Me,” where his impeccable vocals and piano skills were highlighted. Now graduating from the Conservatory of Lucca in Tuscany, Bocelli tours the world and captivates audiences with his melodic gift.

Zhu × John the Blind – Monster

Zhu unveils new single, Monster, in collaboration with John the Blind.

Grammy-nominated artist Zhu teams up with acclaimed singer/songwriter/producer John The Blind on the new single, Monster, released today via Astralwerks. A stunning departure from Zhu’s dusky signature sound, the track is a sparkling, straight-up celebration of unconditional love.

“I fell in love when you recognized my darkness/Made friends with all my monsters/And you still wanna stay, still wanna stay,” sings John, who takes the lead on vocals, with harmonies and a soulful falsetto closing from Zhu. The two artists produced and performed the track together, with Zhu on bass and John on guitar.

“I wanted to create a summer anthem for the kids who are finally able to go out,” says Zhu.

John The Blind – also known as John Ryan – released isolation, his first full-length album, earlier this year. His vocals have been heard on tracks by Pitbull, Brass Knuckles, and DJ Snake. A multi-Platinum songwriter and producer, he is also known for his work with One Direction, Maroon 5, John Legend, and others.

Tickets go on sale today for Zhu’s October 10 and 11 shows at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre and his November 24 and 26 dates at Avant Gardner in Brooklyn. Zhu will perform a unique show each night. Shiba San will join as a special guest on all dates. Zhu will also be performing at numerous 2021 festivals, including ARC, III Points, Electric Daisy Carnival, and Outside Lands.

In May, ZHU played an unprecedented sold-out, six-night run at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO. Westword said, “dancing came easy to the beats of Zhu, who is as ultra-cool as musicians get and wildly talented, bringing in house music that could score a buzzed drive down Sunset Boulevard.” EDM.com praised his “epic, snow-covered return to Red Rocks,” while HITS Daily Double praised Zhu’s performance as “equal parts mesmerizing and invigorating – a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”

Fresh off the release of his third studio album, Dreamland 2021, Zhu is featured on the cover of the July issue of DJ Mag. Hailing Dreamland 2021 as among the “50 Best Albums of 2021 So Far,” Billboard said, “oscillating between fuzzy, pulsing house (Sweet Like Honey) and spooky, ultra-low BPM, piano-laden meanders through the underworld (I Need That) the sonics are varied but the ambiance is consistently shadowy, falling also into the aural lineage of Zhu’s two previous LPs.” The Los Angeles Times observed, “it’s a record about profoundly missing the club and the shot at connection it offers.”

In an interview with the Times’ August Brown, Zhu talks about the album, the return to live entertainment and his experience as one of the most prominent Asian American musicians working today.

Alongside his music, Zhu has passionately pursued his interest in fashion, playing an essential part in the design of his fashion-forward merch. He is dropping new merchandise from his highly anticipated SUMMER OF DREAMLAND series each Thursday at 10:00 AM PT. The collection includes slides, kimonos, a sequined bomber, a tactical vest and a wrench pendant in addition to bucket hats, t-shirts, socks and hoodies – all in Zhu’s trademark colors, black and orange.

Harry Styles illustrated by Kaelen Felix for 360 MAGAZINE

Harry Styles × Vogue

By Cassandra Yany

Harry Styles made history Friday as the first male to grace the cover of US Vogue. Styles defies gender stereotypes in the fashion magazine, which has become a point of controversy on social media in the days following its reveal.

On the cover of the December issue, Styles is photographed in a field wearing a pale blue, lace Gucci dress. He is featured wearing different skirts a number of times throughout the spread.

“Clothes are there to have fun with and experiment with and play with,” Styles says in the cover story. “What’s really exciting is that all of these lines are just kind of crumbling away. When you take away ‘There’s clothes for men and there’s clothes for women,’ once you remove any barriers, obviously you open up the arena in which you can play. I’ll go in shops sometimes, and I just find myself looking at the women’s clothes thinking they’re amazing.”

While most fans took to social media to praise the artist for his redefinition of gender norms in the shoot, some public figures shared their distaste for the photoshoot and Styles’ stereotypically feminine attire.

Coservative author and political activist Candace Owens quote-tweeted Vogue’s post promoting the cover story, saying “There is no society that can survive without strong men. The East knows this. In the west, the steady feminization of our men at the same time that Marxism is being taught to our children is not a coincidence. It is an outright attack. Bring back manly men.”

Styles’ supporters quickly called out Candace, posting TikTok videos of her wearing a pantsuit, citing her hypocrisy. Actress and filmmaker Olivia Wilde responded to Owens’ tweet with a simple, “You’re pathetic.” Styles is set to star in Wilde’s upcoming film Don’t Worry Darling.

Conservative political commentator Ben Shapiro had a similar reaction to that of Owens, saying “Outward indicators of masculinity and femininity exist in nearly every human culture. Boys are taught to be more masculine in nearly every human culture because the role of men is not always the same as the role of women. The Left knows this, of course. The POINT of style doing this photo shoot is to feminize masculinity.”

One of the most recent celebrities to jump to Harry’s defense has been internet personality Logan Paul. On the latest episode of his podcast “Impaulsive,” Paul showed his respect for Styles in his effort to challenge social norms. When his co-hosts questioned his stance on the issue and the “manliness” of the dress, Paul said “What is manly to you? What does it mean? Is manly like being comfortable in your own skin and being comfortable with who you are, regardless of what people think about what you’re wearing?”

On social media platforms like Twitter and TikTok, it is evident that more users praise Styles than criticize him for his bold statement in the cover. Many argue that fashion choices do not define a person’s identity. Despite his detractors, Styles remains one of the biggest names in pop culture and it doesn’t look like his widespread admiration is going anywhere with his first solo single “Sign of the Times” just re-entering the Top 100 US chart on iTunes.

Icona Pop – Feels In My Body

Global chart-topping duo Icona Pop are back following their 2020 smash collaborations with heavyweights Steve Aoki and Hayden James, this time with another banger called “Feels In My Body,” which is out now via RECORD COMPANY TEN/ULTRA Music. The song also comes paired with a music video, shot by director Gustav Stegfors and acclaimed Director of Photography, Crille Forsberg (David Bowie, Adele, ZAYN). Watch HERE

Speaking about their new feel good-summer jam, Icona Pop’s Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo reveal, “Feels In My Body is all about hitting your peak, being so full of energy that you want to burst and share it with everyone around you.”

Listen to “Feels In My Body” HERE.

“Feels In The Body” follows two massive collaborations this year for Icona Pop, including “Right Time,” with Australian producer and songwriter Hayden James, which Rolling Stone said “captures the feeling of the dance floor during this time of isolation,” and “I Love My Friends,” the lead single off Steve Aoki’s recent album, Neon Future IV.

Swedish chart-topping duo Icona Pop continue to slay since their 2013 full-length debut, This Is… Icona Pop, which garnered critical acclaim from the likes of Pitchfork and Rolling Stone as the duo performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Today Show, Good Morning America, and America’s Got Talent in addition to featuring on the iconic HBO series Girls and a popular Saturday Night Live sketch. They canvased the globe on sold out tours with Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, and One Direction and joined Tiësto for the banger “Let’s Go” in 2014. Along the way, the duo has performed alongside everyone from Avicii to The Chainsmokers as well as gracing the stages of Ultra, Tomorrowland, Mark Ronson’s Club Heartbreak, and more. Since then, they have consistently filled the gap in music when it comes to upbeat, carefree, quality dance-pop.

Last year, the girls DJ’d across Europe, Asia and North America as well as released a string of bangers including their Yves V and Afrojack collaboration for “We Got That Cool.” In addition, IconaPop continued their message of inclusivity, self-acceptance and positivity on the road for their WorldPride tour, culminating with a show-stopping performance at Stockholm Pride that included a special appearance from Sporty Spice herself, Melanie C.

WATCH HERE

HEARTBREAK WEATHER, HORAN’S NEW ALBUM, IS OUT NOW

Boss Baby Brody – the four-year-old boy who went viral when his mom posted a clip of him dancing to “The Nutcracker” – takes on Niall Horan’s “No Judgement” in a new video, which premiered today. View HERE Brody, also known as “Tiny Dancer” and “Baby Fosse,” was named “Dancer of the Week” by The Radio City Rockettes and has earned praise from “Good Morning America,” and numerous other media outlets.

The joyful clip – directed by Kanya McMahon, who also helmed Horan’s “Heartbreak Weather” video – depicts an average day at the Schaffer family household. When Boss Baby Brody and his sister Dylan grow bored watching TV, they venture into their parents’ walk-in closet, where they find costumes and dance with abandon to Horan’s “No Judgement.” Soon mom Danielle and dad Bobby join in the fun. When brothers Jackson and Roman arrive home, it becomes a full-on family dance party.

The lyrics to “No Judgement” read like a family anthem to the Schaffer’s, who are longtime fans of Horan, and they felt inspired to offer up their take on the track. When you’re with me, no judgement You can get that from anyone else You don’t have to prove nothin’ You can just be yourself The original video for “No Judgement” celebrates the unconditional love between an elderly couple, with Horan serving as narrator. MTV News hailed it as “a quirky, charming, kinda gross love story.” View HERE.

“No Judgement,” which has already racked up 55 million combined streams worldwide, is from Horan’s new album, Heartbreak Weather, available HERE. Heartbreak Weather came in at No. 1 on the NPR “All Songs Considered” list of the week’s top 10 new albums. Newsweek said, “‘Nice to Meet Ya’ and ‘No Judgement’ are suave works of seduction…[while] ‘Put a Little Love on Me’ is a tender, piano-focused ballad.” Stereogum observed, “The Forecast Is Improving For Niall Horan.” American Songwriter noted, “Horan guns right for the eye of heartbreak’s storm…He feels the sting quite viscerally, yet instead of writhing around in his misery, he fashions his acoustic guitar in new smoldering settings or opts to dance it out into the wee hours of the morning.”
