Mötley Crüe – Shout at the Devil Remastered

Legendary rock band Mötley Crüe continues their 40th anniversary celebration with the release of the digital remaster of their iconic album Shout At The Devil. Hits such as “Looks That Kill,” “Too Young To Fall In Love,” and title track “Shout At The Devil” are amplified on this version of the band’s breakthrough album. Selling over 200,000 copies in the first two weeks, Shout At The Devil established Mötley Crüe as one of the top selling rock acts of the 1980s.

Released in September 1983, the band’s second studio album reached #17 on the Billboard 200. With two of its singles charting on the Billboard Hot 100, Shout At The Devil also featured a cover of The Beatles’ 1968 song “Helter Skelter.” Moving over 4 million copies in the US, the album is now certified 4x Platinum in the US, 3x Platinum in Canada and Gold in Australia. Most recently, Rolling Stone magazine ranked the album #44 in its list of “The 100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time” in 2017. See the album’s full tracklisting below and listen to the digital remaster of Shout At The Devil HERE

Mötley Crüe’s 40th anniversary celebrations will culminate with the digital remaster of their album Too Fast For Love, releasing exactly 40 years to the original release date of November 10, 1981. The remaster is now available for pre-order and pre-save HERE. Their debut album was recorded at Hit City West Studios and made available via their own label Leathür Records. Eventually reaching Platinum status in the US and charting on the Billboard 200, the album was ranked #22 on Rolling Stone’s “The 100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time.”

The new remasters join the recently released digital remasters of Dr. Feelgood, Girls, Girls, Girls and Theatre of Pain, which kicked off the band’s 40th anniversary celebrations earlier this year.

The recently launched Mötley Crüe 101 Spotify Playlist includes hits from the band’s entire discography. It gives new and existing fans a comprehensive guide to the band’s iconic musical legacy, taking them on a celebratory sonic journey for this special anniversary. LISTEN NOW.

Where to Find Inspiration for Your Daughter’s Birthday Gifts

Why is buying gifts for the people we love (and know the best) so difficult? Perhaps it’s the pressure or maybe we’re worried about buying something that they won’t like? Finding the right present for your daughter is one of those times where we seem to lose focus of what they like and dislike and wonder how we’re going to find the right gift in time.

In reality, the perfect gift for your little one is easy to determine, once you know where to get your inspiration. Whether you need toys for 8 year old girls, or something cool and quirky for your tween, in this post we’ll explore where you can find inspiration for your daughter’s birthday gifts. Read on to find out more.

Take a Look at Their Hobbies

You don’t have to look far to find the perfect gift when you consider the topics that they’re passionate about. Whether they’re into horses and visit a pony club at the weekends, or they’re an avid dancer, wannabe actress, bookworm or gamer ask yourself if there is something you can treat them with that will enhance their skills and make their hobbies much more interesting, such as singing lessons, a dance event or a short story writing class. Or maybe you could spoil them with new equipment or attire for their hobbies? A new bag, shoes or boots, sports equipment, or a new gaming platform? The possibilities are endless!

Take A Look At Their Personal Style

If your child is a little older and already making their own fashion choices and choosing what to wear by themselves, then it might be time to use this as inspiration for their next birthday gift. Maybe they’re into hair accessories and bags right now, or they’re into jewellery and want to get their ears pierced? Skating apparel, sports logos, or something bright and colourful – take a look at their personal wardrobe favourites and use it as gift inspiration!

Remember Their Dislikes!

While it’s important to recognise your child’s favourite hobbies, interests and the things that they love, it’s just as important to focus on their dislikes! Maybe they hate a specific colour or material or perhaps they’re not particularly interested in technology, or they prefer graphic novels over traditional printed books. This information can help you steer clear of any gifts that won’t be well received and save you from making some expensive mistakes!

Do They Need Something?

A gift doesn’t have to be something novel or something they’ll find interesting for a short period. It could be something that they actually need! Ask yourself if they have enough dolls and soft toys and maybe something different might be better. Perhaps they’re having sleepovers with friends and they need a new sleeping bag, or maybe they’re heading up to secondary school and a laptop or tablet would help them with their school work?

Final Thoughts…

You’ll find the inspiration you need for gifts everywhere – if you know where to look! Consider these points above to get it right for your daughter.

AdventureWomen Partners with African Wildlife Foundation

AdventureWomen, a by-women, for-women adventure travel company, has announced that they are partnering with the African Wildlife Foundation, an organization that supports the conservation of Africa’s wildlife and environment through community development, sustainability projects, education initiatives and more. As part of the collaboration, leaders from the two organizations will be hosting a special women’s safari to Zimbabwe in May of 2022.

Joining the trip will be AdventureWomen’s owner Judi Wineland, a longtime conservationist and adventure travel pioneer; and Carter Smith, AWF safari program manager and author of the children’s book African Tea. Joining Judi and Carter will be several other visionary women including Olivia Mufute, the first female Chief Ecologist at the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority and the current Zimbabwe country director for AWF; and Sharon Stead, founder of the Mother Africa Trust, which supports female-focused projects throughout Zimbabwe.

Both AdventureWomen and the African Wildlife Foundation believe in empowering girls and women throughout the continent, and this shared mission will be weaved into many aspects of the trip. A highlight of the journey will be a dinner hosted by Aunt Flatter, a Zimbabwe local with decades of wisdom about the country.

“At African Wildlife Foundation, we believe that women in Africa have a critical role to play in conservation on the continent,” says Carter Smith. “That’s why I’m so excited about AWF’s budding partnership with AdventureWomen, and honored to participate in this beautifully crafted safari with Judi Wineland. The Zimbabwe safari will feature women ambassadors, travelers, and conservation heroes. We can’t wait for this inspiring adventure.”

The trip will include once-in-a-lifetime experiences, including a visit to the majestic Victoria Falls, a walking safari to try to spot incredibly rare white rhinos, and a sunset cruise along the Zambezi River. Participants will also have the opportunity to visit the Lupani Primary School in Kazungula, Zambia (across the country border, nearby Victoria Falls). The school was rebuilt as an initiative of the African Wildlife Foundation’s Classroom Africa program, providing a safe learning environment for children across seven grades.

“We are thrilled to partner with AWF,” says Judi Wineland, whose philanthropic work in Africa began with her founding a Tanzania-based non-profit 25 years ago. “By inviting participants to foster female-to-female connections, we hope this trip will continue to bolster AWF and bring awareness to their incredible work.”

NCAA LGBTQ OneTeam

NCAA LGBTQ OneTeam facilitators publish open letter condemning anti-transgender legislation

The NCAA LGBTQ OneTeam, a group of NCAA- trained facilitators at colleges across the country published an open letter condemning the actions taken by 28 states across the country to introduce, pass, and sign anti-transgender legislation. 2021 has been a record year for anti-transgender legislation, with 93 anti-transgender bills introduced across the country, the vast majority of which attempt to ban transgender women and girls’ participation in girls’ sports or ban transgender youth from accessing medically necessary, gender-affirming health care.

Laws have been signed banning transgender women and girls’ participation in girls’ sports in Mississippi, Tennessee, and Arkansas, with Executive Orders being signed to the same effect in South Dakota.  Legislators across the country have failed to provide examples of issues in their states to attempt to justify these attacks, laying bare the reality that these are attacks on transgender youth that are fueled by discrimination and not supported by fact.  Collegiate and professional sports organizations have had trans-inclusive policies for years without incident, and there is no reason any state would need a ban on transgender participation in sports.

The NCAA LGBTQ OneTeam open letter reads as follows:

An Open Letter in Support of Transgender Student-Athletes

We, the undersigned, are facilitators of the National Collegiate Athletics Association’s (NCAA)Division III LGBTQ OneTeam Program, which is a national training program that fosters LGBTQ+ inclusion in NCAA Division III athletics, and members of the NCAA’s Division III LGBTQ Working Group. Given the recent rise in legislation that is focused on excluding transgender people from athletics across the country, we have decided to use our collective voice to condemn such actions. We call on elected officials across the country to immediately halt legislation that is aimed at excluding transgender youth and young adults from equal and equitable participation in sport.

In our role with the NCAA’s LGBTQ OneTeam Program, we train coaches, athletics administrators, and student-athletes across the whole of Division III athletics. This program is aimed at helping to understand the importance of LGBTQ inclusion in college athletics, while also identifying strategies and best practices for institutions and conferences to better ensure that all student-athletes–regardless of their sexuality, gender identity, and/or gender expression–can participate in an inclusive and safe athletic climate. We cannot, in good conscience, fail to speak out at this critical moment.

In the past several weeks, actions–which are aimed at excluding transgender youth and young adults from equal and equitable participation in sport–have been taken by elected officials inseveral states, including Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and West Virginia. At the time of this writing, the Governors ofArkansas,Idaho,Mississippi, andTennessee have already signed such dangerous legislation into law.

Legislation aimed at categorically banning transgender people–and particularly transgender girls and women–from sport is inherently discriminatory. Such legislation is often “informed” by hate and misinformation rather than science, and it is most certainly “informed” byfear instead of fact. Conversely, trans-inclusive policies, such as those established by theNCAA and theInternational Olympic Committee (IOC), are better informed by the current scientific evidence, and this evidence shows that transgender women do not have an inherent competitive advantage over cisgender women.

Furthermore, discriminatory legislation that is aimed at excluding transgender people from sport has a number ofserious consequences for transgender students. Such legislation dehumanizes transgender students, refuses them the opportunity to participate equally and equitably in athletics, undermines their support in educational settings, damages their mental health, and ultimately harms these students, while also contributing to an exclusionary athletic environment and a more hostile school climate for all students.

We immediately call for 1) an end to such legislation in all states and 2) a repeal of such laws in Arkansas, Idaho, Mississippi, and Tennessee. And finally, we also encourage our legislators to better consider theNCAA best practices and importance of an inclusive athletic environment for all student-athletes.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned

8 Best Barefoot Shoes for Kids for Exploring the Outdoors

When it comes to the right footwear for kids, there are a lot of differing opinions on the same topic, but for children learning to take their first steps or learning to walk, most doctors and experts agree that barefoot is the best option. It helps them grow strong muscles in a natural and healthy way as well as aiding in developing the correct posture. But this is valid as long as they are indoors. As soon as they step outside and start exploring things, it takes a different turn. Indoors everything has been made baby-proof, and they are in the protective bubble of the parent’s outdoors are entirely different; it is almost as if everything is out to harm your precious little child.

What should you look for when you want to order kids’ slides?

As one dives into the world of shoes for children, there are plenty of things one may decide to look for as you buy kids slides. The shoe should have a wide toe area, you should start by looking for shoes that fit naturally into the feet, and you do not have to struggle to match the shoes. A pair that has enough room for the toes to wiggle around freely should be a perfect choice as the additional room means that your child is comfortable even if he/she is not able to convey the discomfort easily.

The responsibility of choosing the right shoes for the children falls on the shoulders of the parents, to dig out something worthy of the heavenly feet of the child. Here’s a list of what just might make it through your stringent scrutinization.

1.     Merrell bare steps toddler shoes.

2.     Be lenka play kids barefoot shoes.

3.     Freedom Moses kids’ shoes – they come with a minimum 20% discount during the 2020 Black Friday.

4.     Vivo barefoot kids’ shoes – these come with an easy slip-on design, which is made of durable puncture-resistant material.

5.     Wildling kids’ shoes- featuring a lightweight design that makes it easy to use at different places, it is a weatherproof shoe that guarantees comfort without the expense of safety.

6.      Mukishoes- the minimalistic design is the main reason these shoes are so sought after. Made using materials that are put through the test of trade and time so that your child experiences nothing less than what you promise them.

7.      Xero Prio kids shoes- the thin sole makes for one of the most flexible shoes your child will ever slip on their feet. The breathable material gives it the desired shape and provides style with comfort.

8.      Nike toddler shoes- these shoes have the right amount of cushioning for your toddler to get the appropriate ground feel while also maintaining grip and safety. The lightweight shoes make sure that your child is always giggling as they are exploring nature and their surroundings.

Conclusion.

Kids should be able to enjoy their footwear each and every time they slip a pair on, and it becomes one to the parents to make this comfort available to their children. The shoes should have soles that are thin enough to provide flexibility and movement without compromising protection.

Icona Pop – Feels In My Body

Global chart-topping duo Icona Pop are back following their 2020 smash collaborations with heavyweights Steve Aoki and Hayden James, this time with another banger called “Feels In My Body,” which is out now via RECORD COMPANY TEN/ULTRA Music. The song also comes paired with a music video, shot by director Gustav Stegfors and acclaimed Director of Photography, Crille Forsberg (David Bowie, Adele, ZAYN). Watch HERE

Speaking about their new feel good-summer jam, Icona Pop’s Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo reveal, “Feels In My Body is all about hitting your peak, being so full of energy that you want to burst and share it with everyone around you.”

Listen to “Feels In My Body” HERE.

“Feels In The Body” follows two massive collaborations this year for Icona Pop, including “Right Time,” with Australian producer and songwriter Hayden James, which Rolling Stone said “captures the feeling of the dance floor during this time of isolation,” and “I Love My Friends,” the lead single off Steve Aoki’s recent album, Neon Future IV.

Swedish chart-topping duo Icona Pop continue to slay since their 2013 full-length debut, This Is… Icona Pop, which garnered critical acclaim from the likes of Pitchfork and Rolling Stone as the duo performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Today Show, Good Morning America, and America’s Got Talent in addition to featuring on the iconic HBO series Girls and a popular Saturday Night Live sketch. They canvased the globe on sold out tours with Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, and One Direction and joined Tiësto for the banger “Let’s Go” in 2014. Along the way, the duo has performed alongside everyone from Avicii to The Chainsmokers as well as gracing the stages of Ultra, Tomorrowland, Mark Ronson’s Club Heartbreak, and more. Since then, they have consistently filled the gap in music when it comes to upbeat, carefree, quality dance-pop.

Last year, the girls DJ’d across Europe, Asia and North America as well as released a string of bangers including their Yves V and Afrojack collaboration for “We Got That Cool.” In addition, IconaPop continued their message of inclusivity, self-acceptance and positivity on the road for their WorldPride tour, culminating with a show-stopping performance at Stockholm Pride that included a special appearance from Sporty Spice herself, Melanie C.
