George O’Hanlon – How Are You Feeling

Rising UK singer/songwriter George O’Hanlon makes his 2022 debut with his new single “How Are You Feeling?” available now via Harvest Records. Listen to “How Are You Feeling?HERE.

The single finds inspiration from rock icons like Radiohead, Springsteen, Nirvana and Slowdive. Throughout the track, intricate guitar work combined with an uplifting chorus makes it one you’ll want to give a listen to. “How Are You Feeling” also comes as the introduction to George’s full touring band on a single.

As a songwriter, George is able to showcase his true talents in the single. He states, “The song is about how you find your path as a person, especially during your late teens early 20’s, and the ups-and-downs that come with that. To me it’s a really positive song about people finding their way.”

About George O’Hanlon

Gaining practice through performing in the college circuit, George O’Hanlon has been perfecting his craft for quite some time. Working on his music by performing and writing for the past few years, George launched his career in 2021 with his debut EP, The Storm. While his musical inspirations range from artists like Bob Dylan, Jeff Buckley and Thom Yorke, George’s music has natural literary soul. He captives his fans by referencing his own life experiences, outlining them in new perceptions.

While rising as a budding talent in the UK music scene, George has gained affirmation from Abi McCarthy at BBC Introducing and Jack Saunders at Radio 1. You can find George typically performing at grassroots venues, while he toured the UK last September with his band. They traveled to small venues around the UK together. Noting the experience, George exclaimed, “We spent hours with four of us crammed in a car with all our gear. The tough bits are service stations at 3 in in the morning and things like that but playing the shows made it all worth it.”

You can catch George performing at his first US show at Austin’s South by Southwest Festival.

Girl Named Tom Wins The Voice

Sibling trio Girl Named Tom, featuring Caleb (26), Joshua (24) and Bekah (20) Liechty from Pettisville, Ohio, and currently living in South Bend, Indiana, were crowned the champions of “The Voice.”

Girl Named Tom faced tough competition from the other finalists – Hailey Mia, also from Team Kelly, Wendy Moten and Paris Winningham from Team Blake, and Jershika Maple from Team Legend.

In their Blind Audition, the trio, known for their beautiful family harmonies, earned a four-chair turn from all coaches for their rendition of “Helplessly Hoping” by Crosby, Stills & Nash. After an intense deliberation, the siblings chose Kelly Clarkson as their coach. They went on to win their Battle Round with a show-stopping performance of “Seven Bridges Road” by the Eagles and then their Knockout Round as well with a truly breathtaking interpretation of “Wichita Lineman” by Glen Campbell.

During the live rounds, Girl Named Tom stepped out of their sweet spot in the folk genre to take on Coldplay’s iconic “Viva la Vida.” After impressing coaches with their ability to pivot musical styles, they secured a spot in the Top 5 with a stunning cover of Joni Mitchell’s “River.”

On Monday night’s telecast, Girl Named Tom once again showed their range with two timeless classics – “Baby Now That I’ve Found You” by The Foundations and “The Chain” by Fleetwood Mac.

On tonight’s finale, Caleb, Joshua and Bekah were joined on stage by Clarkson for a catchy cover of “Leave Before You Love Me” by Marshmello and the Jonas Brothers.

Girl Named Tom is the first act in the 21 seasons of “The Voice” to have four of their songs in the iTunes Top 10 at the same time. In addition, the group reached #1 twice on the main iTunes Top 200 chart with “River,” and “The Chain.” “Hits From the Road,” the group’s self-titled album that was released in February, is currently #17 on the iTunes Top Albums chart, making them the first act in the show’s history to have songs also charting in the Top 200 from their own self-released album.

Girl Named Tom was the #1 most-viewed act on YouTube this season, with 8.9 million collective views.

About Girl Named Tom

Hailing from a small town, this sibling trio was initially homeschooled where music became a big part of their curriculum. They enrolled in piano lessons at a young age and joined theater once they started attending public school. Despite their artistic upbringing, they all planned to become doctors, but things changed when their father was diagnosed with a rare cancer in 2017. When Bekah finished high school and the boys finished college, their father’s prognosis was still unknown, so they decided to spend more time as a family and formed their trio in 2019. Girl Named Tom is grateful for the chance to bring joy to their family and hopes to make their hometown proud on “The Voice.”

DREAMS IN GOLD TOUR – GRETA VAN FLEET

GRETA VAN FLEET ANNOUNCE DREAMS IN GOLD TOUR 2022

TICKETS ON SALE THIS FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 12 AT 10 A.M. LOCAL TIME

CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED SOPHOMORE ALBUM THE BATTLE AT GARDEN’S GATE OUT NOW

Following this year’s sold-out headline events and a #1 Billboard Rock Album, Grammy-winning rock band Greta Van Fleet are confirmed for their forthcoming Dreams in Gold tour, which kicks off March 10 with the band making a triumphant return to their original stomping grounds in Michigan for a string of arena shows followed by Midwest dates and international shows in Mexico, Europe and the UK. Grammy-nominated group Rival Sons and critically acclaimed rising artist The Velveteers will support the North American shows. Tickets are on sale this Friday, November 12 at 10am local time at LiveNation.com. There will be a Fan Presale on November 10, and a Local Venue Presale on November 11. Strange Horizons, the band’s specialty events in 2021, saw sold-out shows in Nashville, Bridgeport, Chicago and Los Angeles. The group’s critically acclaimed album The Battle at Garden’s Gate was released earlier this year to extensive chart success and fanfare, debuting at #1 Billboard Rock Album, #1 Billboard Hard Rock Album, #1 Billboard Vinyl Album, #2 Billboard Top Album Sales and in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200.

“An hour of rock music that touches on their familiar themes of war, grief, and spirituality…it contains plenty of the intellectual flights that inspired an active subreddit of superfans who devote serious brainpower to textual interpretation of their lyrics. But mercifully, it’s genuinely enjoyable outside of those contexts too.” – Vanity Fair

“There’s something winning about the members’ earnest intentions, as well as their unwavering commitment to them. Their sincere love for the history of rock shows in the depth of their knowledge about it.” – The Guardian

“aim to bust down old walls.” – Rolling Stone

“one of the best straight-up rock albums to come down the pike in many moons” – Variety

The Battle at Garden’s Gate explores the boundaries of the group’s artistry and reflects heavily on the individual members’ personal and spiritual growth during their rapid rise. “There was a lot of self-evolution happening during the writing of this album that was prompted by experiences I had, experiences we all had,” explains vocalist Josh Kiszka. “It’s reflecting a lot of the world that we’ve seen, and I think that it’s reflecting a lot of personal truth,” says guitarist Jake Kiszka.

Forming in Frankenmuth, Michigan back in 2012, Greta Van Fleet consists of three brothers, vocalist Josh Kiszka, guitarist Jake Kiszka, bassist/keyboardist Sam Kiszka, as well as drummer Danny Wagner. Together they have performed across multiple continents, sold over two million albums worldwide, performed on late night television shows, topped the Billboard U.S. Mainstream Rock and Active Rock charts and won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album in 2019.

Of Monsters and Men – New Album

Marking an important milestone, multiplatinum Icelandic collective Of Monsters and Men announce My Head Is An Animal (10th Anniversary Edition) to be released on October 29th.

To celebrate a decade since the arrival of their platinum-certified debut My Head Is An Animal, the group is releasing a version of the album as it was when it was released in Iceland in 2011. This version has a total of four tracks that were not on the 2012 US release, including two never-before-released songs: “Phantom” and “Sugar In A Bowl.” The anniversary album will also be accompanied by commemorative merchandise and a limited-edition vinyl as a special thank you for fans.

Pre-order/Pre-save My Head Is An Animal (10th Anniversary Edition) album and view exclusive merchandise—HERE.

Watch the trailer for new single “Phantom” HERE.

Regarding this moment, the band commented: “It’s been 10 years since the original edition of MHIAA was released in Iceland and because of that we wanted to do something special so we’re releasing a 10th anniversary edition of the album as well as performing some fun live, intimate anniversary shows from Iceland from the venue where we played our first album release party ever.

The track list matches the one from that first edition of the album that came out in Iceland in 2011 plus two unreleased bonus tracks that sort of got left behind when making the record.

This album is how most of you got to know us and how we got to know you and for that we are forever grateful.

Thank you to everyone that listened to and supported us this past decade.

Here is to another 10 years!

Love, OMAM”

While “Phantom” and “Sugar In A Bowl” are newly recorded songs, they are not new to the band. “Phantom” was first performed by Of Monsters and Men in 2010 at the renowned Músíktilraunir music competition. It was one of the two songs performed when they took home first place in the competition helping to jumpstart their career. The album features another unreleased track entitled “Sugar In A Bowl”—also composed and conceptualized over decade ago but never recorded.

Continuing the celebration of their anniversary the band also announce their first and only live shows of 2021: Of Monsters and Men: The 10 Year Anniversary Celebration of My Head Is An Animal where they will be performing two intimate shows at Gamla Bíó (the venue where they held the album release party for the album in 2011) on November 9th and 10th. The band will play the album in its entirety as well as other OMAM favorites both older and newer. Pre-sale for Of Monsters and Men: The 10 Year Anniversary Celebration of My Head Is An Animal  starts October 13th at 10am GMT and general on sale begins on October 14th at 10am GMT. Fans can head to http://ofmonstersandmen.com for more details.

Upon release in 2011, My Head Is An Animal scaled the Billboard Top 200, bowing at #6. It also boasted the quintuple-platinum “Little Talks,” which became “the first song by an Icelandic band to cross 1 billion streams on Spotify,” and the gold-selling “Dirty Paws.” To date the album has been streamed nearly 5 billion times globally and was the starting point for the band’s long career.

Since the start of the pandemic, the band has been keeping busy in Iceland. They released a cover of Post Malone’s “Circles,” in April 2020 that the band performed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (see performance here). Last Fall they released new original track “Visitor,” which generated over 14 million streams worldwide and performed on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The performance was shot in Iceland in the landmark theater IÐNO in central Reykjavik. See the incredible performance here. The track was also remixed by indie darlings MUNA who gave new life to the track (listen here).

In 2019, the group welcomed listeners into the embrace of their critically acclaimed third full-length album, FEVER DREAM. Not only did the record tally 80 million-plus total streams to date, but it also attracted acclaim from BillboardNPRThe Line of Best FitIndependentPaste, and more. Clash Magazine claimed, “The songs also have an emotional content to them that is hard to ignore.” Q Magazine praised it as “a dizzying rush of exuberance and emotion…their transformation into an arena-ready pop beast is complete.” Notably, the single “Alligator” made history by completing “their quickest climb to #1 on the Adult Alternative Songs Airplay Chart, as reported by Billboard. In addition to selling out dates coast-to-coast on the FEVER DREAM Tour, the group delivered rapturous television performances on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE! ,The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and Ellen.

OF MONSTERS AND MEN went from the talk of Iceland to the top of the global conversation on their 2011 debut, My Head Is An Animal which landed the band a performance on Saturday Night Live. The group appeared on official soundtracks for franchises such as The Hunger GamesThe Walking Dead, and Beat Bugs, to name a few. In addition to performing at festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, Firefly, and beyond, they supported Florence + the Machine on a high-profile arena tour. In the midst of this rapid rise, 2015’s Beneath The Skin bowed in the Top 3 of the Billboard Top 200 and the band had a coveted cameo in an episode of HBO’s Game of Thrones in the same year.

Oh Wonder Surprise Album and Video Release

Oh Wonder, the English alt-pop duo, has today released their beautiful, surprise new album, 22 Break, alongside a stunning short film accompanying the record in full. The album features their newest single, “Rollercoaster Baby,” released yesterday.

The band has also confirmed a now sold-out, global, online broadcast of their recent London show at The Albany, taking place on their YouTube on October 14th at 1pm EST. A 52-date world tour for 2022 is on sale now, following an eventful period for the unique London duo, who just scored back-to-back top 10s with 2020’s No One Else Can Wear Your Crown album, on top of 2.7 billion streams and 1.7 million adjusted album sales.

22 Break is the soundtrack to a band, and couple, almost broken – but ultimately made – by the pandemic. It’s a personal, powerfully honest account of those universal breakup themes like loneliness, inadequacy, resentment, and fears for the future, as heightened by making music from your shed in lockdown. In the pandemic’s early phases, Anthony and Josephine worked hard to fill the void created by 2020. Anthony decided to open a coffee shop in Peckham called Nola, which soon saw round-the-block queues and put many of their touring crew back in work. As they started working on new music, however, all the unspoken tensions between a pair who’d never really known a relationship outside of the band tumbled out. Ultimately, though, the album that almost ended Oh Wonder proved to be the making of them: 22 Break is a cathartic, quietly hopeful project, the light at the end of the tunnel that was Oh Wonder’s quite particular pandemic.

Not many bands can make a break-up album that culminates in them tying the knot – but then again, Oh Wonder have never been like other bands. Coming out of 22 Break and all the soul-searching that it forced them to do, Josephine and Anthony got married in August this year. Whilst their relationship now has its own space to exist outside of Nola and Oh Wonder, the duo’s crossroads period has accidentally resulted in their most profound work to date. Opening up to their fans and each other, the ‘Make or Break?’ poised by 22 Break is not so much a question as an active choice – to be as honest as possible, to move forward, and to begin a brand new chapter in the story of Oh Wonder.

A limited number of $29.50 early bird tickets will be available via pre-sale starting Thursday, October 7 at 10 AM MT (code:liveforlivemusic). General on sale begins Friday, October 8 at 10 AM MT. Fans can elevate their Denver Comes Alive experience with a VIP package that includes exclusive access to a private lounge with a bar and food provided by Lou’s Italian Specialties in the West Balcony, as well as a private viewing area with seats.

Inspired by the vibrant live music culture of New Orleans, LA and its famed Jazz & Heritage Festival, Denver Comes Alive will offer up a mix of never-before-seen collaborations and nationally touring bands. In true Comes Alive fashion, the 2021 event will feature the world premiere of a new band, Ramble On Revival. The all-star ensemble features Oteil Burbridge (Dead & Company) Steve Kimock (Phil Lesh & Friends), Eric Krasno (Soulive), Holly Bowling (Ghost Light), Jeff Sipe (Col. Bruce Hampton and the Aquarium Rescue Unit), Skerik, and Jennifer Hartswick (Trey Anastasio Band), who will pull from their interconnected musical lineages to deliver a performance steeped in the spirit of the Grateful Dead, the Allman Brothers Band, and more.

In addition to the debut of Ramble On Revival, the thoughtfully curated 2021 Denver Comes Alive lineup will feature Grammy-nominated New Orleans soul/funk/jazz/hip-hop/spoken word outfit Tank and the Bangas, beloved instrumental dance band Circles Around The Sun, former Prince and Michael Jackson collaborator Judith Hill, and more. The one-day event, hosted by SiriusXM’s Ari Fink, will also feature DJLogic performing between sets and a live painting exhibition/pop-up gallery by beloved New Orleans artist Frenchy.

“The last Denver Comes Alive took place a month before the pandemic hit and is my last memory of being at a sold-out, indoor show, dancing until my feet hurt without a care in the world,” says Kunj Shah, founder of Live For Live Music. “Over the course of the next year, we put on four virtual Comes Alive events and raised over $500,000 for charity, but we’ve been itching to get back to the live setting.”

Shah adds, This time around, we’re going to incorporate a bunch of incredible nonprofit organizations, various members of the Denver and New Orleans communities, and a truly diverse group of musicians to really make this event come alive.

Denver Comes Alive will donate a portion of proceeds to New Orleans Musicians Clinic (NOMC), which provides comprehensive medical care and social services to local musicians, performing artists, cultural workers, and tradition bearers. In the wake of the devastating Hurricane Ida, the organization is actively working to provide immediate relief for its most vulnerable patients and clients.

In addition to NOMC, Live For Live Music and Denver Comes Alive are proud to partner with Conscious Alliance, a network of creatives using their time and talents to feed millions of hungry families across the US. In addition to a Conscious Alliance food drive at the event, all proceeds from sales of a unique Art That Feeds’ Denver Comes Alive 2021 poster will go toward sending a semi-truck filled with food to New Orleans to directly aid families struggling in Ida’s aftermath.

HeadCount and GrooveSafe will also have a presence on-site. HeadCount is a non-partisan organization that uses the power of music to register voters and promote participation in democracy. GrooveSafe aims to cultivate consent culture and create a no-tolerance environment for sexual misconduct.

Mötley Crüe – Shout at the Devil Remastered

Legendary rock band Mötley Crüe continues their 40th anniversary celebration with the release of the digital remaster of their iconic album Shout At The Devil. Hits such as “Looks That Kill,” “Too Young To Fall In Love,” and title track “Shout At The Devil” are amplified on this version of the band’s breakthrough album. Selling over 200,000 copies in the first two weeks, Shout At The Devil established Mötley Crüe as one of the top selling rock acts of the 1980s.

Released in September 1983, the band’s second studio album reached #17 on the Billboard 200. With two of its singles charting on the Billboard Hot 100, Shout At The Devil also featured a cover of The Beatles’ 1968 song “Helter Skelter.” Moving over 4 million copies in the US, the album is now certified 4x Platinum in the US, 3x Platinum in Canada and Gold in Australia. Most recently, Rolling Stone magazine ranked the album #44 in its list of “The 100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time” in 2017. The remaster is now available for pre-order and pre-save HERE. Their debut album was recorded at Hit City West Studios and made available via their own label Leathür Records. Eventually reaching Platinum status in the US and charting on the Billboard 200, the album was ranked #22 on Rolling Stone’s “The 100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time.”

The new remasters join the recently released digital remasters of Dr. Feelgood, Girls, Girls, Girls and Theatre of Pain, which kicked off the band’s 40th anniversary celebrations earlier this year.

White Lies – New Album

White Lies announced the details of their forthcoming sixth album As I Try Not To Fall Apart, which will be released on [PIAS] on February 18th, 2022.

In addition, today the band share the title track from the album and an accompanying visual.

On the track they share: “We wrote this song quickly, late one night, and often the songs which come quickest are written from the gut and the heart, not with the head. We wanted the melody to feel like a hymn, to give the confessional lyrics weight despite being wrapped up as a pop song. It’s about accepting vulnerability as a man, and knowing it’s ok to be broken. There’s never been a more pressing time to spread the message that it”s ok to not be ok.”

The track is accompanied by a stimulating video directed by James Arden aka The Trash Factory.

Talking about the vision for the video, he says: “The track made me think of people trying to lift themselves out of emotional spirals – navigating feelings of fragility and fighting everyday pressures just so they can keep it ;together – ;and it made me think about how we can be buried and overwhelmed by our feelings and emotions, and how we could explore that, visually.”

Harry from White Lies adds: “Being buried in sand was too mad to pass up. The sensation was really chilling and I was picking sand out of my ears for days, but I’m thrilled with the video, it really carries the message of the song and it looks beautiful.”

Recorded at Sleeper and Assault & Battery studios in West London, the album sees long-term collaborator Ed Buller, who has worked on many of their albums including their debut To Lose My Life, return to produce several tracks along with Claudius Mittendorfer (Weezer, Panic! At The Disco) also producing and mixing the entire album.
