BLACKPINK – BORN PINK

Global phenomenon BLACKPINK has announced via social media their second album, BORN PINK will release on Friday, September 16th. Last week, an official visual teaser revealed the first single titled “Pink Venom” will be available next Friday, August 19th. Pre-save the track HERE

The group’s long-awaited return was announced earlier this summer in an official statement from YG Entertainment noting the upcoming new music would kick off “a continuous large-scale project [that] extends through the second half of the year”. Yesterday, the large-scale project was revealed as BLACKPINK’s 2022 / 2023 world tour, set to kick off on October 15th in Seoul, South Korea. Additional information on the tour will be available in early September. Full list of dates linked HERE and listed below.

JESSIE WARE – FREE YOURSELF

Jessie Ware today shares the energetic video for latest single “Free Yourself.” Watch Here.

Directed by Vicky Lawton, the “Free Yourself” video is loaded with infectious energy that celebrates the joy of being unapologetically yourself. A figure of empowerment draped in red silky luxury, Jessie literally puts herself on a pedestal to coach ‘names not numbers’ covered in black clothing into freeing their ‘extraordinary colors’.

Packed with catwalks of fierce self-love, the track and video are a stature of indulgence that champions a movement of fun expression.

Since its release “Free Yourself” has gone on to have the biggest week one streams in both the UK and internationally ahead of any other Jessie single. The new track is co-written and produced by Coffee Clarence JR and legendary British producer Stuart Price.

’Free Yourself’ is the beginning of a new era for me.” explains Jessie. “I’m so excited for people to have this song for the end of their summer; to dance, to feel no inhibitions & to feel joyful because that’s how I’ve been feeling recently being able to tour again and being able to sing again. Enjoy yourself, Free Yourself!”

The new track also tops off a fantastic summer for Jessie, who brought the disco on her rescheduled What’s Your Pleasure? live shows including a headline slot at Glastonbury’s Park stage and a career defining set at Primavera Sound. Later, this year will see Jessie stateside to support Harry Styles on his Love on Tour for 5 dates at Chicago’s United Center.

In amongst completing the rescheduled tour dates, Jessie is busy back in the studio to finish her much-anticipated fifth studio album.

Lyn Lapid announced debut EP via 360 MAGAZINE

Lyn Lapid – The Outsider

After releasing a slew of viral singles over the past year, breakout songstress Lyn Lapid drops her long-awaited debut EP The Outsider today—listen HERE. The EP, dedicated to all “the outsiders” like Lyn, features 8-songs, including her new single “Pager” alongside fan favorites like “In My Mind,” “I Guess That Was Goodbye,” and the title track “The Outsider.” See the full tracklist below.

On the EP, Lyn says, “I would best describe ‘The Outsider’ as a collection of the different parts of myself that I discovered growing up, and how I learned to accept and set myself apart from the community I grew up in and the people I encountered throughout my life. The focus track of the EP, ‘Pager,’ perfectly encapsulates that sort of idea I had, and it’s the one track on the EP where I specifically talk about the kind of community I grew up in. I grew up in an academically rigorous and competitive community where careers in the fine arts were highly stigmatized and discouraged, so you can imagine the kind of reaction I got when I decided not to go to college and pursue a career as a musician; it was kinda awful, and I got a lot of backhanded comments. I knew that music was my true passion ever since I was little, and eventually I figured I could never win everyone over with the choice I made for myself. I learned to stick with the people who truly got behind me and cut ties with anyone who didn’t.”

She continues, “The other tracks on ‘The Outsider’ all talk about the different ways I felt like an outsider growing up and how I learned to cut ties with the toxic people in my life and find the ones who continue to support me today. I hope that anyone who listens to ‘The Outsider’ knows that there will always be a circle of people who will fully accept who you are, and all you gotta do is go out there and find them.”

This spring, the 19-year-old singer and songwriter will support Ricky Montgomery on his headline tour across North America—see the list of upcoming dates below. This follows Lyn’s previous live shows with Eric Nam and Claire Rosinkranz this past winter.

Surpassing 284 million global streams across her catalogue and amassing 5 million TikTok followers to date, Lyn has affirmed herself as one to watch in 2022 with The Outsider. Stay tuned for more exciting news to come from her this year.

ASHLEY KUTCHER × ONE EIGHTY LIVE

Up and coming pop singer-songwriter Ashley Kutcher just announced her first live tour dates in both Los Angeles and New York City. The upcoming two-night tour is set to begin in March 2022 and will feature performances of Ashley’s debut EP One Eighty. For a sneak peek at what is to come from the tour, watch Ashley’s live performance of “The Night You Left” HERE. Tickets for the tour are available on January 14, 2022, at 10AM PST.

One Eighty includes Ashley’s first song that went viral with a total of 58M audio streams, “Love You From a Distance.” After the success of “Love You From a Distance,” Ashley landed a deal with Darkroom/Interscope Records. The EP symbolizes Ashley’s rising success collected in the past year that accumulated millions of streams. When considering the EP, Ashley says, “One Eighty is a collection of songs I wrote as my life took a complete turn. It’s a project of discovering who I am as an artist. Together these songs tell my story and I could not be more excited to share it.” One Eighty is available HERE.

About Ashley Kutcher

Ashley Kutcher is a 23-year-old rising singer, songwriter and artist originally from Baltimore, Maryland. Ashley originally went on to chase a nursing degree at Towson University after high school. During her time at school, a local bar discovered a video of her singing online and asked her to perform on their stage. This single opportunity opened Ashley up to the world of music and songwriting, as she quit her waitressing job and began playing sets at the bar, playing for around four hours per each night. When Ashley’s senior year came, she began posting her singing talents on TikTok. Ashley posted a demo of “Lust,” which captivated the attention of over thousands of people. Continuing off this momentum, Ashley soon after posted another demo “Hands to Myself” to streaming platforms, with the song accumulating over 1 million streams on Spotify.

While continuing to grow her emerging fanbase, Ashley noticed a tweet from blackbear that stated, “hit me up if you don’t like me.” Ashley took inspiration from this tweet, and formulated her own song called “HMU if U Don’t Like Me,” similar to the tweet by blackbear. The song rapidly gained another million streams, and Ashley realized the true talent that she possessed. Ashley, again, took to TikTok with another one of her songs “Love You From A Distance,” produced by Eric Taft. The song surpassed 9.5 million Spotify streams while she signed to Darkroom/Interscope Records (with now over 58 million audio streams). Ashley’s creative and sincere point of view attracted her audience, leading to the success of her debut EP One Eighty. Ashley now is getting ready to perform her music for the first time in Los Angeles and New York.
