About Mimi Webb
Mimi Webb projects a voice as magnetic, massive, and magical as her personality. As “the girl next door” with a hell of vocal range, she’s quick to laugh, will let you know precisely what’s on her mind, and isn’t afraid to be heard. Originally hailing from the UK town of Canterbury, the pop singer and songwriter turns up the volume on every emotion with skyscraping runs and open-heart honesty.

Inspired by the likes of Amy Winehouse, Emelie Sandé, and Sam Smith, she started writing songs of her own at 13-years-old in diaries before eventually learning guitar. Around the same time, she enrolled in The BRIT School—known for alumni such as Adele, Amy Winehouse, Jessie J, and more. Three years later, she left home, moved in with a host family, and attended the prestigious BIMM [British Institute of Modern Music]. In 2019, she uploaded a handful of early compositions and collaborations online, landed management, and inked a deal with Epic Records. Mimi Webb’s impromptu acapella videos exploded with over 20 million views on TikTok, paving the way for a string of original fan favorites such as “Before I Go,” “I’ll Break My Heart Again,” “Reasons,” and “Good Without.” After amassing over 200 million streams, both of her recent singles “Dumb Love” and “Good Without” peaked in Top 15 on the UK Singles Charts GIVĒON WINS BEST POP VIDEO AT 2021 MTV VMA’S!, with the latter steadily climbing up the Top 40 of Billboard’s Adult Airplay and Mainstream Airplay charts.

Music Week also recently announced Mimi Webb as the newest addition to their BBC Radio 1’s Brit List. About The Game

The Game is everywhere. From the streets of Compton to the top of the charts and the forefront of the culture, he’s the rare rapper who can collaborate with Ed Sheeran and Travis Barker, pop out on Kevin Hart’s Instagram, and appear in All Star Weekend directed by Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx all within the same news cycle. From breaking records, piling up billions of streams, setting social media on fire with every post, and holding down the place he calls home, it’s become nearly impossible to escape the influence of the two-time GRAMMY Award-nominated multiplatinum rapper, songwriter, producer, actor, and entrepreneur born Jayceon Terrell Taylor. At the same time, his rapping may very well be sharper than ever.

During 2019, The Game reached rarified air with Born 2 Rap, registering a career-high score of 82% on Metacritic. NME raved, Born 2 Rap isn’t just a library of classic records blended together; it’s a lesson in storytelling, and Forbes assured, Both he and his fans have something that they can be proud of for years to come. Thus far, he has earned a staggering eight #1 debuts on the Billboard Top Rap Albums Chart, eight #1 debuts on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart, and three #1 debuts on the Billboard Top 200. His introductory opus, The Documentary, marked his first #1 on the Top 200, went double-platinum, and received two GRAMMY Award nominations.

In 2005, he put the West Coast on his back and never stopped running. Now, he sets the pace yet again on another music project, heralded by the sizzling single Worldwide Summer Vacation.

As acoustic guitar strums alongside singsongy percussion, Jeremy laments a relationship on the brink. His voice rings out on the observation, “I was so sentimental, and you came for my head, we were both on the brink, I was holding my breath,” before finally pleading, “Just be honest with me babe. The song’s organic instrumentation matches Jeremy’s open-hearted delivery and illuminates yet another side of his songwriting and artistry, as he continues to evolve with no shortage of emotion or intuition.

Jeremy says, “‘HONEST’ is one of my favorite songs i’ve ever written thus far, and i’m so excited to finally share it with everyone. Gracie Abrams Announces 2021 Tour

GRACIE ABRAMS ANNOUNCES I’VE MISSED YOU, I’M SORRY TOUR

Acclaimed songwriter Gracie Abrams announces her I’ve missed you, I’m sorry tour for this fall. Kicking off September 1 in Santa Ana at the Constellation Room Abrams will play 10 shows including stops in New York City, Atlanta, Los Angeles and London. Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 23, at 10 a.m. local time. See below for the full list of tour dates including already announced festivals Bottlerock, Firefly and Austin City Limits.  Tickets can be purchased here.

In May Abrams released her poignant new single Mess It Up and its accompanying video — a heart-melting portrait of shattered hopes and smashed layer cake.  Directed by Matty Peacock, the video for Mess It Up finds Abrams attempting to bake a cake and repeatedly dropping the gorgeously frosted final product on the ground.

Mess It Up is Abrams’s first new music since the March premiere of Unlearn, a collaboration with hitmaker benny blanco who also served as producer on the title track to her acclaimed debut project minor which came out last summer.

ABOUT GRACIE ABRAMS

Since making her debut with Mean It in October 2019, Gracie Abrams has emerged as one of the most compelling songwriters of her generation, earning the admiration of such likeminded artists as Lorde, Billie Eilish, and Olivia Rodrigo. A consummate songwriter who names Joni Mitchell as her most formative influence, she penned her first song at the age of eight, then went on to amass a devoted following on the strength of her emotionally intimate lyrics and DIY sensibilities. As her profile rose, Abrams was named an artist to watch by tastemaking outlets like Pigeons & Planes, Fader, and -iD, in addition to being crowned one of seven breakout female musicians by Vogue UK. With the arrival of her debut project minor in summer 2020, she received glowing reviews from the likes of NME, who praised her painfully honest tales of heartbreak draped in delicate melodies that carry much more intrigue than the usual run-of-the-mill singer-songwriter. Executive-produced by Blake Slatkin — and also made with leading producers like Joel Little and benny blanco – the seven-song effort features her beloved singles 21, I miss you, I’m sorry, and Long Sleeves. Abrams is now at work on more new music, due out later this year.

Maggie Rose – Are We There Yet

MAGGIE ROSE SHARES NEW SINGLE ARE WE THERE YETLISTEN

New Album, Have A Seat, Arrives Everywhere Friday, August 20

Have A Seat Album Release Tour Kicks Off This Weekend In Annapolis, Md

Pre-order Have A Seat

Today, the Nashville-based rock and soul singer-songwriter Maggie Rose shares Are We There Yet, the newest single from her upcoming album, Have A Seat, following the releases of the songs Do It, What Are We Fighting For, For Your Consideration, and Saint. Have A Seat is due out on August 20 via Starstruck Records. The album was recorded live at FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL, and was produced by Ben Tanner (Alabama Shakes).

Garden & Gun exclusively premiered Are We There Yet earlier today, calling the song an apt entry point to Have a Seat and to Rose’s catalog as a whole, and goes on to say, ‘Are We There Yet’ shows an artist at the top of her craft, and only improving.

LISTEN TO ARE WE THERE YET

Rose heralded the release of Have A Seat with a three-part video series that combined to create an in-depth story. The music video trilogy concept was the brainchild of close friend and acclaimed photographer/videographer Ford Fairchild.

I was lucky enough to watch Maggie bring Have A Seat to life from the beginning and one thing I noticed was how much personal growth she worked through in making this record, says Fairchild. You could tell she was stepping into an alternate universe every time she was in work mode. So when it came time to figure out creative direction, I wanted to show that growth with Maggie working through it over dinner with different versions of herself.

The trilogy began with What Are We Fighting For. It was followed by Saint and then finally For Your Consideration.

We really wanted viewers to get to know the different sides of Maggie individually so we decided to do that in a trilogy, with ‘For Your Consideration’ bringing them all together, continues Fairchild. The dinner table signifies the body of work as a whole so you’ll see nods to each song on the record throughout the trilogy.

Like any great soul singer, Rose beautifully captures the tensions of the current moment, gently presenting her pensive social commentary while providing a much-needed reprieve from the everyday chaos. These songs were written during a contentious time, and there are undertones to the lyrics that are influenced by the state of our world politics and the politics of the music industry, she says. The title Have a Seat is responsible, placing an emphasis on inclusivity, like, Here, sit down. Let’s try talking to each other.’ One of the most loving things we can do is listen and make others feel heard, give people the space to speak their minds and be themselves. However, there’s also an intended meaning to the title that points to the power in occupying the seat that’s designated to you: I am claiming a seat I believe is rightfully mine, and I want others to do the same.

Rose kicked off her extensive album release tour yesterday for the first show of a two-night stand at Rams Head On Stage in Annapolis, MD. See tour dates and purchase tickets here.

About Maggie Rose

Maggie Rose is a Nashville-based singer/songwriter who has dreamed up her own unbridled collision of rock n’ roll, soul, folk, funk, and R&B. She is about to release her third studio album, Have a Seat. Produced by Ben Tanner of Alabama Shakes, Have a Seat came to life at the iconic FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL. In a series of pre-pandemic sessions, Rose recorded live with a lineup of heavy-hitters that includes bassist David Hood of the Swampers (the group of session musicians who played on records from legends like Aretha Franklin and Etta James) and guitarist Will McFarlane (Bonnie Raitt, Levon Helm), along with her longtime bandmates/collaborators Larry Florman (background vocals/percussion), Alex Haddad (guitars), and Sarah Tomek (drums) of Them Vibes. Also featuring an esteemed string section and swampy horn ensemble, in a way that’s never been so integral to Rose’s sonic aesthetic, Have a Seat continues the free-flowing musical exploration she first began on her powerhouse 2018 album Change the Whole Thing. Centered on the stunning vocal command she’s revealed in taking the stage at The Grand Ole Opry over 80 times, Have a Seat finds Rose approaching her music with more confidence and clarity of vision than ever, ultimately sharing a selection of songs both timeless and urgent. In 2019, Rose toured with Heart, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, and Kelly Clarkson. She also shared the Cayamo Cruise bill with Emmylou Harris and Jason Isbell.

TOM ODELL – MONSTERS

Tom Odell new studio album monsters out now

2022 North American Tour Announced, Fan Pre-Sale Tuesday July 13 at 12PM EST

Away from all the noise of his various successes – three UK top 5 albums including the platinum-selling, chart-topping Long Way Down; two top 10 singles; a 2013 Brit award for Critic’s Choice – there’s one thing that’s always kept Tom Odell grounded: songwriting. A classic songwriter in the mould of Elton John (who’s a big fan, actually), Odell – who was awarded a prestigious Ivor Novello for Songwriter of the Year in 2014 – relied on his passion more than ever when it came to crafting his fourth album, the pop-leaning, emotionally-healing monsters out today, July 9 via Sony Music UK/RCA Records.

Today, Odell also announces that his 2022 North American tour dates will go on sale Tuesday, July 13 to fans via pre-sale at 12 noon EST/9am PST, with general tickets available for purchase next Friday, July 16 at 10 am local time. Visit the official website for more information.

Tom Odell’s new song out today “over you yet” has him lamenting a past relationship which he painfully cannot disconnect from. While the subject matter can be heavy, there’s a lightness of touch that means he is able to pull off pop’s greatest trick – hiding sadness in bright, joyful melodies.  The track is subtly embraced by his newfound love of DIY electronic pop with its beat-driven melancholic production.

After a dark period of mental health stalked most of his 2018 and 2019, Odell wrote his way through it, eventually letting down his guard and pouring his feelings on everything from anxiety to capitalism, toxic masculinity to politics, into a 16-track opus that feels like both a daring creative rebirth and a solidifying of Odell’s strengths. It’s all there in the opening song and album lead single, “numb” which opens with Odell’s unadorned vocal over sparse piano – “I hold my hand over the flame, to see if I can feel some pain,” he sings – before eerie, wheezing electronics and layers of clipped beats cloak the song in a sticky sadness.

“I was writing songs like I always did, but it wasn’t until I started writing about stuff that was contributing to my mental health problems that I felt like a record was forming,” he says of the album – his first since 2018’s 70s rock-leaning Jubilee Road, which was started in May 2019 and finished in Odell’s home studio between lockdowns in 2020. That thematic turning point came in the shape of the single “monster,” which like the album’s lead single “numb” confronts that sentiment head on. With the sky-scraping chorus (“you’re just a monster and I’m not scared”) initially inspired by Trump, and more specifically climate change activist Greta Thunberg staring him down at the UN Climate Summit in 2019, the song soon morphed into something more abstract, a self-help mantra for Odell’s ongoing battle with anxiety. “It’s about trying to tell myself that this thing I’m feeling is not real,” he says. “It always used to happen in bathrooms – I’d be out somewhere and then I’d walk to the bathroom and my heart would go at a million miles per hour and I’d feel like I was about to collapse, and I’d try to tell myself it was fine. That it will pass. That it’s a state of mind.”

Odell has been working as a musician in the public eye since he was 21 when self-penned debut album Long Way Down earned him a number 1 album, a top 10 single, the epic “Another Love and a Brit Award. Now, 30, it’s clear to Odell that the whirlwind around his debut kick-started a work ethic that eventually became an obsession. “Just wanting to completely lose myself in it but to a damaging extent I think.” It reached an apex in September 2019 when Odell, fresh off touring Jubilee Road, went straight to LA to start writing the next album. “Then this chronic anxiety that I’d had for a couple of years just got worse – I was very lonely, I was drinking way too much, and it just got really bad.” He takes a deep breath. “I was taking Valium every day to try and just not have a panic attack. I was seeing multiple psychologists over there.” Plans were made to fly to Nashville to work with producer Mike Elizondo (Fiona Apple, Twenty One Pilots) but were swiftly cancelled after Odell woke up one morning “and I couldn’t do anymore music.”  He knew something had to change. “It was like I’m going to end up with something terrible happening,” he sighs. “I used to sit on Santa Monica beach and look at the planes taking off from LAX and just dream of being on one.” In the end he flew back home, went straight to his parent’s house, and slowly got better. “That was the point I started writing these songs.”

Slowly but surely, Odell turned that challenging experience into a new album. He also realized his broader lyrical horizons needed to be matched by a musical expansion, with a lot of the songs on the album – created alongside songwriter Laurie Blundell and producer Miles James – leaning into a more electronic, bedroom pop sound that Odell has steadily become obsessed with over the last few years. It wasn’t always that way, mind you. “I really turned my nose up at anything that was made on a computer,” he laughs. “I just didn’t like pop music. Some of that was my issue and some of it was that pop music wasn’t that good four or five years ago – it’s so interesting now. I hear lyrical subjects that I don’t think anyone’s heard in pop music before. I felt like I was getting caught up in that fire and suddenly I was so excited.” This newfound love of DIY electronic pop chimed with the pandemic’s arrival and songs were crafted in a more threadbare way around instruments he had at hand, like Moog synths. It was a move underpinned by both necessity and a desire to explore.

“It was the inhibition of not being able to use a full band that pushed things forward,” he says. So eerie synths and head-rattling beats augment the frayed-around-the-edges, impassioned rallying cry of “fighting fire with fire” (“I’m sick of white messiahs”), while “money” – which rails against society’s obsession with capitalism, while also pointing at the reflection in the mirror – is built around a driving pulse of echo-laden beats and crunchy, metallic percussion. On “numb,” inspired by experimental musician Mica Levi’s soundscapes, synthetic textures are painstakingly fused with acoustic flourishes. “I would say there was this period before it all unraveled in LA where I was just disconnected,” he says of the lyrical inspiration for “numb.”  “I felt bogged down, like I was beginning to lose that sense of lightness.”

fighting fire with fire,” “numb” and “monster” also touch on ideas around prevailing toxic masculinity and its effects on body-image issues. “On ‘monster,” I like the idea that I’m singing the chorus to myself – this idea of body image and never being good enough. You look in the mirror and it’s like ‘you’re just a monster.’ Those low self-esteem moments that we all have.” That theme also permeates the fragile, heart-breaking piano ballad and future single, lose you again, which pores over a fractured relationship and rails at the stoicism that bleeds out of men being afraid to show their feelings. Continuing to hide sadness in bright, joyful melodies is the buoyant pop shimmer of me and my friends, inspired by a homeless person Odell met briefly in LA who called him out on his patronizing need to help her, and the pastoral, 60s-inspired guitar that flutters around the broken tales of the lush tears that never dry.

As a testament to his enduring popularity, Tom Odell was invited to perform on BBC1’s Graham Norton TV show, and  more recently he appeared on the The Late Late Show with James Corden with another intimate performance.  At the same time, Odell’s fan base continues to grow exponentially with his new sound and direction. He has gained over 4 million new monthly listeners since the start of the year, with two thirds of his audience under 25. Despite joining TikTok relatively recently, his heavily engaged videos have been viewed over 15 million times, and his first ever single “Another Love” has had a resurgence in popularity amongst a new generation, becoming a viral hit and entering the UK official singles charts again.

Four albums into his career and Tom Odell has made a record that feels free of expectation, free of other people’s perceptions of who he is as an artist. While it was darkness that inspired him, he has managed to transform that into a multi-layered, genre-bending pop album full of light, and hope, even in the strangest of times. monsters also represents the start of chapter two in Odell’s ongoing musical journey. “I feel like I’ll be doing this for as long as I can,” Odell smiles. “I also feel like I do it for the right reasons – because I love making music.” He’s confident, too, after a difficult few years lost in the wilderness. “I feel like I’ve got shit to say and I’m good at what I’m doing now.”

CREEPER – MIDNIGHT

CREEPER DROPS NEW SINGLE MIDNIGHT FROM NEW EP AMERICAN NOIR ARRIVES ON JULY 30

As CREEPER prepare to make an emotional reunion with their fan community when they headline the second stage at Download Pilot this Saturday, the band shares the new video for their current single Midnight. Continuing CREEPER’s unique ability to subvert rock tropes while maintaining a theatrical zeal, the song received widespread fan adoration plus coverage from DIY, Dork, Kerrang!, Louder, NME and The Line of Best Fit.

The Midnight video brings the curtain down on the narrative established in their Top 5 album Sex, Death and The Infinite Void and commences a new chapter in which Annabelle battles her grief following the loss of Roe. Directed by the band’s regular collaborator Olli Appleyard, the video captures CREEPER’s distinctive doomed elegance aesthetic. It cuts rapidly between their full-throttle performance, a glimpse at Roe’s passing, and front man Will Gould’s iconic prayer while draped in the Stars and Stripes.

Will Gould commented, “The video for Midnight welcomes our audience back into the world of Calvary Falls one final time to bear witness to the death of Roe. Olli Appleyard has created a visual as lavish and tragic as the music itself, we are so excited to share it with the world.”

American Noir is a requiem to the album’s central character Roe, which explores his partner Annabelle’s grief and desolation following his death.

Midnight provides an enticing introduction to American Noir, which presents a requiem to Roe. Elsewhere, Hannah Greenwood’s vocals also take centre-stage on the mournful gothic romance of Ghosts Over Calvary and the funeral march elegy of the closing ballad Damned and Doomed. America At Night reprises Gould’s lyrical gift for crafting poetic pop culture references and amplifies the drama with stirring strings and a searing solo, traits which resonate even more theatrically within One Of Us. It also features three interludes: the tone-setting Midnight Militia, The Drowning Room, and the John Carpenter-esque Frozen Night.

The EP continues CREEPER’s creative collaboration with Xandy Barry, who also produced Sex, Death & the Infinite Void.

American Noir is now available to pre-order here, and will be released on digital and physical formats. The standard vinyl is a single-sided screen-printed vinyl (replicating the style of their debut self-titled EP), which features the lightning bolt from the Sex, Death and the Infinite Void cover. There are two limited edition vinyl variants which are available exclusively from CREEPER’s official store, one featuring Roe and the other featuring Annabelle. The store also offers two limited edition cassettes, each with alternate artwork. A standard CD is also available.

When CREEPER headline the second stage at Download Pilot at 8:15pm this Saturday June 19, it will be their first live show in 16 months and their first since the release of Infinite Void. But there will soon be the chance to catch them again, first with the Reading and Leeds Festivals in August, and then with their biggest headline tour to date in December.
