Sasha Sloan – Is It Just Me?

“Is It Just Me?” is full of Sasha’s candid and witty observations and brilliantly sharp and relatable lyrics that her fans relish. It follows the release of the poignant and brutally honest self-reflective track “House With No Mirrors” which Idolator called “…stunning…” and the critically praised first single “Lie” which has been called a  “…bittersweet bop…” by Idolator and declared a “…straight up radio hit…” by Billboard.

Sasha will be performing “Lie” on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on September 24th.

Additionally, Sasha has opened a fan community forum  that can be accessed by calling the number at the end of the “Lie” music video. Once in the community fans can leave Sasha notes, poems, lyrics and more which she will read and interact with providing an outlet for those who wish to express themselves through their creativity.

ABOUT SASHA SLOAN

After emerging in 2017 and appearing on a handful of high-profile collaborations, 25-year-old singer/songwriter Sasha Sloan released her debut single “Ready Yet.” Since then, she has established herself as a true wordsmith, an artist’s artist, who crafts potent melodies filled with poignant lyrics. As a songwriter Sasha has amassed over 3.5 billion streams by penning hits for some of today’s biggest artists. In 2018 Sasha released her first two EPs, Sad Girl and Loser. Her track “Normal” has been heralded by Billboard as a “catchy introvert anthem.”  These emotionally-rich, left-of-center pop releases lead to her late night debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in 2019 with a performance of “Older.” That year, Sasha completed her first North American and European headline tours (sold out) and released her 3rd and final EP Self Portrait, which had her single “Dancing With Your Ghost” as Idolator’s 6th “75 Best Pop Songs Of 2019.” She also recently scored a #1 on the Dance Chart for “I’ll Wait,” her collaboration with Kygo. Remarkably before she has released a debut album, Sasha has garnered over 2 billion streams worldwide to date.

Healy – Back in Time

Memphis based singer/songwriter/producer Healy releases his latest track and accompanying visual for “Back in Time” ft. Public Library Commute today (listen/watch here).

“”Back in Time,” much like “Nikes On,” has the central theme of time,” says Healy of the track.  “I really overthink a lot and spend a lot of my energy reliving the past while trying to make it perfect. Time is relative–and sometimes I wish I could manipulate it by slowing it down and living a little longer inside certain moments–so I tried to convey that by slowing and warping the end of the song and offering this really saturated vignette. It only lasts 30 seconds, but it departs from the anecdotal nature of the rest of the song and exists as a really vulnerable portrayal of my core feelings that rarely see the light of day.”

In July, Healy released the track and music video for “Second Wind” which was the first track he wrote and recorded during his trip to Joshua Tree National Park.  The track has nearly 1 million streams.  Earlier this year, Healy released “Nikes On” as well as the music video for his track “Reckless” the latter of which was featured on his debut album Subluxe and has over 47.5 million streams on Spotify.  Healy reached over 1.4 million followers on his Spotify artist page. Healy released “Tuscon,” which has garnered over 2.7 million combined audio streams.  Keep checking for more music from Healy coming soon.

About Healy:

Performing under only his last name, Healy embodies cardinal themes of his work like self-discovery and non-dualism. He released his debut album Subluxe in 2017 in the wake of his second year of medical school.  The album has nearly 60 million audio streams.  The lead single, “Unwind,” caught the internet on its heels, helping to establish Healy’s fixed presence as a promising multidimensional artist in a mercurial musical climate. His work is a fearless transgression—a tonal gradient with origins in classic and indie rock, soul, and Memphis rap.

Dempsey Hope Releases New Song

DEMPSEY HOPE – RELEASES NEW TRACK “ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM, FEAT. gnash”

Seattle-based artist on the rise Dempsey Hope just released his new track “Elephant in the Room” feat. gnash via RCA Records. What started as an organic online connection between two like-minded artists, brought together after their respective fan bases started cross tagging them in posts to work together, soon evolved into both a friendship and an artistic collaboration.

Says Dempsey, “After my videos started gaining significant traction on my social channels, fans started tagging gnash in the comments section saying that I reminded them of him and that we should collab together. I was excited, because I’ve been a fan of his for a while. After that gnash had reached out to me and expressed his love and support for the music and we stayed connected over the next few months. Eventually, I recorded this demo that I thought he would be perfect for so I sent him the song, and he came back with this incredible verse and told me how much he loved it! To me, the song is about having that elephant in the room with your significant other. You care about the person to the point where you can acknowledge it; it’s not something you need to stay away from. You can figure it out together.”

Says gnash, “i’m so happy dempsey granted me an opportunity to share some light on this tune. our fans introduced us to each other online & we had been chatting for a minute about finding something to work on together. i connected with this song immediately because it reminded me of some feelings i think about a lot. my partner & i have been together 5 years & sometimes it feels like a lifetime already. there are those omnipresent wedding/marriage conversations that i think almost anybody in a long-term relationship feels from time to time. i’m someone who is constantly dreading big impending doom conversations – but it’s important to remember that saying “we have to talk” doesn’t always have to be a bad thing, & here in this song, it’s a great thing! (even though it can be scary) p.s. whatever it is, you got this & it’s gonna be fine <3“

Listen HERE.

“Elephant in the Room” feat. gnash follows the music video release of Dempsey’s beloved fan favorite “Time Flies.” Shot last month, the video bring to life the dynamic track that first took on a life of its own when Dempsey engaged his core fan base on TikTok to insert their own story into the lyrics, garnered over half a million US audio streams in its first week. Dempsey, who has been called “an unbelievable talent” by Lyrical Lemonade was also featured in the Seattle Times. Leaning heavily on a sound that he calls “nostalgic”, Dempsey crafts poignant melodies with Pop and R&B influences that will make you a fan after just one listen. Dempsey has a deep catalog of unreleased music and visuals which he will be rolling out this fall.

About Dempsey Hope:

Dempsey Hope has been a singer and performer since an early age. In 2009, Dempsey began recording his YouTube videos, gaining fans by doing covers and creating content with his childhood friend Kateel. He then got started with a local community based recording program in South Seattle, releasing his first original song “Game Time”, and started busking at local festivals and on the streets of Seattle.

In high school, Dempsey focused on sports, and was a member of the Nathan Hale Basketball Team that went undefeated and won the High School National Championship in 2017. He also led his Ultimate Frisbee Team to a Washington State Championship and the national stage. In 2016, Dempsey began to dive back into the world of music, taking a more serious approach to the craft of songwriting and since then has fully dedicated himself to pursuing music. In 2018, Dempsey linked up with Seattle based producer Jake Crocker and they got to work, developing and crafting much of what you hear in Dempsey’s sound today. Together they created tracks like “Commitment Issues”, “3 Years”, “When I Wake Up”, “Time Flies” and his most recent release “Elephant In The Room feat. gnash”.

Jazmine Sullivan – Lost One

Twelve-time Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Jazmine Sullivan makes her long awaited return with the emotional new single “Lost One. Written by Jazmine and produced by Dave Watson, Jr., the smoldering ballad explores the remorse one experiences after a failed relationship. Released via RCA Records, the song is available at digital service providers – click here to listen.

As the first new solo recording from Jazmine in five years, “Lost One” reminds the listeners why she is often cited as one of today’s most dynamic vocalists. Sullivan’s 2015 third studio album, Reality Show, appeared on numerous “Best of” lists, including NPR Music which proclaimed Jazmine “is blessed with a ninth-wonder-of-the-world voice. She sounds sly, raspy, nimble, battleship-sturdy, gospel-drenched, emotionally devastating.”

Reality Show, which included fan favorites “Let It Burn,” “Forever Don’t Last,” and “Mascara,” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B Albums chart, No. 2 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, No. 3 on the Digital Albums chart and No. 12 on the Billboard Top 200. Music Video for Robert Grace – Fake Fine

Irish-pop newcomer Robert Grace releases the video to his hit single “Fake Fine” via Sony Music Germany/RCA Records. Watch HERE. “Fake Fine” was released last month and marked Robert’s first release with Sony Music Germany/RCA Records.

In the video to “Fake Fine”, Robert Grace sarcastically talks about the inner and outer disguises we put on for self-protection. Including real life facemasks, a minimum distance, and the will to once again be yourself. Nathan Barlow directed this video.

Robert says, “The idea behind this music video was to shed some more light on mental health. To show in a slightly light hearted way that there really is no quick fix for depression or anxiety. Happiness isn’t easy for everyone (especially at the moment!) and I don’t think enough people realize that!“

ABOUT “FAKE FINE”

The songwriter, musician, and producer from Graignamanagh, Kilkenny covers a topic relevant to this day and age. “The song is about acting like you’re fine when really you’re not,” Robert says, explaining the story behind “Fake Fine”. “When it’s all just pretending, the situation itself might not even be that bad. But, for some reason, something just isn’t right and you try to find out why that is.” Grace discusses the somewhat hazy feeling of being beside oneself. It’s finding yourself in the wrong movie, which ends up being about yourself, and hiding behind a mask in order to not reveal your true feelings. The irony of course being that masks play an especially important role these days – a fact that marvelously aligns with Robert’s clip to “Fake Fine”, in which he moves somewhere between sheer sarcasm, black humor, and the bittersweet hope for a better life.

The track entered the Spotify viral charts at #2 in his home country Ireland, #14 on the Shazam charts, and conquered the top 40 Irish airplay charts. And also over here it’s only a matter of time until “Fake Fine” will find its way into the hearts and ears of listeners!

ACHEIVEMENTS

His previous single “Be Your Friend” made it into the New Music Friday playlist on Spotify UK, was on rotation on Irish radio, and became track of the week on 2FMs Breakfast Show. While still in the process of being written, “Fake Fine” already reached over 700,000 views on TikTok and within only seven weeks, over 160,000 followers subscribed to him. Robert Grace has developed into a highly sought-after songwriter who has written tracks with Dan McDougall (The Wanted, The Shires), Blair MacKichan (Paloma Faith/Sia/Lily Allen) and Josh Wilkinson (One Direction/5 Seconds of Summer). The track before that, “Moving Fast”, was track of the week on 2FM and his song “The Good Place” made it into the influential Easy-Playlist on Spotify. The singer/songwriter from Kilkenny has also performed at Ireland’s biggest festivals, including “Electric Picnic” and “Independence.” Also, he has written songs with some of UK’s most reputable songwriters.
