The Young Bombs Show curtsey of MacKenzie Reynolds

YOUNG BOMBS “WRONG SIDE OF LOVE” VIDEO

Today, Young Bombs shared the official video for their wistful, country-tinged single featuring three-time GRAMMY Award winner Darius Rucker called “Wrong Side of Love.” The song, described by ABC News Radio as “a brooding ode to a doomed love story, set to a catchy and dance-able beat,” has racked up over one million global streams since its release.

Directed by Conan Jurek Karpinski and produced by Andrew Dixon, the amusing clip sees the Canadian duo embark on a journey to see their favorite country superstar—none other than the legendary Darius Rucker—in concert. With a few fellow quirky Rucker fans in tow, Martin and Tristan set their sights on Nashville only to find that the Canadian border has been closed. It’s only fitting that what would follow this disastrous road trip is a dance party in the wilderness with Bigfoot—who happens to be just as big of a Rucker fan as Young Bombs themselves. View the video HERE.

Built around Rucker’s honeyed croon, “Wrong Side of Love” is the final single from the duo’s debut EP, The Young Bombs Show, also out now on Astralwerks. Listen to the song HERE and the EP HERE. The set gathers a string of singles that have established the duo as among the dance-pop world’s most vibrant and versatile producers, including the openhearted “Better Day” with Aloe Blacc and the swooning, optimistic “Starry Eyes.”

“Wrong Side of Love” shows off Young Bombs at their most emotional, lending a textured arrangement to Rucker’s poignant pining for a lover who’s fallen “right back in somebody else’s arms.” The song starts with roiling pianos and other homey instrumentation that might feel familiar to fans of Rucker’s country singles, but from there the song soars. Rucker moves beyond his pain into anthemic whoa-ohs as the track ascends into a synthy daydream.

It’s a different look for the duo, but “Wrong Side of Love” is a brilliant capstone to the run of singles that make up The Young Bombs Show. Young Bombs first came to widespread acclaim as esteemed remixers, sharing upwards of 50 beloved reworks of tracks for artists like Nick Jonas, Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga, and Billie Eilish, among others. Since 2019, they’ve applied the same lively production to their own original tracks, which has resulted in the colorful singles on their new EP, spanning from heavenly bangers like “Starry Eyes” to more sensitive, stirring tracks like the Robinson-featuring “High Road.” As these songs have traveled, so has the duo. In recent years, they’ve played Lollapalooza, Ultra, Firefly Music Festival, and the Billboard Hot 100 Festival. They’ve also shared the stage with dance music luminaries like the Chainsmokers, Alesso, Galantis, and Diplo.

The Young Bombs Show tracklist:

  1. Wrong Side Of Love (feat. Darius Rucker)
  2. Better Day (feat. Aloe Blacc)
  3. Loyal (feat. GiGi)
  4. Don’t Let Them
  5. Starry Eyes
  6. High Road (feat. Robinson)

About Young Bombs:

In 2019, Young Bombs make the bold leap from sought-after remixers to artists. That leap remains driven by a personal and creative chemistry forged way back in the Vancouver high school where they became best friends. With nearly 100 million streams in four years, the duo of Martin and Tristan cooked up 53 remixes by 2018. Along the way, they lent their talents to everyone from Nick Jonas, Selena Gomez, and Lady Gaga to Billie Eilish, Alessia Cara, Post Malone, Khalid, and Bazzi.

In addition, they attracted the support of Tiësto, Kygo, and Don Diablo. Simultaneously, they graced the stages of blockbuster festivals such as Lollapalooza, Ultra, Firefly Music Festival, and the Billboard Hot 100 Festival. Not to mention, Young Bombs supported The Chainsmokers, Galantis, Diplo, and Alesso on tour around the globe and launched a coveted residency at Drai’s Beachclub in Vancouver. The upbeat and undeniable anthem “Starry Eyes,” their debut Astralwerks single, introduced a musicianship-centric style reliant on real instrumentation and genre-less creativity, shining a bright light on the future.

About Darius Rucker:

Rucker first achieved multi-Platinum status in the music industry as lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the GRAMMY Award-winning band Hootie & the Blowfish. Since releasing his first Country album in 2008, he’s earned a whole new legion of fans with four No. 1 albums on the Billboard Country chart, including RIAA Platinum-certified Learn to Live and True Believers, plus nine No. 1 singles at Country radio. In 2014, Rucker won his third career GRAMMY Award for Best Solo Country Performance with his 8x Platinum version of Old Crow Medicine Show’s “Wagon Wheel.” His latest single, “Beers And Sunshine,” was written via a Zoom session earlier this year and calls for slowing down to enjoy the simple things in life when the world feels out of control.

As a lifelong philanthropist, Rucker is a constant supporter of the MUSC Children’s Hospital in his hometown of Charleston, South Carolina. He has also raised millions of dollars for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through his annual Darius & Friends benefit concert and golf tournament, as well as for more than 200 charitable causes supporting public education and junior golf programs in South Carolina through the Hootie & the Blowfish Foundation. Rucker spent 2019 on the road with his Hootie & the Blowfish bandmates for the Group Therapy Tour as they celebrated the 25th anniversary of generation-defining smash Cracked Rear View in addition to the November 1 release of Imperfect Circle, their first album in nearly 15 years.

Steve Aoki × Frank Walker × AJ Mitchell

Today, two-time Grammy-nominated DJ/producer Steve Aoki, alongside rising fellow DJ/producer Frank Walker, and pop singer-songwriter, MTV Push/Vevo LIFT Artist, AJ Mitchell drop a refreshing high-energy summer collaboration “Imagine.” This new single calls us to imagine everything that comes with a relationship blending Aoki’s signature electro-pop sound with Walker’s dance-pop and Mitchell’s smoot breezy vocals, and is set to save the dancefloor this summer.

Aoki, Walker and Mitchell seamlessly blend their talents to create “Imagine”, a high-energy track that explores the highs and lows when imagining love. With catchy lyrics and a feel-good melody that combines underlying piano chords with sonic and techno beats, it transports you to your most desired state of love and the emotions felt in that ideal state. The chorus echoes “I want it with you” knowing that each listener can visualize their love and feel their own euphoria at the beat drop. The melody continually grows in strength as the lyrics confirm the power love can have in any situation…”if you imagine.”

“This track with Frank & AJ is something we poured our heart & souls into, and I’m so excited for it to be out just in time for Summer,” said Aoki. “The lyrics are something everyone can relate to, and the beat is something everyone can dance to. I wish we could bring it to you live in-person, but we have some special plans regardless to bring this to the world.”

“Imagine feels like such a game-changing song for me personally,” said Walker. “Creating a record alongside Steve has been incredible, he’s a legend in the dance scene and being a part of his creative process is unlike anything I’ve done before. Taking our production and adding AJ Mitchell into the mix took the record to a new level, he’s such a talented artist with a crazy voice. The three of us were able to come together with our own unique sounds to something truly special on Imagine. I can’t wait for the world to hear this one!”

“I’m very excited to be a part of such a fun record as “Imagine,” said Mitchell. “Steve has been one of my favorite people to work with. Him and Frank are both super talented and this is an awesome track you won’t be able to stop dancing to.”

Steve Aoki, the two-time Grammy-nominated producer/DJ is one of today’s most successful American cross-genre artists, collectively counting 2.8 billion music streams on Spotify. As the founder of the trendsetting record label, events/lifestyle company, and apparel line Dim Mak Records, which he founded in 1996, Aoki has helped launch the careers of global acts like The Chainsmokers, Bloc Party, The Bloody Beetroots, The Gossip, and The Kills, among many others. Dim Mak today counts more than 1,000 official releases from the biggest acts and most buzzing newcomers across EDM, indie rock, hip-hop and beyond over its two-decades-plus discography. As a solo artist, Aoki boasts a lauded discography that includes: Wonderland (2012), his debut solo album, which garnered him his first-ever Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronica Album; hip-hop centric Kolony (2017), and the Neon Future series, which includes Neon Future I (2014, certified gold by the RIAA), Neon Future II (2015), Neon Future III (2018) and the recently released Neon Future IV (April 2020); which has rocketed in streaming to date and received praise from singles such as “Maldad” ft. Maluma and “Let It Be Me” ft. Backstreet Boys. Recognized by Forbes as one of the top 5 world’s highest paid DJ’s and the world’s hardest working DJ, Aoki is “one of the most in-demand entertainers in the world” (Billboard), counting more than 250 tour dates per year. In 2012, Aoki founded THE AOKI FOUNDATION, which primarily supports organizations in the brain science and research areas with a specific focus on regenerative medicine and brain preservation. Most recently, Steve Aoki released his critically acclaimed memoir entitled BLUE: The Color of Noise published by St. Martin’s Press.

Following up on a massive 2019, Frank Walker has had a huge start to 2020. Touted as an iHeartRadio Future Star and a Billboard Rising Artist, this Toronto-native has captivated fans across the globe, owning main stages in Europe, Asia, and North America. Frank also supported Kygo on his “Kids In Love” worldwide tour. Backed by the industry’s best and fresh off a new record deal with Sony Music this producer is becoming a mainstay on Spotify’s Dance & Pop playlists. Destined for big things, Frank is coming off a collaboration with R3HAB and has had official remixes for Kygo, Marshmello, Chainsmokers, Alessia Cara, Bastille, and Loud Luxury. His recent singles ‘Heartbreak Back’ and ‘Only When It Rains’ both went top 10 on Canadian Top 40 radio, with the former gaining Gold status. Frank will be returning to Ultra Music Festival’s main stage this year and also secured a 2020 Vegas at Wynn where he will be playing 20 shows at Encore Beach Club & XS Nightclub.

Sporting a slick and show-stopping voice, sharp songwriting chops, and endless charisma, AJ Mitchell emerges as a stylish and soulful new leading man for pop R&B. Born and raised in Belleville, IL, he went from uploading highly-trafficked covers on social media to personally writing and recording his 2017 breakout single “Used To Be.” Clocking over 90 million Spotify streams to date, the song paved the way for a deal with Vol. 1 / Epic Records and saw AJ relocate to Los Angeles.

With over 100 million-plus streams on tracks such as “I Don’t Want You Back,”Girls”, “All My Friends”, “Talk So Much”, and “Move On” and nearly 8 million monthly listeners on Spotify, he’s cemented himself as 2020’s fastest rising star. Named a 2019 MTV Push artist and a 2019 Vevo LIFT artist and acclaimed by Billboard, Idolator, and Seventeen, he’s sold out numerous headline shows and performed on The Today Show and Good Day New York. Over the past year, his rapid rise only accelerated. AJ flexes his star power and vocal prowess on the Slow Dance EP. Preceded by “Move On” and the Top 40 single and title track “Slow Dance” [feat. Ava Max], his songwriting and show-stopping spirit once again take center stage on upbeat and undeniable new anthem “Out My Mind.” To date, AJ has had three songs in the Top 40 Pop Radio charts: “Girls”, “All My Friends” (#20), and “Slow Dance”. This past spring, AJ released his collaboration with Rich The Kid called “Spring Break”, and most recently unveiled his uplifting new single “Burn” in June. Following its release, “Burn” ranked as pop radio’s most added song. Now, he sets his sights on pop domination with every move as he gears up to release his highly anticipated debut full-length album Skyview this year.

Tina Turner illustrated by Mina Tocalini for 360 MAGAZINE.

Kygo × Tina Turner

Global superstar, producer and DJ, Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll – a.k.a Kygo, teams up with the incomparable, brilliant, and legendary Grammy Award winning superstar Tina Turner to unveil a remake of “What’s Love Got To Do With It” – Turner’s iconic #1 song that was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and is included in Rolling Stone Magazine’s list of “The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.” “What’s Love Got To Do With It” – out now via Sony Music International/Ultra Records/RCA Records, comes alongside a brand new video directed by Sarah Bahbah and stars Laura Harrier (Hollywood, Blackkklansman) and Charles Michael Davis (The Originals, The Vampire Diaries).

Says Kygo, “I couldn’t be more excited to collaborate with Tina Turner, who is an icon that I grew up listening to. ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It’ is one of my all-time favorite songs so to have a chance to rework it has been a very special moment in my career. I love working around timeless vocals and although it’s challenging to preserve elements of the original track and adding my own touch, I’m extremely happy with how it turned out!” It’s been a big summer for Kygo who back in May released his critically acclaimed third full-length album Golden Hour  which features his hit single  “Lose Somebody” with OneRepublic as well as “Higher Love” with Whitney Houston, the latter of which has more than 651 million audio and video streams combined and charted at Top 40 radio. Kygo kicked off his album release day with performances of “Lose Somebody” with OneRepublic and “The Truth” with Valerie Broussard on Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series and will be performing on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon with OneRepublic on July 22nd.

Whether behind the piano in his studio or headlining a sold-out festival, Kygo quietly reaffirms his status as a prodigious talent, forward-thinking producer, dynamic DJ, and influential global superstar. The Norwegian musician born Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll first introduced himself in 2013 and quietly became one of the most ubiquitous hitmakers in the world. Amassing 15 billion cumulative global audio and video streams and 3.3 billion YouTube views by 2020, he has broken numerous streaming records. He emerged as Spotify’s “Breakout Artist of 2015” powered by “Firestone” [feat Conrad Sewell] and “Stole the Show” [feat. Parson James]—certified gold or platinum in sixteen countries. These smashes cemented him as “the fastest artist to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify.” Kygo earned one of his biggest hits with the multiplatinum “It Ain’t Me” [feat. Selena Gomez], going Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 and clocking nearly 1 billion Spotify streams.

He maintained his momentum on the Stargazing EP and second album, Kids In Love. The ensuing Kids In Love Tour canvased four continents and sold out arenas. He ignited “Remind Me To Forget” [feat. Miguel] with 812 million total combined streams and views. Other collaborations include mega-hits with U2, Imagine Dragons, The Chainsmokers, Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, and Chelsea Cutler. In 2019, Kygo unleashed “Higher Love” with Whitney Houston and generated another 1 billion combined streams and views in addition to leaving his imprint on a classic. He heralded his 2020 third full-length album Golden Hour [Sony Music International/Ultra Records/RCA Records] with the anthems “Like It Is” [with Zara Larsson & Tyga] and “I’ll Wait” [with Sasha Sloan]. Now, Golden Hour signals Kygo’s brightest moment yet.

Tina Turner is revered around the world, inspiring millions through her own personal story, her singing, her dancing and beyond. Her music legacy is a collection of some of the best-known songs of all time, just utter the phrase “You’re simply the best” you’d be hard-pressed to find a person who doesn’t know the next line! Turner rose to prominence in 1958, aged 19, as a duo with her then-husband Ike Turner, initially as a featured singer with Ike Turner’s Kings of Rhythm, recording under the name “Little Ann” on the track ‘Boxtop’.

Her introduction to the public as Tina Turner began in 1960 as a member of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue with the hit single ‘A Fool In Love’ in 1960. Success followed with a string of notable hits, including ‘It’s Gonna Work Out Fine’ (1961), ‘River Deep – Mountain High’ (1966), ‘Proud Mary’ (1971), and ‘Nutbush City Limits’ (1973). In 1976, following a string of personal altercations, Tina left the musical duo and filed for divorce. A solo career ensued…In 1977, she went back on stage touring rigorously, then in November 1983, she released a cover of Al Green’s ‘Let’s Stay Together’ which became a hit. In June 1984 she released the ‘Private Dancer’ album and it’s second single ‘What’s Love Got to Do with It’ became a global smash as did the album.

From there, Tina became, and continues to be, one of the most loved artists in the world and this incredible career continues to build. In March 2018, ‘Tina’ – The Tina Turner Musical, opened at London’s Aldwych Theatre to amass acclaim with Radio 4’s Front Row calling it “One of the most impressive musicals I’ve ever seen” and The Times saying it is a “… raw musical triumph”. The smash hit ‘Tina’ – The Tina Turner Musical opened at Broadway’s Lunt-Fontanne Theatre with ABC News raving, “Mind blowing and life changing. A story that needs to be shared, especially today,” and Billboard saying, “The powerhouse voice, jackhammer legs, and above all, the heart.

Not to be missed.” Her memoirs, ‘Tina Turner: My Love Story’, released in October 2018, was also met with a similar adulation, “Turner comes across as courageous, optimistic, big-hearted and generous” (Sunday Times), “Astonishing, soul-baring – the must-read memoir by rock’s greatest survivor” (Daily Mail) it also made the Mail On Sunday’s Books Of The Year list for 2018. In 2019, to celebrate Tina’s 80th birthday, her husband Erwin published “That´s My Life”, a Limited Edition photo book accompanied by letters from friends such as Mick Jagger, Bryan Adams and Beyonce.

KYGO Third Album “Golden Hour”

Traditionally, the golden hour marks either the first hour of light after sunrise or the last hour of light before sunset. In both cases, it heralds a change. Representing another new dawn, global superstar, producer and DJ, Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll – a.k.a Kygo, has today released his aptly-titled third full-length album Golden Hour via Sony Music International/Ultra Records/RCA Records. The album features 18 songs including previously released singles “The Truth” with Valerie Broussard, “Lose Somebody” with OneRepublic, “Freedom” with Zak Abel, “I’ll Wait” with Sasha Sloan, “Like It Is” with Zara Larsson and Tyga, and “Higher Love” with Whitney Houston, the latter of which has more than 651 million audio and video streams combined and charted at Top 40 radio. Full album tracklisting below. Kygo kicked off his album release day with performances of “Lose Somebody” with OneRepublic and “The Truth” with Valerie Broussard on Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series. During 2018, Kygo began to assemble what would become Golden Hour between a marathon of touring. While writing music throughout the year, he simultaneously partnered with Sony to launch his own label and management company, Palm Tree Records. Taking an active role in signing and promoting artists, songwriters, and producers, he hit his stride in the studio alongside Palm Tree talent, including Petey, Nick Furlong, Valerie Broussard, Dreamlab and Tom Martin. This “family” approach added a new dimension to the process. “I was fortunate enough to work with some of my favorite artists and writers on Golden Hour,” said Kygo. “There are quite a few songs on the album where I had the chance to collaborate with our team. These are artists I believe in. Working with some of my favorite up-and-coming musicians really made these songs special for the album.” Golden Hour also sees Kygo’s genre-breaking vision come to life. His single “Like It Is” with Zara Larsson and Tyga spotlighted co-production by Petey and represented another progression by incorporating hip-hop verses. Kygo’s melodies, airy drums, and delicate piano locked into a matchmade in heaven with Zara Larsson’s voice as Tyga turned up on a nimbly rhymed cameo. On its heels, he reunited with Sasha Sloan for the soulful tropical house anthem “I’ll Wait.”

Elsewhere, “Freedom” with Zak Abel elevated his signature sound with a steeple-size vocal performance from Abel; Tom Martin co-wrote “To Die For;” Valerie Broussard co-wrote “Don’t Give Up On Love” and “The Truth,” the latter of which she also lends her vocals on; and Nick Furlong co-wrote “Say You Will” and “Someday.” “Someday” was also co-written by Zac Brown who lends his vocals to the track. These 18 songs illuminate the scope of Kygo’s creativity and the bold breaking light of Golden Hour. “With every album or next song I’m working on, I always try pushing myself to evolve and experiment with new ideas,” he goes on. “I couldn’t be more proud of these 18 songs. It was really hard to narrow the final tracklist to just 18. The album has a few songs that are more up-tempo than my earlier albums, but still have the classic ‘Kygo’ sound.” Kygo will perform Golden Hour in its entirety during his virtual Golden Hour Festival presented in partnership with live streaming entertainment leader LiveXLive and Palm Tree Crew today at 4PM ET. The event will be broadcasted on Kygo’s YouTube channel powered by LiveXLive. Fans can also watch on @KygoMusic and @LiveXLive social channels including Twitch, TikTok and Facebook, as well as on LiveXLive’s apps and website.

Kygo has also partnered with Calm, the No. 1 app for sleep, meditation andrelaxation, to create a custom 60-minute “Golden Hour” mix exclusively available on the platform.
