Wedding Must-Haves

Happy wedding season! Let’s look into some marital must-haves to make your special day perfect.

  • DJ/Band

This is an absolute must-have, of course. Music plays such an important role in having a romantic, enjoyable, and memorable celebration. Finding a DJ isn’t super hard, and their services can vary in price. A band, on the other hand, can be a little more difficult. However, bands provide a different atmosphere to add to the day that the guests can look forward to.  Music keeps things lively and energetic, and is sure to get everyone dancing.

  • Barda

Whether guests pay for drinks or you provide an open tab, having a bar is very necessary. Having both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for guests during the reception is a great party idea.

  • Photographer/Videographer

Photographers have always been a necessity for weddings. They capture beautiful moments to always look back on to remember the wonderful day. Something that this generation has made more popular for weddings is videographers. Personally, looking back at videos is one of the best ways to relive a memory. Videographers not only film, but also put together a romantic short films to re-watch the most precious moments.

  • All You Can Eat Appetizers

Who wants to celebrate when everyone is hangry? Having consistent appetizers is so important to keep guests happy. Sometimes, people don’t love sitting down for a huge meal–especially when drinking and dancing. Having small bites will keep everyone happy.

  • A Playlist

Make sure you have an idea of what songs you do and don’t want to play. Don’t stress about it on the day of!

  • Wedding Direction Signs

Not every wedding needs direction signs, and honestly, sometimes guests don’t even bother looking. However, providing directions to parking, restrooms, reception, food, ceremony and other wedding venue locations could be beneficial for guests.

  • Wedding Menu

If you choose to have a buffet or serve the same meal to every guest, the wedding menu is not needed. However, wedding menus can be beneficial and guests will appreciate having dish options.

  • Sparklers

Sparklers are usually used for the bride and groom’s grand exit. They add a beautiful and spectacular touch to moments, photos and videos.

  • Plan For Inclement Weather

If the wedding is planned for outdoors, it’s always important to think of a plan B, just in case the weather changes. Coming up with a backup plan will save you the stress.

  • Just Relax

Forgetting about materialistic things for a moment. Remember to enjoy every step of the wedding planning journey and your special day. Everything happens for a reason and will fall into place, no matter how stressful it seems at the time.

The Ultimate Summer Kickback

On Friday, Forever 21 hosted the Ultimate Summer Kickback. Guests were invited to a poolside afternoon party at a beautiful home in Beverly Hills, and enjoyed complementary food and drinks. Beginning at 1pm and ending at 7pm, guests were encouraged to rideshare to the event, but offsite parking was also available at the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel. After parking, guests were given a ticket to shuttled over to the mansion with other partygoers. This is where the party started–the short ride to the house was accompanied by music and the opportunity to talk to the other guests. After you checked in, you were welcomed into the house, with plenty of photo opportunities, a pool to relax in, food and drinks, shopping, and even an embroidery station, Forever 21 truly hosted the Ultimate Summer Kickback.

The first thing you noticed upon entering the mansion was the Forever 21 Runway, most guests were dressed in Forever 21 and there were two spaces available to buy the company’s merchandise. Guests were given the chance to strut the runway with friends in Forever 21’s latest styles and get some great pictures. Behind the runway, the massive backyard was filled with food, a grassy area to sit, a photo booth, and the pool. A gazebo decorated with flowers and vines held a photo booth where guests could send themselves the photos, or take their own. On the way to the photo booth you passed the pool, two food areas, a bar, and a bunch of seating areas.

The Ultimate Summer Kickback had two caterers, one serving fruit, snacks, and red, white and blue popsicles, while the other served tacos. In addition to the complimentary food, there was also a variety of drinks–both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. While guests ate and drank, they could walk around, take photos, socialize, or lounge by the pool. The infinity pool overlooked a small pond in the backyard and was filled with festive summer floaties for all to enjoy. Between, the tanning, eating, drinking, dancing, and socializing Forever 21 started off the holiday weekend right!

The guestlist was packed with guests, like TikTok star Lauren Kettering, to content creators like Dontae Catlett, Natasha Olivia Jones, August Reinhardt, Courtney Revolution, Jess Billings, and Kelli Erdmann. Even models such as Jeremy Urann, Austin Brown, and skater Chris Chann were in attendance at the poolside party.

VIP guests were invited into a closed room where they could shop Forever 21’s newest styles while all other guests were able to purchase items outside. A seamstress was available to customize any item you wanted, allowing all guests to bring home a Forever 21 memento from the Ultimate Summer Kickback.

Snoop Dogg Celebrates World Gin Day with His Own Gin INDOGGO

The Dogg father himself, Snoop Dogg celebrated World Gin Day with his very own INDOGGO® Gin like a boss! Terrence J and Snoop’s son Cordell Broadus hosted the rooftop celebration for a specialty curated pairings lunch where the crew sipped on the INDOGGO Long Beach Lemonade’s, The INDOGGO  Remix & the classic INDOGGO Gin N Juice as they dined on shrimp tacos and pasta primavera. Snoop Dogg joined his son and crew for the pool party at the Highlight Room where the entire rooftop was decked out with INDOGGO® bottles, swag and decorations.

The hosts made sure the drinks kept flowing and sent out multiple rounds of gin & juice cocktails along with bottles of INDOGGO to all the guests. The DJ spun all of Snoop’s legendary hits and made sure to play the cult classic “Gin N Juice” on repeat as it got the crowd pumped every time and turned the entire space into a giant Karaoke session. Always one to support his fans, Snoop stopped to take pictures with all the guests before grabbing some INDOGGO®  to go and making rooftop cheers for World Gin Day!

Bubby Boozy Beverages

The Original Cocktail Book to Make Your Bubbly Boozy Beverages Even Boozier

Truly LIIT (Long Island Iced Tea), Lemon Drop It Like It’s Hot, Lost in the Jungle Juice and much more!

Author Casie Vogel, a self-declared lover of all things carbonated, is sharing her expertise to help you make every season hard-seltzer season. “At 4 to 6 percent alcohol content, it’s an easy beverage to imbibe any time of day. But sometimes you have to take it up a notch…or several,” she said. “What’s the right ratio? What actually tastes like a cocktail, doesn’t skimp, but also doesn’t immediately send you to blackout town? Well, my friend, that is where my help comes in. The recipes are dangerously delicious and designed to get the party going, whether it’s a Friday night pregame or your next big party—or if it’s just been a tough day (girl, you do you). Instead of that next round of probably (always) regrettable tequila shots, pick up this book and let’s get bubbly.”

The Hard Seltzer Cocktail Book offers everything you need to add a little snap, sparkle, and pop to your favorite cocktails.

Upgrade Your Memorial Day Weekend Party

Preparing For Memorial Day Weekend and The Start of Summer With Party Expert Meredith Staggers

With Memorial Day approaching, it’s finally time to celebrate the unofficial start to summer. From family gatherings and entertaining friends, how are you going to prepare for the long weekend?

Meredith Staggers, founder & owner of Cake & Confetti, shares how she is preparing for MDW get-togethers, along with her affordable home décor picks and best practices on partying inside and outside the home, which includes notable DIY projects and entertaining ideas, to kick off BBQ season in style.

With Memorial Day this weekend, Meredith Staggers has provided some tips below, to create fun and unique looks to spruce up any party.

On Décor

  • Let’s start with an affordable home décor pick, like an easy tablespace idea. You may be tempted to decorate with traditional flag decor, but I challenge you to think outside the box a little bit! Pattern mixing adds interest to the table and definitely doesn’t have to be complicated.
  • Stick to a color scheme. I love choosing two or three colors and mixing patterns within those colors. For holidays like Memorial Day and July 4th, use red, white and blue but instead of flags or stripes, I suggest adding some gingham and other fun patterns!
  • Add in layers. I love the texture the jute placemat adds here and instead of putting the blue plates directly on the placemat, I added a slightly larger white plate between the two. It helps make the patterned plate stand out!
  • Buy disposable utensils, napkins and inexpensive pieces from places like Home Goods or Tuesday Morning. For summer hosting I like to stick to things I can throw away for easy clean up. I picked up these gingham napkins and gold plastic utensils for a few dollars. Inexpensive items like this allow you to mix and match patterns without committing too much!
  • For sustainability purposes, I always have reusable cotton napkins and find that cleaning them with Arm & Hammer Odor Blasters after each party gets the job done and leaves them feeling like new!

On Food

  • You cannot throw a good party without creative food ideas for you guests. Since I have a lot on my plate (literally), I like to simply dress up store-bought sugar cookies, and cupcakes with fruit and sprinkles! This takes the time out of cooking your own baked goods. However, it adds a little something extra than just using the basic store bought ones. By adding fruit and sprinkles to my deserts it gives it more of a personal touch.
  • Next up is my personal favorite The Dash Popcorn Maker. I suggest making DIY popcorn cones with patriotic paper. It is so fun and easy, and the kids absolutely love it!
  • Finally, I like to put out personal snack boards. I fill them with sweet and savory snacks that kids and adults go crazy for and it changes up from the normal cheese board.
  • We’re doing our best to use this time at home to create new traditions- and by celebrating with family and having your kids cook or set up with you is something that helps my family create these precious moments! My daughter Piper loves to help me in the kitchen, so whenever I let her lend a hand she is always thrilled!

Three Ways To Amp up Your Home Entertainment

Your home should be the place you are most comfortable. On top of that, if you’re the kind of person who loves to entertain guests, you want your home to be a place where others can not only be comfortable but have a memorable experience. Here are three things you can do to create a home where you can maximize entertaining others or simply allow yourself to really unwind.

1. Audio Is Everything

When you think of an entertaining event, is it possible to think of one that’s totally silent? One reason people love seeing movies in theaters is because the surround-sound audio seems larger than life. When you attend concerts, nothing gets your blood pumping quite like feel the bass resonating in your chest cavity. Whether you aim to entertain with a great home theater or with quality parties, your home audio Nashville must be top-notch. Watching movies is one thing; experiencing them is another.

2. Drinks Must Be on-Hand

Any good event has interesting drinks available. That doesn’t even mean they have to be alcoholic — having a unique craft soda available can add a unique element to a get-together. Make sure the space you’re hosting parties in has drinks nearby. You might want to have a mini-fridge stocked in the basement, or you could even use an everyday cooler. However it’s done, the point is to make sure nobody has to ask for a drink or question where they might be.

3. Lighting Is the Cherry on Top

Going to a friend’s house for some drinks is a party, and parties are great. However, the difference between a party and an event is the ambiance. Imagine going to the exact same event, but their living room has been rearranged and they’ve hung up some interesting lights to create a completely different atmosphere. You are bound to remember that event more than the other everyday parties you’ve attended recently.

You can accomplish unique lighting in many different ways, and most of them are very simple. The easiest is to buy some string lights that simply plug into your outlets. They can easily be hung temporarily and stored for later use — it shouldn’t take any longer than 10 minutes to set them up every time. You can even experiment with using various colored bulbs in your existing fixtures. You don’t have to go crazy, but just doing something a little different will make a big difference.

It doesn’t take much to make a party stand out. If you have a quality sound system, you’ll already be leaps and bounds above the average event that has TV speakers or a run-of-the-mill stereo. Just like going out to eat, your friends will be happy if they never have to ask for a refill on their beverage, and you can really make the event memorable by changing the atmosphere. Don’t think you have to do all of this for other people, though — doing all of these same things for yourself will make for an incredibly relaxing night in.
