ATZARÓ GROUP beach club and restaurant in Ibiza via 360 MAGAZINE

Atzaró Group Beach Club

The sensational Atzaró Group beach club and restaurant Atzaró Beach, situated on the sparkling beach of Cala Nova in Ibiza’s North-East, is now open for Summer 2022. Listed by Conde Nast Traveller as one of “the best beach clubs in the world for summer 2022,” Atzaró Beach has become a firm-favourite of the discerning traveller, as well as an A-list hotspot. It’s the perfect place for an upscale beach lunch or dinner hideaway with unparalleled aquamarine sea views.

The food concept at Atzaró Beach is new this year. Top London chef James Adams has created a mouthwatering menu with the emphasis on sharing plates, and grilled choices, using produce grown on the Atzaró estate. James Adams has been a chef and food consultant for over 16 years in some of London’s top restaurant kitchens and is famous for his work with Skye Gyngell at Spring within Somerset House, at celebrated country hotel Heckfield Place, chef at River Cafe, menu and planting direction at Petersham Nurseries.

The new menu this year is full of wholesome, light and delicious dishes, with plenty of seafood and vegetarian choices, created with organic fruit and vegetable ingredients harvested from the Atzaró Vegetable Garden. Sharing plates can be enjoyed on the comfortable daybeds or sofas beachside.

Watch the morning sun rise over the sea and enjoy a healthy breakfast of either chia pudding with coconut and raspberries or perhaps an acai bowl with banana and pineapple. For something a bit more substantial try the grilled chorizo with fried eggs, roasted pepper and rocket salad on toast or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.

For a sharing plate lunch with friends, choose from a delicious selection including tuna ceviche with mango, cucumber and lime, burrata with sourdough and pesto, baby squid with lime allioli, padron peppers, grilled asparagus with romesco sauce and chopped almonds or beef carpaccio with parmesan and rocket. Salad options include watermelon salad with feta and mint or a tasty beetroot and goat’s cheese salad with pumpkin seeds. There are a range of pasta dishes and from the grill you can order lobster with garlic butter, sea bass, and T-bone or Entrecôte steaks. For the more traditional there are a choice of four paellas to share.

Sweet treats include San Sebastian cheesecake with a raspberry compote, grilled pineapple with coconut ice cream and chilli or orujo panacotta with strawberries as well as homemade ice creams and sorbets.

In 2019 the interiors and exteriors of Atzaró Beach were refurbished by Atzaró Design, the group’s talented in-house interiors team. The concept is paired back boho style, with a super- relaxed authentic mood, reminiscent of 70’s Ibiza. The look is designed to work with the environment and combines natural woods, terracotta pots, an abundance of local plants, cacti and palms. The colour palette of soft neutral sand tones with pops of vibrant compliments the pristine beach and crystal-clear waters of the sea beyond.

Straw cacti and potted plants frame the tables, the rustic wood pergola provides dappled shade and the thirty double daybeds are perfect for those long hot summer days. Hanging rattan lampshades add some low-key atmosphere to balmy nights. Relax on a comfortable mix of sofas, stools, tables and chairs with hanging bamboo swing seats as well as iconic rattan peacock armchairs. An Ibizan wooden fishing boat provides an extra seating area with cushions to create a casual and relaxed feeling.

Natura Ora

In celebration of Earth Day this month, The St. Regis Bora Bora is delighted to officially launch Natura Ora. Tahitian for “Living Nature,” Natura Ora is the resort’s sustainability initiative dedicated to protecting the environment, supporting local people and communities, preserving French Polynesian culture, and practicing more responsible consumption.

“For several months, our teams have worked closely with our new Sustainability Development Officer, Lucie-Léa Viot, to develop the Natura Ora concept and we are excited to officially debut this important sustainability initiative in celebration of Earth Day,” states General Manager Emmanuel Richardet. “Our goal is to create lasting, pro-active programs under the Natura Ora umbrella that inspire colleagues and the local community to work together to protect our fenua (Tahitian for land), support the people and preserve the culture of French Polynesia.”

With an emphasis on collaboration and co-creation, the resort is working with various organizations to achieve Natura Ora’s goals including the local environmental protection organization, Ia Vai Ma Noa; Amazones Pacific, a non-profit organization supporting women whose lives have been compromised by cancer; Pae Tai Pae Uta, a waste management consultancy firm; and the Agency for Environment & Energy Management (ADEME).

“This is such an incredible destination that is rich with cultural and environmental treasures,” states Lucie-Léa Viot, the resort’s Sustainability Development Officer. “I’m proud to be given this opportunity to bring our vision for Natura Ora to life to ensure that French Polynesia’s fenua, its people, and its culture thrive for many years to come.”

Projects launched as part of the Natura Ora initiative include:

Waste Management – Repurposing of electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)

The resort has partnered with the local charity, Ia Via Ma Noa, to collect and repurpose electronic and electrical equipment for donation to local families and businesses in need.

Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Market

As part of Natura Ora’s mission to support good health practices, an on-property weekly market was established to sell fresh, locally-sourced produce at below market prices to help make healthy eating more accessible and affordable for colleagues and the local community.

Coral Planting

“In French Polynesia, the protection of marine life, particularly the preservation of corals, is

essential for biodiversity,” states Sustainability Development Officer, Lucie-Léa Viot. To that end, the resort will launch a coral reforestation program that invites guests to actively participate in the planting of coral with the resort’s marine specialist. Guests will receive a diploma for their work and can follow the evolution of the coral they planted year after year.

The Green Council

This 10-person team was curated from different resort departments for the purpose of brainstorming and implementing new concepts and programs in accordance with Natura Ora’s goals and areas of focus.

Annual Earth Hour Event

On March 26 this year, the resort held its first annual commemoration of Earth Hour to increase awareness about the need to reduce energy consumption to help save the planet. Between 8:30 PM – 9:30 PM, electric lights were extinguished on the resort’s Main Beach—380 candles and two fire pits were lit to illuminate the area. The event included live music and a presentation about the origins and purpose of Earth Hour.

Additional Natura Ora projects in the pipeline include taking waste management practices to the next level by increasing recycling rates and improving sorting, further development of the coral reforestation program, installment of water fountains to eliminate the use of plastic water bottles, and increasing the consumption of local products to decrease the resort’s carbon footprint. For resort colleagues, more wellness offerings and volunteer opportunities are also in development.

About The St. Regis Bora BoraThis expansive 44-acre tropical paradise combines French Polynesian hospitality with St. Regis’ renowned service. The resort’s 90-rooms are comprised of charming garden view villas, beachside villas, two-bedroom reef side villas perfect for families, and the largest overwater villas in the South Pacific. Atzaro Hotel Food via Authentic Travel PR for use by 360 Magazine

New Atzaro Hotel Menu

Atzaró Agroturismo Hotel and Spa has opened for the 2022 season with some exciting new food news for global gourmands. This year they have teamed up with British chef and food consultant James Adams to create a new concept for the hotel’s restaurants.

James Adams has been a chef and food consultant for over 16 years in some of London’s top restaurant kitchens and is famous for his work with Skye Gyngell at Spring within Somerset House, devising the menus and farm planting at celebrated country hotel Heckfield Place, chef at River Cafe, and menu and planting direction at Petersham Nurseries.

Adams said, “I’m thrilled to be collaborating with Atzaró Group on the new food concepts—the new food is all about abundance, organic ingredients, Atzaró farm-grown fresh produce, simplicity and taste—delicious farm-to-fork Mediterranean dishes made with healthy and natural ingredients grown right here in the estate’s vegetable garden–Atzaró on a plate.”

Popular with island residents, visitors and hotel guests, Atzaro‘s garden-farmed terrace and finca restaurant, ‘La Veranda’, is situated at the heart of the hotel, with an outdoor terrace beneath a vine-strewn pergola. Fragrant jasmine, olive trees, bougainvillea and nearby pomegranate trees frame views to manicured lawns, pools, the valley, and mountains beyond. You may also see the occasional friendly peacock making an appearance. Atzaró‘s second restaurant, ‘The Orange Tree’, opens between July and September, and can be found in a beautiful grand courtyard beneath palm trees and a pergola twinkling with lights, the perfect setting for a romantic al fresco dinner under the stars.

On the new menu

For starters and salads try a creamy mozzarella salad with sweet Atzaró oranges and black olives, fried ricotta stuffed courgette flowers from the vegetable garden with local honey or a tangy tomato salad with anchovies and capers.  For a seafood option, diners can enjoy locally caught clams with slow-cooked fennel and saffron alioli or for a bit of heat go for the grilled squid with chili and rocket salad.  Vegans will love the simplicity of the plant-based avocado salad with butterleaf lettuce and honey mustard dressing.

For mains try the spinach and ricotta gnocchi with tomato and green olive tapenade or the monkfish on rosemary skewers with courgette and pine nut salad with chili mint dressing.  Meat options on the menu include slow-cooked lamb leg with apricots, saffron potatoes and leeks or the grilled beef filet with Harissa, Chimichurri, and slow-cooked cabbage.

Desserts this year have a whole new homemade appeal and include a delicious burnt lemon tart with pistachio ice-cream, warm almond and pear tart with Zabaglione ice cream, a very special champagne jelly with strawberries and cream or the hotel’s signature sweet Atzaró orange cake made with  fresh clementines, saville, and navel oranges grown in the farm with creme fraiche and Atzaró’s own home-made marmalade.

Food trends for 2022 are more than ever about seasonal, local produce grown on the land using sustainable methods.  Guests want to be at one with nature during their stay and to see where the food on the menu comes from. Atzaró is one of the new-generation of five star rural garden hotels who embrace this philosophy as part of their natural heritage as a former working orange farm. Take a wander along the walkways in the vast Atzaró Vegetable Garden and see 3 hectares beds bursting with herbs, vegetables and fruit trees grown with bio-dynamic farming methods. The land is farmed organically, watered by the estate’s natural well and harvested daily by the garden’s team to ensure the produce is as fresh as it possibly can be.

About Atzaro

Atzaro is 13-hectare estate of orange groves, tropical palms, manicured Mediterranean gardens, and an abundant three-hectare organic vegetable garden.  The site of a 300-year-old finca (originally a working orange farm), the hotel launched in 2004 to rapturous acclaim and since then has become a firm favourite of visitors including Kate Hudson, Rihanna, Shakira, Chiara Ferragni and the Fendi family amongst others. In recent years, the hotel has completely redefined the luxury Agroturismo heritage hotel category with its high level of service, quality, signature pared-back style, and lavish gardens so that guests can immerse themselves in a 360-degree nature-connected sustainable hotel stay.

Brooks Lake Lodge & Spa

Wyoming Guest Ranch Brooks Lake Lodge & Spa Celebrates 100 Years of Adventurous Getaways

Brooks Lake Lodge & Spa is celebrating a milestone 100 years in July 2022, creating memorable vacations for guests at its stunning lakeside location deep in the Wyoming backcountry of the Shoshone National Forest since its construction in 1922 as a stopover for travelers to Yellowstone National Park. While the lodge has evolved over the past century, for decades it has provided an exclusive, all-inclusive resort experience, offering a rustic yet luxurious escape near Yellowstone, Grand Teton National Park and Jackson Hole that combines Western pioneer-era charm with modern amenities.

The year was 1922: President Warren G. Harding spoke at the dedication of the newly commissioned Lincoln Memorial. Construction began on the original Yankee Stadium. The Girl Scouts started making their very first sugar cookies to sell door to door, and Prohibition trudged on. Meanwhile, the year also saw the creation of a much-needed stopover for travelers heading to Yellowstone National Park, a comfortable haven for outdoor adventure in a perfect mountain destination. The resulting Brooks Lake Lodge & Spa celebrates its centennial anniversary this July. Initially called the Two-Gwo-Tee Inn, the Shoshone word for “spear,” the 100-year-old lodge is nestled in the Rocky Mountain wilds of Wyoming adjacent to 300-acre alpine Brooks Lake. That ideal location quickly helped the original remote inn transform into a dude ranch and then into the luxury guest ranch and all-inclusive resort it is today.

“From the beginning, the mission of Brooks Lake Lodge has been to offer guests an out-of-this-world escape where they can engage with the outdoors in ways that allow them to relax and recharge,” says Brooks Lake Lodge General Manager Matthew Tousignant. “The fact that we are now delighted and grateful to celebrate 100 years of hospitality is testament to the continuing need for true immersion in the natural world, which is becoming increasingly difficult but more critical than ever before.”

Hidden away in Shoshone National Forest but within easy driving distance to Yellowstone, Grand Teton National Park, and Jackson Hole, the 25-acre crowd-free property seamlessly blends its pioneer-era foundation with modern amenities. For instance, the main lodge, constructed in a record four months in a Western Craftsman architectural style in keeping with Yellowstone’s “Parkitecture,” has been carefully preserved. Décor details evoke the grandness of the time – magnificent stone hearths, antler, and wagon-wheel chandeliers, plush leather furniture, stained-glass windows – while simultaneously offering current-day comforts such as sink-into feather beds, state-of-the-art spa treatments, freshly prepared and locally sourced gourmet meals and free Wi-Fi.

The views from the property’s perch at 9,200 feet above sea level just one mile from the North American Continental Divide – and including the Pinnacle Buttes, Austin Peak and Brooks Mountain – could not be more jaw-dropping, inviting visitors into the surrounding natural playground for the range of outdoor adventure that is the hallmark of this all-inclusive getaway. The breathtaking setting with its majestic mountains and endless evergreens even compelled Bryant B. Brooks, the seventh governor of Wyoming and Brooks Lake’s namesake, to write in 1889 upon his discovery of the valley, “Among the fir and pine there glistened a lake … what a sight! I stood closer that day to nature’s heart than ever before.”

Summer and winter activities on the property and in the more than 2 million neighboring acres of pristine national forest and mountain-ringed farmland focus on connecting guests of all ages with the area’s natural abundance and include such authentic and immersive experiences as:

  • Horseback riding along trails and in the arena with experienced wranglers, as well as on glamping-style overnight pack trips complete with backcountry golf, hiking, and fishing; Hiking for all skill levels, from short nature trails to summitting an 11,000-foot peak;Year-round fishing for trout in Brooks Lake, complete with the chance for guests to have their catches brought back to the lodge to be cooked up for dinner; Canoeing around the stunning Brooks Lake; Archery lessons and target practice with expert instructors; Skiing and snowshoeing on miles of groomed trails or into the backcountry; Expert-guided wildlife excursions; Stargazing tours of the pristine Wyoming heavens; and Snowmobiling into the nearby forests, including 2 million acres of scenic terrain.

At day’s end, guests – who are treated to the highest level of service that can only come with a 1-to-1 staff-to-guest ratio – can enjoy a restorative treatment in the relaxing Rocky Mountain Spa, designed to replicate the National Historic Register of Places-designated main lodge and featuring a tranquility room, dry sauna, fitness center and 11-by-14-foot hot tub with incredible mountain views (spa treatments priced separately). They also can peruse the ever-expanding collection of Western fine art and sculpture before retreating to the handful of lodge rooms – individually decorated with handcrafted lodgepole pine furnishings and goose-down comforters – or private cabins sporting wood-burning stoves and inviting sitting areas, each ensuring a quiet and restful stay.

In addition, all guest meals are included: The chef serves hearty Western breakfasts every morning, filling lunches at noon and gourmet dinner nightly in the homey Great Hall, as well as Governor’s Tea with hors d’oeuvres for a pick-me-up in the cozy, fireplace-centered Tea Room. Meanwhile, the Cowboy Bar within the lodge serves up an extensive selection of spirits along with fun and casual nighttime entertainment, echoing the charming and wholesome atmosphere of a bygone era.

Brooks Lake Lodge & Spa will celebrate its centennial with a grand open-to-the-public party that will take place at the lodge on Saturday July 2, 2022 (check the Brooks Lake Lodge website for details; no overnight reservations are available for July 2).

Discover Puerto Rico × Pantone

Boriqua Interior Designer Cristina Villalón curates tips on how to best incorporate the color Puerto Rico Sunshine into a space. This fiery red-orange color created by Pantone is a combination of the sunbeams that grace the island throughout the day, refined by a physicist and professor at the University of Puerto Rico. Villalón, a leading designer in Puerto Rico with projects all over the Americas is the ideal eye to recommend how to integrate Puerto Rico Sunshine into any room or décor.

According to Villalón, orange is a dynamic color. It should be used to add energy to a room and make a space come alive. Thus, if you reside in a cold place, adding an orange wall will automatically add warmth and ebullience to the space.

Puerto Rico Sunshine alongside neutral tones such as gray have a neutralizing effect to tone down the brightness. For full island-vibes, blues also complement orange beautifully and make the perfect combination in a vibrant beach house or beachy themed room. It is recommended to use only one vivid color, like Puerto Rico Sunshine, in any given space. Using a neutral palette and natural textures, then adding pops of this bold orange in accessories makes for a soothing yet cheerful space. Painting an entire room a strong, overwhelming color can be a bit too much for most interior design tastes. Villalón recommends painting one wall in a room the brighter, statement-making color, and the rest a more neutral tone. Not only will the accent wall stand out and become a focal point, but it won’t overpower the rest of the décor elements and make you want to run out of the room! Other trends include incorporating accent colors in a wall mural. A wall mural permits you to incorporate as much or as little of an accent color as you would like, and you can also add texture and visual interest with the pattern or design you choose.

A great way to offer cohesion to the room is to paint only one wall an orange, like Puerto Rico Sunshine, and then repeat the color via furniture pieces or accessories. Some of these ways include adding color to the entryway of your home, updating older furniture, framing a mirror, or even making your own artwork. The eye-catching possibilities are as endless as the sun’s rays. Color is an extremely powerful force and too much of anyone can leave a room or space unbalanced. Yet the right amount can invigorate a home and its visitors!

Cristina Villalón is the Co-founder, Principal Interior Designer and the Director of Álvarez-Díaz & Villalón® | Architecture & Interior Design. Recognized for her attractive, welcoming, and functional interior designs, Villalón was awarded in 2015 with the Star on the Rise Award from the Design Center of the Americas (DCOTA). In 2016, Cristina was named among the Top 40 Under 40 by the magazine Design: Retail and that same year, Caribbean Business awarded her the same distinction. Although London is one of the top vacation spots globally, it’s time to leave England and enjoy some time in the gorgeous Irish countryside. Kerry, known as the Rose of Tralee, is one of the most beautiful areas on the planet. Endless rugged landscapes, and beautiful stretching water, make it feel like you’ve stepped into the garden of Eden.

This is an amazing space to allow yourself to feel like you’re getting in touch with nature, where deer and stag roam freely and endless tumbling waterfalls crash down onto the craggy rocks beneath them like works of art.

If you want to take in as much beauty as possible, there’s a scenic drive called the Ring of Kerry, which you can take in just a day to explore picturesque coastlines and beautiful stretching land as far as you can see. This view deserves to be on everyone’s bucket lists, and the delicious food and friendly locals will ensure that you’ll want to add it back to your bucket list time and time again after you’ve left!

Bali, Indonesia

Warm gorgeous clear waters, bright white sand, and perfect temperatures have made Bali a must-stop destination for years. This beautiful paradise is one of the most popular bucket list ideas for travelers.

You can enjoy beautiful endless beaches while you unwind from the world’s pressures. Friendly locals are excited to help you learn about their home, and the countless resorts ensure that you won’t be bored or wanting for anything while you’re here.

This is also an incredibly affordable option, giving you the chance to set aside the rest of your money for later and possibly sneak in another bucket list vacation!

Marrakesh, Morocco

Marrakesh is a gorgeous destination and one of the top vacation areas in the world because of how much it offers. From incredible historical sights and their deep cultural meaning to some of the best food on Earth: every step you take in Marrakesh will feel like you’re walking in paradise.

This area has something for everyone, from shopping at the souks to enjoying golfing or hiking. If you want a bit of paradise in your life, you’ll find it in Marrakesh. Although this can be an expensive vacation for some, it’s worth it when you consider how much entertainment and beauty is possible from just one visit!

Seeing the World is the Best Bucket List Choice

Although there are some bucket list items people will argue over; the least controversial is travel. Traveling allows you to take in as much of the world as possible before you die, and honestly: who could ask for more?
