ELHAE – SEPARATED

WATCH THE VISUAL FOR “SEPARATED” HERE

STREAM “SEPARATED” HERE

Emerging as a melodic force of nature, rare groove enthusiast, singer and lyricist, Elhae releases his music video for “Separated“ out now. A follow up to his infectious “Fun Fact“ single featuring Rick Ross, “Separated” showcases a more complex side of Elhae that his fans have yet to experience. The beautifully shot visual, directed by Loris Russier, captures the emotional dynamic between two lovers who are desperately trying to hold on to their union, but ultimately realize that they’re better off apart. The visual portrays raw imagery with emotional highs and lows as Elhae painfully sings of heartbreak and love lost. Watch it HERE.

Praised by XXL as being “the next R&B sensation that’s about to make a huge wave in the industry,” the visual encompasses all the elements of a classic period piece tied into a modern-day love story, proving that Elhae’s creativity and talent are both layered and timeless. “Choosing “Separated” as a single was a no-brainer for me. I just think it’s such a relatable song in the sense that everyone’s been there before, in that heartbroken space, that disappointed space.” Elhae continues, “It’s not an easy topic for most, but on the other side of it usually comes growth and wisdom.”

“I was really stoked to have Loris Russier direct the video. My creative director Siwoo Lee really put me on to his work and I just loved the colors he was using, the shots and angles he used to convey emotion.” Elhae continues “I knew he’d be the right guy for the job. Although it’s impossible to show a whole relationship in 3 minutes, the goal was to try to show how good things can be and then instantly not be with someone you love. The song is really emotional, and I just wanted to pair that with something just as emotional visually. I love how everything came out and excited to work on more projects with Loris in the future.”

Known for his creativity and incredible attention to detail, Elhae’s vision for the single’s cover art was inspired by the parable of Samson & Delilah, a story of man who lost his strength due to putting his trust into the wrong woman. Produced by P2J (Beyonce’s Brown Skin Girl) and co-written by Ari PenSmith (Doja Cat, Snoh Aalegra) “Separated” showcases Elhae in rare form as he boldly sings “I’m man enough to take the blame for my mistakes, it’s unfortunate you wanna try again, I can’t relate.”

In addition to XXL, Elhae has garnered glowing praise from The FaderBillboardVibeThe Source, and more. His 2016 album All Have Fallen produced hits like “Doesn’t Matter” (feat. Kehlani) and “Needs,” which has over 19M Spotify streams. 2017’s Aura II EP boasted the Ty Dolla $ign-assisted “Bang Your Line,” which adds to its 24M Spotify streams every day. Outside his solo work, Elhae has collaborated with stars like Lecrae and Eric Bellinger. Following his 2018 Coachella performance, he released his conceptual album Trouble in Paradise (2019).

About Elhae:

North Dakota-born and Georgia-raised singer, artist, and visionary ELHAE approaches R&B like a film director would, choosing every element carefully, ensuring an intricate level of cohesion, and building his own world. Since catching fire in 2015 on the independent Aura EP, he worked towards eventually architecting such a world. The follow-up All Have Fallen yielded fan favorites such as “Doesn’t Matter” [feat Kehlani] and “Needs,” which clocked 19 million-plus Spotify streams. In between, he garnered glowing praise from the likes of The FaderBillboardVibeThe Source, and more as Sprite named him among its P.O.U.R. (Purveyors of Urban Reality) program. The 2017 sequel to Aura, the Aura II EP, boasted “Drama,” “Something,” and the popular “Bang Your Line” [feat. Ty Dolla $ign]. The latter ignited 24 million Spotify streams and counting. Meanwhile, he lent his voice to high-profile collaborations with Lecrae, Eric Bellinger, and many others in addition to supporting blackbear on tour.

2018 saw him grace the stage of Coachella for the first time in front of 40,000 fans as he diligently worked on new tunes in Los Angeles, Miami, and Atlanta. Inspired by childhood favorite albums such as Kid Cudi’s Man on the Moon: The End of Day, Childish Gambino’s Because the Internet, and Kendrick Lamar’s Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City, he developed an airtight vision with a detailed plotline for his next release. In 2019, the vision unfolds over the course of his twelve-track conceptual project, Trouble In Paradise [Atlantic Records], introduced by the intoxicating first single “Hennessy.” His sound is about to blow up on the biggest canvas possible now.

NOTHING,NOWHERE. SHARES NEW SONG: UPSIDE DOWN

Fueled By Ramen artist nothing, nowhere. has shared a brand-new single, upside down, which is featured on his widely anticipated new album TRAUMA FACTORY due out February 19th. Available now on all streaming platforms, “upside down” pulses with a duality of hypnotic rhythms as nothing, nowhere. traces the slow and painful dissolution of a relationship from his past.

nothing, nowhere. elaborated on the new track remarking, “We’ve all had our fair share of unhealthy relationships. ‘upside down’ is about a lost love and the inability to accept the new and painful circumstances.”

“upside down” arrives as nothing, nowhere’s recent single fake friend continues to climb Billboard’s “Alternative Airplay” chart, reaching Top 25 at the format this week. Also featured on TRAUMA FACTORY, “fake friend” is joined by a Mason Mercer directed official music video which spirals over nothing, nowhere.’s seamless alchemy of alternative, pop, rap, and punk.

Pre-orders for TRAUMA FACTORY are available at www.nothingnowhere.net featuring exclusive limited-edition vinyl and merch. Each pre-order will receive instant grat downloads of “upside down” and “fake friend” as well as previously released singles: lights (4444), pretend, DEATH, nightmare, and blood (Feat. KennyHoopla & JUDGE).

Over the course of 15 tracks, TRAUMA FACTORY cuts deep and finds nothing, nowhere. once again emerging from darkness, shedding external expectation, and moving forward into the glow of pure creation. Whether it be the anesthetized beats and intoxicating lull of “love or chemistry,” the cold piano-laden longing of “crave,” or the emotional immediacy of “upside down,” nothing, nowhere. paints from a wide palette of pain.

“TRAUMA FACTORY is an accumulation of songs written during a confusing time. it is about accepting the present and following your true north through the pain and suffering of human life,” nothing, nowhere. revealed He added, “I wanted to make an album that was truly genreless and inspire others to challenge themselves artistically. I believe the most inspiring art is unpredictable and unrestrictive. to me thatߣs what TRAUMA FACTORY is.”

Last year, The New York Times hailed “DEATH” as a “Scabrous, immensely satisfying emotional expurgation from Joe Mulherin that deploys early Beastie Boys drums and Rage Against the Machine bark-rapping in service of a rap-rock revival bathed in righteousness.”

Last year, he teamed up with Travis Barker for the collaborative EP, bloodlust. bloodlust was highlighted by lead single destruction, which debuted via The FADER with Kerrang! declaring “bloodlust feels like another world. From start to finish it envelops you in its hazy, muted soundscapes.” bloodlust followed a prolific string of singles from nothing, nowhere. –call back, dread, and ornament, and arrived just a year after the release of his acclaimed 2018 LP, ruiner. The sophomore LP features album standouts ruiner and rejecter, which Pigeons&Planes declared, “perfectly exemplify why nothing, nowhere.’s music is so exciting he’s crafted a world of sound that’s both fresh and recognizable.”

The FADER remarked, “The new record is a stimulating blend of singing, hip-hop, and live instrumentation, all fused together with emo and alternative stylings.” nothing, nowhere.’s 2017 debut album, reaper, was met with critical praise led by the singles hopes up (Ft. Dashboard Confessional) and skully.

The album made a massive impact upon its DCD2/Equal Vision release with The New York Times’ Jon Caramanica placing it at #1 on his list of 2017’s best. reaper “synthesizes the second-wave emo of the early to mid-2000s with the rattling hip-hop low end of the last few years,” he wrote. “(reaper) is one of the most promising pop albums of the year,” Rolling Stone declared, “reaper finds him tonally evoking the glory years of 2000s emo-punk without necessarily replicating it.”

nothing, nowhere. is the musical endeavor of Vermont songwriter, singer and guitarist Joe Mulherin. For Mulherin, nothing, nowhere. is about a connection. It’s one he finds with fans around the world, who gather to see him play on tour and to listen to his songs online. It’s that connection that urges the singer to place his fears aside and step onstage each night to share his art. He sees the potential to help, to make a change, however small it may be and that is why he brings his music out of the Vermont wildness.

BOSLEN RELEASES MIND-BENDING SINGLE: TRIP

The genre-busting Vancouver up-and-comer Boslen dives deep into his bag of tricks for the moody, mind-bending single TRIP out now. Listen HERE. This is the first single from Boslen’s forthcoming debut album DUSK to DAWN. TRIP is a vivid day-in-the-life story from Canada’s next star, celebrating the successes of a whirlwind year in his own woozy, wilding way.

As we’ve come to expect from Boslen, TRIP is a sonic joyride through indie pop, rap, and R&B, while psychedelia swirls and drums dart in and out of trap. Boslen drifts over and dives into the shifting production (from justsayin, NXSTY, and MSXII), spitting about taking every opportunity and passing up naysayers: “I’m ducking the bullets, I’m ducking the clowns/You live life to the fullest til you not around.” For Boslen, TRIP is a chance to reflect on his journey so far, even while pushing his sound into the future. “It feels like there are constant highs and lows being an artist that’s coming up,” he says, “I wanted TRIP to showcase both the light and the dark.”

DUSK to DAWN will be Boslen’s first project since 2019’s Black Lotus EP, which peaked at #11 on the Canadian Apple Music streaming charts. He’s been hard at work releasing a slew of singles/videos including Hidden Nights, and Lightspeed, which is off the Black Lotus EP. In 2020 Boslen dropped VULTURES, and My Ways, which showed how much he’s been refining his style and expanding his scope. This new album is poised to accelerate his eclectic sound even further, moving fluidly from genre to genre while orbiting Boslen’s Swiss-Army-knife delivery. With a vision this focused, and hits like TRIP in the bag, Boslen has already proven himself worth following. Each release offers something brand new.

SWIZZ BEATZ SWITCHES TO ASCAP

ASCAP, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, the world leader in performing rights and advocacy for music creators, today announced that internationally acclaimed Grammy-winning songwriter-producer and global entrepreneur Kasseem Dean, aka Swizz Beatz, has moved to ASCAP. Known for his work on songs including DMX’s “Ruff Ryders Anthem,” T.I.’s “Bring Em Out,” Lil Wayne’s “Uproar,” Mýa’s “The Best of Me” and more, the megaproducer is also the co-creator of Verzuz, the livestreaming music battle series and cultural phenomenon he started in early 2020 with Timbaland.

“Swizz Beatz’s talent as a songwriter-producer is second to none. The music he has created over the last two decades reached the heights of the hip-hop, R&B and rap charts and continues to endure,” said John Titta, ASCAP Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer. “From his classic late-90s records with Ruff Ryders to Verzuz, Swizz Beatz’s talent has made him one of the greatest producers and music creatives around today. We are so happy to welcome him to the ASCAP family.”

“I’m excited to be back with the ASCAP family,” said Swizz. “They have always fought hard for songwriters and in times like these, they are an incredibly important source of support for music creators. I’m looking forward to working with the ASCAP team to give back to the culture and the creative community.”

Swizz Beatz has been in the music and business world since he was 16. He began deejaying and working at his uncle’s company, Ruff Ryder Records, while still in high school. Within a short time, Swizz produced the company’s first hit, by DMX. More success followed–as a producer and artist. At 23, Swizz founded his own record label, Full Surface Records, with Clive Davis and earned a Grammy Award at the age of 33. As a producer, Swizz has worked with a diverse range of artists and some of the biggest names in the world including Jay-Z, Madonna, Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Metallica, contributing to the sale of over 350 million records sold worldwide.

A recent graduate of Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management Program, Swizz’s talents and success extend well beyond music. He is an innovative fashion designer, collaborating with Bally, Reebok, Christian Louboutin, Aston Martin, Lotus, and Audemar Piguet. In 2015, he joined global spirit giant Bacardi as their Global Chief Creative for Culture, overseeing more than 300 brands within the company’s portfolio. An art collector since his 20s, he launched The Dean Collection in 2014, a discovery zone for art enthusiasts who appreciate art not just from the greats but also from aspiring and new artists alike.

Swizz is actively involved in many charities, with a particular focus on children: he works closely with his wife Alicia Keys’s organization Keep A Child Alive to fight AIDS and poverty in Africa; he adopted the Bronx Charter School for the Arts; is the Global Ambassador for New York City’s HHC (Health and Hospitals Corporation); serves on the board of Children’s Rights, which provides legal services to foster children to protect their rights; and currently sits on the Board of Trustees of the Brooklyn Museum.

Ebhoni – Hit This

Already christened “Our favorite new R&B artist” by FLAUNT, 21 year-old Toronto-born singer and songwriter Ebhoni unveils a seductive new single entitled “Hit This.” Once again, she asserts herself as the baddest bad gyal of them all! Listen HERE.

“Hit This” arrives on the heels of her fall bop “MIA.” Inciting critical applause right out of the gate, FLAUNT described it as “a sensual, dancehall-inspired track,” and KAZI called it “infectious.” Check out the music video HERE. On the track co-produced by IzyBeats (Koffee, Jorja Smith, Masego) and co-written by the artist herself, a dancehall bounce simmers beneath her dynamic delivery. Ebhoni’s voice stretches from intimate verses towards hypnotic falsetto as she promises, “When ya hit this, ain’t no coming back. I’m on ya wish list, but where your money at?”

About “Hit This,” Ebhoni exclaimed, “Working on ‘Hit This’ was a straight vibe in the studio! I was in Miami working and made ‘Hit This’ day two in the studio, and everyone was like, ‘We want ENERGY on this track!’ Izy literally started making the beat from scratch and, as he was building it, we were all just going mad with ideas.Walshy Fire is always hyping me so, of course, we started talking our shit. The whole Creative Titans team just brings a different type of energy when creating.”

The imaging for the breakout track was inspired by Ebhoni’s Caribbean culture. “I’m all about authenticity! From the music to even my press photos, I aimed to deliver authentic Bashment & Passa Passa vibes to my fans.” Bashment & Passa Passa are both Caribbean terms widely used to describe an authentic feeling and vibe associated with dancehall & reggae street parties.

Over the last few years, Ebhoni’s string of animated, confident R&B singles has won both commercial and critical success. In the middle of a productive 2019 run, Pitchfork wrote that she is “reclaiming the Toronto R&B crown for women.” Throughout her career, Ebhoni’s made a point to partner specifically with Black-owned businesses, support other women artists and workers, and to uplift the local LGBTQ+ community, which sheߣs done through efforts like hosting Pride Toronto. Ebhoni is a must-follow.

Right now, Ebhoni is setting the stage for her debut EP as well as more surprises to come in 2021!

Earthgang x Wale “Options”

The indomitable Atlanta duo EARTHGANG released a  brand new song and visualizer titled “Options” featuring Wale. The track’s cover art (created by long-time creative collaborator Fred Lozano) was teased earlier in the week featuring OLU, WowGr8 and Wale as fashion dolls.

Not one for a straight forward visual, EARTHGANG teamed up with Adult Swim’s “Robot Chicken” animator Bona Bones to take the fashion doll motif to another level. The Zack Sekuler directed visualizer is live now and can be watched above or via the link here.

The release of the song comes at the heels of EARTHGANG receiving a Grammy Award nomination for “Collide” — a track with Tiana Major9 for the film “Queen & Slim.” The song is nominated for “Best R&B Song” category and will be the pair’s second Grammy nod after being nominated earlier this year for their work with Dreamville’sRevenge of Dreamers III album.

EARTHGANG have stayed busy since the release of their critically acclaimed debut album Mirrorland (Dreamville/Interscope) and Platinum-certified Revenge of The Dreamers III project both out last year. When touring halted the duo hit the studio to collaborate with music friends like Gorillaz, Tokimonsta, Louis The Child, Tobi Nwigwe and more.

Earlier this year, OLU and WowGr8 banded with their Spillage Village members to work on the long-awaited Spilligion album which was released to acclaim in the Fall. The album made many “Best of 2020” lists including NPR, FADER, Uproxx, Complex and more.

Alongside making music, the pair have also been heavy on the campaign trail in the battleground state of Georgia working closely with Mayor Lance Bottoms and politician Stacey Abrams advocating for voter rights. A bright spot of their hometown, EARTHGANG continue to shine in their purpose to deliver music that aims to entertain and unite.

Summer Walker × Interscope Records – Ghetto Earth Records

Platinum-selling award-winning artist Summer Walker (LVRN/Interscope Records) begins her journey as an executive with her new imprint Ghetto Earth Records. The joint venture deal with Interscope Records lands Walker her first signee NO1-NOAH. The talented singer/songwriter recently partnered up with the Over It artist on her Life on Earth EP and together, they shined on “White Tee” and “SWV.”

“I came up with Ghetto Earth because earth is ghetto,” says Walker. “I don’t wanna be controlling over my artist’s music. I want them to be fully involved in everything they put out. I’m just here to support and help them get to wherever it is they’re trying to go in life.”

NO1-NOAH comments, “I’m excited to show people my music, and what I have to offer. I feel like being on Summer’s team, Ghetto Earth Records, is the right home for me to be as creative as possible as an artist. She’s really understanding of what a true artist is, as she is one herself. I’m free to create here and it’s always a great feeling as an artist to be able to make music for a team that gets the sound that you’re trying to create.”

“Summer is a true visionary. She’s writing her own rules as one of the most talented artists in R&B music today and is now adding entrepreneur to her vast repertoire,” says Interscope Records Nicole Wyskoarko, EVP/Co-Head of A&R. “Summer brings an unapologetically outspoken and empowering voice to Ghetto Earth and a radically different and much-needed perspective to developing emerging talent such as NO1-NOAH. We are thrilled that Summer has chosen Interscope as Ghetto Earth’s partner and home.”

SUMMER WALKER’S ACCOMPLISHMENTS

On the artist front, Walker is having an incredible year. After gracing the cover of Billboard Magazine for their R&B / Hip-Hop Power Players issue last month, she starred alongside Erykah Badu for Rolling Stone’s Musicians on Musicians cover. Her win streak continued when she walked away victorious at the Soul Train Music Awards last month, winning Album of the Year for Over It. Her latest feat adds to her growing collection of awards, as she previously netted wins at the iHeartRadio Music Awards for Best New R&B Artist and the Billboard Music Awards for Top R&B Female Artist.

Over It contains the platinum-certified single “Come Thru” and the double-platinum hit “Playing Games.” The latter has spent 20 weeks on the Hot 100. Over It has spent 49 weeks in the top 40 and 56 weeks in the top 50 on the Billboard 200 Album chart. In July, Walker’s EP, Life on Earth, debuted inside the top 10 on the Billboard 200 at No. 8.

NJOMZA – Lucky

The Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter NJOMZA returns with the tender new single and video Lucky, out now on SinceThe80s/Motown. Listen HERE. The track, built around gospel guitar chords and NJOMZA’s ascendant vocals, is a warm, soul-inflected reminder to hold your loved ones close. She sounds lost and lonely at first, but as the song unfolds, it builds to a kindhearted climax, repeating insistently, “If you love someone let them know.”

Lucky arrives accompanied by a black-and-white video directed by Griffin Olis and NJOMZA. The visual intertwines dreamlike snippets of home-video footage with shots of her laying in the sand. It’s a stirring document of memory and loss, underscoring the songߣs message to not take anything or anyone for granted. Watch it HERE.

For NJOMZA, Lucky is only the latest in a long run of captivating pop songs. In April, she released the gauzy, sensual single Bite, which has garnered over 2.5 million total streams. Over the last few years, sheߣs drawn both critical acclaim and commercial success for her work with Mac Miller who signed her to his REMember Music label when she was a teen and Ariana Grande, with whom she’s co-written hits like 7 Rings and Thank U, Next.

All the while, she’s been twisting up R&B and pop signifiers on her own songs, on singles like 2019’s No One Is Spared and EPs like 2017’s Sad For You and 2018’s Vacation. People are listening too. Over the years, her tracks have racked up over 50 million global streams. As she gears up to release more new music in 2021, Lucky is a winning reminder of what drew people to her in the first place: the emotion and care she’s able to pack into her memorable melodies.
