About Jacquees:

A thirteen-year grind ushered Jacquees into the forefront of modern R&B with multiple platinum records, billions of streams, and sold-out shows everywhere. Behind all of those flashy vocal runs and silky bedroom jams, you’ll find the same humble music-obsessed vocalist who first picked up a microphone at 9-years-old in his hometown of Decatur, GA.
He’s come a long way too. After the success of his independent 19 EP in 2014, he inked a deal with Cash Money Records and cultivated a signature style steeped in throwback soul with the right amount of 21st century sizzle. His 2018 full-length debut4275 scored a gold certification from the RIAA and boasted the double-platinum “B.E.D.” and platinum “At The Club” featuring Dej Loaf. A year later in 2019, he returned with King of R&B, which yielded the gold-selling “Your Peace” featuring Lil Baby. Not to mention, he teamed up with Cash Money Records Co-Founder and iconic rapper Birdman for the collaborative Lost At Sea [2016] and Lost At Sea 2 [2018]. He also closed out 2019 with the Christmas in Decatur EP.

Now, he’s turning the page on the next chapter of his career.
“It’s a new chapter, for sure,” he affirms. “I’m rebranding by getting back to how I started. I’m having fun again. Of course, it’s still a job, but I’m having a really good time. I took a break from everything for a minute and I’m stepping out now.”

“One of the The 10 Rappers To Watch in 2022” – Miami New Times

Rising Cash Money Records artist Eighty8 unleashes his latest new single and music video “The Realest” today. Get it HERE. The Zach Geitner– produced-track hinges on an irresistible beat punctuated by sharp 808s and a simmering groove. Eighty8’s hypnotic cadence is accompanied by visual that brings this vibe to vibrancy on-screen. The Sam Brave-directed official video premiered earlier today via BET Jams. Watch HERE.

Last year, Eighty8 made waves with his breakout banger “Hit. Right out of the gate, he amassed over 2 million YouTube views on the music video as the track flows in 1 million + streams across music service platforms. In addition to praise from Hip Hop DXRESPECT Magazine, and more, The Miami New Times pegged him as one of “The 10 Rappers To Watch in 2022” and spoke to him for an in-depth profile. Meanwhile, The Knockturnal applauded, Eighty8 fuses R&B, hip-hop, pop and island music to create a truly new and innovative sound that transcends genres.” The release garnered attention from XXL as the Miami native was selected to be in the running for the 10th voting spot for the renowned 2022 Freshman class.

Leveling up to his latest release “The Realest,” Eighty8 continues to deliver on his pledge to showcase the depths of his dynamic artistry that stands separate from any artist alike.

About Eighty8:

Roots can shape personality. Our lineage informs how we act and how we react to any given situation. Drawing on Jamaican and Haitian heritage, Eighty8 translates emotional extremes into an unpredictable and undeniable hybrid of R&B, hip-hop, pop, and island flavors. Generating nearly 3 million Spotify streams independently, receiving acclaim from Hip Hop DX, Hip Hop N More, On Smash and signing to Cash Money Records in 2020, he’s ready to formally introduce himself. He adopted his name during a period of self-discovery after learning that the number 8 represents a sense of power and exemplifies peace and unity.

Born and raised on the North Side of Miami, at three-years-old, he realized he could sing and spent hours replaying an old Michael Jackson VHS as he obsessively studied the King of Pop. Throughout middle school, he sang to girls in the hallway and shutdown the stage with show-stopping performances at pep rallies and talent shows. As a teen, he joined the R&B group 4th and Ocean, recording music for Warner Bros. Records. Following the group’s split, he caught the attention of Balistic Beats and dropped the single “Pree.”The music made its way to Cash Money Records and Eighty8 was signed to the roster in 2020.

The album has arrived as a cultural milestone in its own right. Stretching past the eight-minute mark, the title track “GOD DID” [feat. Rick RossLil WayneJAY-ZJohn Legend, & Fridayy] has sparked an important conversation. As part of a special report for MSNBC, Ari Melber host of The Beat broke down JAY-Z’s four-minute verse as a cogent and cohesive analysis on the failures of the prolonged generational drug war framed through the icon’s own journey embodied in the rhyme, “cocaína into champagne. However, it didn’t stop there. KhaledJAY-Z, Melber, and journalist Rob Markman engaged in this discourse publicly on Twitter SpacesJAY-Z went one step further and uploaded Melber’s initial report as “HOV DID” on all streaming platforms. Rolling Stone and People have chronicled this chain of events, and the conversation continues. However, it all started on “GOD DID.

Meanwhile, “Use This Gospel (Remix) [feat. Kanye WestEmimen (prod. by Dr. Dre The ICU)] bowed at #1 on the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs Chart and Hot Christian Songs Chart—Khaled’s first #1 entries on the respective charts. Additionally, he notched 10 entries on the Billboard Hot 100, including “God Did” at #17, “Staying Alive,” which is now RIAA Certified Gold, at #21 (Greatest Gainer/Streaming), “Beautiful” at #29, “Big Time” at #31, “Use This Gospel (Remix)”at #49, “Juice WRLD Did” at #55, “Keep Going” at #57 “Party” at #66, “It Ain’t Safe” at #77 “No Secret” at #78 and “Let’s Pray” at #86.

Beyond posting up over 800 million cumulative streams and views, GOD DID finds Khaled everywhere. GQ spoke to him as part of an in-depth profile and proclaimed, “Sixteen years after his star-studded debut, 2006’s Listennn… the Album, many of its same guests showed up for God Did, and getting these now-giants to answer the call today is even more of an impressive feat.” Meanwhile, Elliott Wilson and Brian “B.Dot” Miller of Rap Radar chatted with him for an all-encompassing podcast. Plus, he took the stage at the MTV VMA to present the award for “Best Collaboration” to Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow for Industry Baby.

He celebrated the rollout with an unprecedented deluge of videos, including, “Big Time” [feat. Future Lil Baby], “It Ain’t Safe”[feat. Nardo Wick & Kodak Black],“Party All The Time”[feat. Quavo Takeoff], “These Streets Know My Name”[feat. SkillibengBuju BantonCapletonBounty Killer, & Sizzla], “Keep Going” [feat. Lil Durk21 Savage, & Roddy Ricch], “Beautiful” [feat. SZA Future],  “Way Past Luck” [feat. 21 Savage], and “Jadakiss Interlude” [feat. Jadakiss].

Delivering the hip-hop event of the summer, he welcomed an A-list cohort of friends to join him for his latest magnum opus. For the first time ever, he collaborates with none other than Dr. Dre and The ICU in addition to joining forces with EminemFutureKanye WestSZA21 Savage, Lil WayneLil DurkRoddy RicchTravis ScottLattoCity GirlsKodak BlackQuavoTakeoffGunnaBounty KillerSizzlaBuju BantonSkillibengCapeltonFridayyDon ToliverJadakiss, Nardo Wick, Vory, John Legend, and the late Juice WRLD. He notably set the stage for the album with “Staying Alive” [feat. Drake Lil Baby]. It has already amassed over 185 Million audio streams and 50M views for the music video. Plus, it bowed at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100, holding strong on the chart.

The anthem king has returned with GOD DID, and he delivers his biggest, boldest, and best body of work to date.

Last year, Khaled unleashed his twelfth full-length album, KHALEDKHALED [We The Best Music Group/Epic Records]. It arrived as his third #1 debut on the Billboard Top 200, sixth #1 on the Top Rap Albums Chart, and fourth #1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. It also reached platinum status.

ABOUT GIVĒON

GIVĒON has always used his raw, evocative songwriting to mine a confusing world for answers, and that approach has connected to the tune of over 1 billion global streams and nearly 1 billion YouTube views thus far. But, lately he’s been fixed on a problem he can’t solve. As he puts it, “Sometimes the truth is rewarded, and sometimes it’s frowned upon. Does a little deception make us feel better?” This sort of tension is at the heart of GIVĒON’s work. His debut album Give or Take shows off the emotional curiosity and deep warmth of his songs over cinematic R&B arrangements. This sensitivity and love for storytelling traces back to his upbringing in Long Beach, CA, where his mother shielded him and his brothers from the area’s gang culture and encouraged him to sing. After years of hustle, he bonded with producer Sevn Thomas (Drake, Rihanna) in 2019 and placed “Chicago Freestyle” on Drake’s 2020 mixtape Dark Lane Demo Tapes. GIVĒON’s March 2020 debut EP Take Time held his first top 40 Hot 100 hit, “Heartbreak Anniversary,” and by March 2021, his When It’s All Said and Done… Take Time compilation debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 (It’s since gone Platinum, and highlight “All to Me” went Gold—his 10th RIAA certification). Since then, the seven-time Grammy nominee has been forging connections in person on tour, and he’s been hard at work writing Give or Take. Its arrival shows just how much he’s grown, both as an introspective songwriter and an empathetic human being.

The definition of unapologetic soul music. I wanted to tell a story of what it meant to be a man, growing and learning and dealing with my vices. Protecting my peace, while navigating the challenges of life. This song is a turning point in my mental journey. Addressing fears, seeking therapy, paying homage to those who are living.. its a lot to unpack in the verses but at the end of the day it feels so good to be alive and creating and I’m grateful for every moment.”

Recently, TOBi released his Alex Goose-produced single and video Before We Panic” featuring Mikky Ekko(written for Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Drake), which was a prelude to his forthcoming album. The artistic visual was shot and directed by Dom McLennon (BROCKHAMPTON) and Jeremy Grier.

JORDAN WARD × JOONY

RISING NEWCOMERS JORDAN WARD & JOONY SAY “IDC” IN NEW SINGLE

Jordan Ward To Perform At Soho Warehouse in Los Angeles Next Week

Buzzy R&B tastemakers Jordan Ward (ARTium Recordings/Interscope Records) & Joony leap into their next era with today’s release of the smooth new single, “IDC”. The two collab on the floating, lo-fi melodic track as they trade carefree verses about letting their ex’s exit their lives. Lo-fi also colors the song’s official music video, in which the pair comically run into their exes but get the last laugh as they run through New York City.

Watch the full video HERE.

“IDC” builds on the momentum that Jordan scored with last year’s Remain Calm EP and the millions of streams it produced. The five-track collection put the St. Louis native’s versatility on full display, swapping from rap bars on “Steph” to the R&B gem “Couscous.” Storied publications took notice, with Billboard highlighting the latter track as “a deliciously layered deep cut,” while HotNewHipHop praised the EP overall as a “short but very sweet” effort. Soon after the EP’s release, Jordan gifted fans his Lil Baby Doc, a six-minute documentary that reveals an intimate look at Jordan’s creative process in the studio while enjoying life with his friends. Watch HERE. Plus, as part of the single’s release celebration, Jordan will perform a showcase at the exclusive Soho Warehouse in Los Angeles on Oct. 10.

As he steps his new era, Jordan Ward continues to draw acclaim as one of R&B’s rising stars. While his 2017 debut EP, A Peak at the Summit, made noise, his clear breakthrough came with his 2019 project, Valley Hopefuls. It was propelled by his single “Okok (Hibachi)” and “Sandiego,” which was produced by singer Arin Ray and music producer heavyweight No ID. Now, with more than 25 million streams and counting, Ward’s silky croons and elevated songwriting pen are sharper than ever and ready to launch him to even greater heights in the R&B realm.

Establishing himself through a series of EPs and full-length albums, Joony amassed a substantial audience before his placement on Brent Faiyaz‘s chart-topping album, Wasteland. Joony’s verse on “FYTB” was a standout moment on the project and marked Joony’s first entry on the Billboard Hot 100. The poignant record came on the heels of his critically acclaimed album, Pretty In Black. After the release of Pretty In Black (Deluxe), the 22-year-old rapper asserted himself in 2022’s album of the year consideration.

The singer, who has long been associated with the urban genre, now presents a new theme that combines Latin Trap, alternative music, and R&B sounds. This innovative rhythm fusion featured production from Hydemiyabi, Dim Cruz, and EQ, as well as lyrics about personal and emotional empowerment.

“Brother” debuts with its official music video, which was shot in the historic city of Madrid, Spain, by Conteni2 Media Group and directed by Anuel himself in collaboration with Tru Views.

“I am very happy with the outcome of this video; it is exciting to work as a director on my own music videos.” “I hope my fans enjoy this production and listen to this rhythm fusion that combines the best of two worlds,” Anuel said.

In addition to representing the lifestyle of a music star like Anuel, the audiovisual piece is full of bright colors, gold, European architecture, and a lot of “bling bling.”

Ari Lennox – age/sex/location

After years of anticipation, Ari Lennox looks to sweep the world of R&B Soul off its feet again with her sophomore outing age/sex/location. Released via Dreamville / Interscope Records, the 12-song effort will certainly place Ari in the pantheon of R&B Soul music after her sweltering first single, “Pressure.” Produced by Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox, the sugary anthem had fans hooked and enthralled as it topped the Adult R&B Airplay chart. As the new vanguard of Soul, Ari Lennox ramps up the intensity with her standout tracks “Hoodie and “Queen Space” with oft collaborator Summer Walker. “Queen Space” first originated from her EP Away Message. The short set was an anticipation-setter as Ari tantalized her fanbase with a brilliant appetizer littered with sultry vibes. Age/sex/location is a stellar entry point for new fans eager to dive into the creative mind of Ari, who gained mainstream notoriety with her acclaimed 2019 debut album Shea Butter Baby. Listen HERE.

The build-up for age/sex/location was headlined by a week full of celebrations for Ari and her newest masterpiece. First, she held an intimate listening party in New York City before spending time in her hometown of Washington DC for a comedy night hosted by KevOnStage at DC Winery, another night enjoying the city’s best GoGo music hosted by Ari herself and then finally partnering with Amazon Music on album release day for the project’s release party. To close things out, Ari will hold an exceptional live performance at a secret location in New York City on Sept. 11.

Age/sex/location is the hotly anticipated follow-up to Ari’s acclaimed 2019 debut, Shea Butter Baby. The project, now with over 1.4 billion global streams, spawned significant hits: the RIAA platinum-certified title track, featuring Dreamville label head and marquee artist J. Cole, the fan-favorite, gold-certified singles “BMO” and “Whipped Cream,” and “Up Late,” whose intimate video drew praise from ESSENCENoiseyPitchfork, and Billboard. Awards recognition capped off the debut era with nominations at the Grammys (for her contribution to Dreamville’s album, Revenge of the Dreamers III), three 2019 Soul Train Awards, and two 2020 NAACP Awards.

MALACHIII – HOW TO BE A STAR

Singer-Songwriter Malachiii releases new single “How To Be A Star” featured in MADDEN NFL 23 GAME & Soundtrack, and Malachiii‘s Debut EPThe Ascension is out now!

ABOUT MALACHIII:

Malachiii knows joy. Over the last few years, the singer, songwriter, and producer from Southern California has demonstrated an affection for elastic flows, buoyant rhythms, and melodies lit by a magic-hour glow. This ecstatic energy has made his take on pop, hip-hop, and R&B infectious, but what makes it most special is his willingness to engage in heavy themes with a maturity and grace that belies his age, delivering grinning verses while pondering big questions. He’s come to understand that while his ultimate goal is to emit love, light, positivity, and good vibes, it’s most important to stay true to the real depths of his experience, even if it’s not always sunshine and rainbows. Malachiii grew up with the urge to perform, but it was after going on tour with GRAMMY Award-winning composer AR Rahman at the age of 14 that he felt inspired to write and produce his own music. His ability to translate relatable emotions into hooks earned him a publishing deal with Electric Feel (Post Malone, Iann Dior, 24KGoldn), which only bolstered his writing and producing efforts. Now, Malachiii is stepping into the spotlight in his own right with the recent release of his debut EP, The Ascension [Motown Records]. The EP’s breakout track “Hold Me” and his new single “How To Be A Star” are both featured in the Madden NFL 23 video game, only proving that he’s here to create a lasting impact within music and culture.
