Kygo × X Ambassadors

Global superstar, producer and DJ, Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll – a.k.a Kygo releases his new song “Undeniable” ft. X Ambassadors today. Listen HERE. “Undeniable”, out now via RCA Records is the follow up to Kygo’s most recent release “Love Me Now” ft. Zoe Wees which was released this summer and  “Gone Are The Days” ft. James Gillespie which was released in the Spring.

Kygo says, “Sam and I had so much fun writing this one together in LA then performing it last month at Banc of California Stadium. It’s a special song to us and I hope everyone likes “Undeniable” as much as we do.”

X Ambassadors lead singer/songwriter Sam Nelson Harris says, “I’ve always had an affinity for big-ass love songs but don’t often end up writing them. This one came together so organically and quickly— it was such a treat to write it with Kash, Nick, Whethan and Kyrre. I honestly couldn’t be more excited to sing it at all my friends weddings.”

Kygo recently played a massive sold out show in Los Angeles at the Banc of California Stadium in early September. This followed his triumphant first live show back in front of a crowd, where he sold out the historic Red Rocks amphitheater in June. He recently announced, and then sold out within 10 minutes the biggest stadium in Oslo (Ullevaal Stadium) for a show scheduled for July 2nd, 2022. He continues his ongoing residency at The Wynn in Las Vegas. Additionally, through his lifestyle brand Palm Tree Crew, he recently threw his one-of-a-kind intimate festival experience, Palm Tree Music Festival at the Francis S. Gabreski Airport in Westhampton, NY. The single-day event captured the feeling of summer in paradise and featured performances by Kygo himself, Zedd, Gryffin (DJ Set), Frank Walker and Forester.

2020 was a massive year for Kygo. He released a remix of Donna Summer’s Grammy Award winning, platinum, #1 song “Hot Stuff” as well as a remix of Tina Turner’s “What’s Love Got To Do With It” to rave reviews. He also released his critically acclaimed third full-length album Golden Hour which features his hit single “Lose Somebody” with OneRepublic as well as “Higher Love” with Whitney Houston, the latter of which has garnered over 1.1 billion streams worldwide and charted at Top 40 radio. Earlier this year Kygo performed a breathtaking set which was livestreamed on Moment House. Filmed on a snow-capped mountain top in the Sunnmore Alps in his home country of Norway, the one-of-a-kind virtual experience allowed audiences around the world to watch the global superstar deliver a career-spanning set amidst a breathtaking environment unlike anywhere they’ve seen him perform before.

The new EP reflects Marr‘s multifaceted past, but takes his music somewhere startlingly new.

Young Franco × Golden Vessel – Underneath

Following a near perfect run of singles under a reformed, hip hop dance sound recruiting the likes of rap mogul Denzel Curry, SonReal and rising star Jalmar, Young Franco returns to his indie roots, collaborating with close friend Golden Vessel for new single, “Underneath”. Listen HERE

Young Franco’s career highlights include Apple Advertising Campaigns, support from Zane Lowe and hosting new MTV series, “Back and Beyond” with Thandi Phoenix, “Underneath” acts as an ode to the incredible, feel good alternative sound that established his core early fanbase.

“Underneath” oozes timelessness, highlighting Young Franco’s ability to shift sounds and genres, while keeping his cornerstone value of quality dance cross over production. Across its just under 4-minute run time, Golden Vessel’s ominous vocals shimmer amidst a cocktail of production flare from Franco. A wobbly bassline combines perfectly with softly tapped piano chords, creating the underbed for a sway worthy alt-pop ballad. As the synth line takes care of the melodic elements in the track’s breakdown, a melancholic ambience is created, channeling the perfect moment for reflection in these unstable times.

On the creation of the track, Golden Vessel stated, “To me it feels like it’s about that corny moment at a music festival or a concert where you’ve spotted someone a couple of times and you lock eyes with them. Your favorite band is playing, and you feel really connected with this stranger even though you know nothing about them.”

About Young Franco

The Young Franco project is currently sitting perched above the clouds, with career highlights being ticked off with every subsequent release. Most recently he collaborated with Filipino-Canadian Director Khrysta Lloren a.k.a NOFAC3 for the music video for Come Thru (feat. SonReal & Jalmar), which premiered via Flaunt. His 2020 single, “Fallin Apart” featuring Denzel Curry and Pell took the already glowing artist to angelic levels. The single received a full addition on Triple J, as well as radio spins globally, and featured on publications such as Clash Magazine, NME, Out Now Magazine, Colors, Sniffers, Happy Mag, Acclaim, Purple Sneakers, Pilerats and more. The track also featured as the soundtrack for Apple’s Airpod ‘Jump’ campaign which has received nearly 10 million views on Youtube and was premiered during the Grammys broadcast.

Rosemarie Releases EP Sinnergy

R&B’s newest addition, Rosemarie, has released her debut EP, Sinnergy (Bird Vision Entertainment/Interscope Records). The gorgeous nine-track EP comes packed with poetic lyricism, insatiable melodies and a feature from rap legend Juvenile on track “03 Love” — Rosemarie continues to carve her own space in the ever-evolving genre. Alongside this, fans will also hear previously released tracks “Vision” and “Henny Talk” on Sinnergy. For a full tracklisting see below, and listen to the EP in full here.

Speaking on the EP’s unique title and making of the project, Rosemarie had this to share:

“Personally, I have always struggled with balance, as do many others, and my life and work has mirrored that. The good, bad, light, dark. White lies, hidden truths. It’s a line we all straddle at one point or another. The title is telling of that synergy — the Saint versus Sinner, with an emphasis on Sinner. A quote by Nelson Mandela resonated with me deeply, “I am not a saint unless you think of a saint as a sinner who keeps on trying.” That, in a nutshell, is what I thought prefaced this particular body of work perfectly. I am ecstatic to share this music and have these emotions and moments out in the atmosphere. My highest hope is to have someone somewhere connect with me through my music, like my favorite artists and inspirations, do for me. It’s healing. That energy exchange is powerful, and I can’t wait to further my contributions.” — Rosemarie

The Happy Fits × Another Try

Orchestral tinged indie-pop trio, The Happy Fits — Calvin Langman, Ross Monteith, and Luke Davis — have partnered with SiriusXM’s Advanced Placement for the first look of their new single “Another Try.” Taken from their two-track bundle, which also includes the track “Cold Turkey,” “Another Try” represents the first new music since the release of their 2020 sophomore album, What Could Be Better PRESS HERE to listen and HERE to watch the “Another Try” visualizer, created by Alexis Kitchmire and Liza Farrell, which features bright and bold pop art images seen through a vintage View-Master.

Reflecting how we often cope with reality in negative ways, the anthemic new single rides an emotionally-charged chorus that highlights the importance of accepting adversity as part of life’s journey and an opportunity to grow. Inspired by cabin fever and the fear of losing everything they’d worked towards, “Another Try” is intentional in its effort to feel like a light of inspiration rather than a dark moment in the band’s timeline.

Despite signaling the start of a new era for The Happy Fits, “Another Try” continues the band’s steadfast mission statement of connecting with a world that’s sometimes distant. “For the past 3 years touring and recording was the only life that we knew, and I found myself repeating the same habits, day in and day out. For a time, I tried to do things that I thought would fill some void in me that needed to feel accomplished, but if anything, it just caused me to slip back into my vices,” Calvin shares. Moving to Brooklyn to record their new music, “Another Try” ignited the spark the band needed to continue creating vivid, lyrically-driven music. “The song, to me, feels like a goodbye to the negativity and hardships that we have all gone through in the past year,” adds Ross.

Their songs, which emphasize life-changing realizations, celebrate our collective ability to overcome the obstacles and hurdles as we level up morally and emotionally. The Happy Fits have cultivated an eager and engaged fanbase who have propelled consumption rates through the roof. The band saw rapid growth following the release of What Could Be Better as their monthly listeners grew to over 780,000 on Spotify and they surpassed 65 million global streams. The trio achieved their first Billboard chartings, landing at #4 on the Alternative New Artists list and #12 on the Top New Artists Albums list, while seeing the album’s focus track “Hold Me Down” hit #30 on the Alternative Airwaves chart. The Grammy Foundation, Alternative Press, DuJour, PopMatters, Ones To Watch, Atwood Magazine and more have all signed on to champion The Happy Fits’ unique, guitar-and-cello rock, with NPR asking “What Could Be Better? I honestly don’t know.”

The band will hit the road in October for a 50+ date headline tour to share their optimistic music with their fans, who have helped them sell out stops in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and DC. Full routing is below. For tickets and more details, visit The Happy Fits website.

In addition to their music, the band regularly connects with fans through their Twitch and YouTube Gaming channel, where they explore the worlds of Minecraft, Among Us, Stardew Valley, and Call of Duty (which they recently played with Ryan Key of Yellowcard). You can catch their weekly live series by adding their linktr.ee to your bookmarks.

Dreamer Boy × All Our Dreams Came True Tour

Nashville’s genre-blurring singer/songwriter Dreamer Boy has announced his first ever headline tour. The All Our Dreams Came True tour will kick off on September 22 in Atlanta, GA, and run through October 4 in Los Angeles, CA. Dreamer Boy (Zach Taylor) will have support along the tour route from GRANDMA, Jack Larsen, May Rio, carwash and others.

Back in April, Dreamer Boy released his critically acclaimed album All The Ways We Are Together via slowplay and Harvest Records. The release on Earth Day was tied into various activations core to who Zach Taylor is as an artist and as a human. Streams from the album helped to plant 1,500 trees in partnership with One Tree Planted. This fall, fans will have the chance to hear the hazy, sentimental tracks off of this record live, as they were intended to be enjoyed. Purchase tickets HERE.

For Zach Taylor optimism is a calling. With a smile that hardly ever leaves his face, the 24-year-old songwriter/singer explains that the misty, shape-shifting pop music he’s made for the last few years as Dreamer Boy has been a way of accomplishing a grander aim. “I want to spread love and light and joy,” he says, matter-of-factly. And spread that he’s done, whether on the road with friends Clairo, Omar Apollo, and Still Woozy, or on the themes of his new release, All the Ways We Are Together. Dreamer Boy’s purpose has become clearer over time, and, in the spirit of unity and harmony, the Nashville-based singer and songwriter chose Earth Day as his album’s release date.

Dempsey Hope × Strawberry Cheesecake

Seattle-based artist on the rise Dempsey Hope releases his new track “strawberry cheesecake” via RCA Records. Listen HERE. “strawberry cheesecake” follows Dempsey’s latest tracks “birds”, “picture perfect”, “on my mind” and “autumn” which was featured in Billboard’s “10 Cool New Pop Songs To Get You Through The Week” column.

Dempsey says, “this record overall is a fun summer love song but “strawberry cheesecake” in this is a symbol for that special thing you can do for your significant other, maybe they’re in a bad mood or you messed up some plans you guys had and you need to make up for it so you stop and get their favorite treat. kinda like “brownie points” if you know what that means? my girlfriend doesn’t actually love strawberry cheesecake it was more of a metaphor, my girls equivalent to strawberry cheesecake is probably coffee or just my love and affection.”

Last fall, Dempsey released the dempsey hope project. The project was a collection of 10 songs that Dempsey had spent months working on and featured “baby blue” ft. Olivia O’Brien (watch the lyric video HERE) as well as fan favorites such as “roller rink” which was featured in Billboard’s “10 Cool New Pop Songs To Get You Through The Week,” “time flies” and “elephant in the room” feat. gnash.

Coheed and Cambria × Shoulders

Coheed and Cambria have shared the official music video for “Shoulders,” their first proper studio recording in almost three years. Streaming now on the band’s YouTube channel, the Max Moore directed video captures the band delivering a powerful performance of the track set within a cavernous industrial space. Watch it HERE.

“As a band, we’ve always been a little outside of the mainstream and that’s helped keep us true to ourselves. As people, it’s important to focus on your strengths and who you are, and not try too hard for acceptance. Everyone is special and has their own unique contributions and that’s what the video represents,” remarked the band.

The song “Shoulders” was officially released on July 21 and has since amassed over 1,000,000 streams and become the first song inside the top 40 at Active Rock radio in the band’s history, currently sitting at 31 with a bullet.

“A total banger as explosive and catchy as anything they’ve ever released,” declared REVOLVER who placed “Shoulders” in their weekly Best New Songs Right Now round-up. “Coheed and Cambria are back, and they’re heavy as ever,” asserted Billboard, with Guitar World attesting “Coheed and Cambria have come out swinging.” Brooklyn Vegan observed, “It finds the band embracing their love of classic heavy metal riffage, before exploding into the kind of soaring chorus that Coheed have been churning out since day one they sound pretty damn inspired.”

For the last 20 years, Coheed and Cambria have continuously broken the mold of what a rock band can be, forging their own path and building a universe around their music unlike any other. Whether it is in the way their genre-spanning approach to songwriting has allowed them to bridge worlds without being contained to one, or the multifaceted story arc of their albums and comic book series which mark the longest running concept story in music, Coheed and Cambria have consistently shaped new standards, never conformed.

“Shoulders” touches on the highs and lows of this journey, and how at times it can be frustrating to be an outsider to trendy circles, but in the end, doing it your own way has the biggest rewards.

Coheed and Cambria vocalist / guitarist Claudio Sanchez commented on “Shoulders” noting, “In art, in your career, in relationships. No matter how much you give of yourself or try, you have to accept that not everything in life can be a perfect fit.”

Ironically, “Shoulder” might be the band’s most accessible material of their career, built with ferocious riffs and a towering chorus – maybe it’s time for the best of both worlds.

Later this summer Coheed and Cambria will embark on a outdoor co-headlining amphitheater tour with The Used. The 18-city U.S. tour, produced by Live Nation, will begin on Friday, Aug 27 in Irvine, CA and make stops in Phoenix, Dallas, Cleveland, New Jersey, Worcester, and more. The late summer journey will feature special guests Meet Me @ The Altar and caroles daughter on select dates and will culminate with performance at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL on Sept 2. A full listing of dates can be found below along with additional information HERE.

It’s been almost three years since Coheed and Cambria’s 2018 album, “Vaxis I: The Unheavenly Creatures,” was released as the band’s “return to concept” album. After stepping away with a more introspective album in 2015, frontman Claudio Sanchez and the band returned to the sci-fi universe of “The Amory Wars” in what was said to be the first of a 5-part series of albums. With the release of “Shoulders,” and a major summer tour now announced, the volume of fans’ chatter for “Vaxis 2” are loading up the band’s social media pages.
