Issam Alnajjar New Single Mn Gheirik Enti

After unprecedented worldwide success on his debut single Hadal Ahbek, breakout Jordanian pop phenomenon Issam Alnajjar releases his new single Mn Gheirik Enti today via Universal Arabic Music.

Mn Gheirik Enti, which translates to “without you” in English, is a catchy and energetic love song about your partner accepting you for who you are, flaws and all. Issam smoothly sings over bouncy acoustic guitar, percussion, and hand claps, as the tempo picks up in the chorus, and he exclaims, “I keep asking myself what’s missing? How did you approve of me with all my flaws? Me, whose life is upside down. Mn Gheirik Enti is the follow-up single to Issam’s global viral hit Hadal Ahbek, released earlier this year. Breakthrough singer, songwriter and musician Joy Oladokun’s new deluxe album, in defense of my own happiness (complete), is out today via Amigo Records/Verve Forecast/Republic Records. The special extended edition includes all 14 tracks from her major label debut, in defense of my own happiness, as well as the ten additional songs from her self-released 2020 record, in defense of my own happiness (the beginnings), and one new track, judas.

In celebration of the new music, Oladokun will be featured on NPR’s “All Things Considered” this afternoon speaking with host Ari Shapiro, and recently made her debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert performing sunday from Nashville’s newly opened National Museum of African American Music.

Norwegian Air Customers Donate to UNICEF

$3 Million Donated to UNICEF by Norwegian Air Passengers

Customers of Norwegian Air, the World’s Best Low-Cost Long-Haul Airline and Value Airline of the Year, have donated a total of three million dollars since a donation option was introduced to the booking process in July 2015.

Within its first year, the new donation option raised more than $720,000, and in July 2018, Norwegian introduced onboard donations featured in the personal in-flight entertainment system on its Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet. American passengers are among the top donors with Californians donating the most to UNICEF.

Norwegian and UNICEF established its signature partnership in 2007. Since then the airline has supported various initiatives, which also includes its “Fill a Plane” campaign, saving hundreds of thousands of children. Five humanitarian flights carried out since 2014 have brought tons of emergency aid to the Central African Republic; the world’s second-largest refugee camp, Za’atari in Jordan; Mali; to Djibouti for relief to Yemen; and last year, to Chad.

Through the booking process customers can choose to donate $3, $5, $10 or $15, which will go directly to UNICEF. Donations can support the following:

  • $3 can provide a life-saving mosquito net, which will protect newborns against malaria;
  • $5 can enable UNICEF to vaccinate 20 children against polio;
  • $10 can provide an entire class of 20 students with exercise books; and
  • $15 can buy 38 packets of therapeutic food – enough for two-weeks of treatment for a malnourished child.

“I would like to personally thank all our wonderful customers for their generosity. Their donations help UNICEF ensure that even more children around the world get access to the future they deserve. When it is this easy to donate, we notice that many more contribute to such a great cause,” said Norwegian’s Founder and CEO, Bjørn Kjos.

Norwegian passengers donate the most as they also represent the largest nationality of the airline’s customer base. Most generous per donation, however, are the Danes. Among American customers, passengers out of Oakland are the most generous per donation (average $5.50 donation), followed by Los Angeles ($5.40) and New Yorkers ($5.08), although in total, more New Yorkers donated as the city is home to most Norwegian routes.

Air Jordan III

Interscope Records and Jordan have collaborated on a limited-edition Air Jordan III sneaker in celebration of this year’s NBA All-Star Weekend, taking place in the label’s home city of Los Angeles. This is the first time the record label and brand have collaborated on a shoe.

In addition to the shoe, The Interscope and Air Jordan experience will launch this weekend to support NBA All-Star. The build out consists of a full consumer experience, on-site customization and live music. Interscope has built a fully functioning studio on campus where their artists will be utilizing equipment throughout the weekend. So far, recording artist and producer Pi’erre Bourne, Shady Records artist Boogie, Smino and LVRN’s Lou The Human have all visited the studio.

SOLE DXB’S ANNUAL FESTIVAL LIT UP DUBAI THIS WEEKEND

 

From Thursday December 7th to December 9th,  the biggest players in music, art, fashion and design gathered at Sole DXB for the 7th annual cultural festival at d3 Dubai. Panel discussions, showcases, performances, and more are part of this globally-known festival. Sole DXB garners media attention from all over the world. The festival showcased some of the biggest fashion brands including Dior, Nike, Puma and more. Guests were also treated to performances from Kano G.O.O.D Music President rapper Pusha T, NxWorries, Anderson Paak + Knxwledge,  H.E.R,  Teyana TaylorGoldlinkIAMDDB, DJ, Stretch Armstrong and more.

Other notable guests on the fashion front include, Japanese streetwear royalty Hiroshi Fujiwara and Los Angeles based fashion designer Melody Ehsani are some of the names attending the event to showcase their work and participate in panel conversations. Exclusive wares from massive brands including Reebok, Lacoste, Timberland, Toms, Cadillac, Pepsi Co., Neighborhood, Visvim, Diesel and many more will be participating as well.
