Jex x 2 A.M.

Gathering 100 million streams on popular collaborations and earning acclaim from EDM.com and more, New Jersey electronic pop songstress Jex introduces a scorching signature style on her first solo single “2AM” today. It notably marks her official debut for Eddie O Entertainment/Casablanca Records.

The track rides a dance floor-tailored disco bounce and thick piano towards a powerhouse refrain. Jex’s vocals explode from intimate verses into a soaring nocturnal chorus.

Regarding the single, she commented, I tried to capture the personal experience of not being able to sleep, because you’re thinking about someone. I’m not in love with this person, but at that time of night, it sometimes feels like you are. This person is just on your mind.”

Jex has already moved listeners everywhere with a high-powered catalog of collaborations. However, she’s offering an escape in her solo material uplifted to the heavens by her seismic vocals. Right now, she’s preparing more music for release very soon.

Jex recognized her calling as a kid in a small South Jersey farm town outside of Philadelphia. Her father gigged regularly, and he brought Jex out on stage at a young age. She studied piano for twelve years and gained a deep understanding of theory. At the same time, she taught herself how to compose by listening to everyone from Lady Gaga, Sia, and Amy Winehouse to Boston and Foreigner. She dropped out of college and locked herself inside of her home studio. Her voice caught the attention of various producers, and she quietly emerged as an in-demand vocalist. In 2017, she initially teamed up with Humain for “My Way,” opening up the floodgates. She joined forces with Robin Hustin and Tobi Morrow on “Light It Up,” surpassing 27.8 million Spotify streams. She landed her biggest collaboration to date by fueling “Control” by Unknown Brain and Rival to over 42 million Spotify streams. Other bangers included Lost Sky’s “Where We Started,” posting up another 19 million Spotify streams.

Meanwhile, EDM.com described her collaboration with Leowi “These Days” as “a stunning dance ballad.” In 2020, she inked a publishing deal with Ultra Publishing. During 2021, she landed a deal with Eddie O Entertainment/Casablanca Records.

BIG SEAN × DETROIT PISTONS

The Detroit Pistons announced hip-hop icon and Detroit-native Big Sean will become the organization’s Creative Director of Innovation. In this role, Big Sean will provide creative counsel and strategic guidance on a variety of Pistons off-the-court initiatives, including team merchandise design, in-game experience, co-branded community, and social responsibility activation, and more.

To kick off the partnership, Big Sean has added his Don Life logo to the Pistons practice jersey. Photos of the jerseys are attached.

“Sean is an accomplished artist, philanthropist and entrepreneur. Having spent time with him and his family I know how deeply he cares about the city of Detroit,” said Pistons Owner Tom Gores. “We share a common desire to use the power of sports and entertainment to improve our community and make a positive impact on people’s lives. I’m excited to see what we can do working together.”

Central to the partnership, the Pistons and the Sean Anderson Foundation will work together and engage Detroiters through future community initiatives and programming. The six-time Grammy nominee will also curate music for Pistons in-game entertainment, including halftime performances and DJ playlists. Additionally, Big Sean will participate in creative sessions and spearhead collaborations with the Pistons design team to launch custom merchandise line extensions.

“It’s a dream come true and a real honor to get to work with the iconic Detroit Pistons,” said Big Sean. “I grew up in the city, which naturally made me a fan of the Bad Boys. I would later have a Grant Hill poster on my wall and then, against all odds, would watch the ’04 Pistons go on to win the Championship, inspiring the whole city of Detroit. I look forward to creatively finding new ways to contribute to their legacy and continue their dedication to the community through sports, art, and, of course, music.”

Detroit Pistons Chief Business Officer Mike Zavodsky lauded the addition of Big Sean and sees the partnership as a natural fit for the Pistons and their newly launched D-Up brand campaign.

“Big Sean embodies everything the Pistons organization and our D-Up campaign is about – creativity, hard work, and the people of Detroit,” said Zavodsky. “Big Sean and the Pistons are both a part of the fabric of Detroit, and we look forward to this partnership reflecting the culture of the city we both call home.”

FLETCHER Headlines the Bud Light Dive Bar Tour Presented by GLAAD

FLETCHER performed an intimate show in San Francisco at Cafe du Nord as a part of the 2019 Bud Light Dive Bar Tour last night. This show, presented by GLAAD, was the third stop of the tour following Brett Eldredge and Judah & The Lion’s shows in St. Louis and Denver respectively.

San Francisco’s Dive Bar Tour stop highlighted Bud Light’s partnership with GLAAD for the 20th consecutive year, with their limited-edition Pride bottles that were on full display and decor to match the celebration. FLETCHER had the crowd singing along to her chart-topping song “Undrunk” as well as previewing new songs from her upcoming album. Fans especially loved when she gave a special shout out to Post Malone, performing “Better Now”, and her tribute to the LGBTQ+ community and Bud Light GLAAD partners with her performance of Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colors.”

About the show FLETCHER shared, “This show feels like such a full circle and natural moment for me. My first show was in a dive bar near my hometown in Jersey. Following Bud Light’s stop in San Francisco, the tour will travel to New York in August and Miami in November with two artists to be announced later this year.
