Daddy Yankee‘s critically acclaimed chart-topping magnum opus and final album, LEGENDADDY, has already eclipsed 600 million global streams and counting in less than a month! Speaking to the excitement around the last chapter of his genre-defining career, his farewell tour, “LA ÚLTIMA VUELTA” (The Last Round), has already sold out in advance of its launch this summer. He also recently shared the music video for “X ÚLTIMA VEZ” with Bad Bunny. It has generated 40 million-plus views thus far.
Upon release, LEGENDADDY landed as the #1 Latin Album in the World! It bowed at #1 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums Chart, arriving as his fifth consecutive #1 debut on the respective chart. Additionally, it catapulted into the Top 10 of the Billboard Top 200 at #8, marking his highest position on the chart to date and the first Top 10 in 15 years since 2007’s El Cartel: The Big Boss. Additionally, it soared to #1 on the Spotify Weekly Top Albums Chart.
LEGENDADDY incited widespread critical applause. Variety proclaimed, “Spanning over three decades of music, the 19-track collection captures the essence of reggaeton, salsa, dancehall, rap, trap, bachata, EDM, and Caribbean influencers,” and The New York Times noted, “The most dynamic moments come when Yankee reaches for the magic of the past—whether indulging in boastful hubris or summoning listeners into dance floor reverie.” Rolling Stone awarded the record “4-out-of-5 stars” and raved, “He’s going out in a blaze of glory.
Right out of the gate, LEGENDADDY took over Spotify worldwide, ascending to #1 on the Global Album Chart, achieving the biggest streaming day of his career on Spotify with a staggering 35.7 million streams—almost double his prior career best. The album reached #1 in 19 markets, including Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Mexico, Spain and more on Apple Music‘s all-genres list. Additionally, five of the album’s music videos have vaulted into the Top 10 on YouTube. He has bested his own personal records with the album—and it has only just begun to catch fire too.
However, his goodbye is hardly an occasion for tears. Instead, LEGENDADDY might just be the biggest part of the century as he invites a variety of A-list friends to celebrate over three decades of music on this 19-track opus. To herald the record’s arrival, he accompanied the release with nine exhilarating and high-energy music videos for “AGUA,” “LA OLA,” “ZONA DEL PERREO,” “HOT,” “BOMBÓN,” “EL ABUSADOR DEL ABUSADOR,” “IMPARES,” and for his single: “REMIX.” The single’s head-nodding beat and reggaeton production underscore hard-hitting verses and a rafter-reaching refrain. It pops off as a banger on par with his most applauded output. The accompanying visual proves equally scorching, stylish, and sexy.
From the epic Michael Buffer-led opener “LEGENDADDY” through the emotional finale “BLOKE,” LEGENDADDY traverses a myriad of styles and sounds made famous by Daddy Yankee throughout his iconic run thus far. Other highlights on the album include “CAMPEÓN,” which tackles his career and what it took for him to be a champion in the industry as well as his staple signature tropical fusion sound that he melds together so well with the Luny (Luny Tunes)-produced “RUMBATÓN.”
LEGENDADDY stands out as his first album in ten years and his boldest, brightest, and biggest musical statement ever.
For one last time, he will canvas the world on his sold-out “LA ÚLTIMA VUELTA” (The Last Round) tour. Promoted byCardenas Marketing Networkand Raphy Pina, MR Sold Out, the five-month trek includes some of the rapper/songwriters’ biggest headline shows in North America and Latin America to date.
On his retirement, Daddy Yankee said, “Today, I’m announcing my retirement from music by giving you my best production and concert tour. I will say goodbye celebrating these 32 years of experience with this new collector’s item, my album LEGENDADDY. I’m going to give you all the styles that have defined me in one single album.”
That album is LEGENDADDY, and it is here forever.
About Daddy Yankee
As a culture creator, game-changer, agent of change, and groundbreaker, Daddy Yankee has consistently inspired, impacted, and influenced generations of creators. An indisputable icon, he remains one of the most influential artists of all time, bringing reggaeton worldwide for the first time. Latin music and culture would not look, sound or feel the same without him. It’s hard to even imagine the genre itself without “Gasolina,” “Despacito” [with Luis Fonsi] or “Con Calma” [with Snow], and more.
Monster Energy congratulates Kokomo Murase on her first-place finish in Women’s Snowboard Slopestyle at the Audi SnowJam in Spindleruv Mlyn, Czech Republic. In the official World Cup event sanctioned by the International Ski Federation (FIS), the 17-year-old from Gifu, Japan, earned a dominant victory. She now ranks first in FIS World Cup Slopestyle and has secured the Crystal Globe win in overall Women’s Park & Pipe rankings.
As the penultimate event of the FIS World Cup season, the Audi SnowJam was contested from March 16-19 for the first time in five years. The contest at the popular resort inside Krkonoše National Park offered one of the last chances to collect points towards winning the 2021/22 season’s coveted Crystal Globe trophies.
Scoring points is exactly what brought Monster Energy’s Murase to the Czech Republic. The young Japanese ripper dropped into the contest ranked in first position on the FIS World Cup Slopestyle leaderboards in a tie with Canada’s Laurie Blouin at 160 points. This was her chance to build a commanding lead.
And she did. On the creative downhill course, Murase worked the rail with a switch backside boardslide pretzel into a backside 900 off the jump, Cab 720 mute grab, lipslide pretzel the kicker rail and a huge frontside 1080 lien grab at the bottom. At 89.25 points, she finished 13.00 points ahead of the next competitor for a dominant victory. To learn more about snowboard terminology, click HERE.
“I’m so happy, I did my best in riding this competition and I’m very happy I won,” said Murase.
After Saturday’s win at Spindleruv Mlyn, Murase now leads the 2022 FIS Women’s Snowboard Slopestyle rankings with 260.00 points, a strong 86 points ahead of Jasmine Baird in second place. With one more contest to go, Murase also commands an unbeatable score of 396.00 points in Women’s Park & Pipe overall World Cup standings. Leading the next competitor by 122 points, the Japanese ripper has secured the season’s Crystal Globe trophy.
Will Murase also claim the Slopestyle trophy? Stay tuned for the final World Cup of the season next weekend at Silvaplana, Switzerland, from March 25-27.
Prior to this weekend’s World Cup, Murase claimed bronze in Women’s Snowboard Big Air at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. At age 13, she made history at X Games Norway 2018 as the first girl to land a 1260 double cork in competition and became the youngest Winter X Games athlete ever to win a gold medal.

Monster Energy’s Ski and Snowboard Athletes Claim Medals on Day 3 of X Games Aspen 2022
Monster Energy congratulates its team of freeski and snowboard athletes on claiming four medals (1 gold and 3 bronze) on the third and final day of X Games Aspen 2022 at Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen Snowmass, Colorado.
ASPEN, Colo., Jan. 24, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Another history-making edition of X Games Aspen is in the books! Monster Energy congratulates its team of freeski and snowboard athletes on claiming four medals (1 gold and 3 bronze) on the third and final day of X Games Aspen 2022 at Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen Snowmass, Colorado.
In the highly competitive Men’s Ski Slopestyle final, 23-year-old Monster Energy rider Alex Hall from Park City, Utah, posted a perfect run on his last attempt to walk away with the bronze medal. As the nighttime action kicked off with Wendy’s Ski Knuckle Huck, 24-year-old American Quinn Wolferman claimed gold by posting the most creative tricks in the jam session. Plus, all-round talent Alex Hall edged into bronze-medal position and became the first male winter sports athlete to take home medals in three contest events at the same X Games.
Rounding out an action-packed weekend, the Men’s Ski SuperPipe final saw 31-year-old Olympic freeskier David Wise from Reno, Nevada, take the bronze medal in an elite field.
The world’s biggest snow sports spectacle returned to Aspen in the heart of the Rocky Mountains for the 21st consecutive time this weekend. Started in 1997 at Snow Summit Resort in Big Bear Lake, California, the Winter X Games celebrated 25 years of showcasing the latest progression in snow sports this weekend.
Supported by Monster Energy as the official energy drink partner of X Games, the three-day spectacle featured Men’s and Women’s Ski and Snowboard competitions in the disciplines of Slopestyle, Big Air, SuperPipe, and the innovative Knuckle Huck, alongside Special Olympics Unified competitions. As the pinnacle of winter action sports, X Games Aspen 2022 brought out 87 of the world’s best action sports athletes competing for a total of 42 medals across 14 disciplines.
The fans were also back on Buttermilk Mountain in full force! After allowing only athletes and staff the previous year, X Games Aspen 2022 welcomed spectators back to competition viewing and X Fest areas amid stringent COVID-19 safety protocols. This weekend featured fan activations, a festival village and DJ performances. ESPN and ABC broadcast 13.5 hours of live competition, with 7.5 additional hours streamed live on @XGames digital channels, and all 21 hours were live via the ESPN App.
Here’s how the action unfolded for team Monster Energy on the final day of X Games Aspen 2022:
Men’s Ski Slopestyle: Monster Energy’s Alex Hall Takes Bronze in Heated Finals
The final day of X Games Aspen 2022 started with a showdown for the history books: The Men’s Ski Slopestyle final featured ten of the world’s leading freeskiers, including five prior medalists in the disciple as well as defending champion Nick Goepper from Indiana. Countries represented in the final session included Canada, Norway, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
In a 35-minute jam session, riders took turns trying to post the highest-scoring single run on the downhill obstacle course. Designed by expert snow shapers Snowpark Technologies, the course challenged riders with 15 different rail and jib obstacles at the top, plus a series of consecutive jumps that ended in a massive final jump also used in the weekend’s Big Air discipline.
Amid blue skies and favorable course conditions, the level of riding soon escalated with athletes such as Monster Energy’s James Woods posting perfect runs and next-level tricks. Other riders struggled to land the line they wanted, including 23-year-old Monster Energy rider Alex Hall from Park City, Utah. Although he was boosted by a sensational Ski Big Air win on the previous night, Hall had difficulty on the rails and found himself far outside podium position as the contest went into last attempts.
With only one run to go, Hall proved once again that he has the nerves and bag of tricks for down-to-the-wire situations. On the rails, he showcased his technical progression with a switch on gap 450 the cannon rail, 450 on 450 out, and Cab 270 pretzel 450 out. In the jump section, he put down a clean left double 1080 and an extremely difficult rightside double cork 900 pullback; technically a 1080-degree rotation but ‘pulled back’ 180 degrees in the opposite direction right before landing. On the final hit, Hall stomped a switch leftside 1800 in his signature Buick grab to finish in bronze-medal position. And he still had plans for Knuckle Huck!
Wendy’s Ski Knuckle Huck: Monster Energy’s Quinn Wolferman Claims Golden Knuckle, Alex Hall Takes Bronze as Third Medal at the Same X Games
The last nighttime segment of X Games Aspen 2022 kicked off with the Wendy’s Ski Knuckle Huck under the floodlights. In a 20-minute jam session, eight of the world’s best freeskiers ‘hucked’ their most technical and stylish moves off the Big Air jump ramp’s roll-over, also called the ‘knuckle’.
When the action got underway, 24-year-old Quinn Wolferman from Missoula, Montana, was looking to improve on finishing in third place at X Games Aspen 2021 and 2020. But with riders like previous gold medalist Colby Stevenson in the mix, it was a tall order.
But in a showcase of style and creativity, Wolferman convinced the judges to earn the coveted Knuckle Huck gold medal in the shape of a Golden Knuckle. Highlights included leftside 720 tail grab off the nose, tailbutter underflip revert, worm turn slide and a huge double cork 1080 out of a nose butter sent far down the landing.
“I’m kind of speechless honestly! Thanks to everybody who lets us come out here and do this. It’s been the best Knuckle Huck, yet” said Wolferman upon taking the Golden Knuckle trophy at X Games Aspen 2022. “Everybody crushed and these dudes all went so hard! I commend them all for coming out and sending it!”
Born and raised under the great big Midwestern sky of Montana, Wolferman is known for his slopestyle and street talent. Sunday’s gold medal is his career-first medal at an X Games (Knuckle Huck did not award silver or bronze medals in previous years).
Also rising to the podium, Alex Hall put his signature drive for innovation on full display in the jam session. Tricks like a switch hand drag slide late shifty, backslide one-footer to 360, backslide backward noseslide to Cab 360 and big spin nose and tail butter to Cab 360 and a low backward belly slide over the knuckle to late pretzel earned him the bronze medal.
And just like that, Hall made history as the first male winter sports athlete to take home medals in three contest events at the same X Games. Hall now owns 9 X Games medals (5 Gold, 1 Silver, 3 Bronze). The Park City local has also achieved the rare feat of earning X Games gold medals in four disciplines: Big Air, Slopestyle, Knuckle Huck, and the Real Ski video competition.
Men’s Ski SuperPipe: Monster Energy’s David Wise Soars to Bronze Medal Finish
Wrapping up the 25th edition of Winter X Games in style, the nighttime action culminated in the Men’s Ski SuperPipe final. The high-energy crowd celebrated a 35-minute jam session of progressive vertical freeski on hallowed ground: With its 22-feet high walls and 570-feet in overall length, the SuperPipe on Buttermilk Mountain is praised by competitors as the best of its kind on the circuit.
Setting the tone for an epic final event, hip-hop artist ASAP Ferg performed at the bottom of the SuperPipe. Then it was time for ten finalists to battle for the top spot. The field included riders from Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Out of ten riders, five had previously won X Games gold in the discipline – so the level of riding was bound to be off the charts!
The list of previous gold medalists on the roster also included David Wise from Reno, Nevada, who took the win in X Games SuperPipe four times (Aspen 2012-2014, Aspen 2018). Currently in peak shape for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, Wise rose all the way to second place at the FIS World Cup at Mammoth before coming to Aspen.
Although dropping in as the oldest competitor at 31 years, the two-time Olympic gold medalist proved he still has the skills to rise to the podium. In his third run of the night, Wise put together a perfect routine. Dropping into the SuperPipe backwards, he landed a switch rightside 720, switch leftside double cork 1080 Japan, corked rightside 540 tailgrab, leftside double cork 1260 mute grab, and rightside double cork 1260 mute on the final wall for the bronze medal.
By earning bronze on Sunday night, Wise broke a record: Previously, no man older than 28 had earned a Ski SuperPipe medal at X Games. Known as a pioneer of freeski halfpipe riding, Wise has seen and won it all: His unparalleled track record includes two Olympic gold medals (2014 and 2018) as seven X Games medals (4 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze). Wise will represent the United States in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
This wraps up a history-making edition of Winter X Games in Aspen! When all was said and done, the Monster Energy team took home an incredible 23 medals (5 Gold, 7 Silver, 11 Bronze) in the world’s biggest winter action sports showcase.

With the COVID-19 pandemic reaching another surge this holiday season, its more important than ever to stay safe, protected and healthy. With the pandemic continuing throughout the winter season, it’s easy to forget that the chilling winter weather can result in the muscles and ligaments of our bodies to contract and tighten significantly more. The muscles and ligaments that strengthen the back and spine, as well as the shoulders and knees, are considerably impacted by these seasonal changes.
Implementing a consistent stretching routine can lower your risk of injury, and can even elevate the healing process of a previous injury. Engaging in basic back stretches such as the child’s pose or cat-cow and enhance strength and flexibility to your spine.
Wear proper footwear
Dr. Rita Roy encourages everyone to be mindful of the shoes that you plan to wear depending on the weather you may be dealing with. Make sure that your footwear is a fitting size, by trying them on in-store first, if you can. Ensure that your shoes have proper lining to keep you warm during the chilling temperatures. Making note to purchase a set of footwear that has non-stick rubber soles and treads on the bottom of the shoe for an extra level of safety from slipping. Remember to also take those shoes off when you head indoors, replacing them with socks or slippers, so you don’t run the risk of slipping inside as well.
Be aware of your surroundings
If you know that you may be heading outside, make sure to pay attention to what surfaces you step foot on. To get ahead of the game, keep up on the weather conditions heading your way. If you live in an area with a lot of icy roads and sidewalks, make sure to take your time, walk slowly and steer clear of carrying large items along your path. Make sure to look around you and use the objects that are not moving to your advantage; hold onto a handrail or tree to give yourself some extra balance. Keep your eyes peeled and watch around you to avoid unwarranted hazards.
While winter follows the holiday season, this may warrant a lot of eating, sitting around and mood shifts. Seasonal depression is ever apparent through this time of year, so it’s extremely crucial to get your body moving to aid the dreariness that comes with winter. Moving around in between meals through exercising can help you in more ways than you may know.
Don’t overextend yourself
While it is crucial that you keep exercising, be sure to not overreach these efforts. The end of the holiday season raises a whole new set of physical activities, such as, hanging Christmas lights and shoveling snow. These unique tasks pose risks to the body because these are not activities that are regularly carried out year-round. Shoveling snow can cause intense stress to your back. It is vital that you use proper techniques and equipment when carrying out these tasks. Give yourself well-needed breaks and time to rest while participating in these endeavors.
Always wear a seatbelt
This may seem like a misplaced tip among the rest, but nonetheless this one is exceptionally valuable. Studies have found that a large amount of weather-related auto accidents happen throughout the winter, and around 76,000 people become hurt in accidents that result on snowy or slushy roads. Back pain can result from a mere low-speed fender-bender since the body was not anticipating the impact. So, keeping your seatbelt on can limit these sudden movements.
Finding the perfect gift can be difficult, and when shopping for the person you love most, you certainly don’t want to get anything that’s not the best. A box of chocolates and flowers may be fine, but it’s much better to get something more original to show them you care.

Maestro Moon Phase Watch
The Maestro Moon Phase gives a new meaning to space & time. A moon phase aperture at six o’clock adds an element of otherworldly romance to this classic watch. Moon phase displays were common on clocks & pocket watches dating back to the renaissance period. Combining art & science, this feature demonstrates watchmaking technical mastery. Moon phase watches show the various phases of the moon, which has always provided time with an orientation. The moon was the first method of telling the passing of months.
A “moon phase” is the lighted area of the moon that is visible as it travels around the earth. Its journey is exactly 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes & 2.9 seconds.
To set your maestro moon phase watch, you must determine the date of the last full moon in the lunar cycle. Once you have the number of days, pull out the crown and twist counterclockwise. Turn once for each day elapsed.
While this measurement of time may be antiquated; it still represents historical craftsmanship & gives this maestro model a whimsical vintage appeal. The combined open balance wheel on this maestro watch reveals the “heart of the movement”. It is just a glimpse into the precision, quality, and technical assembly inside the refined design of a 39.5mm case.

Hopping Ghosts Figurine
Osaka Popstar presents “Hopping Ghosts” the new Ltd Ed. 8″ vinyl figure that comes complete with its own punk-rock theme song!
Chinese vampire mythology takes a spin through the mind of Osaka Popstar creator/frontman John Cafiero-who designed the figure and penned the accompanying single.
Each figure is 8-inches tall, with a removable scroll spell accessory, and comes packaged in a full-color art box with a free download card for the new single “Hopping Ghosts” by Osaka Popstar. The single features John Cafiero (vocals) backed by a lineup featuring Dennis Diken (The Smithereens) Drums, Sal Maida (Cracker, Milk & Cookies, Roxy Music) Bass, and Dean Rispler (The Dictators NYC, Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black) Guitar. Download also includes an alternate “animated instrumental” version (as heard in the animated promo for the new figure line).
What exactly is a Hopping Ghost? Known as Jiangshi in Chinese folklore and kyonshī in Japan, hopping ghosts or hopping vampires are basically a breed of zombie; reanimated corpses dressed in traditional garments from the Qing Dynasty. Rigor mortis has set in so they can only move around by hopping with their arms outstretched! They can’t see using traditional vision. Instead, they sense living creatures by their breath and seek to absorb the life force of the living. They can be stopped with a scroll to the forehead containing a spell written in a mix of ink and blood and led by Taoist priests using bells.

moon d’elle Collection 2
Italian luxury footwear brand moon d’elle is proud to announce the launch of its Capri-inspired Collection 2, arriving April 11, 2022.
Collection 2 marks the brand’s first foray into sandals, just in time for warmer weather. Founders and sisters Tabitha and Chandra Perkins were inspired by a trip to Capri, which they explored mostly by foot and boat, when designing their latest collection.
The vibrant hues and natural elements of the island found themselves embedded in this collection. From the deep blue hues of the sea to the light blue waters of the grottos, the blush hues of sunsets along sandy beaches, and even the shapes of the sunlight’s rays, the sisters drew inspiration from the natural beauty of the island for the colors, textures, and silhouettes of their latest pieces.
The second collection continues to showcase one of moon d’elle‘s signature traits of mixing different materials and textures to fuse classic with modern elements, such as nappa leather and snakeskin, with a partial lamination in metallic on precious suede with linen fabric. Light-colored earth tones and pastels dominate the newest designs, with fresh materials like transparent mesh, crystal appliques, and glitter rainbow leather.

Premier Boutique Heli-Skiing Operator Takes Action on Climate Change by Taking a Hard Look at its Operations and Offsetting its Carbon Footprint
Northern Escape Heli-Skiing (NEH) has recently become one of the first carbon-neutral heli-skiing operators in the world. The operator partnered with Synergy Enterprises and Offsetters, Canada’s leading carbon management agency, to take action on climate change and offset its current carbon footprint. NEH purchased offsets that benefit The Great Bear Forest and the First Nations living in the region, as well as the Lara Ceramic plant-based in Brazil by helping to decrease deforestation in the area.
In addition, the operator has a three-year plan to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions and adopt renewable energy sources, such as solar panels and electric vehicles to support its operations. The passion to create a more sustainable approach to heli-skiing comes from NEH leadership. “Over the 35 years of my career as an ACMG Guide, I have witnessed incremental changes in our climate, our snowpack, and our glaciers. The first of many steps to achieve this for us is to become carbon neutral. We need to do the best we can to mitigate climate change and become a part of the solution rather than a part of the problem. Every single department of our company is drilling down to the basics of how we can shift our operations to mitigate our environmental impact.” explains NEH Co-founder & General Manager, John Forrest.
NEH is located in Skeena Mountains near Terrace, BC, and is only a short 90-minute flight from Vancouver. It connects a worldwide community of skiers and boarders to more than 5,500 sq km of pristine wilderness. To be able to do this responsibly, the management of the company, with the help of Synergy and Offsetters, analyzed every single aspect of the company’s operations from mountain commute to the guest experience. “We work with the various recycling companies in Terrace to decrease our use of single-use plastics as much as possible. Once our machines cycle through their lifespan we’ll be replacing them with electric ones, and we’ll be encouraging guests to purchase carbon offsets for their flights,” says Forrest.
NEH is a boutique heli-skiing operator offering a variety of custom packages for small groups of skiers and boarders from all over the world. Guests have an option to stay at two different lodges and enjoy dining by Red Seal chefs, hot tubs, massages, and more. To learn more about NEH’s environmentally responsible journey, or to book your carbon-neutral stay, please visit: Here
With the holidays behind us and more snowstorms expected in Park City, Utah, YOTELPAD Park City is seeing a robust level of skiers taking advantage of the new hotel’s first season at the base of Park City Mountain.
The largest ski and snowboard resort in the United States, Park City Mountain has added YOTELPAD Park City last month to Canyons Village with easy access to the Gondola and Orange Bubble ski lifts to enjoy skiing, snowboarding, shopping, dining and après ski.
“We’re finding this year that cross country skiing and snowshoeing has taken a leap in popularity with our guests,” said Brandon Tyler, general manager of YOTELPAD Park City. “YOTELPAD Park City is at the base of one of the best ski mountains in the country, and families are relishing all of our outdoor winter activities.”
One national report showed 2019-20 cross country skiing was up to 5.2 percent from year-earlier figures of 4.9 percent, while year-over-year snowshoeing increased to 3.6 percent from 3.4 percent, according to Cross Country Ski Areas Association.
“With 7,300 acres of open mountain terrain as a playground, guests are loving recreating in the clean mountain while naturally distancing from others,” said Tyler, whose team opened the 144-PAD (YOTEL-speak for condos) hotel Dec. 17, 2020.
The first in the world of its kind, YOTELPAD Park City is a fully tech-equipped hotel with self-service check-in stations, Grab+Go meals and drinks, a 24/7 gym with the latest Life Fitness & Peloton equipment, ski valet service, a fireside lounge and more.
“YOTELPAD’s differentiator is our innovative designs for various-sized PADs, which include Italian furniture that transforms into multiple uses in the same room space,” he said. “Guests absolutely love the European-inspired floor plans because they optimize every inch of PADs, which can accommodate up to seven guests and make it the perfect mountain base for adventure seekers.”
Born from creative leaders at London’s YOTEL, the YOTELPAD concept is drastically altering consumers’ images of hotels.
“This first YOTELPAD is changing travelers’ expectation of hotels, which will cause hotels to adapt to travelers’ demands,” said Tyler. “From top to bottom, these PADs offer incredible options for guests. Intelligently designed PADs allow guests to enjoy the benefits of their stay without added expenses.”
Tapping into the local fresh food options, YOTELPAD provides with several local food options.
“To accommodate guests’ preferences, our Grab+Go food express offers fresh, farm-to-table local food,” he said. “Savoury Kitchen provides breakfast burritos, oatmeal, soups, sandwiches and salads. Dinner originates from Rebekah’s Kitchen, with items such as turkey chili and minestrone stew. Gold Creek Farms provides locally harvested cheeses daily.
“From quality coffees, such as Lavazza, to high-end takeaway meals, we offer a wide array of food, drinks and retail items.”
Already at 85 percent sold, YOTELPAD’s owners can submit their PADs into a nightly rental program when not in use.
“Owners can rent their PADs and instantly be listed in YOTEL’s worldwide network for guests seeking new experiences in an environment with modern designs,” said Tyler.
Operating 17 hotels in eight countries, YOTEL recently opened YOTEL London, YOTEL Glasgow and YOTEL Washington, D.C.
“The YOTEL and YOTELPAD concepts are trending, with 13 more YOTELs under development globally and two YOTELPADs being built in Miami and Dubai,” he said.
The tech-forward hotel has built a strong following for its hassle-free solutions, with travelers seeking out hotels in cities and airports from San Francisco to Europe to Singapore.
To provide mountain resort expertise, YOTEL has partnered with Benchmark, a global hospitality leader, to spearhead day-to-day operations of YOTELPAD Park City. Since acquiring Gemstone Hotels & Resorts in 2016, Benchmark has built a strong Park City presence and manages a portfolio of more than 70 unique projects across three continents, including ski properties in Park City, Vail, Lake Tahoe and Jackson Hole.

Monster Energy’s Ski and Snowboard Athletes Claim Three Gold Medals in Slopestyle Events on Day Two of X Games Norway 2020
Way to close out an epic edition of Winter X Games! Monster Energy congratulates its ski and snowboard athletes on a dominant performance on the final day of X Games Norway 2020 this Sunday.
In front of a stoked crowd at Hafjell Resort, team riders Max Parrot (Snowboard), Zoi Sadowski-Synnott (Snowboard) and Maggie Voisin (Freeski) claimed gold medals in Slopestyle events, joined by a silver-medal finish from Kokomo Murase (Snowboard) and bronze medals for Ståle Sandbech (Snowboard) and Giulia Tanno (Freeski).
Now in its fifth consecutive year in Norway, the biggest spectacle in action sports returned to Hafjell Resort about 120 miles north of the city of Oslo for snow sports competitions in a festival atmosphere. Aside from showcasing the highest level of freestyle skiing and snowboarding, the event featured concerts by hot musical acts Arif, Musti, Chris Abolade, and Alan Walker.
Supported by Monster Energy as the official energy drink partner of X Games, the competition attracted the world’s best athletes in competitive freeski and snowboarding. Over the course of two action-packed days, X Games Norway 2020 awarded 26 medals overall, with Monster Energy riders claiming nine medals total (3 gold, 3 silver, 3 bronze).
Here’s how the action unfolded for team Monster Energy on the final day of the invite-only competition in Scandinavia:
Women’s Snowboard Slopestyle: Monster Energy’s Zoi Sadowski-Synnott Claims Second Career Gold Medal, Kokomo Murase Earns Silver Medal
The Monster Energy team’s gold medal run began in Women’s Snowboard Slopestyle, the first medal event contested on Sunday. Amidst low visibility and drizzling rain, eight of the world’s best freestyle snowboarders took on a downhill obstacle course stacked with creative rail elements, quarterpipes, and a massive ‘Money Booter’ jump at the bottom. In a format change introduced at X Games Aspen 2020, winners were no longer determined by their highest-scoring runs, but in a 32-minute jam session scored on overall impression.
When all was said and done, Monster Energy’s Zoi Sadowski-Synnott brought the right blend of technical tricks and solid consistency to the demanding course.
Known for her mastery of switch tricks and new-school style, the 19-year-old from Wanaka, New Zealand, worked the rail section with backside bluntslide to back 180 Same Way out, switch backside 180 over the rail, noseslide pretzel, switch boardslide to gap, and frontside boardslide down the big rail. In the jump section, she sent a big backside 720, switch backside 540, frontside 720, switch backside double cork 900 stalefish, and a double backflip over the Money Booter that sealed the win.
“It’s pretty tricky right now because it’s raining, which has been a change from all the other days we’ve been riding. I came in today knowing it’s about who rides the best under these conditions. So that’s what I was trying to do,” said Zoi Sadowski-Synnott upon claiming gold in Women’s Snowboard Slopestyle at X Games Norway today.
Her latest Slopestyle gold is already the second win in the discipline for Sadowski-Synnott, bringing her X Games count to three medals (2 gold, 1 silver). The young Kiwi ripper barged onto the scene by claiming Slopestyle gold and Big Air silver at X Games Aspen 2019 and won every big-ticket event of that season, including the Burton U.S. Open. Recognized as Rookie of the Year in the inaugural Snowboarder Magazine Awards in 2020, Sadowski-Synnott also made history as the first athlete from New Zealand in 26 years to win a Winter Olympics medal when she earned Slopestyle bronze at PyeongChang 2018.
Joining Sadowski-Synnott on the Slopestyle podium today, Kokomo Murase came into X Games Norway not only as the youngest rider at age 15 but also the lightest at a mere 105 pounds. But that didn’t stop the Japanese snowboarding wunderkind from dropping some of the heaviest tricks of the weekend.
Working the course with speed and difficult aerial moves, Murase sent a backside 360 over the rail and hit the rail section with frontside nosebluntslide, pole jam Indy grab, and frontside lipslide 270 out the big rail. In the jump section, the 15-year-old from Gifu, Japan, stoked the crowd with backside 720 mute, frontside double cork 900, frontside 720 stalefish, and a backside 1260 with a slightly imperfect landing for a strong silver-medal finish.
On the strength of today’s silver medal, Murase now owns five X Games medals (1 gold, 3 silver, 1 bronze) across Slopestyle and Big Air disciplines. Murase has been turning heads since her upset victory at X Games Norway 2018, where she made history as the first girl to land a 1260 double cork in a competition and became the youngest competitor ever to earn a medal at Winter X Games at age 13. She has reached the podium in all five of her X Games starts and was recently named Snowboarder of the Year at the 2019 Japan Action Sports Awards.
Next, the action moved into Women’s Ski Slopestyle as the day’s first freeski event. A total of seven different countries were represented in the eight-rider final with athletes hailing from Canada, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland, Sweden, as well as the UK and United States. Much like in the Snowboard Slopestyle final, the judges were looking for best overall impression in a 32-minute jam format.
Stepping into the final fresh off yesterday’s Big Air silver medal, Monster Energy’s Maggie Voisin unleashed a diverse trick selection onto the stacked course. In the rail section, the 21-year-old from White Fish, Montana, posted a gap to disaster, switch left 270 on 270 out, backside 270 left disaster on the down-flat-down, and left 270 on 270 off. Upping her trick difficulty from run to run, she also hit the massive jump elements with a rightside 720 tailgrab, letfside Rodeo 900, switch leftside 900 safety grab, and almost landed a leftside double cork 1260 for the best overall impression and the win.
“Today the weather was really tough and you just kind of had to roll with it. I just tried to stay consistent. Getting a podium yesterday and the win today, I’m just so grateful,” said Voisin upon claiming Women’s Ski Slopestyle gold at X Games Norway 2020 today, adding: “Today is also International Women’s Day, so a big shout out to all the women snowboarders before us. I’m just so stoked to be a female athlete in action sports.”
This weekend’s Slopestyle gold and Big Air silver medals bring Voisin’s X Games medal count to seven total medals (2 gold, 2 silver, 3 bronze). The Montana native now owns two Ski Slopestyle gold after winning the event at X Games Aspen 2018. Voisin made history at XG Norway 2017 as the first American woman to medal in Big Air. After undergoing knee surgery in April 2019, the U.S. freeski prodigy returned to competition in full strength by claiming Slopestyle bronze at XG Aspen 2020 in January.
Monster Energy’s Giulia Tanno came into the final looking for a medal after closely missing the podium in Saturday’s Big Air competition. When all was said and done, the 21-year-old from Lenzerheide, Switzerland, earned the bronze medal with a solid mixture of technical rail tricks and stylish airs. In the rail section, Tanno finessed gap to disaster on the double kink, frontside 450 out, and switch-up 270 on the down rail. And in the jump section, she sent a switch leftside 900 tailgrab, and rightside 900, switch rightside 540, as well as a leftside double cork 1080 for a strong third-place finish.
This weekend’s Slopestyle bronze brings Tanno’s X Games total to four medals (2 silver, 2 bronze). The member of the Swiss national freeski team also had a successful contest run with back-to-back podiums at International Ski Federation (FIS) events. At the recent FIS Freeski Big Air World Cup in Destne, Czech Republic, Tanno took home the 2019/20 Big Air crystal globe trophy as the top rider of the season.
Monster Energy Men’s Snowboard Slopestyle: Max Perrot Takes Gold, Ståle Sandbech Earns Bronze
When the action moved into the Monster Energy Men’s Snowboard Slopestyle event, eight finalists stepped to the challenging course in a 32-minute jam session. Straight out the gate, Monster Energy’s Max Parrot revisited his rivalry with Canada’s Mark McMorris, who took the gold medal in Saturday’s Big Air final with Parrot settling for silver. Now it was time for a rematch!
Undeterred by rainy weather and the fact that his last Slopestyle win happened back in 2014, Parrot left nothing to chance in the competitive final. Hitting the rail section with difficult tech tricks, he posted a frontside bluntslide 450 off, gap backside 360 to 50-50 the kink rail, frontside nosebluntslide over the hip, pole jam Wildcat backflip, and backside lipslide fakie the big rail. Flexing his aerial skills in the jump section, Parrot sent a backside 1260, backside triple cork 1440 melon, Cab double cork 1260, Cab triple 1620 Indy grab, and a perfect frontside triple cork 1440 mute to clinch the win.
“I was definitely focused on a good result today. And I’m actually happy since the last time I won gold in Slopestyle was in 2014, so it’s been a while. It feels good to taste gold again in Slopestyle at X Games!” said Parrot upon earning Men’s Snowboard Slopestyle gold at X Games Norway 2020 today.
After claiming Big Air silver and Slopestyle gold at X Games Norway 2020 this weekend, Parrot now owns 13 medals (8 gold, 5 silver). The 25-year-old from Bromont, Canada, made an emotional return to competition by winning Big Air gold at X Games Norway 2019 after a battle with Hodgkin Lymphoma cancer. The eight-time X Games champion currently holds the record for the most medals in the history of X Games Snowboard Big Air (6 gold, 4 silver) and also earned Slopestyle silver for Canada at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang.
Also stepping onto the Men’s Snowboard Slopestyle podium today, hometown hero Ståle Sandbech from Rykkinn, Norway earned bronze with a versatile trick selection.
Opening the final as the first rider in, Sandbech sent a frontside lipslide over the hip, backside 180 to 50-50, Half Cab 50-50 the kink rail, boardslide up and down the Spider Rail, and front board 270 the big rail. Maintaining his flow into the jump section, the Norwegian local posted backside 1260 mute grab, backside double cork 720, backside Cab 1260 stalefish, frontside 1440 tailgrab, and backside 1440 mute to jump onto the podium with a solid third-place finish.
Today’s Slopestyle bronze is Sandbech’s first X Games medal since XG Norway 2017 and his sixth medal overall (2 silver, 4 bronze). A long-standing member of the Norwegian national snowboarding team, Sandbech earned Slopestyle silver at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. The 26-year-old also recently claimed third place in the Men’s Snowboard Slopestyle final at Winter Dew Tour Copper Mountain 2020 and is known for his viral StaleLIFE video series on YouTube.
