GirlzLuhDev – Leg or Arm

Inland Empire rapper GirlzLuhDev‘s latest sensual single “Leg or Arm” brings a bit of summer warmth to the depths of winter. The track, which is out now on Capitol Records, is built around soft keyboards and West Coast bounce that provide a canvas for Dev’s mischievous and fun vocals. Listen HERE.

The dizzy, intimate production of “Leg or Arm” feels like a dreamy afternoon in the California sun. It’s pure warmth, an escape from the troubles of the world. Dev flows like a breeze, sipping Shirley Temples, messing around with a girl, and playfully wondering if he’ll end up being talked about in her groupchat. When he croons about “riding round with blicky and designer clothes,” it sounds less like a threat than a positive affirmation. Dev places gangsta tropes in new contexts, making every bar feel like a celebration. He’s the fun-loving ball of energy and melody that rap needs, next in a lineage of West Coast rap-singers.

“Leg or Arm” follows a hot streak of memorable singles from Dev, including the pounding “Gas Me Up” and the somber “Dead Bro.” This track kicks off a new year for the 18-year-old rising star as he continues to build on the success that began with 2020’s “Tooka,” which launched him to the national stage and earned him a deal with Capitol. The game needs rappers as charismatic as Dev, and with each passing track, he’s proving that he’s rare indeed. Dev has amassed over 34 million streams in the U.S. alone.

About GirlzLuhDev

GirlzLuhDev is a rapper, singer, ex-basketball star, and quite possibly America’s next great hitmaker. Oh, and he’s a senior in high school. The 18-year-old artist from California’s Inland Empire is a year into making music but has already landed a viral hit, the raunchy but blissed out “Tooka.” Supported by simple beats and rich keys, he parlays his youthful energy into a bright blend of bars, warbled melodies, and ad-libs that sound like smack talk beamed down from a distant planet. Its sun-baked West Coast Street rap meets the wonky charm of a kid with nothing to lose. Signed to Capitol Records, Dev has his sights set on the national spotlight.

It paves the way for her anxiously awaited sophomore EP, 6 Of A Billion, set for release on July 9. Be on the lookout for the music video soon!

Even before the song officially dropped, it had already stirred up widespread buzz online. A TikTok of Claire writing Boy In A Billion raked in over 4 million views. She didn’t stop there though. Welcoming her followers into the creative process, countless fans witnessed the recording of the song on Claire’s social media accounts.

On the track, the bass thumps as her vocals glide over finger-snaps and slick guitar wrapped in warbling synths. She details a priceless love with clever verses and a hummable hook carried by her dynamic vocal delivery.

“Frankenstein” marked Claire’s first collaboration – with M-phases, Chelsea Lena, & artist Lexi Jayde.  Another quirky and catchy bop, cowbell holds down the guitar-laden beat as Claire adds her own 21st-century spin to the song inspired by The Cardigans’ classic 90’s hit “Lovefool.”  She immediately shocks pop back to life with the hook, “Guess, I gotta build my Frankenstein.

Claire continues to receive rave reviews from tastemakers in the media. Billboard says, “Remi Wolf and Benee fans, take note of TikTok breakout Claire Rosinkranz, who will surely be your next favorite.” American Songwriter remarked, “2020 may have been a banner year for Rosinkranz, but it’s a culmination of the work she’s put into her craft.”

ABOUT CLAIRE ROSINKRANZ

Southern California singer, songwriter, ballerina, and multi-instrumentalist Claire Rosinkranz grafts the Gen-Z coming-of-age experience onto quirky D.I.Y. soundscapes often cooked up by her dad in the garage. Within a year, the 17-year-old phenomenon has eclipsed over half a billion total streams and received widespread acclaim courtesy of Rolling Stone, Variety, Coup de Main, Buzzfeed, Genius, and more. Now, she presents an unfiltered perspective on being a teen through her 2021 sophomore EP introduced by the lead single Frankenstein.

Sophie Powers x Lonely Army

Toronto-born artist Sophie Powers has unveiled her brand new music video for her recent single, “Lonely Army” via Set Records. Her first rock-laced single tackles the feeling of widespread loneliness that so many of us experienced during 2020’s seemingly endless lockdown, featuring powerful vocals that seem much more mature than Powers’ mere 16 years old.

“I wanted the video to embody the same raw real energy as the song itself, “Sophie shares on the video. “From the colour grading to the shots of Toronto under lockdown, the video correlates with how I felt when I wrote Lonely Army: Alone but surrounded by so many.”

Check out the music video for “Lonely Army” here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2HlguK5DqQg.

Contemplating this during the height of the pandemic made her “brain explode” and she channeled that revelation into an anthemic power ballad. It’s a song to get you through the long nights that ultimately leads you to the hope of all these lonely people feeling vulnerable together. We’re all linked, as the outro musically conveys. Powers sweetly sings, “We can be together: lonely army” as her multi-tracked vocals accompany her in the background. The moment conjures the power of many voices and demonstrates the force of her authenticity.

Fans can stream “Lonely Army” now https://sophiepowers.lnk.to/LonelyArmy.

At just 16 years old, Sophie Powers is the bold voice of a new generation. She understands the unique pressures of modern girlhood and uses her experience to write unfiltered, devil-may-care anthems about the ups and downs of being yourself. One minute she’s confident and cool, with the sneering attitude of a punk rock front woman, and the next she’s vulnerable and raw, channeling the loneliness of contemporary life in a stirring ballad.

In the midst of quarantine, she decamped to Los Angeles, living away from her parents for the first time in her life with a group of musicians. “In Toronto, I had my parents and friends constantly giving input and telling me what they think about my life. But in L.A. I was left alone with my thoughts. It got quiet.”

In that quiet, she understood her real goal: to express herself honestly. “Music was my outlet during some really dark times,” Powers says. “If I can be that outlet and help other kids navigate what I went through, that’s all I want as an artist.”

Combining the crunchy sound of punk with today’s hip-hop and pop, Sophie Powers is the unfiltered and uncompromising voice of a new generation.

Dreamer Boy x Sweatshirt Video

Today, slowplay / Harvest Records’ Nashville singer/songwriter Dreamer Boy has released his next video for the track “Sweatshirt” off of his recent album All The Ways We Are Together. This tender, emotive video showcases Dreamer Boy (Zach Taylor) on a split screen, one side in color and the other in black and white. Through these contrasting visuals, the viewer experiences two different ways of processing the same set of emotions. Today’s release follows last month’s video for “Best of Me.”

Arriving in April, All The Ways We Are Together is Dreamer Boy’s second full-length album. The record is a hazy, sentimental collection of songs about love and meaningful relationships, and its release date, Earth Day, was carefully chosen. Per Zach Taylor -the artist, who grew up everywhere from Washington to Texas to Alabama, behind the Dreamer Boy name-the set is meant to reflect on the ways we relate to one another, but also the effects we have on the world.

Around the Earth Day release of All The Ways We Are Together, Dreamer Boy created a microsite where fans could stream the album and contribute directly to planting trees. Through a partnership with One Tree Planted, 1,500 trees have been planted from this initiative.

Additionally, Zach hosted community Zooms with fans to discuss ways to give back and engage in a day of action on Earth Day. Zach and his friends participated in a local Nashville trash clean up, and by using the hashtag #allthewayswearetogether, fans could share their own community actions from all around the world. This follows sending seeds out with early merch orders to encourage fans to plant marigolds and watch them grow toward the album release.

The overarching theme behind all of these ideas was to use the album as a launching off point for people to connect directly with the planet and their own communities, both central themes in the underlying concept of All the Ways We Are Together.

“The songs are about the love we have for ourselves, the love we have for our friends, and the love we can show the environment around us,” Taylor explains.

All The Ways We Are Together follows a busy string of sunny singles released over the last year, including “Know You,” “Crybaby,” and “Don’t Be a Fool,” each of which appears on the record. These new tracks, as well as a string of late 2019 tour dates with Clairo, were warmly received by critics and fans alike, garnering praise from outlets like FADER (2021 artist to watch), Flaunt, and Clash, the latter of which said “Easier Said Than Done” pushed pop to “a sophisticated new realm.” Taylor was also recently featured in DORK Magazine who wrote that All The Ways We Are Together “embraces love in its most natural, authentic form.” Additionally, Taylor recently became one of the new faces of Tommy Jeans for Men.

Kidd G x Break Up Song

Amassing over 100 million streams and drawing praise from Billboard and more, fast-rising Country star Kidd G shares a new break up anthem entitled “Break Up Song,” out today via Rebel Music / Geffen Records. Written by Kidd G, Rhett Akins, and JT Harding, the new song is available now at all digital retailers along with its accompany music video, which seamlessly brings to life the experience of moving on after a relationship ends.

On the track, the buzzing singer and songwriter waves goodbye to an ex with clever and catchy barbs and an unshakable guitar riff. He toasts on the chantable chorus“Cheers to a breakup song, Forever 21, I’ll party all night long, before admitting, “The worst part is I even had to make this song!”

Earlier this month, Kidd G dropped the yearning “Last Call,” which has already gathered half-a-million total streams and north of 567K YouTube views on the music video. It notably marked his first release under the alliance of Rebel Music / Geffen Records and Big Machine Label Group’s The Valory Music Co., which was announced exclusively via Billboard.

Be on the lookout for more music very soon from Kidd G.

Along with officially surpassing 100K subscribers on YouTube last month, he recently enlisted longtime country music heavyweight Colt Ford to assist with a remix to his viral hit song “Down The Road”. Both achievements arrive on the heels of Kidd G’s full-length project, Teenage Dream: 1000 Miles from Georgia, the deluxe version of his debut EP, Teenage Dream, a six-track project which features a collision of potent beats and gritty yet melodic guitar work working together on the 18-year-old’s first solid body of work. Throughout the EP, that sound creates a powerful backdrop to the slice-of-life songwriting many fans first discovered on “Dirt Road” — the October 2020 release that quickly landed on the Billboard Hot Country Songs and amassed 5 million YouTube views in little over a month on the official music video (16M views to date). The Georgia-bred singer/songwriter recently caught the attention of CMT, who hailed his music as “earwarming and undeniable”, and THE NEW YORK TIMES, who exclusively profiled him earlier this year online and in print.

CMTEN - MUSIC BOX EP via Warner Records for use by 360 Magazine

CMTEN – MUSIC BOX

Bubbling up with a distinct and diverse sense of sonic alchemy, 19-year-old CMTEN unveils his anxiously awaited debut EP, MUSIC BOX, available today on Masked Records/Warner Records and features the track “angel (so bad),” which premiered earlier this week on Apple Music. Click HERE to stream MUSIC BOX EP.

This nine-song project ebbs and flows between manic electronic transmissions, warm piano, and simultaneously shuddering and soothing vocalizations moving in sync at full throttle towards 21st century pop oblivion. There are wide variations with each song in terms of content, style, and even genre. You get Nintendo-inspired songs and you also get punk. “angel (so bad)” pairs heavenly keys and warbling vocal delivery as he details romantic follies. Then, there’s “sorry I don’t get what you’re saying” where gorgeous piano underscores ponderous lyrics. Everything culminates on “walking to a place I’ve never been.” Acoustic guitar wraps around thumping bass as he cleverly decries, “Open up the spreadsheet, tally all my mistakes,” before one last hypnotic hook.

CMTEN explains: “Although MUSIC BOX is technically an EP, I see it more as a random collection of cool-ass music. The project consists of several songs that vary drastically in style, coming together to showcase every little thing that makes the creation of music so fulfilling to me. Whether a track is something emotional, experimental, or just straight-up fun, each has a special place in my heart. I’m constantly experimenting with different sounds, styles, and influences, so it only makes sense that my debut body of work reflects that. So, when it comes down to it, MUSIC BOX is all about the magic of making music just for the hell of it. I love these songs, and I hope you will, too.”

After racking up nearly 60 million total streams thus far and averaging 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify, CMTEN set the stage for the EP with a series of fan favorites, including the title track “MUSIC BOX,” “BORED” and “ALONE” feat. RILEY THE MUSICIAN. Of the latter, Lyrical Lemonade raved, “These two use all the passionate and learned energy in their bodies to craft together a brief, yet impactful experience that not only proves these previously-mentioned ideas, but at the same time, an experience that stands out as a simply blissful pop offering by itself.” He also caps off the EP with his 2020 breakthrough single  “Never Met!” feat. Glitch Gum.

In the seventies, eighties, or nineties, this story might’ve started in a garage with a guitar…However, the genre-smashing artist, songwriter, producer/mixer, vocalist, and San Francisco Bay area native unassumingly turned his University of Utah dorm room into ground zero for Glitchcore in early 2020. Translating a passion for old school pop punk and the likes of 100 gecs, Porter Robinson and Soundcloud Rap into a sound of his own, he uploaded “NEVER MET!” and organically attracted a groundswell of support to the tune of 30 million total streams, 1 million-plus TikTok videos, and more.

Labrinth Performs Songs From ‘Euphoria’

For the first time since his Emmy nominations, Labrinth performed songs from the score and soundtrack of the hit HBO series “Euphoria.”

Presented by HBO themselves, fans of the show were treated to “forever,” “still don’t know my name,” “when I r.i.p.” and “all for us.”

Including Labrinth’s for Outstanding Music Composition for a Series and Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics, “Euphoria” racked up six nominations. In her most adult-friendly role to date, Zendaya picked up a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, and we can probably all guess which scene we’ll see when her name is announced as a nominee.

This video is proof that “Euphoria” isn’t leaving gorgeous colors and cinematography behind after the first season. It comes complete with everything but Labrinth wearing “Euphoria” makeup. Rich blues, purples and pinks set us up to be completely lost in the performance the way we were lost in the show.

HBO renewed “Euphoria” for a second season before the first season even ended, but because of production delays, we don’t have a release date yet.

Lovers of the show can still tune in to the 72nd Primetime Emmys on Sept. 20 to cheer for Zendaya, Labrinth and all of the other talented artists and creators responsible for “Euphoria.”

To see the entire performance, you can click right here. You can find “Euphoria” streaming now on HBO Max, and you can listen to the score right here.
