How Erling Haaland boosts Manchester City’s potential success

As one of the best squads in the world, Manchester City is always known for its strength in its lineup. Manager Pep Guardiola is always blessed with the best talent possible and that has happened again with the signing of a Norwegian superstar striker, Erling Haaland.

With years of experience playing for Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga, Haaland has proven that he is one of the most promising goal-scorers in the world. He was an amazing star player during his time at Dortmund and before he even played for the Yellow Wall, he was the star for RB Salzburg in Austria.

At only 21 years of age, Haaland has the potential to become the best player in the world in the long term future. Now that he is at Man City, he has the biggest platform possible to become one of the world’s best players. He was already on his way to that level during his time with Dortmund but City’s team will help him cement a championship pedigree.

If you are going to any website for football crypto betting, you should expect that Man City will come in as a favourite for almost any match. They have proven that with the talent that they have, they can win trophies. While the Champions League has continued to elude them, City is primed to become one of the legendary clubs that have won Europe’s top club competition.

Haaland will become the club’s top goal-scorer

Man City has been thriving with their goal-scoring even without a true number nine. They have run a system with a free-flowing offence where anyone can score as long as they are in the right position. This will not happen anymore with Haaland in the lineup because they finally have a cornerstone who is well known for scoring countless goals.

With Kevin De Bruyne serving as the team’s playmaker, you can expect that he will have a field day having a striker of Haaland’s quality play with him. KDB himself talked about how much he appreciates having a striker like Haaland on his team moving forward.

The Belgian midfielder said, ‘Erling Haaland is a top striker. His move should help us to grow as a team. Everybody expects a lot. They’ve always been looking for a number nine, but I think it’ll be good to have that striker that maybe scores 20-25 goals a season’.

Haaland fits in with Pep’s system

Pep Guardiola is one of the best managers of all time. That kind of title is not given to anyone just for the sake of it because Pep has done a stellar job of creating systems that best fit his teams. This was prominent during his time with Barcelona when he was the mind behind their signature ‘tiki-taka’ style with Lionel Messi as the focal point of the offence.

Now at City, Pep has done a good job of building a system despite the lack of a true striker over the past two seasons. With Haaland coming in, Pep will most likely revamp his system because he has to accommodate and maximise Haaland. The combo of this coach and player will instil fear into defenders because Pep has special plays in his backpocket for Haaland.

Man City has its Agüero replacement

When Sergio Agüero left for Barcelona in 2021, Man City lost their best-ever player and striker. That was a large void that was not filled by any player until now. With Haaland’s arrival, Man City has one of the best replacements that you can ever get for a club legend. He is primed to become the best striker in the world in the long term future. He will surely bring trophies back to Manchester given that he’s such a phenomenal player in terms of talent and an imposing physique.

Expect Man City to keep winning

Haaland already has a case to be called one of the best players in the world and with further training under Pep and stars like KDB, Haaland will only improve. If you are on any website for football crypto betting, never forget that City has a top striker who can change the complexion of any match. It is a tough time to be a defender, especially if they’re playing against Man City.

ERIC CANTONA LAUNCHES LOOKING FC

Former captain of Manchester United Eric Cantona announced the launch of his very own travel brand in collaboration with DHARMA, the travel organization that has released travel brands such as Equinox and Culture Trip.

Cantona commented on the inspiration for the travel brand, stating, “Our idea was to create the most passionate football trips on earth, with charisma and soul. Everything today is optimized for price – we wanted to optimize for passion.”

Looking FC, named after the Looking For documentary series produced by Cantona and his brothers (Canto Bros Productions), includes 4-day trips produced by Cantona himself. Guests are taken along an exclusive experience traveling global football cities through the point-of-view of the world’s leading clubs and their devoted fans. Each trip concludes with a Game Day experience seated in the passion sections of stadiums showcased for big League and Champions League competitions. If the Game Day experience wasn’t enough, trips also consist of immersive experiences like fan chant workshops, sports-themed graffiti tours and method briefings with journalists.

The nine trips included this season consist of Manchester (United), Buenos Aires (Boca), Liverpool (Liverpool), Milan (Inter), Madrid (Real Madrid), Barcelona (Barca), Paris (PSG), Lisbon (Sporting), and Casablanca (Raja), with thrilling events planned including Liverpool v Manchester United at Anfield, a Real Madrid v FC Barcelona El Clásico at Bernabeu, and a PSG v Marseille Le Classique at the Parc des Princes. Scheduling is intended for groups but is available to be booked privately to enjoy with your friends and families.

Pricing starts at 1,290 Euros per person based on double occupancy. Included in each ticket is all accommodations, experience, most meals, guides and game tickets.

Looking FC showcases the use of a people, plant and profit approach; in the first-of-its-kind partnership with Common Goal, Looking FC will donate 1% of its returns to fund the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals Initiative. The trips are designed with intention to strengthen local businesses, and each trip is carbon offset through Thrust Carbon.

Amber Mark – Softly

Today New York based singer, songwriter and producer Amber Mark releases a brand new single ‘Softly’ via PMR/Interscope Records. Sampling Craig David’s ‘Rendezvous’, the new single is the fifth preview of her long-awaited debut album ‘Three Dimensions Deep’. Due for release on January 28th, the album will be followed by huge UK, EU and US spring tours including a night at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in March.

Amber’s debut album arrives almost 4 years after the release of her second EP ‘Conexão’, an extended process that has proved central to its thematic development. The 17 track album can be divided into three main acts that follow the arc of Amber’s personal and musical development; WITHOUT, WITHHELD and WITHIN. Beginning by acknowledging her insecurities and anxieties before reflecting on her time in denial and spent processing them in all the wrong ways, Amber eventually widens her focus by seeking answers to the world’s negativity and trauma on a cosmic scale. Finding peace and a form of inherent spirituality in the world of astrophysics while writing the album led to a fresh perspective on life and a renewed sense of self. Amber’s debut album is simultaneously a profound concept album and a love letter to herself, richly intertwining messages of self-worth and reflections on the universe beneath a veneer of shimmering pop. In true Amber Mark style, ‘Three Dimensions Deep’ is a kaleidoscopic melting pot of influences and genres, drawing from funk and R&B, soul and hip-hop with international accents influenced by a nomadic childhood spent travelling the world with her late mother. View a trailer for the album HERE.

“Three Dimensions Deep is a musical journey of what questions you begin to ask yourself when you start looking to the universe for answers.” says Amber; “I can only go as deep as the third dimension as that’s how we see the world, but what about when you start looking to the universe within for answers.”

The three official singles previously released from the album ‘Worth It’, ‘Competition’ and ‘Foreign Things’ marked Amber’s first official singles since 2020’s ‘Generous’, though 2020 was still a hugely productive year for Amber. With her hometown of NYC hit hard in the first wave of the pandemic and placed under strict lockdown, Amber turned to her simple home studio to create an acclaimed series of home-produced covers and originals titled ‘Covered-19’, each accompanied by a homemade video and artworks. The series was followed by a collaboration with longtime friend Empress Of on the protest song ‘You’ve Got To Feel’, earning Annie Mac’s Hottest Record, ‘Tune Of The Week’ and a spot on the Radio 1 playlist. Earlier this year Amber was featured on legendary DJ Paul Woolford’s new piano-house track ‘HEAT’, again snagging Annie Mac’s Hottest Record and a long run across the Radio 1 and 2 playlists. Having already amassed over 300 million streams since the release of her breakout debut EP 3:33AM in 2017, Amber has built a global fanbase eager to hear her debut full length – pre-save it HERE.

Joy Crookes × New York Times

Joy Crookes — who is already garnering Amy Winehouse and Lauryn Hill comparisons from her own songs—began her musical journey years before her magpie-like introduction to brass. The daughter of a Bengali mother and an Irish father, she grew up listening to an eclectic mix of genres. Every week, while driving her to Irish dancing lessons, they would listen to a different album. Kendrick Lamar’s ‘To Pimp a Butterfly’ one week ‘Soon Forward’ by Gregory Isaac the next. As a curious, passionate, and music-obsessed 12-year-old, Joy decided to start writing her own song and honing her modern soul sound. Her first song “Seaside” was penned after falling head over heels for a boy by the beach. Seven years later, her songs might have grown more sophisticated, but the approach remains the same: whether she’s dealing with heartbreak or trying to come to terms with the latest Trump headline, Joy is committed to translating her most honest and vulnerable feelings to music. While her candid song-writing and fearless attitude have won her dedicated grassroots following, it was a baby-faced Joy singing a cover of Hit the Road Jack, which caught the attention of 600,000 viewers, and her first management company. Now she has a feature in the New York Times.

“Listening to Crookes’s soulful, intimate music can feel like intruding on a private conversation or cracking open a diary” – The New York Times”

“In her music, Crookes offers listeners a nuanced and candid exploration of her multiracial identity. At a time when many conversations about race in the arts and calls for change have only recently begun, Crookes’s commitment to vulnerability in her storytelling has helped her connect with a growing — and loyal — fan base.” – The New York Times

Just For The Times is a rich embodiment of EYK’s sonic diversity and delves into the pairs’ journey over the last 18-24 months. The project provides a soundtrack to the highs, the lows, the nostalgia, and the pent-up energy over lockdown, skewered in pin-sharp rhymes, layered over precision tooled bedroom beats. Listeners are treated to a dynamic body of work from the mutli-faceted duo which includes 8 new tracks alongside fan favorites such as “Radio”, “Just For The Times,” “When The Sun Comes Up,” “Higher,” and “Charlie.”

Speaking about the release EYK say, “Just for the Times is not just an “EP” but it’s a representation of the lives we and our loved ones have all lived throughout the past 2 years. It’s a project where we’ve really delved deep, thought about carefully and made as honest as possible. We wanted this project to represent our fans too, something everyone can relate to and connect with. It’s ten tracks of emotions that vary from high to low, hope to hopelessness and joy to sadness. It’s a project we’re really proud of and can’t wait for you all to hear. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it.”

The band recently announced they will embark on a 13 date UK headline tour. The self-produced quartet have honed their craft of delicate pop tapestries by way of emailed home recordings, resulting in records such as 2020’s acclaimed Truth or Consequences, lauded by FADER as “shimmering nostalgia-pop.”

However, on the fearless new single “Give It Hell,” singer Christie Simpson issues a call of resistance amongst the chaos of our modern age. The song, which was recorded over remote sessions undertaken throughout 2020, showcases an expanded sonic palette of live drums, grand pianos, orchestral strings, and woodwinds revealing a cacophonous glimpse of the band’s fourth and most formidable album yet, out early 2022.

Michael J.Browne’s Art for Auction

Kicking off Dreweatts’ Modern & Contemporary Art auction is Michael J. Browne’s homage to Manchester United painted in 2013. The work shows iconic players such as Ryan Giggs, Eric CantonaDavid Beckham, Paul Scholes, and Wayne Rooney alongside managers Matt Busby and Alex Ferguson in procession. The central figure, Nemanja Vidić, holds a golden ball as the players walk against a backdrop of triumphant iconography drawing on symbols of strength from the Roman Empire including the Colosseum, a triumphant arch, and the Latin word ‘Legio’meaning ‘chosen body or legion’ reigning high above the players, together with ‘X 20 X’ referring to the number of leagues won by United. To the right of the scene is Manchester United’s stadium and across the painting held high on crosses are large silver trophies with gold crowns signifying their success and achievements.

Michael J. Browne was born in Moss Side, Manchester. Growing up in a difficult household Browne found escapism in art from a very young age. He was inspired by anything that he saw around him and turned his creativity into something positive focusing on drawing. At a young age, Browne went to live with his art teacher and went on to study at Chelsea School of Art followed by an MA at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Browne has always been particularly fascinated with the Renaissance masters and has become renowned for depicting well-known figures encompassing topics of cultural importance, history, or religion. Browne shot to fame in 2001 with his work The Art of the Game depicting Eric Catona as Jesus. The work was displayed at the National Portrait Museum. Before this his copy of the Sistine Chapel painted in the Cocotoo restaurant in Manchester caused great publicity between 1992-1994. Other important figures he has illustrated include Wayne Rooney, Donald Trump, and Jeremy Corbyn.

The work is estimated to fetch £10,000-15,000 in Dreweatts’ Modern & Contemporary auction on 12th October 2021.
