Yayo Da Cartune – Make It Rain

Yayo Da Cartune releases a one-of-a-kind virtual reality music video for “Make it Rain”. The video is an immersive 360 experience, meaning if a viewer watches with virtual reality goggles, they can view the video as if they were physically interacting inside of the world. Instead of being an outside listener to the melodic yet pulsating track, fans can experience from within, bringing a whole new meaning to interactive listening. Watch the video HERE.

“Make it Rain” by Yayo Da Cartune (Cinematic Music Group/Geffen) is available at all digital retailers HERE.

Yayo‘s songs together tell a distinct story of loss, loyalty, pain and turmoil; all aspects of the grave conditions he grew up in. His soundtrack for the struggle lays bare his emotions and exposes a side of him he previously kept to himself. Raised as one of six children, Yayo’s been surrounded by music since he was a kid. Growing up, he and his siblings would use blank cassette tapes to record Lil Wayne tracks from the radio, and his young single mother would play songs from artists like Dru Hill, Ginuwine, Tyrese, and Usher.

By the age of 13, he’d been arrested, beginning a streak of jail stints that would stretch for over a decade. While time behind bars kept him away from friends and family, it brought him closer to music. Shy by nature, he entered jail singing competitions to help pull him out of his shell. After being released in 2016, Yayo dove in, using his skill as a tattoo artist to provide a source of income and keep him out of trouble. At first, Yayo released raucous, free-associative freestyles, but as he listened to Drake, Future and T-Pain, his sound evolved into something more melodic and emotionally charged. After years of releasing music and working as a well-respected tattoo artist, he started picking up momentum toward the end of 2020, releasing songs like “Live to Die” and previewing other tracks on Instagram. Months and hundreds of thousands of IG post views later, he secured a deal with Jonny Shipes and Cinematic Music Group.

Tay Money – The Assignment

Tay Money flexes on a fiery new track entitled “The Assignment”. Fueled by a skittering bounce, Tay eases into her confident and charismatic bars with an announcement, “I understood the assignment”. Ahead of its release, the track has already made its rounds on TikTok with over 280K videos and climbing.

“The Assignment” is available now at all digital retailers. Listen HERE.

Tay Money upholds her red-hot streak this summer. In July, she made her U.S. major festival debut with a standout set at Rolling Loud Miami, bringing the crowd to its feet. “The Assignment” arrives on the heels of a string of summer anthems including tracks “Shake” and “Asthma Pump” which both feature the unfiltered lyrics and attitude that have made the Dallas artist one to watch. Having been featured on the digital cover of ELEVATOR, and hailed by FLAUNT as “one of the hardest female rappers of our generation,” Tay’s in the midst of a hot streak that stretches back to the release of Blockedt. She made that EP with heavyweights like Derrick Milano (a co-writer on Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hot Girl Summer”) and Bankroll Got It (producers of hits like “DO DAT” by Stunna 4 Vegas featuring DaBaby & Lil Baby)—collaborations that fed into the boundary-pushing energy of her tracks since. “Shake” showcases an exciting new side of Tay’s style, highlighting her ability to craft emotionally stirring songs while still sticking to her favorite topic―flaunting her assets.

About Tay Money

In just over two years, Tay Money, the Athens-born, Dallas-based rapper has racked up millions of views and streams thanks to her witty punchlines and unique musical approach. Her debut song, “Na Na” marked the beginning of her career as an artist and set the tone for the originality that she would bring to the rest of her records to come. Within months of her first release, she was selling out shows in Dallas and had gained a cult-like following among her listeners (now dubbed Tay Army).

With her bouncy trap beats, unmistakable Texas twang, and unapologetically catchy rhymes, Tay began to reach commercial success with her breakout song “Trapper’s Delight” in 2018. With what was originally a risky move to expand her music outside the limits of her hometown of Dallas, the video for “Trapper’s Delight” amassed over 1.1 million views in under two months. Since then, she’s continued to release many more viral hits including “Bussin” (11 million YouTube views), “Bussin 2.0” with Saweetie (7 million YouTube views), and “Brat” featuring Mulatto, two of which are on her recently released EP, Blockedt. The widely acclaimed project led to many defining moments for Tay, landing spots on coveted playlists including Spotify’s New Music Friday, Feelin Myself, and Release Radar as well as Apple Music’s The Plug and New In Hip Hop. The project also received praise from FLAUNT who hailed her as “one of the biggest women rappers in Texas”, SPIN who noted that she was “one of the biggest women rappers in Texas”, and ELEVATOR who named her their February cover star. Now, with the cosigns of some of the biggest up-and-coming female rappers, and having surpassed the milestone of over 100 million U.S. streams, Tay plans to build on her momentum with her forthcoming EP.

24LeftEye – Life of a Henxhman Two

Rising Atlanta rap star 24Lefteye returns with Life of a Henxhman 2, a project that radiates his unaffected, yet inescapable cool. A sequel to 2020’s Life of a Henxhman, the new release includes features from fellow Atlanta standout Benji Blue Bills and more, and it’s laced with colorful production from AR, Falsecut, and 808 Spinz, among others. The project also arrives with a video for the melancholic “Addict.” Watch it HERE

Life of a Henxhman 2 is available at all digital retailers HERE.

Clocking in at 16 songs, Life of a Henxhman 2 is an epic release, full of menacing lyrics and hooks that beg to be repeated. On the Benji Blue Bills-assisted “Let’s Go,” 24Lefteye floats over energetic piano lines as he lets loose quotable wordplay and casual boasts. For “New Opp Pack,” he spits bullet-riddled bars over blown-out bass and frenetic hi-hats. Meanwhile, on “Indict Us” he serves up a half-sung hook that adds kaleidoscopic melody to a project that’s already shown he can do just about everything else.

24Lefteye is also sharing a video for the ghostly anthem “Addict.” It’s a low-key clip that features him and some friends hanging around outside of a tennis court, slowly rapping along to the gloomy beat. It’s another intimate look at his casual charisma.

24Lefteye’s latest project reaffirms his status as one of Atlanta’s brightest young talents. On his February project Money on Head Vol. 1, he chronicled his life in the streets of East Atlanta, demonstrating a knack for careful observation and vivid songwriting. While he’s new to the game, his musical intuition and natural proclivity for dynamic songwriting have helped him develop an expansive group of loyal fans. Already backed by tastemaking websites like Lyrical Lemonade and Dirty Glove Bastard, 24Lefteye is just beginning to actualize his powers as an emerging hitmaker. With Life of a Henxhman 2 and months of momentum at his back, 24Lefteye is poised to continue leveling up throughout the rest of 2021 and beyond.

Abby Jasmine – SOS

Abby Jasmine delivered her first music of 2021 with the emotional and reflective “SOS.” The song shows the Staten Island native delving deeper into singing and songwriting with a hazy, harmonic track. The single follows up late 2020’s deluxe edition of Who Cares, Jasmine’s expanded nine-track EP, which featured Guapdad4000, Kash Juliano, and Smoke DZA. Listen to “SOS” by Abby Jasmine HERE

“When I wrote the song, I had this visual of me drowning,” Abby shares. She says she applied the sinking effect to drowning in feelings, addictions, and relationships. This idea inspired a dreamy song that sounds like its title. “I know I got something to say with you; I get tired of saving you,” Abby sings while checking a romantic partner on their behavior. The melody and harmony in the chorus reflect Jasmine’s heavy listening diet of early 2000s R&B.

About Abby Jasmine

Recording since she was a toddler, Abby Jasmine belongs to a musical family, with a Jazz musician for a father. By her teens, the Staten Island native flexed her music and her strong personality online. She reached millions through Vine, showing aspects of her life intermixed with singing and freestyles. Social media became a launchpad to a music career. In the late 2010s, she released Trap Mom and follow-up EPs: Abbnormal and I Hate You All. Songs like “No Hook” and “Relax” presented a woman with a slick pen, dreamy vocals, and a Big Apple attitude. Both achieved nearly seven figures in streams. Jonny shipes’ Cinematic Music Group signed Abby. By 2020’s sophomore LP Who Cares? Geffen joined in, drawn by the artist who continued to show range.

Now 23, Abby continues to focus on her craft and be a student of life. “I’ve just been taking time out to self-reflect, spend more time with people that matter to me,” the artist says. After prioritizing herself, Abby Jasmine’s time for reflection eventually returned her to the studio, where Jasmine self-recorded personal and bold music, beginning with “SOS.” Now, with her EP I Hate You 2 on the way and with three major US festivals in her future, the buzzing genre purveyor only continues to prove that she’s someone to pay attention to in 2021.

Hotboii – Oath

Rising Florida rapper Hotboii returns today with another white-hot single, “Oath.” The anthemic track comes on the heels of Hotboii’s thrilling Rolling Loud set, and continues an accomplished year for the Orlando MC. The buzzing young artist has also just surpassed over 450M total streams in yet another career-defining moment.

“Oath” is available now at all digital retailers HERE. Over chest-rattling drums and soaring synth-strings, Hotboii showcases one-of-a-kind bars blessed by buoyant melody. It’s brief, yet triumphant—a two-minute burst of dopamine and bass. At the song’s peak, he sings, “I never get tired of winning,” which based on his recent run of hits sounds like one of the truest lines rapped this year. Most MCs would take a victory lap after going bar-for-bar with FUTURE, as Hotboii did on his last single, “Nobody Special,” but with “Oath,” it’s clear that he isn’t planning on taking his foot off the gas any time soon.

“Oath” continues an undeniable run for Hotboii. These recent singles follow his stunning 2020 releases, which announced his arrival among rap’s elite. After sharing two beloved projects (Kut da Fan On and Double O Baby) last year, Hotboii released the standout “Fuck Shit” in February. Along the way, the MC has racked up praise from tastemaking outlets like Complex, who wrote, “Hotboii can do it all.” In July, he played a standout set at Rolling Loud Miami, a celebratory slot at one of his home state’s most beloved festivals. It was another bright spot in a year that’s shaping up to be even more memorable than the last.

About Hotboii

At just 15 years of age, Hotboii discovered his natural musical talent and began to craft his own verses as an emotional outlet. Hailing from West Orlando, Hotboii is one of the most exciting new rappers to emerge from his hometown’s scene and is poised to take the rest of the world by storm. In early 2020, the cultural hitmaker released his full-length debut project Kut Da Fan On, a powerhouse 17-track album that accumulated millions of streams within the first month of its release.

In December, he released his sophomore effort, Double O Baby which immediately received widespread acclaim from the likes of PITCHFORK, XXL, COMPLEX, and more for the versatility his music. Standout track from the project “Left Lonely” landed him on coveted playlists including Spotify’s “Release Radar” and Apple Music’s “Hip Hop Hits”. With cosigns of major hip hop heavyweights for the vulnerability he expresses throughout his music, Hotboii has officially earned his place as “Florida’s Next Up” as dubbed by COMPLEX. Now at over 240M overall streams and over 130M video views on YouTube, his ascent continues at an exponential rate. Driven by an overwhelming urge to establish himself as a lasting industry heavyweight, Hotboii continues to prove himself as one of the top artists to watch in 2021 and beyond. Now, having recently surpassed over 450M total streams, and with plenty more music to come, Hotboii is cementing himself both as a Sunshine State treasure and a young rapper deserving of a global spotlight.

Tay Money Releases New Single Shake

Dallas MC Tay Money is back today with an energetic new single, “Shake,” continuing a red-hot run for the D-Town darling. Over an infectious, colorful instrumental, Tay spits about some of her favorite hobbies: laughing at her haters and shaking the goods she was given.
“Shake” is available now at all digital retailers. Listen HERE.
This new single finds Tay leaning into a more hypnotic sound, trading in rim-rattling bass for clubby drum rhythms and synth stabs. She stretches out and expresses herself via dizzy bars that feel electric and off-the-cuff. Of course, she’s still quintessentially Tay Money, as she spits a lyric that might as well be the basis of her entire philosophy: “Don’t compare me to nobody ‘cuz bitch I’m one of one.” This new track is further proof that there’s nobody else quite like her.
“Shake” continues a thrilling run for Tay, who dropped summer anthem “Walk” earlier this month. That followed a string of hits, including the hard-hitting “PB&J” and the Flo Milli-assisted “Asthma Pump.” That latter track has been buzzing on TikTok for a while, catching the attention of artists and influencers including Lizzo and Sienna Mae. Tay also released her acclaimed Blockedt set at the end of 2020, and the smash “Work Witcha” back in March.
These latest hits feature the unfiltered lyrics and attitude that have made the Dallas artist one to watch. Having been featured on the digital cover of ELEVATOR, and hailed by FLAUNT as “one of the hardest female rappers of our generation,” Tay’s in the midst of a hot streak that stretches back to the release of Blockedt. She made that EP with heavyweights like Derrick Milano (a co-writer on Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hot Girl Summer”) and Bankroll Got It (producers of hits like “DO DAT” by Stunna 4 Vegas featuring DaBaby & Lil Baby) — collaborations that fed into the boundary-pushing energy of her tracks since. “Shake” showcases an exciting new side of Tay’s style, highlighting her ability to craft emotionally stirring songs while still sticking to her favorite topics―shaking her assets and making more money than her haters.

Two years after its initial release, the song’s streams continue to reach new peaks daily and have increased nearly sevenfold year over year globally. Born Jacob Sullenger, JAWNY grew up outside Oakland, CA and started playing guitar when he was just six-years-old. At age 13 he began making beats with his brother, eventually landing placements with several rappers in the SoundCloud scene of the late-aughts. By 2017 he’d gained a cult-like following thanks in part to a series of viral videos posted on Twitter and earned further buzz in 2018 with a self-titled debut EP made under the name Johnny Utah. Arriving in October 2020, JAWNY’s major-label debut For Abby drew praise from leading outlets like NME who praised the set as one of lockdown’s most innovative and colourful bedroom pop projects.
