Tay Money – The Assignment

Tay Money flexes on a fiery new track entitled “The Assignment”. Fueled by a skittering bounce, Tay eases into her confident and charismatic bars with an announcement, “I understood the assignment”. Ahead of its release, the track has already made its rounds on TikTok with over 280K videos and climbing.

“The Assignment” is available now at all digital retailers. Listen HERE.

Tay Money upholds her red-hot streak this summer. In July, she made her U.S. major festival debut with a standout set at Rolling Loud Miami, bringing the crowd to its feet. “The Assignment” arrives on the heels of a string of summer anthems including tracks “Shake” and “Asthma Pump” which both feature the unfiltered lyrics and attitude that have made the Dallas artist one to watch. Having been featured on the digital cover of ELEVATOR, and hailed by FLAUNT as “one of the hardest female rappers of our generation,” Tay’s in the midst of a hot streak that stretches back to the release of Blockedt. She made that EP with heavyweights like Derrick Milano (a co-writer on Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hot Girl Summer”) and Bankroll Got It (producers of hits like “DO DAT” by Stunna 4 Vegas featuring DaBaby & Lil Baby)—collaborations that fed into the boundary-pushing energy of her tracks since. “Shake” showcases an exciting new side of Tay’s style, highlighting her ability to craft emotionally stirring songs while still sticking to her favorite topic―flaunting her assets.

About Tay Money

In just over two years, Tay Money, the Athens-born, Dallas-based rapper has racked up millions of views and streams thanks to her witty punchlines and unique musical approach. Her debut song, “Na Na” marked the beginning of her career as an artist and set the tone for the originality that she would bring to the rest of her records to come. Within months of her first release, she was selling out shows in Dallas and had gained a cult-like following among her listeners (now dubbed Tay Army).

With her bouncy trap beats, unmistakable Texas twang, and unapologetically catchy rhymes, Tay began to reach commercial success with her breakout song “Trapper’s Delight” in 2018. With what was originally a risky move to expand her music outside the limits of her hometown of Dallas, the video for “Trapper’s Delight” amassed over 1.1 million views in under two months. Since then, she’s continued to release many more viral hits including “Bussin” (11 million YouTube views), “Bussin 2.0” with Saweetie (7 million YouTube views), and “Brat” featuring Mulatto, two of which are on her recently released EP, Blockedt. The widely acclaimed project led to many defining moments for Tay, landing spots on coveted playlists including Spotify’s New Music Friday, Feelin Myself, and Release Radar as well as Apple Music’s The Plug and New In Hip Hop. The project also received praise from FLAUNT who hailed her as “one of the biggest women rappers in Texas”, SPIN who noted that she was “one of the biggest women rappers in Texas”, and ELEVATOR who named her their February cover star. Now, with the cosigns of some of the biggest up-and-coming female rappers, and having surpassed the milestone of over 100 million U.S. streams, Tay plans to build on her momentum with her forthcoming EP.

Tokischa × Rosalia – Linda

Tokischa and Rosalia’s new hit single “Linda,” has been trending, with the music video becoming #1 in the world. Here’s what people are writing.

Mitu said, “Tokischa & Rosalía’s Worlds Collide in a flirty and fierce club banger. “A hard-hitting [but] vibrant and bouncy new single… dropped [with] a stylish music video filmed in the Dominican Republic” wrote Complex. “To no one’s surprise, it’s an absolute bop from start to finish that showcases the talent of both women while delivering something fresh and an equally noteworthy sound” raved Remezcla. Consequence stated, “The Spanish superstar and polarizing Dominican up-and-comer… deliver a snappy, sexy number…  and steamy music video…that’s as uncompromising as the musicians themselves.”

“Rosalía and Tokischa vindicate ‘uncomfortable’ feminism in their new song, Linda,”  El Mundo stated.

Many more publications have been speaking very highly of this dance banger. You can find the song HERE and watch the music video HERE

About Tokischa

Tokischa is a rising talent who deconstructs the perceptions and norms surrounding women’s roles. Her style is raw, authentic trap that few artists dare to pursue. In her world, there is no fear of showing society what she does, what she likes and who she is. She promotes a way of life that’s free from hypocrisy and gender stereotypes. Her vocal tone is instantly identifiable and is another major factor in making her songs distinctive.

About Rosalia

Rosalia is a Grammy & Eight-Time Latin Grammy Winner who has quickly “leapt to the forefront of the global pop landscape” on the strength of her innovative musical fusions and distinctive style.  She has repeatedly shattered barriers for both female and Spanish language artists, while being widely hailed as: “a complicated geniusreflecting femininity and strength… a new generation leader… making Flamenco a global phenomenon… while becoming Earth’s Most Exciting Pop Star.” With the May 2018 release of Rosalía’s innovative breakthrough single “Malamente (Cap.1: Augurio)”-and the fall arrival of her landmark album “El Mal Querer,” fans worldwide quickly embraced Rosalía’s phenomenal vocal capability meshed with her now fully realized fusion of classic Flamenco and other timeless music styles of Spain, with R&B, hip-hop, contemporary Latin-American rhythms and electronic beats. Coupled with Rosalía’s strong influences from industrial visual arts, female empowerment, fashion and choreography, it became clear to critics that: “El Mal Querer is a boundary-breaking modern masterpiece… that has resonated like a shockwave… it stands out from virtually everything else on the global pop landscape.” As a result of the album’s long-running impact, and additional 2019 singles that followed, Rosalia garnered a GRAMMY Award, standout GRAMMY performance, the historic first-ever Best New Artist Grammy nomination for a Spanish Language artist, and eight Latin Grammys, including Album of the Year. Additional acclaim has included two MTV VMA’s, multiple magazine covers-including the annual Sunday New York Times Magazine’s special Culture Cover, highly praised Coachella and Lollapalooza festival appearances, the most watched global YouTube video of 2019 for a female artist, and “Best Music of the Decade” picks from Rolling Stone, Billboard, GQ, The LA Times, Pitchfork and more. While Rosalía has spent a large majority of the last year immersed in the creative process of writing and recording her eagerly-awaited next album, she also finalized landmark brand partnerships with Nike and MAC’s “Viva Glam” campaign, lead the field of LATIN GRAMMY winners for the second year in a row, joined Travis Scott, Bad Bunny, the Weeknd and Billie Eilish all on massive streaming collaborative tracks, and became the first-ever all-Spanish language music artist to grace the cover of VOGUE in the United States, with the unveiling of the January 2021 “Vogue Values” issue, photographed by Annie Leibovitz. Now, Rolling Stone has already declared her upcoming next full-length release as “One of the Most Anticipated Albums of the Year.”

Rob49 – 4 God

Buzzing New Orleans artist Rob49 delivers his widely anticipated full-length project 4 God. The masterfully produced body of work features Rob’s signature Louisiana slang, delivered with a gruff musical cadence that is a refreshingly new sound out of New Orleans–shot through with the velocity of contemporary trap styles. 4 God’ is out now on all digital retailers HERE.

About Rob49

Rob49 arrived on the scene fully-formed, as though he’d been practicing for his first studio session his whole life. The deep-voiced New Orleans artist started rapping officially only a short while ago, but you wouldn’t know it—already people are calling him “baby Soulja Slim” for his magnetic presence and confidence on the mic. Listening to songs like the local anthem “Pent House,” it’s clear these sorts of accolades are earned. Across his propulsive flows, Rob raps with a natural energy and an easy assuredness, putting on for his neighborhood and remembering those he’s lost.

From early in his life, Rob49 had the DIY mentality instilled in him. Born in New Orleans in 1999, and growing up at the intersection of projects in the 4th and 9th Wards (that’s where the “49” in his rap handle comes from), Rob had to adapt to the harsh realities of his environment on his own, part of where the energy in his music originates. That energy has translated to co-signs from Say Cheese founder Shawn Cotton and Mississippi State basketball star Lamar Peters. Since his first studio session, he’s put in work, culling beats from YouTube and local producers. In 2020 alone he put out three propulsive tapes—4our the World, Vulture, and Krazy Man—building buzz in his city. It’s no mystery: on each project he sounds unbelievably poised and possessed by the beat, breathlessly digging into stories about his hood and come-up.

Li Heat – Heatin’ Up

After racking up millions of views and streams independently and attracting cosigns from the likes of Young Thug, Gucci Mane, and more, viral rap phenomenon Li Heat unleashes his new mixtape, Heatin Up. Along with the full project, an official video for “Victim” with Li Heat and Big 30 is out now. The Niles Bryant directed visual is a high-energy showcase of the duo’s combined lyrical skills.

The project showcases his growth as a red-hot artist-to-watch. Among multiple bangers, it boasts his breakout anthem “007,” which has amassed over 5 million YouTube views on its official music video and north of 1 million streams.

Additionally, Heatin Up flaunts fan favorites such as the wild “Young & Turnt” and his most recent drop “Intro.” Elsewhere on the project, he leans into airy keys on the proud Alabama anthem “Crimson Tide” [feat. Big Yayo] where he namechecks Crimson Tide heroes like DeVonta Smith. Everything concludes on “Bows” [feat. Manny Major]. He and Manny Major launch a lyrical crossfire accelerated by rapid fire cadences and tense production. With no shortage of rambunctious delivery, trap-flavored energy, and Alabama grit, it illuminates his rhyme prowess and cements him as a force to be reckoned with.

About Li Heat

Hailing from Birmingham, AL, Li Heat is the latest viral rap phenomenon poised to take over the industry’s new wave. Heat originally gained notoriety for his track “007”, an instant viral success and his biggest single to date. The rambunctious, trap-flavored, warm tune has now amassed more than two million views since uploaded to YouTube on May 27. The song’s simple, yet catchy setup has made fans out of everyone, including Young Thug and Gucci Mane (who he’s since collaborated with).

Li Heat’s style is catchy, bare-bones, and instantly memorable. He lists his inspirations as NoCap, Rylo Rodriguez, Tee Grizzley, Luh Soldier, and Lil Baby, incorporating traces of their influences into his rap style in a way that boldly creates its own, unique niche in rap’s crowded culture. It’s both familiar and yet different enough to make you intrigued. Now with the release of his debut project, which traces his growth as a musician, the Alabama-bred lyricist is on the verge of dominating the airwaves after only being in the industry for less than a year.

Masego – Studying Abroad: Extended Stay

Masego will release Studying Abroad: Extended Stay, the deluxe edition of his 2020 EP, via EQT Recordings and Capitol Records. The collection includes five new tracks. Masego completely reimagines the EP’s hit single, “Mystery Lady” (feat. Don Toliver) which has amassed over 80 million combined global streams on the TrapHouseJazz Remix, which he shared today. Listen to that HERE. Masego and Toliver recently performed “Mystery Lady” on The Late Late Show with James Corden

Additional new tracks on the deluxe edition include “Bliss Abroad” (feat. Shel), “Smith & Westin” (feat. TeaMarrr), “Well Traveled” and “Yebo/Sema.”

Studying Abroad: Extended Stay leads off with the EP’s original six tracks, which find Masego walking the listener through every phase of a relationship, from its blissful beginnings to its tragic ending. He explored uncharted territory with sampling from an international palette of sounds and styles and enlisted collaborators such as D’Mile (Usher), Jack Dine (Stormzy), Jonah Christian (Nicki Minaj), IzyBeats (Mala Rodriguez), Kojo Asamoah (Ari Lennox), Don Toliver and Shenseea.

Hailed as a “musical polyglot” by the Los Angeles Times, Masego is a singular talent and surprising presence as a saxophone player, a singer, a rapper, a comedian and a DJ. Lady Lady, his 2018 debut album, put him on the map. “Tadow,” the lead single, has surpassed half a billion global streams and been certified Gold by the RIAA. Since the album’s release, Masego has toured the world, headlining sold-out tours and starring on festival stages across every continent but Antartica. He recently contributed a new song, “Somethin’ Ain’t Right” (feat. JID and Rapsody), to Judas and the Black Messiah: The Inspired Album.

Masego – Silver Tongue Devil

Today, Masego shares Silver Tongue Devil, the latest track off his upcoming concept EP, featuring “Jamaican Princess of Dancehall” (The Guardian) Shenseea and his signature saxophone licks. The song invites fans and newcomers into the mythical mind of the artist at a crossroad: What to do with such a silver-tongued devil, who may or may not be a former flame?

WATCH THE VISUALIZER HERE

On October 14, a week following this release, Masego will share his Lyric Video for the track featuring footage shot in Mexico by Loug Delcy.

Silver Tongue Devil arrives less than a month after Masego made his return with Passport. In both Japanese and English, Masego laments the monotony of quarantine on what VICE Music dubbs as one of the “Best Songs to Usher In Fall” and NPR Music calls “a bittersweet anti-pandemic sentiment made palatable with [Masego’s] smooth voice.”

The upcoming project is a tropical journey through every aspect of a relationship, from beginning to end, showing off a new and reflective side of the artist. At the moment when Masego’s whirlwind touring life has suddenly been forced to a halt, he’s chosen to take this time to look inward and explore what he finds, both topically and sonically. The result is a body of work that shows Masego evolving in real-time, an expansion both in terms of production choice and collaborative partners. It is Masego’s most ambitious, enjoyable effort to date and his most refreshing interpretation of traphousejazz yet.

The forthcoming EP is the official follow up to Lady Lady, Masego’s epic 2018 debut that firmly put the singer/producer/multi-instrumentalist on the map or, all over the map, to be precise: In the almost-two years since its release, Masego has toured the world, headlining sold out tours and starring on festival stages across every continent but Antartica. The album was no less of a success with listeners: “Tadow,” the lead single, has surpassed half a billion streams and been certified gold by the RIAA; that same song has been used in over two million video creates on TikTok; and the project cemented him as a name to watch in the burgeoning generation of like-minded black musicians, with features and collaborations across marquee projects from the likes of Kehlani, Dreamville, KAYTRANADA and more.

Notorious BigKlit

‘The epitome of an angry bird’360

Provocative rap sensation BigKlit has announced a special new edition of her infamous 2019 LP, KLITORIUS B.I.G. The album – which includes a number of previously deleted tracks – is available today via ROT$ WORLDWIDE/RECORDS/The Orchard. KLITORIUS B.I.G. features the return of such long-unavailable fan favorites as “FaceFuk,” available now at all DSPs; the track is joined by a companion video, premiering exclusively via YouTube.

WATCH “FACEFUK”

With its snarling vocal delivery, intense production, and wildly audacious lyrics, KLITORIUS B.I.G. marks one of the first highlights of what has proven a truly incendiary run from BigKlit. The project was recorded soon after her arrival in New York City, informed by grit, heart, and an insatiable hunger to create something altogether original and her own.

BigKlit will celebrate the return of KLITORIUS B.I.G. with a livestream release party tonight, June 26, at 8 pm ET. Presented by Brooklyn’s BABY TV, tickets for the event are available on a sliding scale HERE; ticket holders will receive a link and password 30 minutes before the start of the show. Fans purchasing tickets in the 30 minutes leading up to the performance will receive their info in their order confirmation email.

BigKlit made an auspicious debut with last year’s BIG KLITOIRUS EP, followed quickly by the full-length projects. The NYC-based artist quickly caused a worldwide sensation with her breakthrough hit, “Liar.” With its brazenly explicit lyrics and brutal, relentless beats, the track proved one of 2019’s most provocative hits, first blowing up on TikTok before ascending to multiple streaming charts around the world, reaching #1 on the US Viral 50 on two separate occasions. “Liar“ is joined by an age-restricted companion video streaming now via YouTube.

2020 kicked off with the premiere of PSYCHOSIS, a remarkable 30-minute short film directed by @pgdm. “PSYCHOSIS is a dark and dreary fever dream with apocalypse-level anxiety steady throughout,” raved PAPER. “Every song featured in the film hits listeners’ ears like a hallucinogen — they can be deeply disturbing, comforting (‘Beautiful’), or both at once…It’s the type of digi-gothic, post-genre art-making that BigKlit has come to be known for, and her fans are going absolutely nuts over it.”

Last month saw BigKlit teaming up with Universal Music Group/Caroline Distribution recording artist Trippie Redd on a new version of “Beautiful. The track arrived alongside a haunting music video and companion short film, hailed by PAPER as “a work of art that’s unpredictable at every turn…complete with everything you’d likely see in a twisted thriller: lightning, murder, out-of-body experiences and drugs, all with romantic yet eerie songwriting aimed at a subject unaware of their own beauty.” Audiofemme further praised the video and short film, noting that “Beautiful” “embodies the song’s duality with a macabre love story and BDSM imagery. It’s fitting, because shifting the balance of power has been her trademark as a woman in male-dominated rap. By blurring the edges of asserting control or losing it totally, BigKlit remains a provocative artist worth keeping an eye on.”
