Fresh off the release of his third album, A Letter To My Younger Self, Quinn XCII has released a new visual for his favorite album track, “Notice Me” – watch HERE. Directed by Blythe Thomas, the video for the infectious song follows a street performer to the Venice Beach boardwalk and coincides with the song’s lyrics about breaking past self-consciousness and fear, and seeking acknowledgement from those around you. The video made its broadcast premiere on MTV Live and MTVU.

“’Notice Me’ speaks on all of the shy people out there and those with self-confidence issues,” says Quinn XCII. “The ones who know what they want to say but don’t have the courage yet to speak up. The ones that want to be noticed for once and not just be somebody that blends in.

With five years of touring and several major music festivals around the world under his belt, Quinn XCII brought his sought-after live show to the internet last night. The ‘A Letter To My Younger Self Live Stream Concert’, as part of Live Nation’s “Live From The Living Room” series, was shot live from Los Angeles and allowed fans to see Quinn XCII perform songs from his new album for the first time ever.

Re-envisioning the very concept of a music documentary, director and longtime Depeche Mode collaborator Anton Corbijn focused the narrative on six super fans from different regions of the globe. The film zeroes in on their lives – all extremely different save for their love of Depeche Mode’s music and the way that music has shaped their experiences – intercut with the final Berlin show, held at the iconic Waldbühne (“Forest Stage”) on the record-breaking two-year Global Spirit Tour in 2018, which saw them play to over 3 million fans at 115 shows around the world. The music, including several of Depeche Mode’s biggest hits, and the Spirits’ stories entwine seamlessly, illuminating the enduring power of Depeche Mode and the power music has to cross boundaries and borders and ultimately unite us.

One of the strongest performing event cinema releases, Depeche Mode: SPiRiTS in the Forest initially opened on 3,000 screens across nearly 80 countries last November. Depeche Mode to Livestream Concert

Depeche Mode and Live Nation have partnered to bring audiences around the world together for a one time only live stream of the full concert film “LiVE SPiRiTS” from Depeche Mode’s boundary-breaking, feature-length documentary and concert film, “Depeche Mode: SPiRiTS in the Forest.” Fans will be able to watch the full version of “LiVE SPiRiTS” from the comfort and safety of their own homes via Live Nation’s YouTube channel as well as their Live From Home platform on Thursday, June 25th at 12pm PT/3pm EST.

Although portions of “LiVE SPiRiTS,” which was filmed at the iconic Waldbühne (“Forest Stage”) in Berlin, have appeared in the documentary, never before has the film been seen uninterrupted in its entirety; now fans can feel they are part of the action and experience the magic themselves.

The Roots announce the third installment of their The Roots Jam Presents Solo Sessions including performances with Kassa Overall, Emily Wells, and SassyBlack available on Thursday, May 14th at 6 pm EST. This series is part of the custom content being delivered to fans during this time via The Roots YouTube Channel. All content is created by The Roots and produced by their production company, Two One Five Entertainment, in partnership with Live Nation Urban and available HERE. The Roots Jam Presents Solo Sessions is a new artist performance series highlighting emerging talent. GRAMMY® award-nominated, multi-platinum artist Halsey will launch the North American leg of her world tour on June 2 at White River Amphitheatre in Seattle, WA.

Icons of the Los Angeles underground The Growlers are bringing their annual Halloween Beach Goth to the Hollywood Palladium on October 31November 1, and November 2. Not only that, yesterday they dropped their much-anticipated new album Natural Affair!

ABOUT THE GROWLERS:

Led by singer Brooks Nielsen and music director/guitarist Matt Taylor, The Growlers have forged their own twisted path on the global music scene since their founding in 2006 in Dana Point, California. They’re the party band that grew into a traveling circus, spawning their own annual event (Beach Goth) and growing an international fanbase, while releasing six studio records that trace a line from garage psych ballads to edgy radio pop. On their first three records – Are You In Or Out? (2009), Hot Tropics (2010), and Hung at Heart (2013) – The Growlers combined reverb-rich waves of vintage surf rock with the dark, slow-burn melancholy of outlaw country. Chinese Fountain (2014) introduced a new, disco-infused direction that saw them move away from their swampy roots and relocate to Los Angeles. Amidst their much-anticipated return to the spotlight on the Mixtape Tour, the “boys in the band” announce an exclusive three-day pop-up shop in New York City.

The pop-up hits Live Nation’s Shop Nation store in Chelsea on Saturday, June 29th and will give fans access to new and exclusive vintage-inspired merchandise emblazoned with throwback lyrics like, “We like the boys, the boys in the band” and “Hangin’ Tough”, only available at the pop-up. Keeping with the aesthetic that has defined this new chapter of NKOTB’s career, the pop-up also features a number of pieces from the Mixtape Tour collection.

In addition to a perfectly curated merch collection, fans will also have the chance to win a pair of tickets and even a meet & greet with members of NKOTB at one of their shows either in Uniondale, NY on June 30th or Newark, NJ on July 2nd.

GIRLS KICK SUMMER SOUNDS INTO ACTION

International singer/songwriter, K-Syran, celebrates the recognition of women at this year’s Ibiza Music Summit and personally promises a summer of stonking dance music.

Summer – gorgeous, warm, sparkling summer.  The trees are full, the blossom’s floating down like snow and we’re hankering after those delicious brushes of warm sunshine on our skin.  Don’t you just love it! But summer brings with it so much more than the seasonal sun – it also comes armed with a whole new bag of music. As spring blends into shimmering summer, our music industry flicks the switch on the vibe dial and suddenly we burst into action on the dance floor.

Summer is officially here and that means dance music is hot on the agenda for the next four months!

Just as the first buds of spring peep into view, our radio stations tempt and tease us as they sprinkle more vibrant and energized dance tracks across the airwaves.  From that moment, us music lovers know that the new season of music has sprung into life. Summer ‘sounds’ are equally as important as the summer sun and as the Ibiza Music Summit came to an end last weekend, it marked the official start of the dance music season, bring it on!

With three Top 10 dance hits of my own, I understand just how important dance music is to all of us.  Standing hand-in-hand with festivals and live gigs, dance clubs are one of the few places that our music can touch and interact with our audience on a live level.  That’s one of the few opportunities that we have to share the exhilarating musical experience as one. For me, that’s what music is all about, that touching-point with my audience.

So I applaud my musical sisters who made a stand at this year’s Ibiza Music Summit and addressed the vital topic of Diversity in Electronic Music. Tackling the issue of female representation within the electronic music industry, Jackie Antas of Live Nation exposed some vital statistics about us girls in the industry:

  • Just 1 out of 15 of Billboard’s One’s to Watch were women
  • No major music labels have female bosses
  • In 2014, only 18% of electronic labels include women on their rosters 
  • Women made up 11% of rosters in 2016

 I’m sure you’ll agree that these statistics are kinda shocking in what’s meant to be a equal world and within an industry which focuses so heavily on female talent.  The Summit discussed the need to implement a change in thought processes globally and it was agreed that there’s absolutely no doubt that the industry needs to represent women more fairly.  We shouldn’t label talent as ‘female artists’ or ‘female DJs’ – we should be equal enough to be label for our talent, not our gender.

Bring it on girls, let’s show the industry what we’re made of!  I’m kicking live and loud into this summer of dance with a bucket load of dance music that I’ll be releasing across the season.  I’ve been working with some awesome DJs and remixers to bring you the flavour of music that I know keeps you pumping in the clubs.  From awesome Dan Boots right through to the unparalleled talent of Jamie Lewis and Mr Mike – I’ve been working relentlessly in the studio with them all and I promise I’ll make this a musical summer that you won’t forget.  Watch this space – us girls will be lighting up those Ibiza dance floors very soon!

Last night, Troye Sivan and Charli XCX co-hosted and co-headlined the first-ever Go West Fest at the Wiltern in Los Angeles. The festival’s name was inspired by the 1979 Village People song about finding a utopian land free of homophobia. Troye and Charli XCX who recently collaborated on 1999 curated the line-up, which included both LGBTQ acts and other artists active in the fight for equal rights. The festival was presented by Live Nationand sponsored by Bud Light and CALVIN KLEIN.

Junior High curated the Go West Fest Artist Circle, an exhibit that included artwork by Creepy Gals, Vanessa Lilak, Jesse McCloud and Tom of Finland. L.A. independent music store Amoeba was a vendor in the Artist Circle and donated 20% of their sales from the festival to GLAAD Glossier provided & complimentary makeup kits to festivalgoers.

Local partner & LA LGBT Center, world’s largest provider of programs and services for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, was onsite to provide resources and information on its many programs. Guests that donated to the center were entered into a raffle to win a curated collection of art books by Taschen.

Bud Light featured its special-edition Pride bottle that benefits GLAAD to the festival. In support of the campaign, Troye Sivan will donate a portion of the Go West Fest proceeds to GLAAD & Now celebrating the 20th anniversary of its partnership with GLAADBud Lightrecently unveiled rainbow aluminum bottle will be sold throughout the month of June to celebrate World Pride. For every case of rainbow bottles sold in the U.S. from May 27 to June 30, 2019, Bud Light will donate $1 to GLAAD, up to $150,000.

The food village included L.A. favorites Afters Ice Cream, which served up custom Go West Fest flavors, Made in Brooklyn pizza and Wings N Waffles.
