Valley Last Birthday The After Party EP Art via Capitol Music Group for use by 360 Magazine

Valley – The After Party

Following a whirlwind 2021, JUNO nominated, alternative-pop band Valley kicked off the new year with the release of a three-track EP, The After Party, out now via Capitol Records.

The After Party is released as an extension of the band’s previous EP, Last Birthday (October 2021) and as lead singer, Rob Laska notes “our most personal songs we’ve ever written as a band to date.” The three new songs mirror the upbeat energy of the previous EP, taking a more somber approach to the music and lyrics. “Last Birthday” is a standout track on this latest project which Valley worked on over the past two years and signifies the final release of the Last Birthday era. “The song really explains what we’ve been trying to put into words for a long time,” the band explains, “in a way it feels like the first song we’re singing directly to ourselves and our fans.” To illustrate the significance of “Last Birthday,” the band shared a Song Stories video explaining the process of writing and creating the new song. Watch the Song Story for “Last Birthday” HERE.

Last year was nonstop for Valley with a steady release schedule, each song capturing the feeling of relatable moments in time while being perfectly danceable. The explosive first single of 2021, “Like 1999” whose genesis traces back to a viral TikTok post that drove the band to finish the track in under 48 hours and went on to push their catalog to over 280 million global streams. The band performed “Like 1999” for the 2021 MYX Awards in the Philippines. Back at home, Valley was selected as Apple Music’s Up Next artist for Canada in September, joining the vast Up Next roster of past Canadian talent including Grammy-nominated and critically lauded talent like 6lack, Daniel Caesar, Jessie Reyez, Orville Peck, and Tate McRae.

Valley burst back into playing live last year, reconnecting with fans across North America. The band played their first American festivals over the summer and recently sold out shows with COIN on a 17-date North American tour. The band finished the year with two epic hometown shows at The Opera House in Toronto. Valley is gearing up for the ‘I’ll Be With You Tour,’ the band’s first-ever headlining tour with 30 dates across North America. The tour is almost entirely sold out with tickets and details available on Valley’s website.

About Valley

Valley, comprised of Rob Laska, Karah James, Mickey Brandolino, and Alex DiMauro, has spent the past two years developing organic buzz through a personal and intimate connection with their fans. Valley put together alternative pop with the care, adventurousness, and personal touch of a handmade burned CD. Cycling through moods like your favorite throwback Pinterest board, the Toronto quartet amplify sticky hooks through eloquent songcraft that’s cognizant of what came before, yet ready for the future. In 2016, Valley formed by accident when a local studio double booked them. During high school, Mike and Karah played in one band, while Rob and Alex played in another. They introduced themselves with self-written, self-produced releases, including the EP This Room Is White (2016), the full-length debut MAYBE (2019) and their EP sucks to see you doing better (2020). They joined Lennon Stella and The Band CAMINO on sold out tours across North America and even picked up a 2020 JUNO Award nomination in the category ofBreakthrough Group of the Year.” Most recently, the band released their latest EP Last Birthday via Capitol Records and joined COIN for a North American tour.

Jesse McCartney – Kiss The World Goodbye

Jesse McCartney reveals new single and video, Kiss the World Goodbye, as well as announces fall tour dates.

Today, multi-platinum recording artist, singer, songwriter, and actor Jesse McCartney released his new anthemic single and video for Kiss The World Goodbye off his upcoming sixth studio album New Stage, due out Fall 2021. Representing a new chapter in his life, New Stage is set to mark his first full-length album in seven years. The video for Kiss The World Goodbye premiered on McCartney’s YouTube page at midnight last night. Later this year, McCartney will embark on a 2021 tour, in support of the forthcoming album, with pre-sale tickets available for purchase starting later today.

Inspired by his future wife, actress Katie Peterson, the single reflects their bond where they are ready to take on anything and everything. McCartney shares, “If this last year has taught us anything, it’s to hold our loved ones close. I hope my fans can overcome the fear and anxiety that has come with this pandemic, and if it helps, they can jump in the car with a friend or significant other, roll the windows down, blast this song, and just drive! This song is intended to inspire, even when you have the weight of the world on your shoulders. And when you have that special someone you can rely on, someone who can share in the good times and bad, it really gives you the sense that the two of you can take on anything.”

Kiss The World Goodbye is written by Jesse McCartney, Carah Faye (of Shiny Toy Guns and co-writer of Stay the Night performed by Zedd & Hayley Williams), and Morgan Taylor Reid (Grammy-nominated producer who has previously worked with Marshmello, Chromeo, Backstreet Boys, American Authors, MAX, etc.). The song follows last year’s singles Yours, an introspective look at the different roles he’s played throughout his life, and Friends, an homage to the people in one’s life who become chosen family.

Directed by brother & sister duo, Maxx & Madison, the music video is themed “us against the world,” and inspired by Bonnie & Clyde meets 1996’s Romeo & Juliet, co-starring McCartney’s fiancé Katie Peterson.

This November, McCartney is set to launch his tour in Austin, TX hitting over 20 cities before ending in Los Angeles. Pre-sale tickets go on sale today, July 21. General tickets go on sale starting July 23rd. There will also be VIP packages available for purchase. Additional details to come.

About Jesse McCartney

Since the start of his career, New York-born and Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, artist, and actor Jesse McCartney has built a catalog of instantly recognizable anthems and captivated audiences on the road and on-screen. His first three albums—the platinum-certified Beautiful Soul (2004), Right Where You Want Me (2006), and Departure (2008)—consecutively bowed in the Top 15 of the Billboard Top 200 with the singles Beautiful Soul minted Gold and Leavin’ certified Platinum. Plus, he collaborated with T-Pain on the cross-genre banger Body Language. Meanwhile, SPIN touted In Technicolor as among its “Top 20 Pop Albums of 2014.” Along the way, he performed in arenas alongside the likes of New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys in addition to packing global headline tours and hosting shows for both George W. Bush and Barack Obama.

A sought-after songwriter, he notably wrote the 4x Platinum GRAMMY® Award-nominated Bleeding Love for Leona Lewis. In 2018, the one-off single Better With You racked up over 30 million cumulative streams and paved the way for his fifth offering. Simultaneously, his acting credits grew to include everything from Chernobyl Diaries and Fear The Walking Dead to Alvin and the Chipmunks, and even voicing the character Roxas/Ventus in gamer favorite Kingdom Hearts. Now, he opens up more than ever on his sixth full-length album, due out later this year.

Formed in Derby, England, in 2012, The Struts have found themselves massively embraced by some of the greatest icons in rock-and-roll history. Along with opening for Foo Fighters, The Rolling Stones, The Who, and Guns N’ Roses, the UK-bred four-piece band was handpicked by Mötley Crüe to serve as the supporting act for their last-ever performances. Releasing their debut album Everybody Wants in 2016 and sophomore album YOUNG & DANGEROUS in 2018, they’ve toured incessantly since their formation, including worldwide headline shows and major festivals like Lollapalooza, Governors Ball, and Isle of Wight. When COVID-19 brought touring to a halt, The Struts created their third album Strange Days over the course of a charmed and frenzied burst of creativity last spring. After getting tested for COVID-19, the band moved into the L.A. home of producer Jon Levine and, within just ten days, laid down nine original tracks alongside their masterful cover of a KISS B-side.

Phony Ppl Premiere Dizzying Visuals of “Way Too Far”

Phony Ppl recently unleased their new album mō’zā-ik (300 Entertainment), the follow-up to 2015 Yesterday’s Tomorrow. Blending soul, funk, R&B and more, each song on the 11-track set plays as an extended jam between five musicians playing at their peak and garnered attention from the likes of NPR, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, and NYLON, who called the album “ethereal as hell.”

Recently, the Brooklyn-based quintet release the dizzying visuals for their song, “Way Too Far.” Directed by Joe Well who has directed videos for Kendrick Lamar, YG, Puff Daddy, and The Internet, the production company who produced the video–Pyscho Films–recently produced the video for Jay Rock ft. Kendrick Lamar– “Wow Freestyle” as well as Aminé–“Reel It In.” The video follows the band and gives us a window into their world, and features cameos by Briana Shanee Wilson (Influencer/Entrepreneur/Creator of Matte Brand) and Patrick Paige II of The Internet.

The new record was met with rave reviews, with the band making Rolling Stone’s 2018 Hot List, with David Fricke noting how they are “ready for the world with  mō’zā-ik. NPR Music premiered the album via First Listen, calling it a “stepping stone for the Brooklyn Band as a subconcious vacation for the listener while moving through the world…or maybe even a retreat from it.” The collection was also featured on NPR’s ‘New Music Friday– 8 Albums You Should Hear Now.’ Pitchfork added mō’zā-ik to their ‘5 Best New Rap Songs’ list, raging about how “the group mashes so well” and “every element of their sound complements the other.” The band also appeared on MTV’s TRL, were interviewed on Sway In The Morning, are currently the face of Spotify’s Newness Playlist, and were featured as Artist of the Week by both TIDAL and Soundcloud.

The band are currently supporting Pusha T on the second leg of his Daytona Tour wrapping up with two shows in their home town at Irving Plaza in New York, and will also be playing a headlining show at Mercury Lounge December 28, with tickets on sale Nov. 20th. See below for full tour routing.

Kailee Morgue US Tour With Poppy

Today Kailee Morgue announces she will be heading on a U.S. fall tour with Poppy for her Am I A Girl? Tour. Artist pre-sale tickets go on sale Wednesday, July 11th at 10am local timeand general on-sale begins Friday, July 13th at 10am local time at www.kaileemorgue.com.

Having just sold out her debut headline shows in New York and Los Angeles, Morgue jumps to theaters by joining Poppy’s fall twenty-date run through North America, including top cities Los Angeles (The Wiltern on October 31st), New York (Irving Plaza on November 20th) and Washington D.C. (9:30 Club on November 24th).

Recently Morgue released “Do You Feel This Way (Feat. Whethan). Check out the track here!

Of the song, Morgue says, “This is one of my favorite songs I’ve made because it is off axis just enough to blur my perspective between haunting and inviting. Teaming up with Whethan brought the perfect blend of hazy lethargy and upbeat skepticism to the track. It captures the unease of that feeling of not knowing how someone truly feels about you, and it still always makes me want to move when I hear it—it’s so fun to perform.”

“Do You Feel This Way” (feat. Whethan) follows Morgue’s single “F**k U”and her 2017 breakout track, “Medusa,” which catapulted her into an overnight success after she posted a live performance of the song on Twitter. “Medusa” became the title track from her debut EP, which was also released last fall and features her hit single, “Discovery.”

Tattooed, multi-color haired and anime-obsessed 19-year-old Phoenix-based gothic pop siren, Kailee Morgue, casts a sonic spell with her music. A self-described “introvert” and the second oldest of six kids, she found solace in the sounds of fellow sonic sorceresses, such as Stevie Nicks and Gwen Stefani, as well as bands like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and more. By the age of ten, she picked up her first guitar, began quietly penning music and eventually started posting tracks on Soundcloud.

Between a gig at Jack In The Box in 2016, an 18-year-old Morgue found the beat for her breakout track, “Medusa,” on YouTube and cooked up the single. She first teased the track with a brief Twitter video, and it ignited a viral reaction garnering 100,000 “likes” overnight. Over an airy, minimalistic soundscape, Morgue creates a hypnotic and heartfelt melody with haunting and powerful lyrics. “Medusa” peaked at #1 on Hype Machine, was hailed as “Best Track of the Week” by The New York Times, MTV, The Line of Best Fit and Coup de Main and its video premiered on The FADER. As “Medusa” became an underground phenomenon, Morgue inked a deal with Republic Records in the summer of 2017. Further music is set for release this summer.

EDEN RELEASES ALBUM

Dublin-based vocalist-producer and multi-instrumentalist EDENborn Jonathon Ng, releases his debut album, vertigo, today via all digital providers. An exclusive T-shirt is available for purchase along with a digital album bundle for one week only beginning today here: http://shop.iameden.eu/.
EDEN also premieres the video for the song “float” today.  “Walking the line between stirring beats and subdued lyrics, “float is a literal medley of earnest emotion and ingenuity,” saysLadygunn.
Shot in Ukraine, the “float” video completes the trilogy directed by Zhang + Knight, who also lensed EDEN’s videos for gold and crash.” Watch it HERE.
On March 1st, EDEN kicks off the North American leg of his headlining vertigo world tour. The 21-year-old musician sold out several shows almost immediately and added additional dates and upgraded venue sizes in over ten cities due to high demand. Fourteen shows, including two nights at Irving Plaza in New York City and one night at The Fonda in Los Angeles, are sold out. Tickets for the remaining shows are on sale now at http://iameden.eu/tour. All dates can be found below.
Several tracks from vertigo have been released, including “gold,” which flew to No. 10 on Spotify’s Global Viral Chart upon release and has over four million Spotify streams to date, as does “crash.”
Pigeons & Planes declared that “‘gold’ showcases [his] songwriting skills and forward-thinking arrangement choices, and it’s an exciting look at an artist poised for a breakthrough year … EDEN is set to have a big 2018.” “gold” followed “start//end,” which Billboard called, striking … a nostalgically cast reflection on youth and all-too-relatable feelings of desperation and hope – there’s a secret depth to [EDEN’s] sound.”
V Magazine declares, “both (EDEN’s) music and his persona seem reflective of his overall goal on his upcoming debut album – to make something grand and magical out of something that seems much smaller… Given the captivating and utterly intriguing output he’s given us so far, the task should be easily doable.”
On his 2016 breakthrough EP i think you think too much of me, EDEN struck a rare balance of ingenuity and intuition with its guitar-heavy take on electronic pop. With vertigo, he takes an even more instinct-driven approach to his music, a process he perceives as a form of exploration. “Even when I’m writing, I don’t feel like I’m actually creating anything,” he says. “It’s more like I’m uncovering something that’s already there. Like how an archaeologist doesn’t create a fossil – they’re just finding it and uncovering it, and maybe rearranging it if it’s broken. Releasing this body of work is terrifying and exciting and overwhelming for me. A lot of it is so personal. This album is not a coming-of-age story, but it caused one.”
Racking up over 90 million streams on Spotify to date, i think you think too much of me EP hit No. 1 on the iTunes Alternative Chart, and No. 2 on Billboard‘s Heatseeker chart. From the bedroom of his childhood home, Ng initially began to cultivate a large online following and made his EP debut with End Credits in August 2015. Despite making no effort to promote it, he soon found the work gaining major attention – ultimately amassing more than 145 million streams combined across his two EPs. EDEN’s first U.S. tour sold out immediately and he spent that summer performing at major U.S. music festivals including Governors Ball, Bonnaroo and Firefly.  He also performed at the Reading and Leeds festivals in the UK and Fuji Rock in Japan.
