The Score – Bulletproof

Gold-certified and critically acclaimed LA-based, New York-born rock band The Score—Eddie Anthony and Edan Dover—have unleashed a brand new single entitled “Bulletproof” featuring Xylø.

Check out “Bulletproof” ft Xylø HERE via Republic Records.

The song’s release comes in tandem with the release of Netflix’s highly anticipated new film 6 Underground starring Ryan Reynolds and directed by Michael Bay. “Bulletproof” is featured as the end title song in the film and three additional songs from The Score are also featured including “Glory,” “Legend” and “The Fear.” 6 Underground is in select theaters now and on Netflix.

Buttressed by percussive distortion, wild horns, and finger-snaps, the track places the group in the center of a vibrant vocal crossfire with Xylø. Tempering pop ambition and raw edge, her voice rings out over modulation on the instantly unshakable hook, “I wish that I was bullet proof.” It’s an anthem worthy of the group’s growing catalog of bold genre-defiant bangers.

About the tune, the band commented, “We wanted to write a song that captured the feel of the movie while still being us. We felt having our friend Xylø sing the chorus would add a new dimension to the song, while still being authentic to us as a band.”

It paves the way for much more to come from The Score in 2020.

Get ready.

New York-born and Los Angeles-based duo The Score stand out as a fiery genre-defying phenomenon, incinerating the lines between rock, pop, indie, and electronic. Powered by ubiquitous anthems such as “Oh My Love,” “Legend,” and gold-selling “Unstoppable,” the boys have racked up nearly 2.2 Billion cumulative streams worldwide over the course of two EPs—Unstoppable and Myths & Legends—and a 2017 full-length debut, ATLAS. As they ignited venues across North America, in addition their music has been used in campaigns for Jeep, NBA, and beyond.
6 Underground introduces a new kind of action hero. Six individuals from all around the globe, each the very best at what they do, have been chosen not only for their skill, but for a unique desire to delete their pasts to change the future. The team is brought together by an enigmatic leader (Ryan Reynolds), whose sole mission in life is to ensure that, while he and his fellow operatives will never be remembered, their actions damn sure will.

The Score Releases “Pressure” EP

Today, critically acclaimed, buzzing LA based, New York born rock band The Score –  Eddie Anthony and Edan Dover – release their much-anticipated new Pressure EP via Republic Records.

Check out The Score’s Pressure EP HERE.

The six-song collection kicks off with the new single “Dreamin” [feat. Blackbear] which Billboard described as a “…thunderous synth-pop sound.. over an Imagine Dragons-esque melody.” The Score spring from hyper-charged verses into a hypnotically hard-hitting hook just before Blackbear weaves together an unforgettable cameo of his own. The EP also boasts the fan favorites such as “The Fear” and “Glory” as well as the 2018 hit “Stronger,” which has clocked over 30 million streams and 21 million-plus views for its music video to date. Check out the full tracklisting below.

On the EP and new single “Dreamin” the band noted: “Dreamin” represents an evolution sonically for us. This song in particular and the rest of the PRESSURE EP was about pushing our boundaries as artists and dealing with the insecurities that come with that. It was one of the scariest times for us creatively because we knew we wanted to grow and not fit in a box but naturally we were fighting our own doubts about getting out of our comfort zone. This EP really encompasses what we we’ve been going through and I think Blackbear is someone who related to that and therefore fit really naturally on top of the foundation we laid. We love what he did and what he brings to this song.”

Writing at a Hollywood and Vine spot, they joined forces with a bevy of high-profile collaborators, JT Daly [K. Flay], Heavy [Dirty Heads, Saint Motel, Sleeping with Sirens], Adam Hawkins [Twenty-One Pilots, Muse], and Dave Bassett [Elle King, Vance Joy] and shocked that vision to life.

The Score Return with New Single “Stronger”

Rounding out a breakout, LA rock band The ScoreEddie Anthony and Edan Dover–unveil their new single “Stronger” via Republic Records. Get it here!

The Score siphoned a spirit of urgency into this forthcoming body of work. Inspired by rap-adjacent artists a la Post Malone and K. Flay, they amassed a growing arsenal of analog synths to “get away from the riff-based and stomp-clap organic drum sound and move to an evolving sound where the drum machines, synthesizers, and guitars worked together.”

Writing at a Hollywood and Vine spot, they joined forces with a bevy of high-profile collaborators, JT Daly, The Heavy, Adam Hawkins, and Dave Bassett and shocked that vision to life.

The song comes right in the middle of their Revolution Tour where they’ll be making stops are Brooklyn’s Rough Trade on September 25th and Los Angeles’ The Moroccan Lounge on October 18th, See full tour dates here.
