Grammy Award-nominated multiplatinum singer and songwriter JULIA MICHAELSreveals the title and track listing to her long-awaited debut album,Not In Chronological Order, which arrives April 30th. In support of the release, JULIA spoke with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 Radio’s New Music Daily Show.
Offering another glimpse into what fans can expect from the upcoming album, “Love Is Weird,” weaves together airy production and soft acoustic guitar, while she delicately likens relationships to “Playing Operation trying to put me back together,” before candidly admitting, “Love is weird. Don’t know how I wound up here…It shows up and disappears.” This honest and hypnotic melody highlights her uncanny ability to tune into raw emotion and unfiltered lyricism, with her signature vocal tone and delivery.
The new song sets the stage for the release of her anxiously awaited full-length debut album, Not In Chronological Order, out on April 30, 2021. Presenting a full 360-degree perspective on the critically acclaimed songstress, it examines every facet of her life emotionally and spiritually in a 10-song body of work that finds Julia piecing together the chapters of her life in one place work – pre-order Not In Chronological OrderHERE.
“When I was looking at the tracklisting, it literally was not in chronological order of the events that it took place in my life,” she says. “The way that I saw the tracklisting in my head, a lot of the heartbreak came in the middle, and finding new love came at the end. That’s the arc of this album: I’m not bitter about love anymore. I know what functional love is like and being in love and being hesitant about that love because it feels so perfect.”
JULIA’S current single “All Your Exes” arrived at critical acclaim upon its release. Co-written with Grammy nominated singer and songwriter JP Saxe, “All Your Exes,”Entertainment Weekly hailed it “a deliciously wicked delight,” with The New York Times praising it as “harsh, funny, sad and relatably petty.”FLOOD Magazine called it “a prime example of a vulnerable pop-punk banger,” whileBillboard noted “Michaels has a tendency to throttle her listeners with her pen — and on the muscular, virtuosic “All Your Exes,” she makes sure that your attention is focused entirely on her seething jealousy.” Meanwhile, V Magazine summarized, “There’s something to ditching fairytale notions of love that Julia Michaels fully gets as she returns to the front of the stage once again.”
JULIA currently features on the cover of Euphoria Magazine where she talks more about the album HERE.

ABOUT JULIA MICHAELS Over the past few years, no songwriter has had more of an impact on reshaping pop music than Grammy nominated and multi-platinum selling artist Julia Michaels, whose razor-sharp perspective on love, loss, and the wide spectrum of the human experience has deservedly catapulted her to the forefront of her industry. Lauded for her work on hit singles by artists like Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Niall Horan, Dua Lipa, Janelle Monáe, Shawn Mendes, P!NK, Ed Sheeran, Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani, Hailee Steinfeld, The Chicks, Keith Urban, Jessie Ware, and more, Julia has spent the last decade honing her craft and delivering fans some of the most evocative music of a generation.
In 2017, Julia embarked on a solo career separate from her work synthesizing the stories of the stars around her with “Issues,” her 5x-platinum selling debut single. A year later, her peers recognized her stunning work with Grammy nominations for “Best New Artist” and “Song of the Year.” Committing to her solo work, Julia released a series of critically acclaimed EPs, including 2017’s fan-favorite Nervous System and 2019’s critically acclaimed Inner Monologue Part 1 and Inner Monologue Part 2. OFF THEIR 3RD ALBUM, SEASON3. [HIDEOUT: BE OUR VOICE]
K-Pop boy band, CRAVITY, has released their highly anticipated performance video for “Bad Habits” today. The B-side track is off their 3rd album, SEASON3. [HIDEOUT: BE OUR VOICE], released earlier this year. With an ambitious drive to turn the year 2021 into CRAVITY’s, the members wasted no time speaking to places like Good Day New York, iHeart, ET Canada, Radio.com, and many more, about their success thus far and the creative process behind the album.
“We shot the performance video for “Bad Habits” using many new techniques we haven’t tried before, for example, shooting with night vision or lip-syncing to a lower angle camera through a glass pane. The dance routine was really fun to perform and suits the mood of the song really well,” says Rapper Allen. The leader of the group, Serim, adds “We had a very short time to prepare for our B-side track promotion, but we’ve worked super hard to complete it in success.”
The main theme for the performance video of “Bad Habits” is ‘Nocturnal,’ and viewers can see the members’ dynamic moves and performance on the night of the full moon. They’ve turned into bad boys with funky visuals and will draw full attention by showing more matured and developed skills. The song “Bad Habits” is meant to showcase a different side of the CRAVITY members with a more rough and tough persona. The lyrics tell a story of 9 members who will not collapse in this world but will clearly show their own way to survive through it. EXY from K-Pop Group Cosmic Girls (WJSN) participated as a lyricist on this track with underground trap beats. In addition, 3 CRAVITY members [Taeyoung, Allen, and Hyeongjun] participated in the draft version of the “Bad Habits” choreography, further showing their artistic abilities.
CRAVITY’s debut album, released in April 2020, SEASON1. [HIDEOUT: REMEMBER WHO WE ARE] caused a wave of intrigue and excitement here in the states, with mentions in PAPER Magazine, Access, iHeart, J-14, MTV News, Earmilk, Teen Vogue, andRolling Stone, who referred to their title track as “An anthemic track from the K-pop rookies that combines 808-style riffs with the melodic sensibilities of early-2000s boybands (extended dance break included).” In addition to that, CRAVITY made a splash on social media, debuting at No. 12 on Billboard’s Social 50 chart for the week dated April 25.
CRAVITY has also garnered the title “Super Rookie” over in Korea due to their debut album’s success, which hit No. 1 on the U.S. @iTunes Top K-Pop Albums chart, making them the first #Kpop rookie group to debut in 2020 to earn this achievement. CRAVITY has marked their relentless movement, sweeping the rookie of the year awards at various music awards ceremonies in Korea. Even after releasing only two albums, their achievements were more than enough to show their presence in the K-pop scene, giving them the title ‘2020 super rookie.’
The inspiration behind the name, CRAVITY, came to fruition through the combination of “Creativity” and “Gravity,” Starship Entertainment’s new boy band for the first time in five years since Monsta X. Consisting of nine members, [Serim, Allen, Jungmo, Woobin, Wonjin, Minhee, Hyeongjun, Taeyoung, and Seongmin], CRAVITY, which is also an acronym for “Center of Gravity,” is meant to attract/gravitate listeners into their unique universe, by pulling them in with their creativity, charm, and pure talent. As humans, we all have our own “first experiences,”; whether that be in school, society, or in a relationship. When encountering new relationships, we sometimes prepare ourselves by running from the starting line at full speed, hearts racing, butterflies in our stomach, but at the same time, we are afraid. We are hopeful, but we also experience despair.
Sheff G, the leader of Brooklyn’s premier crew and label, Winners Circle Entertainment, closes out 2020 with the release of his debut album Proud of Me Now (Winners Circle Entertainment/RCA Records). With Great John (“on the beat by the way”) helming production, Proud of Me Now is a coming-of-age lyrical journey where Sheff details his evolution – from his slip-ups to his come ups. Click here to listen.
Sheff kicked off Proud Of Me Now with the release of two singles, “No Negotiations and Lights On,” both of which further exemplified why Vulture named him as part of “NY’s Next Rap Generation.” Throughout the album, Sheff continues to play between a smooth flow and guttural style, leading beyond the Brooklyn drill movement.
“‘Proud of Me Now’ is my first album in partnership with RCA and my label Winners Circle. A lot of hard work went into making this album. I’m proud of the music I’m making. I’m proud of my team. I’m proud of being a CEO. I’m proud of me, now!!!,” says Sheff G.
Sheff G has also gained positive attention from the media. “When Flatbush drill rapper Sheff G is at the peak of his powers, his songs are exhilarating…His raps feel like wind sprints,” said Pitchfork.
Sheff G is also proud to have been chosen as Audiomack’s latest UpNow artist, their signature program dedicated to spotlighting and promoting the next generation of global music superstars. Announced earlier today by the streaming platform, Sheff G currently graces the cover of their popular UpNow Playlist and will be prominently featured across their channels with specialized marketing, editorial, social support, playlisting, custom videos, and more.
Over the past two years, and particularly throughout this summer, Sheff G kept the streets of Brooklyn and beyond ablaze with several drops, including his previous mixtape Just For Y’all, which garnered over 9.6M streams across all platforms, and the One and Only EP, ranked #21 on Complex’s list of 2020’s best albums so far.
Sheff G’s rise to stardom began in 2016 creating a local hit, “Nightmare,” produced by Great John in his living room. The following year, he released his breakout hit “No Suburban,” followed by the acclaimed 2019 project, The Unluccy Luccy Kid. Sheff showed no signs of slowing down dropping “No Suburban Pt. 2” which received over 21.2M streams. With each release, Sheff G displays a raw style addressing blunt realities with authenticity.
Listen to Proud of Me Now here. You can also watch “Lights On” here.

Today sees Madison Beer release her latest single “BOYSHIT” via Epic Records. With the release comes Madison’s Vevo LIFT campaign, which features a performance of the single, along with “Selfish”, her fastest ever US certified gold record, and a short film on the artist titled “Becoming”. “BOYSHIT” is taken from Madison’s forthcoming debut album, Life Support, out 26th February 2021.
“’BOYSHIT’ is one of the last songs I recorded for my album, and it was just kind of a build up after this really long year.” says Madison. “It’s simply about knowing your worth and when to leave a situation. With the play on “bullshit” I figured it was the perfect time to use the age old saying about an immature or disrespectful boyfriend, ‘he’s not a man, he’s a boy,’ but it then flourished into more. This isn’t as simple as a childish man, it’s deeper than that. Anyone can behave in a “BOYSHIT” manner and I think there’s something to be said about knowing when enough is enough and when you’re truly just feeding into nonsense, I think a lot of that is knowing your worth. This song is meant to uplift and inspire people, of all genders, to know when it’s time to stop putting up with boyshit.”
“BOYSHIT” is the latest single from Madison’s highly anticipated debut album, Life Support, out 26th February 2021. The album is a strong personal and artistic statement that sees Madison where she thrives – commanding creative control through writing her own songs, producing and creating her own visuals. Life Support features previous releases “Good In Goodbye”,“Selfish”, “Stained Glass” and “Baby” which have a combined total stream count of over 442 million. Globally, Madison has nearly 3 billion streams across her catalogue.
“Writing songs is like therapy for me.” says Madison. “That’s why this album is called Life Support. It helped me get rid of the darkness and see the light. My inspirations sonically are really diverse. I guess I’m not an easy artist to pigeonhole, and a lot of these songs are like nothing I’ve ever attempted before. All of me is laid bare on this album; it’s been a really fulfilling experience to create something that feels so true to myself. I’m grateful to my fans who have stuck by me since the beginning. Life Support has been a long time coming, and I’m just so excited for them to see what I’ve been working on.”
Vevo has tapped Madison for their coveted LIFT campaign, out now. The 3-part series features a performance of “BOYSHIT”and “Selfish” alongside a short film titled “Becoming”. The campaign takes viewers further into the mind of the artist with striking visuals and gripping storytelling, and further cements Madison as an artist to watch for 2021. Vevo LIFT alumni include Billie Eilish, Halsey, Jorja Smith, and SZA.
Prior to signing with Epic Records late last year, Madison Beer achieved unprecedented success as an independent artist with her partner First Access Entertainment, having sold over 1 million records in the UK alone. Her debut EP As She Pleases made her the first independent female solo artist to break into the Top 20 radio charts, after having debuted in the Top 5 on iTunes in 18 countries and in the Top 10 in 42 countries worldwide. Following the release of As She Pleases Madison featured on Platinum Certified UK Top 10 hit “All Day and Night” by Europa and “Pop/Stars” by K/DA which topped Billboard’s world digital song sales chart. She’s attracted the endorsement of Time, NME, Complex, The Guardian,Billboard who named her among its coveted “21 Under 21” list and Rolling Stone who hailed her as a “rising pop star”.
Today, global superstar DJ, producer and live instrumentalist Timmy Trumpet releases his highly anticipated debut album MAD WORLD. Inspired by the world we live in; Mad World is the official soundtrack of 2020 – an ode to an era we will never forget.
This 18-track epic collection includes collaborations with R3HAB, Scooter, Vini Vici, Vengaboys and Gabry Ponte, and features 11 brand-new tracks never heard anywhere else before.
“I’ve been a trained Jazz musician and composer most of my life and I’ve been dreaming of the day when I finally release an artist album. I went into this experience with no limitations or expectations on myself or what others may expect from me or have come to know of me” says Timmy.
“This album represents all of me and all of what inspires me the most. The people, my fans, my family, my friends,” Timmy continued. “The people that make everything we go through in life worth it no matter what challenges we face. They make me who I am, and this is what I have made for them in return. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I’ve loved making it.”
For the album cover, Timmy turned to his fans to help create a collage of pictures that tell the story of what the experiences of this year mean to them. Timmy personally sought through thousands of images reading the attached stories written by people all over the world. It’s this attention to detail that is evident in this body of work, a well-defined and definitive collection of electronica that encompasses a plethora of sub-genres. Timeless and timely, this is the album his fans have been patiently waiting for.
2020 has been a monstrous year for Timmy Trumpet as he continues his climb to the very top of the global music scene at an unrelenting pace. His very first live stream clocked over 7 Million views becoming one of the most-watched events in electronic music this year and more recently he landed in the Top 10 of DJ Mag Top 100, a feat managed only by a very small list of artists in the past decade.
In the lead up to the release of MAD WORLD, Timmy dropped the title track, “Mad World,” in collaboration with Italian DJ/producer Gabry Ponte, along with the music video featuring stunning visuals filmed in Philadelphia just one day after the pivotal 2020 U.S. Presidential election. He also released his second single off MAD WORLD, “Paul Is Dead,” with German techno legends Scooter on November 27.

Orava – the French-born, London-based multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and producer – has just released a stunning debut album, ‘Behind The Wave.’ A graduate of the Musician Institute of London, Orava draws inspiration from French touch, classic electronic, DnB, and traditional rock, blending analog with digital, homemade recordings with elaborate production, and vintage instruments with synthetic textures.
We last heard from Orava upon the release of his captivating music video for “Going Backwards,” which was shot on a beach in southwest France. Opening with an ambient grand-piano and melancholic vocal melody, “Going Backwards” deals with the impact of time on people’s personal growth and “the wish to go back in time to make better choices,” Orava explains. The reverse sequence music video features a mysterious figure emerging from the ocean and slowly walking backwards to the top of a dune, and the powerful connection between the video and the song offers viewers a shortcut in understanding the deeper meaning behind Orava’s lyrics.
Born Axel Gerard and crafting his music between England and his native France since 2018, Orava is named after a stream in north-western Slovakia that roughly translates as “roaring river.” Inspired by artists like Daft Punk, Phoenix, and Depeche Mode, Orava’s compositions tackle the common hopes, doubts and fears of his generation, drawing mostly from his own experiences. Written, composed and produced entirely by the artist, “Going Backwards” follows the release of his previous singles “Behind The Wave,” “The Rest is Noise,” and “Now I Know.”
Check out ‘Behind The Wave’ wherever you get your music, and be sure to keep an eye on this promising new artist. We’re sure we’ll be hearing a lot more from Orava over the next few years.
Modern day rockstar, POORSTACY, releases his new single “Nothing Left” featuring Blink 182’s Travis Barker, out now via 10K Projects. “Nothing Left” arrives on the heels of his latest single “Love Spells,” and his appearance on the Bill & Ted Face the Music soundtrack. With an energetic and irresistible beat, “Nothing Left” asserts POORSTACY as a rising force in the genre. “Nothing Left” is POORSTACY’s second single with Travis Barker and will certainly not be the last. The pair plans to release a full project together in 2021.
Growing up on a diet of punk, metal, and hip hop, rising artist POORSTACY is a sum of disparate influences. The 21-year-old singer, rapper and guitarist spent his formative years performing shows in small venues around his hometown of Palm Beach, Florida: “There’s a real metal scene out here. Lots of punk rock, gothic stuff. I’ve chosen to actually make music based on what I grew up around.” Combining the power chords and angst of punk with the 808s and half-sung melodies of modern hip hop, POORSTACY quickly gained the attention of record label 10K Projects, who signed the young artist in early 2019. With lyrics often focused on themes of isolation and anxiety, POORSTACY’s work feels both intimate and universal, and has led to collaborations with multi-Platinum selling producer Nick Mira (Juice WRLD, Post Malone) and, most recently, Blink-182’s Travis Barker.
Since the beginning of his music making, POORSTACY’s influences have remained eclectic, ranging from Slipknot, Billy Idol, Earl Sweatshirt and Flatbush Zombies. Citing legendary Z-Boys skateboarder, Stacy Peralta, as the inspiration behind his artist name, he notes, “Stacy Peralta himself was not shown a lot of attention at the start, but he ended up being one of the biggest legends in skateboarding in the end. I always loved the idea of that, of doing your own thing and having it pay off.” Also citing films like V For Vendetta, Rob Zombie’s remake of Halloween, and Trainspotting as inspiration, a core tenet of POORSTACY’s songwriting is drawing metaphors from unlikely sources.
His debut album, The Breakfast Club, was released at the beginning of 2020, a nod to the 1985 cult classic. “The album was written based on pure instinct and raw emotion,” he reflects, “I want people to understand themselves by hearing their feelings put into words through me.” Featuring labelmate iann dior, The Breakfast Club was a hip hop/punk record which reflected his South Florida upbringing and proved his ability to create a large cohesive project. With punk and metal-heavy tracks like “Hotel” and “Afraid,” POORSTACY shows off his range and his fearlessness as a songwriter.

ALEC KING RELEASES DEBUT ALBUM EVERYTHING’S BACKWARDS TODAY FEATURING GUESTS GNASH, SKIZZY MARS & MORE
After a year of wild bangers and insane videos filled with cameos by cartoons, puppies and adult film starlets, Los Angeles-based artist Alec King releases his anxiously awaited full-length debut album EVERYTHING’S BACKWARDS via The Heavy Group/Republic Records.
He initially teased the record with “Fuck Wow Holy Shit” and its unbelievable accompanying music video. However, the 15-track opus proves why he’s the most interesting man in rap. He oozes Denver pride and locks bars with Skizzy Mars on “303-905-5535,” and he also knows how to lull you into a singalong with his new single “Numb & Nervous” feat. gnash.
Between the confessions of “Innocent In A Sense” and plea to “Plz Stop Stalkin Me,” he even gets way more intimate than expected during the ironically titled finale “The Intro.”
The album follows the releases of “Weekends,” “Way Up” and “Dangerous,” which received heavy radio support in his hometown of Denver and over 2 million streams in a few months. At the end of last year, Alec King went on his debut US tour with diva on the rise, KianaLedé. He performed to sold out venues, including Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Washington DC and more, winning the crowd over with his infectious charm, incredible stage presence and catchy songs.
Is there any line this guy won’t cross? Alec King is the kind of dude who rips bars about Wisconsin and god-awful ex-girlfriends with the same passion. He considers Curb Your Enthusiasm his “Torah.” He jumps into bathtubs with Porn Stars in music videos that he directs himself. He even went so far as to name his official debut EP, Greatest Hits, Vol. 1, and its successor, Greatest Hits, Vol. 2 (he backed up the latter with some heat). On the ‘gram, you’re just as likely to catch him in the shower as you are to catch him coloring with sidewalk chalk. This sort of personality endeared him to both fans and peers alike. Posting up 10 million-plus streams under-the-radar and attracting acclaim from Dancing Astronaut, he has collaborated with legends such as Biz Markie and modern stars a la Rich The Kid and Kiana Ledé. Not to mention, he did all of this D.I.Y. primarily relying on an in-house team. In 2020, he floods the game with a series of singles and more surprises.
