Today, the powerhouse emo quintet Mayday Parade release their brand-new single, Bad At Love, via Rise Records. Listen HERE and watch the music video HERE.

Shot in California and directed by Katharine White, the accompanying visual shows a couple at a turning point in their relationship. Emotional vignettes of their journey are shown on television screens in an otherwise empty home, matching the mood of the song. The new single, which premiered on KROQ Sunday, August 15, is a stark contrast to the recently-released anthemic track Kids of Summer, which was written about the band’s carefree summers on the Vans Warped Tour. Both songs are just a small taste of more music coming soon on the horizon.

Since their formation, Mayday Parade have sold over 1.6 million albums in the U.S. inclusive of 675 million streams across their catalog, earning their spot as a household name in the industry. With a certified Gold album and countless global tours under their belt, the band shows no signs of slowing down as their fanbase continues to grow. Recently, their debut album A Lesson In Romantics has found new life on TikTok, with fans using the original tracks in their content as well as creating their own cover versions, some amassing millions of views.

The new songs arrive on the heels of the band’s recent fall headline tour announcement. Mayday Parade will make their triumphant return to the stage beginning September 8 with a two-week run featuring support from Microwave. In addition to the headline dates, Mayday Parade will appear at numerous festivals this year including Riot Fest (Chicago, IL), Four Chord Music Fest (Pittsburgh, PA), Furnace Festival (Birmingham, AL), Nova Rock Festival (Austria), Greenfield Festival (Switzerland), Hurricane Festival (Germany), and Southside Festival (Germany), with more to come soon.

2020 marked a stark departure for the Tallahassee, FL band, who typically play several festivals and hundreds of shows across North America and internationally each year. After spending most of the year apart, the band – Derek Sanders, Brooks Betts, Alex Garcia, Jake Bundrick, and Jeremy Lenzo – got together for two special virtual show events, starting with the Out of Here Session in October, followed by the Anywhere But Here Session which highlighted a front-to-back performance of their 2009 sophomore LP Anywhere But Here.

Today, critically acclaimed trailblazer UPSAHL releases her new single “Time of my Life,” an introspective anthem off of her debut album due out this October on Arista Records. The pensive track’s melodic hook and punchy chorus put UPSAHL’s addictive sound and songwriting prowess front and center.

Directed by George Gallardo Kattah, the playful video juxtaposes present-day UPSAHL with a younger version of herself, allowing moments of childhood nostalgia to manifest in the now. Raw and vulnerable, UPSAHL invites viewers to tag along as she wonders, “How come all the worst days are in the time of my life?”

Of the song, UPSAHL explains, “I wrote ‘Time of my Life’ about being the happiest I’ve ever been, while simultaneously being the saddest I’ve ever been. I’m at a place in my life where I feel like the highs are really really high, but on the flip side, it makes the impact of the lows even lower. The day we wrote this song, I had the line: ‘How come all the worst days are in the time of my life?’ dancing around in my head. So we ended up making that the chorus and building the rest of the song around it.”

Of the video, she added, “For the music video, George, the director, and I really wanted to emphasize the nostalgia that this song sparks. Personally, I feel like some of my most reflective moments are in the shower, so we wanted the video to take place there, while flashing back to some of the best and worst moments of my life. We wanted it to feel very dramatic and introspective, so we shot the video on a high speed camera at 60-1000 frames per second to make it all look like it’s moving in slow motion.”

“Time of my Life” follows on the heels of UPSAHL’s recent single “Melatonin,” a “bright, buoyant” (Billboard) track exemplifying the iconoclast’s musical depth and creating another important stop in the journey to her upcoming debut album.

The tour will see both bands traversing the country this summer and will give fans the chance to see two of the biggest forces in rock perform on the same stage each night.

Produced by Live Nation, the coast-to-coast 28-city outing will kick off August 5th in West Palm Beach, FL and make stops in Long Island, Detroit, Irvine, Phoenix, Austin and more, before wrapping up with a performance at Dallas’ Dos Equis Pavilion on September 21st. Lewis Capaldi’s Debut Album

Lewis Capaldi will release his debut album — Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent – on May 17th via Capitol Records.  The 22-year-old Scottish singer-songwriter also announced plans for a U.S. June tour and recently shared the official video for his new single, “Someone You Loved,” which stars Scottish actor Peter Capaldi, who portrayed the Twelfth Doctor in the iconic British television show “Dr. Who” and is a distant cousin of Lewis. 

The video, which can be viewed HERE, amassed over one million views in four days and trended on YouTube, hitting #2. “Someone You Loved” and Peter Capaldi also trended on Twitter on the day of release.

In an open, heartfelt letter, Lewis Capaldi explains: 

I’m absolutely buzzing to finally be able to announce my debut album. I never thought I’d get to the point where I’d be able to release a proper album and I ABSOLUTELY never thought that when I did, I would give it a name as stupid I have, but here we are.

Everyone always tells you about how amazing recording their first album was and how they’ll always look back on the ‘process’ with fond memories. I will look back on it as an extremely stressful time that somehow also managed to be extremely boring. The actual process of building the songs up I loved, but recording the same guitar parts over and over again to get them right and going back on mixes for weeks, I did not.

I hope people don’t think it’s shit. I mean don’t get me wrong there will be one or two stinkers on there, but I’m only human and we all make mistakes, but as a whole I think it’s pretty fucking good.

I’m excited for it to be released and have people finally be able to hear a full body of work from me for the first time. Should it bomb completely or receive an absolute critical lambasting, don’t worry, it’s just my life’s work up until this point….

His U.S. tour, which kicks off on June 1st at The Sinclair in Boston, will include a June 4th show at New York City’s Irving Plaza. It will wrap up at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles on June 12th. Jacquees and TK Kravitz Collab for the Sultry New Song OCEAN

Songwriter, TK Kravitz teamed up with fellow ATLien and R&B sensation, Jacquees for his new record, “Ocean.”

Premiering with Complex.com, Jacquees spoke about the record stating, “TK knew this record was a hit. He called me and told me he had one. I came to the studio and we jumped in the booth together and created a classic.TK added, “I called Que to the studio knowing I had a hit for him to be apart of! We went straight in the booth together and just vibed out until the record was complete.”

Ocean” comes right after TK smash hit, “Space Ft. Sexton,” which reached the Top 10 on Urban US Radio and garnered over 50 million total streams. After dominating radio and embarking on a US tour with A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie this past fall, TK Kravitz is definitely off to a great start in 2018. The seductive and clever “Ocean” perfectly showcases how both TK and Jacquees’ incredible voices compliment each other on the record.
