Most recently, The Harlem native has her hit reality show, We Got Love Teyana & Iman,” on E! As well as her appearance for Coming 2 America exclusively on Amazon Prime. Teyana also released her third studio album The Album last summer, which went on to debut at No. 8 on the Billboard 200, becoming her first Top 10 debut.

About Teyana Taylor

Being a jack of trades has enabled Teyana Taylor to become a master of all. From her smoky melodic vocals to her dynamic dance moves, the R&B superstar entertainer dips ’n dives between her talents as singer, songwriter, producer, director, dancer/choreographer, actor, fitness guru, model, and mother. When it comes to describing herself, the Harlem native can only think of one word: Everything.

In 2014, Teyana’s love for the arts and R&B earned her the title of the first woman signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint. Teyana dropped her debut album VII in November 2014, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart in 2014, cementing her position in today’s modern R&B field.

Soon after, Teyana went on to star in the internet-breaking video for Kanye West’s “Fade,” and scored her first MTV Moonman for “Best Choreography” at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards.

Upon the release of her second album, K.T.S.E. (acronym for Keep That Same Energy) an 18-month chain reaction was set-off for Teyana. Hip-hop audiences embraced the RIAA gold “Gonna Love Me” remix featuring Wu-Tang Clan’s Ghostface Killah, Method Man and Raekwon, whose video was directed by Teyana.

With her all-female production company The Aunties, Teyana has also directed videos for her peers like T.I. (“You”), Monica (“Commitment”), and Lil Duval (“Pull Up” featuring Ty Dolla $ign), as fans like Ms. Lauryn Hill and Elton John praise her boss moves.  Teyana’s star continued to rise in the tumultuous year of 2020, with the Juneteenth arrival of THE ALBUM containing the essential single and video releases “Wake Up Love,” “Made It,” and “How You Want It? (HYWI?)”. She earned Video Director of the Year Award at the 2020 BET Awards.

Part of what makes Teyana stand out from the rest is her ability to move with precision and poise in everything she does. From the studio to the stage, every idea is a project with the singer front and center with a vision all her own. With her musical inspirations like Aaliyah, Teena Marie, Mint Condition and Janet Jackson speaking to her soul, Teyana is aware her mission is larger than life. “I’m working on myself everyday and I think that’s my purpose,” she says, comparing her life to a never-ending book. “I’m still going, still mastering and being a better me.”

Thrice Announces New Album Horizons/East

Thrice releases new single, Scavengers, in anticipation of their new album, Horizons/East, out this fall.

Returning with their 11th studio album, the dynamic and explorative California-based rock band Thrice announces new album Horizons/East, out September 17 via Epitaph Records on streaming platforms. The album exemplifies art as a work of recognition: the human task of perceiving oneself amid details, disasters, and blessings as a relentlessly relational phenomenon among others. In this, Horizons/East is the rare rock album on which interrelatedness is a theme, painting an adventurous and lush landscape mixed by Scott Evans that the band self-produced and recorded at their own New Grass Studio.

The powerful new single, Scavengers, is out today. Over a dark and intricate braiding of guitar and drum grooves, the lyrics challenge us to discern the issues and information that bonds us versus what disintegrates and destroys. For vocalist Dustin Kensrue, the song is – but also kind of isn’t – a thing of the past. Whether lost in a media diet that is essentially a disinformation pipeline or, relatedly, trapped in fear of a future of eternal conscious pain, Kensrue speaks of “toxic worldviews I once inhabited, and in truth, a lot of people that I love are still in that place.”

To emerge from a global pandemic with a renewed sense of situational awareness, hard-won insight, and a new album is the kind of move we’ve come to expect from Thrice over the last twenty years. With Horizons/East, Kensrue and his bandmates address, with candor and courage, the fragile and awkward arrangements that pass for civilization, while inviting us to dwell more knowingly within our own lives. Without surrendering any of the energy and hard edge of their previous albums, they’ve given us a profoundly meditative work, which serves as a musical summons to everyday attentiveness.

Horizons/East conveys a palpable sense of danger, determination, and possibility. Some of the writing even began with open-ended challenges that the band laid on themselves like building a song using the quartal chords they found in much of the jazz they loved, or taking the Fibonacci sequence and turning it into a guitar riff.

Thrice seems ever eager to step out into these spaces unknown to them, unsure of where their feet will land, and this new record is no exception. Horizons/East is a soundtrack for deeper dreaming.

CHELSEA CUTLER × WALKING AWAY

Platinum Certified singer, songwriter, and producer Chelsea Cutler is back today with her new single, “Walking Away”—listen HERE!

Chelsea Cutler’s new song “Walking Away” hinges on lightly plucked guitar, as she accepts the end of a relationship and says goodbye once and for all through lyrics so personal, they could be a text message. Last year, she shared a short snippet of the track on Instagram, which fans lovingly dubbed the “Jeep Song.” After months of clamoring for its release, she finally delivers it today, and it marks the beginning of her highly anticipated sophomore album, set for release later this year.

Of the new song, Chelsea says, “‘Walking Away’ is about how intricate and complex a relationship can be, and it’s also about realizing you can’t keep holding on to something when it’s not right. This was actually the first song I wrote for the album, so it feels fitting to go forward into this next chapter with this single. I’m so excited to share everything with the world!”

Earlier this week, she shared with her fans on socials, “i spent a lot of time this past year daydreaming. for the first time in a few years, i was stationary. and i didn’t really know how to be stationary, or how to spend time alone with myself. so i closed my eyes a lot. i envisioned places i wanted to see and things i wanted to do. all of the daydreams and emotions i had eventually materialized into my second album, which i am proud to say is finished. i miss you guys, and i love knowing i get to share moments and feelings with you all again soon.”

“Walking Away” follows Chelsea’s critically acclaimed 2020 debut album, How To Be Human, 2021 brent ii EP with Jeremy Zucker, and a slew of widely praised collaborations over the past year, including “Stay Next To Me” with Quinn XCII, “Little Things” with Louis The Child and Quinn XCII, “Crying Over You” with The Band CAMINO, and “Crazier Things” with Noah Kahan. As Chelsea gears up to release her upcoming sophomore album, she will embark on the “Stay Next To Me Tour” with Quinn XCII this fall, which includes two sold out shows at New York’s iconic Radio City Music Hall on September 17th and 18th—see the full list of tour dates below. Tickets are on sale now at https://www.chelseacutler.com/. In addition to the “Stay Next To Me Tour,” Chelsea will perform a sold out show at Red Rock’s Amphitheatre on August 17th, alongside her fellow Mutual Friends artists, Quinn XCII, Jeremy Zucker, and ayokay.

Stay tuned for more new music to come from Chelsea Cutler this summer.

Denver-based artist Nick Miller, known professionally as Illenium, has signed to Astralwerks and makes his debut on the renowned dance label with the highly personal single Take You Down. After hearing from many fans about how his music has gotten them through dark periods, he felt compelled to share how music saved his life, too, following a heroin overdose six years ago.

In a letter to fans, posted HERE, Illenium explains, “Take You Down is about my struggles with addiction and what it can do to families and loved ones. It’s more specifically about my mom, and how no matter what, she never gave up on me. To anyone struggling like I did, not just with addiction but anything in life, I hope you guys can find peace in your struggles and know that anything can be overcome. I’ve been clean since that overdose and I owe that to finding my passion and being surrounded by the most loving people I could ever ask for.

Download / stream Take You Down HERE and view the visualizer HERE.

Fresh off a sold-out tour of Australia and New Zealand, Illenium will perform at Lollapalooza tomorrow, August 4. In addition to a full slate of festival performances, including Outside Lands, Bumbershoot, Electric Zoo, Lost Lands, Austin City Limits and EDC Orlando, he will play a sold-out headline show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO on August 29. See below for itinerary. Tickets are available at http://illenium.com/tour/.

Reviewing Illenium’s Coachella 2018 performance, Your EDM.com noted, “In the hour long set, Illenium played his heart out to tens of thousands of fans, some of whom were probably only at the festival to see him. Bringing out some deeper cuts as well as all of his newest music from Awake and Ashes, Illenium proceeded to take fans on an absolutely wild ride.

Illenium creates immersive emotional experiences, displaying an adeptness for crafting aural arrangements that vary in style, beauty, complexity and depth. With two full-length albums to his credit and sundry singles and remixes, he has surpassed the one billion stream mark across his discography.

His debut album, Ashes, was released to critical acclaim in early 2016. Awake followed in 2017 and hit #1 on in the iTunes Electronic Dance Charts in 12 countries. Named one of the 10 Best Dance/Electronic Albums of 2017 by Billboard, it included such singles as Feel Good (with Gryffin featuring Daya) and Crawl Outta Love. Praising the album as a gorgeous collection of future bass, piercing vocals, and barefaced lyrics, Dancing Astronaut said, While it might seem premature to call an album a masterpiece, no other title would fit Awake so well. Billboard observed, “The phoenix is Illenium ‘s mascot, and Awake is the emergent moment of that story.

Illenium’s Awake Live headline tour captivated audiences across the country, and sold out such renowned venues as The Shrine, Terminal 5, Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, Aragon Ballroom and Red Rocks. His remix of Flume’s Say It earned him an Electronic Music Award for Best Remix in 2017. Illenium’s recent collaborations include Don’t Give Up On Me with Kill The Noise ft. Mako and Gold (Stupid Love) with Excision ft. Shallows.
