Quinn XCII New Single "Backpack" Cover Art via U Music Group for use by 360 MAGAZINE

QUINN XCII – BACKPACK

Today, singer, songwriter, and producer Quinn XCII drops his new single “Backpack” on Republic Records—listen HERE. The end-of-summer anthem is accompanied by the tongue-in-cheek official video co-starring Yung GravyZach Sang, YouTuber Kevin Langue, and more out now—watch HERE.

On “Backpack,” Quinn XCII’s soulful high register rises with acoustic guitar before a head-nodding beat. With a little reggae and a lot of roots flare, he tells a different kind of coming-of-age story as he croons, “She pulled out a backpack with some drugs I never done before, but I still told her, ‘Pass that’. I only said it because I’m trying get lucky like a four-leaf clover.”

Quinn XCII says, “‘Backpack’ is a basic everyday term we throw around, but I’d never heard it in a song. I crafted this fictional story around the word. It’s about being with a girl and seeing she’s a lot cooler and more experienced than you are. It comes down to how you react to the situation. Do you put your pride aside and fake it until you make it, so to speak? I’ve been in situations like that. I decided to be an alter ego of myself, and I realized it’s not a healthy way of getting into a relationship.”

Backpack” sets the stage for new music to come this year from the Michigan artist. Prior to this release, Quinn XCII dropped his 2021 album Change of Scenery II, which debuted #1 on the Apple Pop Charts and Spotify’s US Debut Album Chart. His catalogue has amassed over 2.5 billion global streams to date and includes 1 RIAA Platinum and 6 RIAA Certified Gold Singles. Not to mention, he has sold out countless tours, including shows at the iconic Radio City Music Hall in New York City, The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, and many more.

ABOUT QUINN XCII
Quinn XCII (pronounced Quinn Ninety-Two) is the kind of person you root for. He’s a very grateful husband and an endlessly loyal friend. He goes through shitty days and good days (just like the rest of us do), but he writes about them both in his music without filter or pretense. Despite making it” (he hates that turn-of-phrase, by the way!), he doesn’t put himself on a pedestal whatsoever. Rather, he acts, speaks, and sings with the approachability of the guy who just gave you his spot in the checkout line or waited for the next elevator. Back in 2015, Quinn XCII emerged with a disarmingly catchy and dynamic personal style of his own punctuated by alternative nuances and unexpected (yet undeniable) pop prowess. He has earned successive Platinum singles, including “Kings of Summer” with ayokay, “Straightjacket,” and “Love Me Less” with MAX. In addition, he has a handful of Gold singles, including “Flare Guns” feat. Chelsea Cutler,Another Day In Paradise,” “Stacy,” and “Always Been You.” During 2021, his album Change of Scenery II captured #1 on the Apple Pop Chart and #1 on the Spotify US Debut Album Chart. Simultaneously, he ignited anthems alongside Logic, blackbear, Chelsea Cutler, Jeremy Zucker, Ashe, Louis The Child, Gryffin, Illenium, and more. Not to mention, he has sold out headline tours coast-to-coast, selling over 350,000 tickets as a headliner, and graced the stages of festivals such as Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Firefly, Governors Ball, Summerfest, and Electric Forest. Beyond applause from BillboardRolling StonePaper Magazine, and Interview Magazine, he lit up television shows, including Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Late Late Show with James CordenLive with Kelly and RyanThe Today Show, and more. Now, he kicks off his next chapter with his debut single for Republic Records, “Backpack.”

Carly Rae Jepsen New Album "The Loneliest Time" via Universal Music Group for use by 360 MAGAZINE

CARLY RAE JEPSEN – NEW ALBUM

Today, GRAMMY®-, Juno- and Polaris Prize-nominated singer/songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen announces the forthcoming release of her massively anticipated new album, The Loneliest Time. Due out on October 21 via 604/Schoolboy/Interscope Records, The Loneliest Time is now available for pre-order HERE.

Her most introspective body of work to date, The Loneliest Time expands on the emotionally potent songwriting and effervescent sound that Jepsen has showcased on past work like 2015’s critically lauded and culture-shaping E*MO*TION. In bringing her new album to life, Jepsen worked with collaborators Tavish Crowe, Rostam Batmanglij (who helmed production on The Loneliest Time’s acclaimed lead single “Western Wind”), BullionCaptain CutsJohn HillKyle Shearer, and Alex Hope among others.

A major creative milestone for Jepsen, E*MO*TION inspired in-depth analysis from cultural critics and landed on multiple year-end “best of” lists from the likes of Pitchfork, Stereogum, Noisey, NPR, and many more. Released in 2019, her follow-up album Dedicated covered even more musical ground. Working with a crew of trusted songwriters and producers (among them John Hill, Jack Antonoff, Captain Cuts, Patrik Berger, and Tavish Crowe), Jepsen indulged in more sonic experimentation than she had in the past. The Atlantic called the album “brilliant” with its “godlike bops.” She returned the following May with a gift for her fans: Dedicated Side B, a buoyant set of dance-floor tunes that affirmed her status as pop’s undefeatable ambassador of love.

Jepsen will give fans a taste of the new album when she hits the road next month on her The So Nice Tour.  The 23-date headline tour kicks off on September 24 in Montreal and includes stops at marquee venues like Radio City Music Hall in New York City and The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. Her first North American headline tour since 2019, The So Nice Tour will include support from Empress Of. Jepsen has partnered with PLUS1 so that $1 from every ticket sold will go to The Ally Coalition’s work to support homeless and at-risk LGBTQ youth. See below for the full list of tour dates, and purchase tickets HERE.

In addition to The So Nice Tour, Jepsen’s upcoming live dates include two co-headline shows with Bleachers (on September 21 in Cleveland and September 22 in Toronto), as well as an appearance at Austin City Limits Festival on October 7.

CHELSEA CUTLER × WALKING AWAY

Platinum Certified singer, songwriter, and producer Chelsea Cutler is back today with her new single, “Walking Away”—listen HERE!

Chelsea Cutler’s new song “Walking Away” hinges on lightly plucked guitar, as she accepts the end of a relationship and says goodbye once and for all through lyrics so personal, they could be a text message. Last year, she shared a short snippet of the track on Instagram, which fans lovingly dubbed the “Jeep Song.” After months of clamoring for its release, she finally delivers it today, and it marks the beginning of her highly anticipated sophomore album, set for release later this year.

Of the new song, Chelsea says, “‘Walking Away’ is about how intricate and complex a relationship can be, and it’s also about realizing you can’t keep holding on to something when it’s not right. This was actually the first song I wrote for the album, so it feels fitting to go forward into this next chapter with this single. I’m so excited to share everything with the world!”

Earlier this week, she shared with her fans on socials, “i spent a lot of time this past year daydreaming. for the first time in a few years, i was stationary. and i didn’t really know how to be stationary, or how to spend time alone with myself. so i closed my eyes a lot. i envisioned places i wanted to see and things i wanted to do. all of the daydreams and emotions i had eventually materialized into my second album, which i am proud to say is finished. i miss you guys, and i love knowing i get to share moments and feelings with you all again soon.”

“Walking Away” follows Chelsea’s critically acclaimed 2020 debut album, How To Be Human, 2021 brent ii EP with Jeremy Zucker, and a slew of widely praised collaborations over the past year, including “Stay Next To Me” with Quinn XCII, “Little Things” with Louis The Child and Quinn XCII, “Crying Over You” with The Band CAMINO, and “Crazier Things” with Noah Kahan. As Chelsea gears up to release her upcoming sophomore album, she will embark on the “Stay Next To Me Tour” with Quinn XCII this fall, which includes two sold out shows at New York’s iconic Radio City Music Hall on September 17th and 18th—see the full list of tour dates below. Tickets are on sale now at https://www.chelseacutler.com/. In addition to the “Stay Next To Me Tour,” Chelsea will perform a sold out show at Red Rock’s Amphitheatre on August 17th, alongside her fellow Mutual Friends artists, Quinn XCII, Jeremy Zucker, and ayokay.

Stay tuned for more new music to come from Chelsea Cutler this summer.

Leaving college shortly after, she hit the road alongside Quinn XCII at the top of 2018 before kicking off a prolific string of releases, including the independently released mixtapes Sleeping with Roses and Sleeping with Roses II, leading to two completely sold-out nationwide headline tours in 2018 and 2019 and appearances at Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and more. Signing to Republic Records in 2019, she uncovered undeniable chemistry with Jeremy Zucker on the collaborative brent EP, which spawned the platinum single “you were good to me.” Honing her style further, she unveiled her 2020 debut album, How To Be Human, featuring the breakout single “Sad Tonight.” Bringing the new music to fans across the country, she launched the sold-out “How To Be Human Tour” in early 2020, highlighted by two consecutive sellouts at Terminal 5 in New York City. In 2021, she reteamed with Zucker on the brent ii EP and notched another fan favorite anthem with “this is how you fall in love.” Along the way, the likes of Quinn XCII, Louis The Child, The Band CAMINO, and Noah Kahan all teamed up with her for collaborations. ABOUT TREY ANASTASIO

Over the past three decades, composer/guitarist/vocalist Trey Anastasio has forged a multi-faceted career, winning acclaim in rock, classical and theatrical circles. He is a founding member of Phish, one of today’s most successful and innovative rock bands. In the summer of 2017, Phish completed a residency at the world-renowned Madison Square Garden in New York – an unprecedented 13-night run known as The Baker’s Dozen. Phish’s total number of performances at the famed arena currently sits at 64.

Anastasio has received GRAMMY® nominations for his recordings with Phish and for his solo work. He has collaborated with such artists as Dave Matthews, Herbie Hancock, Carlos Santana, Toots and the Maytals, B.B. King and The Roots, and – as part of the trio Oysterhead – Les Claypool (Primus) and Stewart Copeland (The Police). He co-wrote the music for the Broadway musical Hands on a Hardbody, which received a Tony nomination for Best Original Score in 2013. In the summer of 2015, Anastasio joined the surviving four members of the Grateful Dead for five stadium shows, which celebrated the band’s 50th anniversary and served as their farewell shows.

Anastasio has performed his original compositions with numerous symphonies. The New York Times hailed his Carnegie Hall performance with the New York Philharmonic as “that rarest of rarities, a classical-rock hybrid that might please partisans from both constituencies.” In 2014, he debuted a new piece for guitar and orchestra, entitled Petrichor, on a West Coast orchestral tour that concluded with a performance at the Hollywood Bowl, marking his second performance with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. In April 2019, Anastasio released his 14th solo album, Ghosts of the Forest, which Rolling Stone said was “built around psychedelic guitar liftoffs, ambitious arrangements, and extremely personal lyrics.” Between Me and My Mind, a film documenting Trey’s creative process debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival and played a sold-out limited-run engagement in theaters this past summer.

Choir! Choir! Choir! Unite Singers at U.S.–Mexico Border

Choir! Choir! Choir!, led by Canadian artists Nobu Adilman and Daveed Goldman, forms impromptu choirs of strangers to learn songs and perform a concert together. The duo takes a non-traditional approach; there are no auditions, and the audience is the choir. “Choir! Choir! Choir! has fashioned a profound way for people to connect and interact” (New Yorker) and their ArtPower at UC San Diego performance on Sunday, October 13, at 3 p.m. will unite singers from both sides of the US–Mexico border to sing and celebrate the unique friendship, culture, and community we share in the border region of San Diego and Tijuana. There are few places on earth so scenic where you can gather people from two countries at once to create beautiful music together and share in how special it is to be in this particular place in the world.

While we will be divided by the physical border, music knows no boundaries and our voices together will transcend barriers. “When you sing with others, you become bonded in ways that strengthen yourself and expand your sense of community. The opportunity to experience this with the people of San Diego and Tijuana, across borders and languages, is very exciting. We can’t wait!” says Nobu Adilman of Choir! Choir! Choir! Leveraging music as a global language that everyone can connect to, Choir! Choir! Choir!, along with ArtPower, looks deeper at how communities collaborate and interact.

“The event shows that the arts can overcome obstacles that separates us and resonate with the harmonies which connect us all,” added ArtPower Executive Director Jordan Peimer. Founded in 2011, Choir! Choir! Choir! has amassed a dedicated and passionate community of singers and a thriving international fan base on YouTube. The group has performed with renowned artists such as Patti Smith, Tegan and Sara, David Byrne, Rick Astley, and Rufus Wainwright, and onstage at New York’s Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall with the likes of Debbie Harry and The Flaming Lips.

Choir! Choir! Choir! exists to celebrate music and push the boundaries between practice and  performance, artist and audience, offering therapeutic benefits with the ultimate side effect: a powerful community. This concert is an ArtPower Special Event. This event is free and open to the public. Advanced registration is encouraged and can be reserved through Eventbrite. More information can be found at here.

TV On The Radio

“For various reasons this record means a LOT to us and we’re thrilled have a chance to play it in its entirety, in New York, nonetheless. I’d say it’s gonna be a special night.” -Tunde Adebimpe

Yesterday, TV On The Radio announced a concert to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their groundbreaking album “Dear Science” to be performed on September 20, 2018, at Knockdown Center in New York. The band will play the album in its entirety. Tickets may be purchase HERE.

TV on the Radio has been called “the most vital band in America” (Associated Press), “one the most compelling rock and roll stories of the modern age” (BBC), “the most innovative band on the planet” (AV Club) and simply “superb” (Rolling Stone). In short, TV on the Radio established themselves as the most groundbreaking musicians of this generation and one of the most influential bands of the decade.

The band’s 2008 album Dear Science was voted #1 by fans in Pitchfork’s Reader’s Poll and the #1 album in the Village Voice’s Pazz and Jop poll (composed of reviews by more than 800 critics). TV on the Radio consistently confounds expectations while managing to balance respect from critics and peers alike.

Praise for DEAR SCIENCE:

“TV On the Radio’s third album proper, managed to pull off something rather special: it boldly took guitars where no album had gone before. And it did so with more creativity, daring and flair than any record since Radiohead’s OK Computer.” -The Guardian

“Dear Science is a brilliant balancing act between pop aspiration and music-geek aesthetics.” -Rolling Stone

“On ‘Dear Science,’TVOTR embraces emotions of the here and now — lust, anger, the dancer’s bliss.” -Ann Powers Los Angeles Times

“Career-defining stuff.” -The Guardian

“Yes, this is shit-hot thrilling music. But it’s also brainy and ambivalent, and more engaging for it.” -Pitchfork

“TV on the Radio traded its noisiness for clarity, the better to reveal the workings of its ambitious, multilayered songs: programming and hands-on playing, rock and funk, elegies and dance grooves, accusations and embraces. Each song follows its own idiosyncratic path from mourning to affirmation.” – New York Times
