“QUE TRISTE” by PISO 21 & CARÍN LEÓN

Piso 21 releases new single ”QUE TRISTE” with Carín León. The Colombian supergroup gears up to perform at the 2022 Latin Billboard Awards on September 29

“QUE TRISTE” Available HERE

One of the Latin music industry’s most prolific and versatile groups, Piso 21, unites with regional Mexican singer and songwriter, Carín León, for the release of their latest song, “Que Triste”. The song and its official music video are available to stream on all digital platforms today.

Intentionally crafted to create the perfect fusion between two very different worlds of music, this newest hit pushes past creative barriers as Piso 21 makes a meticulous decision to produce something that further solidifies their versatility as artists. A play of references, the meaning of “Que Triste” is evident in its ties to its melancholic and wistful melodies over a slower tempo. Molded perfectly to highlight the essence of all of the artists, Piso 21’s dynamic and multifaceted vocals intertwine seamlessly with Carín León’s rhythmic and signature vocalization as they weave a story of the sadness that comes with not being valued by their female protagonists as she walks out of their lives.

In the video, directed by Juan Felipe Zuleta, we find ourselves on an intimate journey as the main protagonist, Manu Fajardo, embodies the raw and heartfelt emotions brought forth by “Que Triste” through an emotional and isolated performance. The video sees Piso 21 and Carín León perform their verses throughout a series of snippets, effortlessly capturing the essence and story behind the song.

The debut of “Que Triste” comes at an exciting time for Piso 21 as they get ready to take the stage at the 2022 Latin Billboard Awards. The supergroup was also nominated at this year’s Latin Billboard Awards under the “Latin Rhythm Artist of the Year, Duo or Group” category. The ceremony will be broadcast live from the Watsco Center in Miami, FL on Thursday, September 29 at 7pm EST on Telemundo.

“Que Triste” follows in the footsteps of their current hit, “Los Cachos,” alongside Manuel Turizo. “Los Cachos” sees Piso 21 and Turizo join forces again for the first time since their 2018 classic, “Dejala Que Vuelva,” which remains a career-defining hit single for both artists. To date, “Los Cachos” has garnered over 60 million combined streams and over 24 million views on YouTube.

Piso 21 has continuously delivered hit after hit this year – after the release of their multi-platinum 2021 album, El Amor En Los Tiempos Del Perreo, they have released a steady stream of singles and features with Blessd, Ovy On The Drums, Santa Fe Klan, Dimelo Flow, Boza, Mau y Ricky, Prince Royce, Gerardo Ortiz, Khea, amongst others. Currently, Piso 21 is on the road touring internationally through LATAM and beyond as they gear up for the highly anticipated release of their album, “777.”

Purple Disco Machine × Sophie and the Giants – In The Dark

Purple Disco Machine and Sophie and the Giants team up one again for their disco-tech single “In The Dark,” via Casablanca Records. Listen to the brand-new single HERE and watch the music video HERE.

Purple Disco Machine’s “Exotica Deluxe” album releases on Friday, March 4, 2022 – pre-order HERE.

A collaboration between Purple Disco Machine and Sophie’s is a recipe for pure perfection; the combination of funky production with supernatural melody and vocals can’t be matched. Their past partnership on the song “Hypnotized” reached over 350 million streams, gained a variety of Platinum certifications across Europe and hit #9 on the Global Shazam Charts. The track, too, was prosperous in Italy, where it went platinum 5 x. The success of the single led to the duo’s performance at the Power Hits Estate 2020 live from Verona Stadium.

The partnership between both artists produces another captivating, upbeat hit. The melody of the track produces a transcendent, modern aura, which is contrasted against the emotional lyrics of the song. The story that “In The Dark” produces through its lyricism and melody is one that a lot of young individuals could relate to modern day. The song proclaims the message of falling for someone they know they shouldn’t, but nonetheless, the heart wants what the heart wants. The delicate, exquisite vocals paired with deep lyricism makes for an incredible track. Sophie sings, “Pulled me in with your words so sweet, every time I ignored the sign, redemption’s mine on the day I leave, fallin’ for you was my only crime.”

In The Dark” comes after a rather prosperous period of time for Purple Disco Machine, following the issue of the producer’s sophomore album “Exotica,” and the dancefloor complement “Club Exotica.” The inspiration for the studio album stemmed from pop culture and artists of the 80s. The project includes 14 tracks with international phenomena “Hypnotized” with Sophie and the Giants, “Fireworks” feat. Moss Kena & The Knocks, and “Dopamine” feat. Eyelar. The album, to date, collects over 500 million streams.

Purple Disco Machine ranks as the #2 Beatport Artist of All Time, the impact that he has had on the disco/ dance industry is unmatched. Purple Disco Machine has remixed artists such as Dua Lipa, Calvin Harris, Sir Elton John, Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande, Diplo and so many more. Accumulating over 1 billion streams across all his works, he has made his mark and stamped his place in the world of disco production.

Felix Jaehn – Breathe

Esteemed German producer Felix Jaehn finally returns with the release of his second studio album, Breathe. The 15-track LP follows a string of lead singles: ‘Close Your Eyes’ ft, Miss Li, ‘I Got A Feeling’ with Robin Schulz and Georgia Ku, ‘No Therapy’ ft. Bryn & Nea, ‘One More TIme’ with Robin Schulz and Alida, and more. Arriving after Felix Jaehn’s personal journey with transformation and self-discovery, Breathe delivers dance music with a message, with each song telling a unique story that builds on the other.

After achieving almost everything an artist can dream of at such a young age, Felix Jaehn found himself at an impasse. “I got it into my head that I wanted to be a DJ and a producer. I don’t want to have a normal office job, but make my dream come true every day in my life. And after all that was fulfilled, I needed something new,” the talent explains. With some time to think about his destiny, Felix embarked on his “transformation and self-discovery phase,” leading to him spending time in a mindfulness retreat in a monastery. It was during this time that the producer reached the epiphany that his music could move and touch people — it can be life-affirming. And so Breathe was born. The album serves almost as an autobiography of the German producer’s time after self-discovery and his post-transformation, conveying that it’s OK to let go, stand by yourself, and have ups & downs in life.

Breathe is a culmination of the style that Felix Jaehn is known for while delivering a more personal touch with songs that are lyrically and melodically connected. Featuring 11 previously released tracks and new releases such as the inspirational and high-energy offering, ‘Old Me,’ feel-good hit ‘Somebody You Like,’ and sonically enticing ‘Automatic’ ft. Jon Edyen, Breathe shares hope and happiness to listeners throughout the entirety of its run-time. 360 Magazine is excited to listen to this new song which is an international artist.

The album’s title track, ’Breathe,’ is in itself an example of how anything can persevere, given that it almost didn’t make it onto the album. Felix recounts, “When we wanted to finish the song later, we found that Miss Li’s vocal files had been accidentally deleted. We tried to re-record the part again, but it was impossible to recreate that moment. The song just is a snapshot. I then decided that we would take the first demo version and put it on the album. That was just a magical moment for me”. Despite being the first demo version, the impressive track primes listeners for the journey ahead of them, driven by Miss Li’s emotive vocals and Felix’s impressive sound design. The track is all-encompassing of what the album is all about.

I had a note on my phone for years that said, “BREATHE, INHALE, LET GO.Breathing in, building tension, especially before shows, and then breathing out, letting go, I think that’s totally important because you can influence the complete flow of energy in your body with your breathing.” – Felix Jaehn

Closing off the end of his personal journey through self-discovery and finding happiness, Breathe delivers life-affirming danceable music with personal, emotional, and authentic messages. With his album, Felix Jaehn spreads positive vibes, happiness, and a good mood. The LP positions the German talent as a leader that is ready to take over the world of electronic music with an optimistic outlook, showing fans that it’s okay to be down sometimes because the party goes on and will be better than ever before.

Kay Young – New EP

Today, London based artist, rapper and producer Kay Young releases her new EP This Here Feels Good via Play It Again Sam. The EP was written, performed, produced, and recorded by Kay in London during 2020-2021 and includes two never before heard tracks No Regrets and Wait For Me.

Listen to This Here Feels Good

This Here Feels Good is the sound of an artist using music as their second language. Kay moves between tightly rapped verses, glorious vocal performances, often within the space of one track as well as across the whole EP. Wait For Me pays homage to the London jazz scene and adds a playful touch to a project already brimming with joy, while previously released tracks “Suddenly” and “I’ve Got You” provide euphoric uplift, and Kay shows her skill as a deft lyricist on White Teeth.

The release is a stunning collection of songs that expands upon the sonic blueprint Kay has already laid out, that caught the attention of Jay Electronica and Jay-Z who later signed her to Roc Nation. She delves deeper into dance and soul while continuing to explore themes of familial legacy and cultural relation, keeping a perfect balance between lyrical vulnerability and musical uplift.

Speaking on the EP Kay says:

Creating this EP during lockdown kept me sane. I simply got lost in it because it felt good and I felt safe regardless of what was going on outside my bedroom studio. I dug deep and gave it my all!

JUNE3RD – JEMENI

JUNE3RD UNLEASHES EAGERLY AWAITED DEBUT ALBUM JEMENI

ALBUM FEATURING RICK ROSS AND FRIDAYY

‘JEMENI’ AVAILABLE EVERYWHERE TODAY HERE

JEMENI came together originally from my name being June3rd and everyone assuming that it’s my birthday and that I’m an actual Gemini. Then from there, JEMENI became much more than a title. It became a character and symbolic of a different side/personality of me. We all have those different sides to us. Throughout the album, you’ll hear a roller coaster of different emotions and mindsets that change throughout me being young and figuring out life and what I want out of it,” June shares.

June3rd’s music is a collection of luxuriously smooth, suave, and spirited pop rhythms. The Florida-born, Los Angeles-based rapper explores the world around him through his unfiltered rhymes, dexterous harmonies, and haunting hooks. His timbre makes for flawless vocals that don’t require autotune. Never off pitch or out of range, June3rd delivers powerful performances with perfect pitch. The R&B virtuoso shows off his passionate pipes in every track, never letting his vocals falter from maintaining the perfect mid-tempo. Today, he releases his eagerly anticipated album, JEMENI.

One of the young musician’s most recent, highly-anticipated releases, “Ruff Ryder” was produced in collaboration with Fridayy. The hazy combination of genre-bending soundscapes shows off June3rd’s ability to fluidly deliver complex bars with prodigal proficiency. “Ruff Ryder” reflects the intricacy of navigating relationships, making for a release that is especially resonant with many of the R&B artist’s fans.

Possessing elements from the “sad rap” genre, which has massively grown in popularity lately, June3rd’s tracks intertwine an innovative intermeshing of R&B and lo-fi. While some of his mellifluous melodies sound like sad rap from afar, his lyrical content does not reflect the nihilism inherent to the genre. While June3rd’s songs may be short, every punchy track packs in major power.

June3rd’s music stands out with his well-rounded, concise releases that are sure to be remembered for long to come. Each track is short and sweet, but certainly not understated or rushed. June3rd never disturbs his music with an unnecessary bridge, pre-chorus or auto-tuned adjustments–his music simply stands as an authentic reflection of his craft and musical artistry.

From a technical understanding of music, June3rd’s releases are simple and easy to understand operatically. However, the complexity of this artist’s dynamic vocal range and intricate vocals encourages fans to play June3rd on repeat. His poignant beats, combined with his striking vocals, produces melodious masterpieces. If you’re seeking music to relax your spirits, elevate your atmosphere or add to your newest Spotify playlist, you need to check out June3rd. The rapper’s infectious hits such as “1942”, “Wait 4 It”, and “POV” are sure to be your favorite new summer anthems!

ANNOUNCING HVS CONSERVATORY

A New Post-Secondary School for Vocalists

In DTLA’s Historic Garland Building

A NEW KIND OF VOCAL EDUCATION

PREPARES THE NEXT GENERATION OF ARTISTS

FOR A CAREER IN LOS ANGELES’ COMPETITIVE MUSIC INDUSTRY http://hvsconservatory.com

Auditions will be held this fall for February 2022 enrollment.

HVS Conservatory: Where today’s students become tomorrow’s stars.

Hollywood Vocal Studios and Adreana Gonzalez are proud to announce the founding of Hollywood Vocal Studios (HVS) Conservatory—a post-secondary school for aspiring professional vocalists—located in Los Angeles’ historic Garland Building.

HVS Conservatory seeks to fill a major gap in modern music education. There are a number of music schools across the East Coast that cater to classical techniques and musical theater performance, but none are dedicated to the modern solo vocalist. Singers interested in honing their skills in the competitive recording industry currently have no blueprint to success, nor opportunities for group mentorship and instruction. HVS Conservatory aims to fill these gaps and has partnered with a number of esteemed recording industry professionals to bring world-class music education to the epicenter of the business—Los Angeles, CA.

HVS Conservatory students will be taught, mentored, and critiqued by a who’s-who of prominent music industry professionals dedicated to helping develop and nurture young voices. Utilizing the preferred vocal technique of luminaries like Quincy Jones and Michael Jackson, the HVS Conservatory faculty will combine their cutting-edge technical knowledge with years of real-world experience in order to help young artists develop both strength and savvy. Jeffrey Skouson is one of the industry’s preeminent vocal coaches and founder of the Institute of Vocal Advancement and will be heading the vocal department. Skouson counts Imagine Dragons, The Killers, and Panic! At The Disco among his regular clientele. Director of Performance Ron Harris is a renowned producer, coach, and A&R rep, who has helped shape the careers of stars like Fergie, Christina Aguilera, and Grammy-winning producer Trevorious (Lizzo’s Cuz I Love You).

“The modern music industry is a challenging business to navigate, HVS Conservatory will be the place to learn not only how to navigate it… but how to do so successfully.” Founder Adreana Gonzalez goes on, “It’s time Los Angeles gives as much in education to its rising leaders, as it does to the stage of entertainment and we’re so happy to lead the way.”

HVS Conservatory was founded by Adreana Gonzalez—an esteemed and multitalented professional, who has spent the past two decades working with professional vocalists. She is a fixture of the Hollywood scene and counts a wide range of industry insiders as friends and colleagues. She has worked with celebrities like Will Ferrell, Jessie Reyez, Graham Patrick Martin, Lexi Ainsworth, and many more. Now, she hopes to take the knowledge and experience she gained both as a performer and teacher, and use it to help inform the futures of the world’s top vocal talents.

Visit the HVS Conservatory website for more information.

Written By Wolves × Trenton Woodley – Better Luck Next Time

The new single takes a tongue-in-cheek look at one of the only inevitable facts of life: no matter what we do, no one gets out alive. Woodley not only contributed vocals, but also co-produced/mixed the track and starred in the corresponding music video directed by Written By Wolves guitarist, Bahador Borhani.

“Better Luck Next Time” is the second single from Written By Wolves’ upcoming EP, The Collab Project, due out on September 17 (self-release). In addition to Woodley, Kellin Quinn (Sleeping With Sirens), Sonny Sandoval (P.O.D.) and others have collaborated on tracks for the EP.

Written By Wolves vocalist Michael Murphy shares, “The Collab Project is an on-going initiative to try and spread awareness, and to remind our fans and our followers, that no matter what they are going through, no matter what mental health struggles or demons they are going through right now, they don’t have to do it alone and they don’t have to deal with it on their own.” He adds, “The aim is to help normalize talking about our mental health issues and to help to breakdown the stigma attached to mental health.” Watch the band’s video explanation of The Collab Project here.

Written By Wolves are a fresh and progressive cinematic rock band and one of the most exciting new rock acts to come from New Zealand in recent years. Renowned for their highly energetic live show, the band have already shared the stage with international heavyweights such as Machine Gun Kelly, Limp Bizkit, Pendulum, Sublime With Rome, Suicidal Tendencies, We The Kings and Four Year Strong, to name just a few. ABOUT TREY ANASTASIO

Over the past three decades, composer/guitarist/vocalist Trey Anastasio has forged a multi-faceted career, winning acclaim in rock, classical and theatrical circles. He is a founding member of Phish, one of today’s most successful and innovative rock bands. In the summer of 2017, Phish completed a residency at the world-renowned Madison Square Garden in New York – an unprecedented 13-night run known as The Baker’s Dozen. Phish’s total number of performances at the famed arena currently sits at 64.

Anastasio has received GRAMMY® nominations for his recordings with Phish and for his solo work. He has collaborated with such artists as Dave Matthews, Herbie Hancock, Carlos Santana, Toots and the Maytals, B.B. King and The Roots, and – as part of the trio Oysterhead – Les Claypool (Primus) and Stewart Copeland (The Police). He co-wrote the music for the Broadway musical Hands on a Hardbody, which received a Tony nomination for Best Original Score in 2013. In the summer of 2015, Anastasio joined the surviving four members of the Grateful Dead for five stadium shows, which celebrated the band’s 50th anniversary and served as their farewell shows.

Anastasio has performed his original compositions with numerous symphonies. The New York Times hailed his Carnegie Hall performance with the New York Philharmonic as “that rarest of rarities, a classical-rock hybrid that might please partisans from both constituencies.” In 2014, he debuted a new piece for guitar and orchestra, entitled Petrichor, on a West Coast orchestral tour that concluded with a performance at the Hollywood Bowl, marking his second performance with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. In April 2019, Anastasio released his 14th solo album, Ghosts of the Forest, which Rolling Stone said was “built around psychedelic guitar liftoffs, ambitious arrangements, and extremely personal lyrics.” Between Me and My Mind, a film documenting Trey’s creative process debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival and played a sold-out limited-run engagement in theaters this past summer.

Mary McGuinness "Gonna Feel It Again" cover from Mackenzie Breeden, Jay Wilson, for use by 360 Magazine

Mary McGuinness New Single – Gonna Feel It Again

Today singer/songwriter Mary McGuinness released a new song titled, “Gonna Feel It Again” accompanied by a visualizer. Press here to watch. When McGuinness sings that “better days are coming” in “Gonna Feel It Again,” the first post-pandemic track among five new songs she plans on releasing through the end of the year, her soaring vocals cut straight to the heart, assuring us everything is going to be alright.

After releasing her album Prodigal last year (press here to listen) followed by stand-alone covers of Kenny Rogers’ “The Gambler” and Bread’s “If” (press here to listen to both) when the lockdown hit, McGuiness returned to the studio, this time with producer Joel Shearer (Dido, Annie Lennox, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, Joe Cocker, Damien Rice, Michael Buble, Sarah McLachlan).

“Singing and songwriting is very healing for me,” McGuinness says. “I don’t know if I’d be here without music. Thankfully, I’ve always had that to keep me somewhat on the rails.”

McGuinness’ voice is a force of nature, at once combining Joni Mitchell’s multi-octave range, the warmth and heart of Karen Carpenter and the earthy purity of Emmylou Harris. Her vocals and music have been praised on DittyTV, The Bluegrass Situation, and Americana Highways which said, “an exhilarating vocal – sprung from and old-word seed.”

Born in Fort Hood, TX, to an Irish-Scottish Green Beret Father, and Korean Mother, McGuinness spent time in Korea and Texas, surviving a harrowing childhood, and grew up with her Grandparents in Long Island, NY. A high school music teacher took McGuinness under her wing and encouraged her to pursue singing. She studied classical voice at the prestigious Manhattan School of Music – which she put herself through with commercials, waitressing, and a stint on Broadway.

McGuinness has toured through the US and supported the likes of Train, Kenny Loggins, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Shawn Colvin, Counting Crows, and Gavin DeGraw. She has written chart topping singles on Billboard and released four studio albums under another project.

These upcoming new songs shine a light on her influences, everyone from The Eagles, Bill Withers, Fleetwood Mac, and Linda Ronstadt to Cat Stevens, Willie Nelson and The Beatles. Her eclectic musical tastes show in her cover material, which can range from Peter Gabriel (“Washing of the Water”) – (Press here to watch the video directed by McGuinness herself) to Kris Kristofferson (“Please Don’t Tell Me How the Story Ends”).

““Gonna Feel It Again” is what I told myself during the lockdown,” she says. “I just kept reminding myself, life is a cycle. Sometimes you have to push through the dark times, to get to the light on the other side. The good times always come back around. It’s how we choose to look through the lens, always looking for the beauty in the people and world around us. I did a lot of soul searching and introspection over the past year like a lot of people. I feel like I grew a great deal. And I’m really grateful for the positive things that came out of this time.”

Mary McGuinness’ music and songs being at the top of that list.
