JEREMY ZUCKER – HONEST

JEREMY ZUCKER RELEASES NEW SINGLE “HONEST,” “MORE NOISE !!!!” FALL 2021 NORTH AMERICAN TOUR ON SALE NOW

Platinum-Certified singer, songwriter, and producer Jeremy Zucker drops his new single “HONEST.” The song is the second single from his highly anticipated sophomore album, out later this year.

As acoustic guitar strums alongside singsongy percussion, Jeremy laments a relationship on the brink. His voice rings out on the observation, “I was so sentimental, and you came for my head, we were both on the brink, I was holding my breath,” before finally pleading, “Just be honest with me babe. The song’s organic instrumentation matches Jeremy’s open-hearted delivery and illuminates yet another side of his songwriting and artistry, as he continues to evolve with no shortage of emotion or intuition.

Jeremy says, “‘HONEST’ is one of my favorite songs i’ve ever written thus far, and i’m so excited to finally share it with everyone. It’s about someone I used to date who turned out to be a pathological liar. the realization that I was being lied to and manipulated by someone I sincerely trusted hit me like a brick wall.”

HONEST” arrives hot on the heels of Jeremy’s recent announcement of his Fall 2021 “MORE NOISE !!!!” North American Tour. The tour kicks off on October 19 in Portland, OR and runs through the end of November, making stops at Los Angeles’ The Novo on October 27, New York’s Terminal 5 on November 18, and more – see the full list of tour dates below. Tickets are on sale now here. Last month, Jeremy released his summertime anthem “18,” which was co-written and co-produced with friends and fellow artists, Quinn XCII and ayokay, and praised by Billboard, Ones To Watch, Variance Magazine, and more.

Earlier this year, Jeremy teamed up once again with Chelsea Cutler for the brent ii EP. It served as a sequel to their 2019 breakthrough EP, brent, and Platinum-Certified single “you were good to me.” The EP received widespread critical and fan praise, as Jeremy and Chelsea performed singles, “this is how you fall in love” and “emily,” on TODAY and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’s #PlayAtHome series, respectively. Jeremy released his critically acclaimed debut album, love is not dying, last year.

Stay tuned for more music and announcements to come from Jeremy Zucker this summer.

ABOUT JEREMY ZUCKER

Jeremy Zucker’s music unfolds like the kinds of stories you share with your best friends. It’s that intimate, detailed, personal, and meaningful. This approach has cemented the New Jersey-born singer, songwriter, and producer as a quietly impactful voice for Gen Z—and beyond. Since emerging in 2015, he has amassed a staggering 5.3 billion global streams and sold 3 million albums. His catalog consists of definitive anthems, such as the Gold-Certified records “talk is overrated” feat. blackbear and “all the kids are depressed” and Platinum-Certified records “you were good to me” with Chelsea Cutler and the breakout “comethru,” which The FADER hailed as “the intoxicating crush anthem that’s become his calling card.” He has teamed up with likeminded visionary Chelsea Cutler for the collaborative EPs—brent [2019] and brent ii [2021]. His full-length debut, love is not dying, bowed in the Top 25 of the Billboard Top Album Sales Chart and garnered widespread praise. office magazine raved, “the 13-track album reiterates Zucker’s penchant for honest reflections through sincere lyricism,” while Wonderland won’t blame you for “deciding to stan immediately.” Not to mention, he’s received further acclaim from The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Billboard, PAPER Magazine, and more. In 2021, he’s set to release his anxiously awaited second full-length album, introduced by the soundtrack-worthy single “18.”

Written By Wolves × Trenton Woodley – Better Luck Next Time

New Zealand’s highest streaming rock band, Written By Wolves, have recruited Trenton Woodley of Hands Like Houses for a reimagined version of “Better Luck Next Time.” Stream here.

The new single takes a tongue-in-cheek look at one of the only inevitable facts of life: no matter what we do, no one gets out alive. Woodley not only contributed vocals, but also co-produced/mixed the track and starred in the corresponding music video directed by Written By Wolves guitarist, Bahador Borhani.

“Better Luck Next Time” is the second single from Written By Wolves’ upcoming EP, The Collab Project, due out on September 17 (self-release). The 5-track EP is a collection of re-imagined collaborations of tracks from their debut album Secrets, released in late 2019. In addition to Woodley, Kellin Quinn (Sleeping With Sirens), Sonny Sandoval (P.O.D.) and others have collaborated on tracks for the EP.

Written By Wolves vocalist Michael Murphy shares, “The Collab Project is an on-going initiative to try and spread awareness, and to remind our fans and our followers, that no matter what they are going through, no matter what mental health struggles or demons they are going through right now, they don’t have to do it alone and they don’t have to deal with it on their own.” He adds, “The aim is to help normalize talking about our mental health issues and to help to breakdown the stigma attached to mental health.” Watch the band’s video explanation of The Collab Project here.

Written By Wolves are a fresh and progressive cinematic rock band and one of the most exciting new rock acts to come from New Zealand in recent years. Renowned for their highly energetic live show, the band have already shared the stage with international heavyweights such as Machine Gun Kelly, Limp Bizkit, Pendulum, Sublime With Rome, Suicidal Tendencies, We The Kings and Four Year Strong, to name just a few. Since forming in 2014, the band has amassed over 310,000 monthly listeners and more than 36 million streams on Spotify, as well as over 100,000 subscribers and 46 millions views on YouTube.

ABOUT TREY ANASTASIO

Over the past three decades, composer/guitarist/vocalist Trey Anastasio has forged a multi-faceted career, winning acclaim in rock, classical and theatrical circles. He is a founding member of Phish, one of today’s most successful and innovative rock bands. In the summer of 2017, Phish completed a residency at the world-renowned Madison Square Garden in New York – an unprecedented 13-night run known as The Baker’s Dozen. Phish’s total number of performances at the famed arena currently sits at 64.

Anastasio has received GRAMMY® nominations for his recordings with Phish and for his solo work. He has collaborated with such artists as Dave Matthews, Herbie Hancock, Carlos Santana, Toots and the Maytals, B.B. King and The Roots, and – as part of the trio Oysterhead – Les Claypool (Primus) and Stewart Copeland (The Police). He co-wrote the music for the Broadway musical Hands on a Hardbody, which received a Tony nomination for Best Original Score in 2013. In the summer of 2015, Anastasio joined the surviving four members of the Grateful Dead for five stadium shows, which celebrated the band’s 50th anniversary and served as their farewell shows.

Anastasio has performed his original compositions with numerous symphonies. The New York Times hailed his Carnegie Hall performance with the New York Philharmonic as “that rarest of rarities, a classical-rock hybrid that might please partisans from both constituencies.” In 2014, he debuted a new piece for guitar and orchestra, entitled Petrichor, on a West Coast orchestral tour that concluded with a performance at the Hollywood Bowl, marking his second performance with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. In April 2019, Anastasio released his 14th solo album, Ghosts of the Forest, which Rolling Stone said was “built around psychedelic guitar liftoffs, ambitious arrangements, and extremely personal lyrics.” Between Me and My Mind, a film documenting Trey’s creative process debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival and played a sold-out limited-run engagement in theaters this past summer.

Eric Clapton × Pedrito Martinez – My Father’s Eyes

Today sees widely respected Latin percussionist Pedrito Martinez release a reimagined duet version of Eric Clapton’s My Father’s Eyes” – featuring a collaborative performance with the guitar legend himself. Having the opportunity to work closely with Eric Clapton is the fulfillment of a longtime dream for Pedrito that had its roots at New York City’s Guantanamera restaurant, where Pedrito’s group got started, and where Eric was a frequent guest.

Inspired by getting to know one another, Pedrito had the idea in early 2019 to put together a re-imagined version of Clapton’s deeply personal song “My Father’s Eyes” and send it to the three-time inducted Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member for his thoughts. . Upon receiving the initial recording, Eric Clapton invited the innovative Cuban percussionist to London last year to work together , where he added his own vocals and guitar to My Father’s Eyes and additional guitar contributions to two more tracks that will also be included in Pedrito’s upcoming album, Acertijos, expected to be released in early 2021.

“Pedrito is a genius…working with him has been a revelation to me.” – Wynton Marsalis

“…dizzying rhythmic webs, songs within songs, and the thrill of real Cuban rumba transformed into something as hip and irresistible as great pop.” – Larry Blumenfeld, Wall Street Journal

Sheila E. MasterClass

MasterClass, the streaming platform that makes it possible for anyone to learn from the best, today announced that Emmy and Grammy nominated Queen of Percussion, Sheila E. will teach its first class on drumming and percussion. Through a series of dynamic lessons, Sheila E. will help members find their rhythm, explore the fundamentals of percussion and drumming and share intimate stories and career advice for aspiring musicians. The class is now available at MasterClass, and members can subscribe for unlimited access to all new and existing 85+ classes through the All-Access Pass. MasterClass categories include business, culinary arts, film & television, music & entertainment, photography, sports and more.

“Sheila E. is a musical pioneer,” said David Rogier, co-founder and CEO of MasterClass. “Her MasterClass is a rare opportunity for members to learn drumming and percussion from a legend-and you don’t even need a drum set to get started. Sheila E. is nothing short of inspiring and magical.”

Sheila Escovedo, best known to music fans as Sheila E., first picked up drumsticks and started making music at the age of three. Inspired by her percussionist father, she delivered her first solo performance to a live audience only two years later and has since established herself as one of the most talented percussionists in the world. By the age of 20, Sheila was already a top session and touring musician, performing with some of the industry’s biggest names such as Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Lionel Richie, and Stevie Nicks. In the 1980s, her undeniable talent and hits like “The Glamorous Life” and “A Love Bizarre” led to her international fame. Sheila E.’s producing, arranging and performance talents have been showcased in the music industry through numerous Grammy nominations and performances with the likes of Beyoncé, Hans Zimmer, Jennifer Lopez and Pharrell Williams. Away from the spotlight, she co-founded the Elevate Hope Foundation, which helps young people heal from trauma or neglect through music and art. Sheila E. continues to produce and perform music across the globe and her most recent album, Iconic: Message 4 America, pays tribute to songs that have defined movements fighting for justice and peace.

“I am honored to be the first-ever drummer for MasterClass,” said Sheila E. “When you know what your passion is and what your purpose is, no one and nothing can stand in your way. In my MasterClass, I will share my passion and teach members the fundamentals of percussion, drumming and hopefully, inspire them to make their own music.”

Sheila E.’s MasterClass will take members on a musical journey through her dynamic world of rhythm, percussion, and drumming. Rooted in the belief that anyone can learn to drum, she will demonstrate how to find rhythm by moving, clapping, and using household items like pots and pans. Not only will Sheila E. bring the foundational techniques of drumming to life, but she’ll also teach you how to play some of her most beloved instruments, including the congas and timbales, with help from her father, renowned percussionist Pete Escovedo, and her brothers, Peter Michael and Juan. Sheila E. will share intimate stories and insight from her experiences capturing the spotlight on stage alongside some of the world’s greatest talents, to rising to fame as a solo artist and becoming one of the world’s most famous Latin percussionists. Members will begin by learning the principles of rhythm and basic rudiments on the American drum set, in addition to music theory. The class will also cover intermediate concepts, such as leading a band, training tips, performance techniques and career advice. MasterClass members at all experience levels will master basic drumming techniques and develop a language for drumming that will inspire them to make music and play with others.

Sheila E.’s class joins the 85+ classes taught by world-renowned instructors on culinary arts, photography, writing, performance and much more. Jaden Smith’s “Goku”

Multitalented visionary JADEN SMITH unleashes a brand new single entitled “GOKU” today.

Get it HERE!

Over a barrage of unpredictable electronic production, JADENS flow transitions from hyper-charged verses into the hypnotic and hard-hitting hook, “I feel like I’m GOKU. Named after the hero of Dragonball-Z, the track veers in and out of thick percussion before storming towards this anthemic chant. This brash and bold banger moves at the frenetic breakneck pace of the anime with which it shares its name. If you close your eyes and listen, it’s as cinematic as it is catchy. It’s the perfect follow up to Jaden’s club banger, “GHOST”.

To Benefit Houston

Recovery

September 5th Houston, TX House of Blues Show Is On As Planned!

After the devastating storm that struck Texas, SWITCHFOOT and LIFEHOUSE wanted to do something together to give back and wrote a brand new song titled, “Shine Like Gold,” which exclusively premiered on People.com. All proceeds from “Shine Like Gold” will be donated to aid Houston’s recovery in partnership with Food for the Hungry. SWITCHFOOT and LIFEHOUSE are currently touring with each other for the first time ever on the “Looking For Summer” Tour. The bands will collectively be performing the song together at the September 5th House of Blues show in Houston, Texas.

On the new song and upcoming Houston show, Jon Foreman shares: “Jason and I had always talked about writing a song together. When it finally happened, ‘Shine Like Gold’ became a song about everyday heroes fighting their way through the darkness toward the light. On the day we recorded the song, Hurricane Harvey began wreaking havoc in Texas. Sometimes you don’t know what a song is for until after its written. In this case it became crystal clear. As we watched our friends and family in Texas struggle through the aftermath of the hurricane, we knew exactly what we had to do. We LOVE Houston. Houston is resilient and will rebuild. We’re honored to be in Houston next Tuesday to bring hope and healing the best way we know how.”

On “Shine Like Gold” and the upcoming Houston show, LIFEHOUSE’s Jason Wade said: “We can’t imagine what everyone is going through right now in Houston, but they’ve all been in our thoughts and prayers. We look forward to playing this show, standing alongside this amazing city and doing everything in our power to help. Jon and I started writing “Shine Like Gold” at the beginning of this tour, but it wasn’t until we recorded it in Nashville that we really knew what it was about. Seeing all of these amazing individuals who’ve sacrifice for their neighbors, and stepped up in the face of extreme hardship has been so inspiring. This song is for them. All of the proceeds from this song are going to Houston for the unsung heroes that do the right thing when no one is watching. All the love.”

Formed in San Diego in 1996, SWITCHFOOT is Jon Foreman (vocals, guitar), Tim Foreman (bass), Jerome Fontamillas (keyboard, guitar), Drew Shirley (guitar), and Chad Butler (drums). Since their start, the band has sold over 5.7 million copies worldwide of their first nine studio albums (including their 2003 double-platinum breakthrough The Beautiful Letdown and 2009’s Grammy Award-winning Hello Hurricane), racked up a string of Alternative radio hit singles, and performed sold-out world tours with over 4 million concert tickets worldwide.

SWITCHFOOT released their latest album, Where The Light Shines Through, on July 8th, 2016 via Vanguard Records. Where The Light Shines Through is the band’s tenth album and the first since 2014’s highly acclaimed Fading West. The album was self-produced in collaboration with John Fields, who helmed the multi-platinum breakthrough The Beautiful Letdown.

Beyond their career achievements, SWITCHFOOT has also been active in a variety of philanthropic efforts, raising over a million dollars to aid kids in their community through the band’s own Bro-Am Foundation, a long-running annual benefit surf contest and concert that’s held every summer in Encinitas, CA. $1 of every ticket sale will be donated to SWITCHFOOT’s BRO-AM Foundation providing services to underprivileged and disadvantaged youth. They’ve also maintained a deep commitment to a variety of humanitarian causes, lending their support to such worthy organizations as CURE International, DATA, the ONE Campaign, Habitat for Humanity, Invisible Children, and To Write Love on Her Arms.

Multi-platinum award-winning rock band LIFEHOUSE recently released their first hits compilation, LIFEHOUSE: Greatest Hits, on CD and all digital retailers. The 18-track selection will include a multitude of their chart-topping hits, including “You and Me,” “First Time”, “Halfway Gone,” “Hurricane” and “Hanging by a Moment,” which was the most played radio track of 2001. To mark the release, LIFEHOUSE, which includes Jason Wade (lead vocals, guitar), Bryce Soderberg (bass, vocals) and Ricky Woolstenhulme Jr. (drums, percussion), are co-headlining a U.S. tour with SWITCHFOOT, which will wrap September 10 at the Masonic Auditorium in San Francisco after a show on September 9 at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles (tour dates below). LIFEHOUSE was formed in Los Angeles by singer/songwriter/guitarist Jason Wade, bassist Bryce Soderberg and drummer Rick Woolstenhulme Jr. as Blyss in 1999, attracting the attention of producer Jude Cole. LIFEHOUSE’s music has always been radio-friendly, but the band’s success is as much for lead singer/guitarist Jason Wade’s “sonorous” vocals and spiritual songwriting as it is for the band’s well-honed cohesion as performers. Since 2000, LIFEHOUSE have released seven albums that have cumulatively sold 15 million around the world.
