The album has arrived as a cultural milestone in its own right. Stretching past the eight-minute mark, the title track “GOD DID” [feat. Rick RossLil WayneJAY-ZJohn Legend, & Fridayy] has sparked an important conversation. As part of a special report for MSNBC, Ari Melber host of The Beat broke down JAY-Z’s four-minute verse as a cogent and cohesive analysis on the failures of the prolonged generational drug war framed through the icon’s own journey embodied in the rhyme, “cocaína into champagne. However, it didn’t stop there. KhaledJAY-Z, Melber, and journalist Rob Markman engaged in this discourse publicly on Twitter SpacesJAY-Z went one step further and uploaded Melber’s initial report as “HOV DID” on all streaming platforms. Rolling Stone and People have chronicled this chain of events, and the conversation continues. However, it all started on “GOD DID.

Meanwhile, “Use This Gospel (Remix) [feat. Kanye WestEmimen (prod. by Dr. Dre The ICU)] bowed at #1 on the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs Chart and Hot Christian Songs Chart—Khaled’s first #1 entries on the respective charts. Additionally, he notched 10 entries on the Billboard Hot 100, including “God Did” at #17, “Staying Alive,” which is now RIAA Certified Gold, at #21 (Greatest Gainer/Streaming), “Beautiful” at #29, “Big Time” at #31, “Use This Gospel (Remix)”at #49, “Juice WRLD Did” at #55, “Keep Going” at #57 “Party” at #66, “It Ain’t Safe” at #77 “No Secret” at #78 and “Let’s Pray” at #86.

Beyond posting up over 800 million cumulative streams and views, GOD DID finds Khaled everywhere. GQ spoke to him as part of an in-depth profile and proclaimed, “Sixteen years after his star-studded debut, 2006’s Listennn… the Album, many of its same guests showed up for God Did, and getting these now-giants to answer the call today is even more of an impressive feat.” Meanwhile, Elliott Wilson and Brian “B.Dot” Miller of Rap Radar chatted with him for an all-encompassing podcast. Plus, he took the stage at the MTV VMA to present the award for “Best Collaboration” to Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow for Industry Baby.

He celebrated the rollout with an unprecedented deluge of videos, including, “Big Time” [feat. Future Lil Baby], “It Ain’t Safe”[feat. Nardo Wick & Kodak Black],“Party All The Time”[feat. Quavo Takeoff], “These Streets Know My Name”[feat. SkillibengBuju BantonCapletonBounty Killer, & Sizzla], “Keep Going” [feat. Lil Durk21 Savage, & Roddy Ricch], “Beautiful” [feat. SZA Future],  “Way Past Luck” [feat. 21 Savage], and “Jadakiss Interlude” [feat. Jadakiss].

Delivering the hip-hop event of the summer, he welcomed an A-list cohort of friends to join him for his latest magnum opus. The anthem king has returned with GOD DID, and he delivers his biggest, boldest, and best body of work to date.

Last year, Khaled unleashed his twelfth full-length album, KHALEDKHALED [We The Best Music Group/Epic Records]. It arrived as his third #1 debut on the Billboard Top 200, sixth #1 on the Top Rap Albums Chart, and fourth #1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. It also reached platinum status.

“The gay pop star we’ve been waiting for” THE ADVOCATE

Rising, acclaimed pop sensation JORDY today unveiled his ethereal, stripped-back new single “i get high,” available now on all streaming platforms. Pairing vulnerable, poignant lyricism with a stunning vocal range, the new song is an introspective reflection on anxiety, vices, and mediating the two. Co-written with frequent collaborator Drew Polovick, “i get high” continues to underscore JORDY’s conversational, raw, and diaristic lyrical style that has resonated with fans nationwide. The accompanying music video is also out today and available to watch HERE. Directed by Lily Judge, the visual features a powerful performance from the artist, complete with an Autumn-ready backdrop.

Regarding the new track, JORDY has the following message to share with his fans:

“I think everyone has some sort of vice. In good times or bad, it’s hard not to indulge whether in celebration or solitude. I have been using cannabis for a long time for medicinal purposes, but also recreational ones. Sometimes to ease anxiety, or sometimes when I go out socially; sometimes to help me sleep through the night, or sometimes to celebrate a milestone. I’ve never considered my relationship with marijuana unhealthy, but I can’t help but analyze and wonder if it’s a temporary fulfillment of an empty void; I am still in the process of figuring that out. My goal with my music is always to be upfront and honest, and this song is truly a reflection of that. It’s simply my truth. And if it’s mine, it’s probably someone else’s too. Whether it’s taking a hit or having a drink, going on dates or a casual hookup, we all something we turn to help us feel a bit more or feel a bit less. But my overall goal with this song is to help people feel a little more heard and understood.” – JORDY

In support of “i get high” and his slew of new singles, JORDY will be playing a series of special headline shows in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles throughout the late fall and winter. This weekend, he will also head to Hawaii to headline Honolulu Pride Festival on Sunday, 10/16. A full itinerary of dates can be found below, with all tickets available on JORDYMusic.com.

JORDY is also in the studio working on his much-anticipated sophomore project, with more details to be revealed soon.

About JORDY:

Drawing inspiration from pop staples such as The Spice Girls, Michelle Branch, Avril Lavigne, and contemporaries such as Sam Smith, Troye Sivan, and Lauv, JORDY’s songs blend the glimmering, bouncy 90s pop sound with sincere, heartfelt songwriting. He unveiled his debut album Mind Games in November 2021, along with a companion acoustic EP in February, and Pride anthem “Dry Spell” earlier this summer, which Teen Vogue hailed “a bright new single made for the dance floor,” while Billboard crowned it “one of his best produced tracks to date.” Furthermore, Shondaland lauded the song “a drop-everything-and-dance-delight.” Afterwards, he shared the bubbly earworm “IDK SH!T,” chronicling the challenges of young adulthood in his twenties. V Magazine praised its “head-bopping beat and refreshingly honest lyrics,” along with The Huffington Post calling it “the perfect anthem for 20-somethings a track designed for maximum volume.” In tandem with the latter single’s release, JORDY made his hometown debut at Lollapalooza over the summer, playing the T-Mobile mainstage to a high-spirited crowd. In 2022, he also hit the festival circuit at BottleRock Napa Valley, headlined Washashore Festival (Provincetown, MA), and played a slew of Pride performances all across the U.S.

JORDY’s heart-on-his-sleeve approach to modern pop music has resulted in 100M+ career streams, sold out shows across the U.S., and a devoted following on TikTok that started with his dance-pop hit “Long Distance” that went viral on the platform in 2021. A relatable song about loneliness and the struggles of long distance relationships during the Covid-19 pandemic, JORDY delivered a stellar performance of the track during his national television debut on The TODAY Show, and earlier this year, he nabbed a nomination at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in the “Social Star” category.

Maisie Peters – CATE’S BROTHER

British pop singer-songwriter Maisie Peters shares “Cate’s Brother (Breland’s Version),” a rework of her viral track featuring boundary-pushing singer-songwriter Breland, available now on all streaming platforms.

Last month Maisie took the stage at CBS‘s Late Late Show with James Corden for an electrifying performance of her viral single “Cate‘s Brother.” The episode was part of Corden’s special run of shows from London and landed in the midst of a 5 night stand at London’s Wembley Stadium supporting Ed Sheeran‘s “+–=÷x Tour.” Watch the performance HERE.

Recently announced, Maisie‘s North American headline tour dubbed ‘i’m telling the whole of america tour’ is selling fast. The 5-date run kicks off on November 4th with a sold-out show at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York and makes stops in Toronto (SOLD OUT), Chicago (VENUE UPGRADED), and San Francisco (SOLD OUT) before wrapping at The Wiltern in Los Angles on November 14th. For tickets and more information on Maisie’s upcoming North American tour please visit HERE.

Last month, Maisie unveiled “Cate’s Brother (Matt’s Version),” a stripped-back version of her viral song featuring British singer-songwriter Matt Maltese. No stranger to a TikTok hit – his own, ‘As The World Caves In’, exploded on the platform during lockdown – Matt joined Maisie to expand the ‘Cate’s Brother’ universe, and shared his response to the original story.

Released in May, the original version of “Cate’s Brother” arrived to critical acclaim and has already cracked 8.7M million streams. Based on a true story, Maisie initially teased the track live from a studio session in February and with an overwhelming response from her fanbase, continued working on the song in real time, sharing everything from Cate’s first listen reaction to debut performances. Upon release, Billboard praised the track as “fantastic” adding “the storytelling beneath the wiry pop-rock production is top-notch” while People declared Maisie as “pop’s next big thing.” Consequence of Sound described the track as “vibrant, playful and fun” and hailed, “If there was ever any doubt that Peters can oscillate between more delicate, introspective tracks over to crowd-ready bops like this, let ‘Cate’s Brother’ be the end of the conversation.”

Before amassing over half a billion global streams, Maisie spent time honing her craft in sessions across London, LA and Nashville, creating songs for her 2021 debut album ‘You Signed Up For This’ alongside the likes of Ed Sheeran, Steve Mac, Fred again.., Johnny McDaid, Miranda Cooper, and producers Joe Rubel (Tom Grennan, Benjamin Francis Leftwich), Afterhrs (Niall Horan, GRACEY), Rob Milton (Easy Life, Holly Humberstone) and Brad Ellis (Jorja Smith, Little Mix). With an innate gift for storytelling, crafting relatable, diary-entry songs, ‘You Signed Up For This‘ is both Maisie’s coming of age story and a love letter to girlhood; penned with the wit, charm and quiet confidence that has seen her ascend from busking on the streets of Brighton to signing with Ed Sheeran‘s Gingerbread Man Records and selling out her entire 2022 North American ‘You Signed Up For This‘ tour.

Returning home after her sold-out 19-date You Signed Up For This tour, which included standout shows at The El Rey and New York’s Webster Hall, Maisie is playing to a further 2.5 million+ people this summer as support on Ed Sheeran‘s ‘+–=÷x Tour’ in Europe and working on the follow up to her acclaimed debut album ‘You Signed Up For This.’

Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, actress and activist paris jackson unveiled her brand-new single entitled “lighthouse” out now via Republic Records—listen to “lighthouse” HERE. The song was produced by singer, songwriter, musician and producer Butch Walker

The single is released alongside the official music video, which was inspired by the iconic video for Nirvana‘s “Sliver.” In the video, paris pays homage with a photo of Kurt Cobain—a full circle moment to the original video. Watch the “lighthouse” video HERE.

The song channels unbridled nineties rock energy as it harnesses the power of a classic alternative dynamic with a twist of its own. paris’ hypnotic verses give way to a chantable chorus, “I can feel the lights go low, but I don’t wanna let go now, maybe if I turn around you’ll see me, and what you used to be,” before a hummable guitar solo.

On the song, paris says, “I continued to write about this same old heartbreak that wilted is about. A lot of the new songs coming out are similar stories about the same person and heartbreak. I guess I’m just exploring different feelings. wilted was a more melancholy record, and now I’m exploring more of the anger…”

paris recently lit up SXSW with her debut performance at the festival, landing looks from Billboard, The Recording Academy’s Grammy U and more. Back in 2020, she delivered her debut album, wilted, joined by collaborators Andy Hull and Robert McDowell of Manchester Orchestra. Upon arrival, it captured #1 on the iTunes US Alternative Albums Chart and incited the applause of NPR, Rolling Stone, Associated Press, Entertainment Weekly, E! News, People, NME, NYLON, Refinery29, WWD and more. Additionally, she ignited late-night television with an emotionally charged rendition of “let down” on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!. paris remained prolific in 2021 with The Struts’ collaboration “Low Key In Love,” before sharing the lost EP as a surprise gift for her fans in early 2022. LILY ROSE – STRONGER THAN I AM

LILY ROSE INTRODUCES HERSELF WITH SEVEN SONG PROJECT STRONGER THAN I AM

Gut-wrenching music video for title-track illustrates powerful story of loss

Lily Rose, the groundbreaking singer/songwriter who has spent the last ten months introducing herself to her fans through critically-acclaimed releases, drops her highly anticipated new project STRONGER THAN I AM (Big Loud Records / Back Blocks Music and Republic Records) available everywhere today. The seven-song collection includes two brand new songs and is released alongside a brand-new music video for title-track “Stronger Than I Am.”

“It’s pretty wild that after the 10 craziest months I’ve ever experienced, my first project as a label artist is finally out,” shares Rose. “I couldn’t be prouder of these songs, more thankful for all of the songwriters, and inspired by what Joey Moi has done with this collection of songs!”

With “the vocal talent to speak directly to the listener on an extraordinarily personal level” (Music Row), Rose’s new project rounds out the vulnerable storytelling Rose has consistently delivered with previous releases including “Villain,” “Overnight Sensation,” “Remind Me of You,” “Know My Way Around” and “I Don’t Smoke.”

In less than a year since her striking debut in the format, Rose has been tapped as Billboard’s ‘Rookie of The Month’ and has received stout critical acclaim from Rolling Stone, CMT, American Songwriter, Variety, People and more. Her “confident ease blending musical styles” (Rolling Stone) has resonated with the industry and fans alike, with critics calling her voice “irresistible” (Billboard) and a “top-shelf vocal blend” (Sounds Like Nashville). In a recent interview with CMT’s new digital series ‘Viral to Verified,’ Rose opened up to fans about her journey from struggling to pay the bills to an “overnight sensation, 13 years in the making.” American Songwriter declares, “there is no doubt that Rose shines differently than perhaps any other country artist out there.”

Tracklist:

  1. “Villain” (Lily Rose, Mackenzie Carpenter, Kyle Clark)
  2. “Stronger Than I Am” (Griffen Palmer, Geoff Warburton)
  3. “I Don’t Smoke” (Daniel Gerard Breland, Lalo Guzman, Michael Tyler)
  4. “Remind Me of You” (Corey Crowder, Sam Hunt, Ernest Keith Smith, Ryan Vojtesak)
  5. “Know My Way Around” (Lily Rose, Julian Bunetta, Savana Santos)
  6. “Breakin’ In” (Lily Rose, John Byron, Ben Johnson, Blake Pendergrass)
  7. “Whole Lotta Hometowns” (Lily Rose, Andy Albert, Kyle Clark)

ABOUT LILY ROSE
Words like “groundbreaking” and “trailblazing” are often overused. But for Big Loud Records / Back Blocks Music and Republic Records Country star Lily Rose, they may actually be an understatement. The modern expression of Country’s most treasured ideal – pure, unflinching honesty – her debut hit “Villain” has revealed Rose as a talent both 100-percent unique and utterly relatable, with a fresh perspective and forward-looking sound. A Georgia native whose inspirations range from Bruce Springsteen to Keith Urban and Katy Perry, Rose broke out in 2020 with the viral smash, “Villain.” Both vulnerable and defiant with a boundary pushing Country-meets-R&B sound, the track hit Number One on the iTunes all-genre chart and SiriusXM’s The Highway Hot 30 Weekend Countdown, leading to her new, seven-song project, STRONGER THAN I AM. With her focus firmly on integrity, Rose’s bold mix of personal lyricism and distinctive language meets the hooky sonics of a post-genre fanbase, as pure-Country confessions merge with Hip-Hop beats and R&B flow – plus representation where there was none before. All told, it gives new credence to her “groundbreaking” label.
