Earlier this year, Wayne released the deluxe version of his chart-topping album Funeral, which includes 8 new tracks featuring Lil Uzi Vert, Tory Lanez, Doja Cat, Jessie Reyez, Benny The Butcher and Conway The Machine. Funeral marks Wayne’s 5th No. 1 album on the U.S. Billboard 200 Chart, joining Tha Carter V (2018), Tha Carter IV (2011), I Am Not a Human Being (2010) and Tha Carter III (2008).
Lil Wayne rewrote the entire game in his image. The five-time GRAMMY® Award-winning multiplatinum rap icon, Young Money Entertainment founder, acclaimed author, skater, philanthropist, and history-making superstar left an indelible tattoo on the culture. By 2020, he cemented his legacy forever as “one of the best-selling artists of all time,” tallying sales in excess of 100 million records worldwide with 15 million albums and 37 million digital tracks sold in the United States alone. Not to mention, he garnered 11 BET Awards, four Billboard Music Awards, two MTV VMAs, and eight NCAAP Image Awards. Among many milestones, he emerged as “the first male artist to surpass Elvis Presley with the most entries on the Billboard Hot 100,” logging a staggering 109 entries.
With a discography highlighted by two consecutive #1 debuts on the Billboard Top 200 with 2008’s triple-platinum three-time GRAMMY® Award-winning opus Tha Carter III and its double-platinum 2011 successor Tha Carter IV, he completed the series with Tha Carter V in 2018. Not only did it clinch #1 on the Billboard Top 200, but it also achieved “the second-largest streaming week for an album in history.” Every song on the tracklisting charted on the Billboard Hot 100 as he became “the first artist to debut two songs in the top 5.” It all bulldozed the way for his thirteenth full-length, Funeral, a year later. Simultaneously , Wayne owns and operates Young Money Entertainment as C.E.O. The company ignited the careers of two of the most successful artists ever—Drake and Nicki Minaj. The committed philanthropist founded The One Family Foundation too.
Dominican-American, South Florida native and rising star DaniLeigh announces the November 30th release of her album, The Plan, via Def Jam Recordings. The recent remix of her smash hit “Lil Bebe” featuring Lil Baby, is currently at 1.4 million global streams with the original music video at over 3 million views. Her “Be Yourself” tour kicks off on January 31 in San Francisco, ending on February 26 in Denver. Pre-sale starts today at www.IamDaniLeigh.com.
DaniLeigh’s prominence as an artist started after a life changing encounter with the legendary Prince. After learning of her talents as a dancer, the Purple One reached out to have DaniLeigh direct his video for “Breakfast Can Wait”(view the video here). Prince ultimately took DaniLeigh under his wing, mentoring her budding singing career.
2017 brought the release of her major label debut, Summer with Friends which lead to her viral Shiggy created “In My Feelings” challenge (currently at close to 10 million views). In the Fall of 2018 DaniLeigh tapped into the energy of the global female empowerment movement when she and Spain’s Andalusian superstar Mala Rodriguez were featured on the amped-up remix of “Quero Que Tu Va” by Ananda and Joker Beats – watch the video HERE.
Most recently, DaniLeigh toured with Jeremih and Teyana Taylor on the Later That Night / KTSE on Aisle VII tour and is YouTube’s latest “artist on the rise”. She stars in Footlocker’s “Week of Greatness” global campaign with J. Balvin, DJ Khaled + Asahd, and more (watch the spot here) and also performed the “Lil Bebe” choreography with Aliya Janell from Queens N’ Lettos – watch HERE.
Last night concluded the Los Angeles leg of OTRII tour, featuring Beyoncé and Jay-Z.
DJ Khaled opened up for the Carters alongside of special guests – Tyga, Tank, YG and Ella Mai. With thousands of screaming fans, Bey and her husband transformed the Rose Bowl into an iconic night to commemorate. Massive LED screens, scores of dancers coupled with pyrotechnics and a state-of-the-art sound system commanded one of the most powerful performances of our lifetime. No wonder the show (earlier this year) has been decorated by both Michelle and Barack Obama’s presence as well as the Kardashians and Oprah. ‘Apeshit‘ off of their latest collaboration Everything is Love was a crowd favorite as Bey spits some serious bars with her epic flow which rivals some of today’s top lyricists.
With less than 8 shows left, you may want to consider making arrangements to see this landmark presentation at on of its last stops.
If anything to witness the bright smiles of 11 high school students who will receive one $100,000 scholarships (per city) from both the BeyGOOD and Shawn Carter foundations.
Remaining OTR II tour dates.

“LIT” – Drei Ros, Sy Ari Da Kid, Reo Gragun & Tray Haggerty:
Romanian born music artist Drei Ros has spent years spicing up tracks for artists such as Pusha T, Gucci Mane and Kap G. Today, he added to his already impressive collection of hit collaborations with his latest single “LIT” featuring Sy Ari Da Kid, Reo Cragun and Tray Haggerty.
Drei was additionally recently featured on the Latina trap track “Bomberos” alongside Latino/Urbano duo Los Rakas and produced by DJ duo Breakfast N Vegas. The successful single was featured on Spotify’s ‘New Music Friday Latin’ and ‘Beast Mode’ playlists. Both new singles come in anticipation of Drei’s forthcoming debut album “Excuse My Accent,” produced by by 808 Mafia (who produced tracks for Future, Drake, Migos, Travis Scott, DJ Khaled, etc.). The album, which shows a never-before-heard side of Drei as an artist, is set to release October 2018.
Drei has endured grand success in a short amount of time, leading up to the creation of his debut album. He officially began his career in 2009, teaming up with artists Burre Collins and Dyce Dylli to form the band B.O.S.S. (“building our success story”). His infectious Romanian accent added intrigue to his English raps, and brought quick success to several B.O.S.S. singles – ultimately leading to the curation of the band’s album and a tour of the Pacific Northwest.
Still new to the music industry and experimenting with his sound, Drei teamed up with more artists of different backgrounds to dabble with adding his own creative style to a multitude of genres. He’s since paired up with the likes of Jamaican Reggae legend Junior Reid, Alex Mica, Evelyn, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, Pusha T, Krisha, etc. In 2016, Drei’s music video went viral for “Shake Dat Monkey” featuring JBo of the Youngbloodz (and Messiah on the Latin remix), garnering 3.3M+ YouTube views. Continuing his history of successful collabs in 2017, Drei released the singles “Ordinary Day” featuring Pack The Arcade and “I Need You” featuring Marvelus Fame and Bel. At the beginning of 2018, Drei teamed up with J Romero and Kap G to create “Loco” with an accompanying music video, which has already garnered 1.2M+ views on YouTube alone.
Now, Drei is out to show the world his own sound by releasing an album of his original tracks with “Excuse My Accent.” The trap album mixes English and Spanish languages, giving it the edge of an international appeal. With his Romanian roots and the lessons from his many collaborations molded into the foundation of the artist he has become, Drei’s album will have hints of his past creations – but overall be a never-before-heard music brand for fans that fully embodies this musical mastermind of ‘Drei Ros’ as an artist.
