360 Magazine was invited to Chicago’s most-exclusive nightclub for an evening of merrymaking, music and memories. The Underground Chicago recently reopened last weekend after a fifteen-month lockdown and is yet again revitalizing Chicago’s VIP social scene. The choice club for A-listers– including celebrities like Justin Bieber, UsherLaBron James, David BeckhamWill.I.Am, and Miley Cyrus– The Underground consistently delivers elevated experiences surrounding music, cocktails, fashion, art and design. Entrepreneur and owner of The Underground, Billy Dec, comments on the club’s long-awaited re-opening:

The COVID pandemic has wiped out many live music and nightclub venues across the country,” says Dec. “Historically, nightclubs have had a pivotal role in cultural evolution. The vibrant ambiance of The Underground reflected the colorful diversity of guests inside, all of which were busy unleashing their signature moves on the packed dance floor. The discotheque throbbed with ecstatic energy and heavy bass lines all night long. A state-of-the-art sound system blared trendy music across all corners of the club for all to hear. The ambiance of the tunes was complimented by thrilling pyrotechnics and digital screens that projected artsy flicks.

Upon arriving at the legendary establishment, 360 Magazine was greeted with service from hospitable, welcoming staff members– including security and a stylish porter. On the particular night we visited, Lil Jon made a star appearance. Lil Jon, the musical mastermind behind releases such as Turn Down for What, Get Low, Cyclone, and Alive (with Offset and 2 Chainz), filled the club with energy and exuberance. Soundscapes swelled across every crowded corner of the club as the rapper delivered an incredible performance.

Lil Jon wasn’t the only celebrity guest, as he performed alongside Emmy award-winning TV host, actor and personality, Billy Dec. Dec also is the restaurateur and owner of the iconic nightclub but is best known for his roles in “Chicagoland,” “Mollywood,” “One Small Hitch,” and “Adventures in the Sin Bin,” among others. Dec has also appearance on many national broadcast programs, including NBC’s Today Show and NBC Today in Nashville.

Looking ahead, Dec is set to open The Underground’s sister venue, The Underground Cocktail Club. Scheduled to open over Lollapalooza weekend (July 30-Aug 1), this new establishment will feature a separate entrance to The Underground’s building and emphasize the nostalgic, vintage appeal of the 1920’s. The Underground Cocktail Club will focus on creating innovative cocktails and featuring more live performances. Next time 360 Magazine comes to Chicago, we can’t wait to have another memorable, lively night at the Underground.

Last May during the pandemic, 1/ST EXPERIENCE reimagined the live entertainment experience with the nation’s first full-scale, socially distant drive-in concert, Drive-InFieldFest hosted by D-Nice exclusively for first responders as part of the 1/ST Preakness At Home livestream event. Now, the experience comes full circle with Preakness LIVE, an in-person concert headlined by D-NICE along with 2 Chainz and Jack Harlow. With the front rows reserved exclusively for first responders and frontline workers, Preakness LIVE will offer a safe, socially distant and more intimate live audience experiencing replacing, for this year, the tradition of InfieldFest. 

With standardized COVID-19 protocols in place, Preakness 146 weekend will host 10,000 fans for a socially distant entertainment event. Preakness LIVE will offer socially distanced pods for groups of eight to provide a unique and private concert viewing environment for concertgoers. To amplify the experience, food, drinks, merchandise and more will be accessible via mobile phone ordering and served directly to guests in their seated pods along with contactless wagering via the 1/ST BET app. 

Tickets for Preakness LIVE can be purchased online at Preakness beginning Wednesday, April 21. Pods are sold in packages of eight (8) between $360 – $2,000 (or $45 – $350 per person) depending on distance from the stage for the private viewing area.

Lil Wayne – NFL

Lil Wayne released a brand new single Monday titled “NFL,” which features Gudda Gudda & HoodyBaby.

The new song is produced by Boi-1da and !llmind and will be the featured song as Amazon Prime takes over Thursday Night Football beginning this week when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers visit the Chicago Bears.

Lil Wayne is coming off the release of the deluxe edition of “Tha Carter V“, a 33-song album which dropped Sept. 25. He also released a brand new album in Jan. titled “Funeral.”

2 Chainz – Money Maker

2 Chainz, the multi-platinum, Grammy Award®-winning MC returns with Money Maker” feat. Lil Wayne, the first new single from his forthcoming sixth studio album via Def Jam Recordings. The song samples Louisiana’s HBCU Southern University world-renowned marching band, Human Jukebox, which are also featured in the artwork. 2 Chainz previewed the song last night during his Verzuz battle with Rick Ross where the King’s of the South celebrated their legacies and iconic catalogs. Money Makeris the first new music from 2 Chainz since his January single + video “Dead Man Walking” featuring Future.

2 Chainz’ most recent Def Jam album, Rap Or Go To The League (released March 2019), was described as his most personal, most lyrical, most soulful record to date. It challenged the notion that the only way out of the inner city is either to become a rapper or a ball player. The album flipped that trope, celebrating themes of black excellence, the power of education, and entrepreneurship.  A&R’d by LeBron James, Rap Or Go To The League spun off two smashes: the MTV VMA-nominated “Rule The World” featuring Ariana Grande, which boasts nearly 22 million YouTube views to date; and the RIAA platinum Bigger Than You featuring Drake and Quavo which has amassed over 62 million combined YouTube views to date. 

Rap Or Go To The League was 2 Chainz’ first new studio album since Pretty Girls Like Trap Music, his RIAA gold #1 release of 2017. That LP netted over 2 billion streams after racking up three consecutive RIAA multi-platinum hits: “4 AM” featuring Travis Scott; “It’s A Vibe” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Trey Songz and Jhené Aiko; and “Good Drank” featuring Quavo and Gucci Mane.

Following his run as a founding member of Def Jam duo Playaz Circle from his native Atlanta, 2 Chainz’ name was on everyone’s lips in 2012, when he stole a verse on Mercy,” fellow Def Jam artist Kanye West/G.O.O.D. Music’s RIAA triple-platinum #1 R&B/#1 Rap hit (from Cruel Summer).  In August 2012, Chainz arrived as a Def Jam solo artist with Based On A T.R.U.
