All while putting finishing touches on the new project, burning the mic on Funk Flex Freestyle and releasing fan favourites like “Run Run” and “Be Good”. “Lick” is Shenseea’s first official single of 2022 and will be off her upcoming debut album coming out this year. Bhad Bhabie – Miss Understood

From viral sensation to multi-platinum hip-hop phenomenon, 18-year-old Danielle Bregoli (aka Bhad Bhabie) is a true 21st century star, known worldwide for her mischievous flow, razor-sharp wordplay, and unstoppable charisma. With over a billion global streams thus far, the Florida born rapper has emerged as a landmark talent.

Today Bhad Bhabie returns to the music scene with sizzling visuals for her lead single “Miss Understood.” Directed by Tiny Tapes and Orazio and filmed in Los Angeles the high energy video will be featured on her forthcoming EP.

Amidst an aesthetic of neon lights, blurry screens, paparazzi and dollar bills, the video’s opening finds the rapper donning a dominatrix like outfit and welcoming fans into her world to share a story about love, haters and decadence. She says, “the video for Miss Understood has some fire sexy looks and a real intimate feel. It’s definitely a new kind of video for me.”

Co-written by London Jae (Beyonce, Rihanna, Cardi B) and produced by Go Grizzly (Future, Nicki Minaj, Kehlani) the song’s hook “They say I’m trouble, but maybe I’m just misunderstood…” seems apropos for the star who sometimes finds herself in hot water for being so outspoken. This time Bhad Bhabie has channeled all her passionate energy into creating a new more mature sound while continuing to carve out her own niche in the hip hop world. “I’ve definitely evolved with my sound. My new music is less gimmicky, I feel like a lot of my old music was kinda childish. I was young, I was 14 and 15. Now I’m 18 and I’m definitely going to show that I’m more mature with my content and delivery.”

With her increasing catalogue of chart-busting hits, social media triumphs, and seemingly non-stop artistic growth, Bhad Bhabie is unquestionably one of today’s most successful new superstars. She has catapulted herself from a meme to a globally recognized influencer and artist boasting over 1.5 billion global streams. She seamlessly moves between worlds of social justice and sexy, with a massive OnlyFans account and she also made headlines this year speaking out against Turn About Ranch and the “troubled teen industry.”

Having previously collaborated with heavyweights Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Yachty, City Girls and Lil Baby and more. With this new project she hopes with this project her listeners can finally get a feel for who she is as a woman, artist and human being. Whether she’s talking about relationships, finances, breakups or the glow up, Bhad Bhabie is letting her ingenuity manifest itself. It’s the way she speaks, dresses and creates.

BUKU Music + Art Project, New Orleans’s premiere multi-faceted boutique music festival, announced the lineup for BUKU: Planet B, a one-time-only fall iteration of its flagship spring event. Planet B offers up an alternative way to dance through the rabbit-hole of BUKU on the banks of the Big Easy. Aiming to celebrate the resiliency of New Orleans and the triumphant return of live music, BUKU: Planet B is purposefully boutique in size but captures the expansive multi-genre curatorial ethos of BUKU, welcoming over 50 acts to its creative playground on October 22-23, 2021.

For the past decade, BUKU has fostered a boutique festival experience that proudly reflects the diverse and progressive subculture of New Orleans. It’s birthed the #BUKREWE, a community of festival lovers, carnival kings and queens, ragers and twerkers, that come in all shapes and sizes, flowing together along the banks of the Mississippi. Those in the know can attest to the wild costumes, unhinged self-expression, and myriad of personalities that set the BUKU vibe from start to finish and have made it one of North America’s most authentic places to party.

Continuing its melting pot approach to curation, BUKU: Planet B welcomes a lineup that spans genre and style. Topping the bill are some of modern music’s biggest stars like powerhouse hip-hop icon Megan Thee Stallion, melodic bass music’s ultimate champion Illenium, pop-punk vocalist Machine Gun Kelly, experimental rapper Playboi Carti, and Memphis rap chart-topper Pooh Shiesty

As you would expect in New Orleans, dancing takes center stage at Planet B with the cutting-edge eclecticism of producers Kaytranada and Jamie xx, Australian dance music producer and vocalist Alison Wonderland, and the trio of bass titans Zeds Dead, Subtronics, and SVDDEN DEATH: VOYD. Adding to the diverse vibe, Chris Lake and Purple Disco Machine will also treat the #BUKREWE to their discography of genre-defining house heaters.

Forward-thinking live performances remain in focus at Planet B with feel-good frequencies from singer Still Woozy, bone-crushing vibes from industrial rap/metal artist Ghostemane, next gen star British singer-songwriter and poet Arlo Parks, genre-bending rap/electro-pop performer Ashnikko, and high-energy rappers EARTHGANG, Flo Milli, slowthai, Yung Baby Tate, and $NOT.

As a barometer for the sounds taking over tomorrow, BUKU: Planet B welcomes breakout stars like Remi Wolf, Dua Saleh, Moore Kismet, VNSSA, 박혜진 Park Hye Jin, TVBOO and others, plus over 20 local New Orleans acts in an effort to showcase and support the local arts community, including the first festival performance by Pell’s GLBL WRMNG collective.

“For the past year, we’ve watched our fans step outside of their comfort zones and persevere through weird times,” said Dante DiPasquale, BUKU’s co-creator.  “PLANET B is the result of us being inspired by them to do the same, and all of us at Team BUKU are excited to finally party with them again.”

Set against the uniquely New Orleans backdrop of the haunting Market Street Power Plant and the historic grounds of the old TwiRoPa venue, Planet B aims to harness the chaos of the last year and release it in the form of raw creativity. Attendees will be guided between multiple stage environments, a dizzying landscape of art installations, street-artist performances, and a multitude of surprises. Fans may find themselves mesmerized by a local graffiti artist, enhancing their costume with a custom face painting, joining a marching band procession, catching a pop-up breakdancing crew or just hanging with friends while gazing at the New Orleans skyline. It’s an urban oasis as much about oddities and community as it is about the headliners.

Civic duty too remains at the heart of the BUKU spirit, as the event organizers continue their Social Responsibility Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment geared towards social justice, reducing the environmental impact of the event, and supporting New Orleans community organizations. BUKU doubled down on this commitment in 2020 alongside its charitable partner Upbeat Academy by launching their Take Action Project (“TAP”). Thus far, the project has completed three fan-mobilizing campaigns raising over $10,000 for racial justice, voting rights, and environmental sustainability organizations. BUKU will continue this mission in 2021 alongside Upbeat Academy, a non-profit that inspires and empowers New Orleans youth through music education, who also act as the beneficiary of proceeds from every ticket sold to BUKU or Planet B. Learn more about these programs here

BUKU: Planet B will be the ultimate release for music fans in dire need of connection and creative exploration. It will continue to provide an inclusive home for the technicolor characters that call New Orleans home while welcoming #BUKREWE far and wide to experience the city’s eccentric culture for themselves. Come and get it.

ANTHONY RAMOS – SAY LESS

ANTHONY RAMOS HEATS THINGS UP IN MUSIC VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE “SAY LESS” FEATURING “IN THE HEIGHTS” CO-STAR MELISSA BARRERA

WATCH “SAY LESS” HERE

LISTEN TO “SAY LESS” HERE

Anthony Ramos releases the official music video for his new single “Say Less” today featuring Ramos’ “In The Heights” co-star Melissa Barrera and directed by Bobby Hanaford–watch HERE

“‘Say Less’ is a transition song into this darker world I am exploring in my music,” says Ramos. “This video is a depiction of two people in a fleeting inferno of a relationship–one that can never be stable–but is too amazing to give up in spite of the inevitable outcome,” he adds. “They’re keeping a flame alive that will eventually burn out or explode. Not sure how it’ll end up, but in the meantime ‘Say Less’.”

The latest single represents another major evolution for Ramos as it leans into a sensuous R&B sound and provocative lyrics and paves the way for more to come from the multitalented star.

In addition to releasing new music, Ramos recently starred in Calvin Klein’s new Spring 2021 campaign alongside stars like Megan Thee Stallion and Jacob Elordi. This May, he will also appear in HBO’s reimagining of the Emmy Award-winning series “In Treatment” opposite Uzo Aduba. He will also star in Lin Manuel Miranda’s highly anticipated big screen adaptation of “In The Heights”, which will be released in theaters and available via HBO Max, on June 11.

Ivy Park x Adidas to Drop Drip 2.2

By Hannah DiPilato

After an incredibly successful clothing drop of the Adidas x Ivy Park collection, Beyoncé is at it again with a darker line. Adidas x Ivy Park’s Drip 2 sold out almost instantly, but a line that Beyoncé dubbed “Drip 2.2: Black Pack” is coming soon.

The Ivy Park Instagram account, @weareivypark, posted a teaser video of the collection captioned “THIS IS MY PARK.” Beyoncé also uploaded three posts on her Instagram to showcase the collection’s styles.

The line will debut on the Adidas website in the United States on November 17 and worldwide on the Adidas website on November 18. The collection will be available in-store on November 19. Hopefully, if you weren’t able to snag something from the first collection, these three days will be your lucky chance.

Drip 2.2 has much more neutral colors than the original Drip 2 drop. Drip 2 had a variety of bright green and teal colors and Drip 2.2 will feature black and nude. This makes the upcoming collection a bit more versatile and fitting for the winter months.

According to Teen Vogue, the designs “are similar to the last two drops; biker shorts, [sports] bras, a jumpsuit, sweats, fanny packs, and more. The only thing that’s really changed is the colors.”

A landing page announcing the launch can be found on Beyoncé’s website that shows off some of the styles we can expect next week. Teen Vogue also featured images of the collection.

British Vogue will feature Beyoncé on the cover of their December issue this year. Beyonce is shown in many stunning outfits throughout the shoot. In one image, she is showing off one of the neon looks from the Adidas x Ivy Park Drip 2 collection. The neon green jumpsuit is paired with a bold, dazzling necklace and a bright green bucket hat.

The three beautiful covers of Beyoncé were photographed by Kennedi Carter. According to Billboard, the 21-year-old photographer is the youngest photographer to shoot a cover in British Vouge’s history.

The December issue will also include an interview with Beyoncé conducted by Edward Enninful that shares how Beyoncé conquered 2020. She even shares that the most recent Ivy Park collection was inspired by quarantine.

“During quarantine, fashion was a place of escape for me. My kids and I came up with Fashion Fridays,”  Beyoncé said. “Every Friday, we would dress up in my clothes or make clothes together and take each other’s pictures. It became a ritual for us and an opportunity to handle this crazy year together,”

“The newest Ivy Park collection was inspired by this new tradition. It consciously uses bright, bold colours to remind us to smile,” she continued. “I used a lot of neon yellow and coral mixed with baby blue and earth tones that felt soothing. They brought me joy and made me smile in the midst of a tough time for all of us.”

This interview allows Beyoncé to dive deeper into her thoughts on fashion and her Ivy Park x Adidas collection. Along with the interview being featured in the December issue of British Vogue, it’s available on Vogue’s website

Ivy Park has been killing the athleisure game since it was founded in 2016. The company was originally joined with the popular store Topshop, but Beyoncé split from the Topshop name after allegations against the Ivy Park co-founder Sir Phillip Green.

Beyonce spoke in Elle about the origin of Ivy Park. “I would wake up in the morning, and my dad would come knocking at my door, telling me it’s time to go running, said Beyoncé. “I remember wanting to stop, but I would push myself to keep going. It taught me discipline.”

In 2019, the collaboration between Ivy Park and Adidas was launched and marked the rebranding of Ivy Park after splitting from Topshop. Now Ivy Park and Adidas are making waves with their joint collections. The collections have featured athletic clothing as well as spunky accessories.

Follow Beyoncé on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook to make sure you don’t miss updates about the collection. You can also follow Ivy Park on Instagram and Twitter for recent updates. Make sure to mark your calendar for the release of Drip 2.2.

Grammy Awards Wine and Cocktail Pairings

*Congrats to ‘Best New Artist’ Grammy Winner Megan Thee Stallion

With the 63rd annual GRAMMY Awards rapidly approaching, it is time to start thinking about accolade-worthy wine and cocktail pairings to savor during the broadcast on March 14. Here are our picks for Best Beverages paired perfectly with each Record of the Year nominee.

BLACK PARADE (Beyoncé)

Trivento Reserve Maximum Red Blend ($10.99)

Beyoncé has been known to enjoy a glass of red wine and we can think of no better way than to toast this accolade than with a wine named after Trivento Reserve’s charismatic and charming winemaker – Maximiliano Ortiz. This deep ruby-red Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon blend, presents an aromatic complexity given by blackcurrants, red and black berries, black pepper, cinnamon, tobacco and smoky notes from the oak. In the mouth, the wine is round and sweet with good structure, persistent and pleasant tannins. The long finish is accompanied by oaky notes.

COLORS (Black Pumas)

Frontera Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot ($6.99)

Given Adrian Quesada’s impressive career spanning multiple genres, we’re thinking he might appreciate a wine brand that annually supports the Latin Grammys…this bright and intense ruby red Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot blend presents with dark berries and cocoa which carry over to the palate and are rounded out with mild but sexy tannins.

ROCKSTAR (DaBaby Featuring Roddy Ricch)

Frontera Sauvignon Blanc ($6.99)

DaBaby has been spotted enjoying a glass of white during his travels. Frontera Sauvignon Blanc is fruity in character with citric and peach aromas. Light in flavor, this fresh and well-balanced sauvignon blanc is the perfect white for DaBaby and his crew.

SAY SO (Doja Cat)

Doja Cat has not been shy about sharing her tips on making a delicious cocktail. Perhaps she’ll like this one created by Cristóbal Srokowski, Ron Abuelo Global Brand Ambassador.

VERACRUZ

1 1/2 oz. Ron Abuelo 7 Años

3/4 oz. Orange juice

3/4 oz. Lime juice

1/3 oz. Honey syrup 2:1

1/2 oz. Cinnamon syrup

2 dashes Angostura bitters

3/4 oz. Egg white

Technique: Add all the ingredients in the shaker and dry shake so the egg white is emulsified. Then shake again with ice added. Double strain into a coupette or a martini glass and garnish with an orange peel.

EVERYTHING I WANTED (Billie Eilish)

Trivento Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon ($10.99)

While Billie Eilish is not quite old enough to legally enjoy wine in the US, we do think she would appreciate a brand that has been implementing environmental and social policies for more than 12 years. Since 2008, Trivento embarked on one of the company’s most important educational and inclusive initiatives by bringing in a CENS satellite classroom for their employees to complete their secondary studies. And each year, Trivento has added social and environmental actions to become one of the industry brand’s most committed to society and the environment. Through strong alliances with the United Nations Global Compact , the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) , the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) through the Argentine Business Council for Sustainable Development (CEADS) and the Network of companies for diversity., Trivento is committed to giving back in each bottle what nature has given them.

This Cabernet Sauvignon from Mendoza has an intense ruby red color, with violet notes that trend towards dark orange with time. In the nose, aromas of black pepper, tobacco, candied wild berries such as redcurrants and blackberries are perceived. In the mouth, the wine is powerful with persisting tannins and well-structured body.

DON’T START NOW (Dua Lipa)

Frontera Cabernet Sauvignon ($6.99)

Dua Lipa is a fan of a glass of red. We also think she’ll love that this wine sports a QR code on its bottle that will lead one to a “Frontera Big and Bold Reds. Drink Them with Attitude” playlist. From Chile’s Central Valley, this bright and intense ruby red wine with violet reflections has aromas of fresh red fruits, together with toasted notes, highlighting coffee and chocolate. The palate offers harmonic tannins, medium body, good aftertaste. Think of it as the ideal wine to serve with red meats, cheese, spicy stews and pasta with spicy sauces.

CIRCLES (Post Malone)

Les Cadrans de Lassègue ($30)

Post Malone has shared a preference for a nice Bordeaux. Les Cadrans, named after the sundials on the facade of the château, in honor of the incredible sun exposure that Château Lassègue enjoys, is the estate’s second label. It is meticulously produced by sixth and seventh generation Vignerons Pierre and Nicolas Seillan at the Saint-Émilion estate the family jointly owns with the Jackson Family.

SAVAGE (Megan Thee Stallion Featuring Beyoncé) 🏆

When two superstars collaborate, they should be toasted with an aptly named beverage…

CRITIC PASSION

60 ml Frontera Cabernet Sauvignon

30 ml orange juice

30 ml passion fruit

10 ml simple syrup

Ice

Orange peel and mint garnish

Shake all ingredients together (except for the orange peel and mint for garnish). Strain into wine glass over ice. Garnish with orange peel and mint leaf.
