ABOUT QUAVO

Along with bringing trap to the masses as one-third of Migos, rapper/producer Quavo brings his triplet flows and personalized style to his solo releases and a multitude of other artists’ tracks as a featured guest. His 2018 solo album Quavo Huncho rose to the number two spot on the Billboard charts, and he appeared as a guest on several songs that did time in the Top Ten, including hits from Drake, Justin Bieber, and Post Malone. Quavo frequently releases new material in the form of non-album singles, including songs like 2020’s “Too Blessed,” 2021’s “Strub Tha Ground,” and 2022’s “Hotel Lobby.

Quavo was born Quavious Marshall in 1991 and grew up in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Alongside Offset (his cousin) and Takeoff (his nephew), he helped form Migos in 2009 and they released their first mixtapes, Juug Season in 2011 and No Label in 2012. (No Label went on to receive a sequel in 2014.) However, it wasn’t until the release of the track “Versace” from their 2013 mixtape, Young Rich N*ggas, that they came to full prominence. The song was a breakout hit, receiving further exposure when Drake produced a remix. In 2014, Quavo was named “most influential rapper” by the online hip-hop community Complex Music. In subsequent years, he appeared on further releases with Migos, most notably their full-length albums Yung Rich Nation (2015) and C U L T U R E (2017). He also appeared on tracks like “Champions” for Kanye West‘s GOOD Music label and performed alongside Young Thug on 2016’s “Fuck Cancer,” and on 2017’s “Go Off” with Travis Scott and Lil Uzi Vert for the Fate of the Furious movie soundtrack. Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho, a collaborative project with Travis Scott, was also released in 2017. The following year, Quavo released a series of solo singles, including “Workin Me” and “Bubble Gum.” Those tracks found their way onto his official solo debut, Quavo Huncho, which arrived in October 2018. The album featured guests such as Drake, Travis Scott, Kid Cudi, 21 Savage, Offset, Takeoff, and even Madonna. Quavo continued adding flare to other artists’ singles with featured verses over the next few years, appearing on tracks by E-40, Don Toliver, Iggy Azalea, Major Lazer, 2 Chainz, and many others. In 2018, Quavo was featured on DJ Khaled‘s “No Brainer,” which peaked at number five on the charts, and in 2020 he was featured on another track that hit that mark with his contributions to Justin Bieber‘s single “Intentions.” He also issued several singles of his own, including the 2021 song “Strub Tha Ground,” featuring Yung Miami. The following year saw Quavo team up with Takeoff on the singles “Hotel Lobby”, “Us vs Them” ft. Gucci Mane, and most recently “Big Stunna” ft. Birdman.

ABOUT TAKEOFF

Takeoff is the youngest member of trap trendsetters Migos, whose songs “Versace” and “Bad and Boujee” became major streaming hits, and whose 2017 sophomore album, Culture, topped the pop charts in both the U.S. and Canada. Along with his contributions to Migos, Takeoff released his solo full-length debut, The Last Rocket in 2018, along with singles like the 2022 Rich the Kid collaboration “Crypto.”

Born Kirshnik Khari Ball on June 18, 1994 in Lawrenceville, Georgia, Takeoff started Migos in 2009 with family members Quavo and Offset in a bid to escape the ghetto cycle of poverty and crime. Their breakthrough single, “Versace,” came out in 2013; the album Yung Rich Nation followed in 2015, and Culture came two years later. Takeoff’s non-appearance on the album’s 2016 lead single, “Bad and Boujee,” caused a minor Internet controversy; he brushed it off, claiming he was simply unavailable for the recording session. In May of 2017, he released his first solo track, “Intruder.” Takeoff occasionally appeared solo as a featured performer on tracks by other artists, including Jose Guapo, Chill Will, and, most notably, Calvin Harris, on the song “Holiday” from the Scottish producer’s 2017 album Funk Wav Bounces, Vol. 1.

Migos’ third album, the lengthy, 24-track Culture II, was released in January 2018. Takeoff made his own full-length debut in November of that year with The Last Rocket, which debuted in the Top Four on both the R&B/hip-hop chart and the Billboard 200. Appearances on various singles followed over the next few years, including featured roles alongside Rich the Kid on “Too Blessed” and YRN Lingo on “All Time High,” both released in 2020. In 2022 he reunited with Rich the Kid for woozy recent single “Crypto” and teamed up with Quavo on the new singles “Hotel Lobby”, “Us vs Them” ft. Gucci Mane, and “Big Stunna” ft. Birdman.

FaZe Clan, Inc. (“FaZe Clan”) the digitally native lifestyle and media platform rooted in gaming and youth culture, announced that the entertainment icon, avid gamer, and owner of Death Row Records Snoop Dogg will become a member of FaZe Clan’s talent network and, upon closing of the previously announced business combination with B. Riley Principal 150 Merger Corp. (NASDAQ: BRPM)(“BRPM”), will join FaZe Clan’s board of directors. Snoop Dogg joins FaZe Clan’s robust talent collective of gamers, creators, entertainers, and esports professionals. He will represent FaZe Clan with the official name “FaZe Snoop.” As the latest talent member of FaZe Clan, Snoop Dogg will co-create content, participate in key business initiatives, and launch merchandise with the brand while appearing across FaZe Clan’s platform. Watch the announcement video HERE.

FaZe Clan announced on October 25, 2021, that it will merge with BRPM, a special purpose acquisition company, to become a publicly traded company. The transaction is expected to close in Spring 2022. In his role as a director, Snoop Dogg will bring his extensive entertainment industry insights and his passion for Web3, gaming, and culture as FaZe Clan charts its course as a public company. A full list of the expected post-merger Board of Directors will be announced later this month.

“The organic relationship between FaZe and Snoop has been building for years now, so we are thrilled to officially welcome FaZe Snoop to the family. As the original internet kid, and a first-generation gamer, Snoop has always understood the cultural connection between music, lifestyle, and gaming,” said Kai Henry, Chief Strategy Officer of FaZe Clan. “Today, Snoop is a prominent voice in the emerging Web3 community and we have exciting plans to create together in the metaverse, driving new engagement opportunities for both of our fanbases.”

“It only makes sense to partner with FaZe Clan as both a team member and on the Board of Directors,” said Snoop Dogg. “The youth identifies with their brand and that’s something my son Cordell knew, which is why he brought us together.”

“As I’ve been watching what FaZe Clan has been building in the gaming space, I knew there was a natural connection with what my dad has been doing,” said Cordell Broadus, Creative Consultant, Channel 21. “When I look at the two brands, I was inspired by the synergy they could create so I brought them together in this partnership. I can’t wait for the world to see what we are about to do.”

Beyond becoming a talent member of FaZe Clan, Snoop Dogg will also launch a community outreach program centered around charitable activities that support youth. A display of this community outreach collaboration took place during Super Bowl weekend in February. FaZe members played in a co-branded FaZe Clan x NFL flag football game and for each team’s participation, $25,000 per team was donated to youth sports. FaZe Clan’s donation went to Snoop Dogg’s Youth Football League.

Snoop Dogg joins FaZe Clan’s talent collective of over 85 members which consists of world-class gamers, influential content creators, and personalities whose following expands beyond the world of gaming. Members include NFL star Kyler “FaZe K1” Murray, Lebron “FaZe Bronny” James Jr., Lil Yachty aka “FaZe Boat,” and Offset aka “FaZe Offset” and as part of the roster, they represent FaZe Clan in the gaming community and across the converging media and entertainment industries.

Teyana Taylor’s Exclusive Celeb Listening Event

Cardi B, Offset, Quavo, Winnie Harlow, Lena Waithe, Terrence J, and more joined Teyana Taylor at an exclusive LA listening event for THE ALBUM.

THE ALBUM, releasing Juneteenth, features special guests Rick Ross, Erykah Badu, Quavo, Missy Elliott, Future, Big Sean, Ms. Lauryn Hill, and more.

About Teyana Taylor

Being a jack of trades has enabled Teyana Taylor to become a master of all. From her smoky melodic vocals to her dynamic dance moves, the R&B superstar entertainer dips in dives between her talents as singer, songwriter, producer, director, dancer/choreographer, actor, fitness guru, model, and mother. When it comes to describing herself, the Harlem native can only think of one word: Everything.

“I literally can do everything. I never look at anything as being impossible,” she explains. “I exhaust all options to make what happen when I need to make happen.” Her mantra made her an early favorite to artists like Pharrell, who she signed her first deal with, and later choreographed videos for artists like Beyoncé and Jay-Z. In 2014, Teyana’s love for the arts and R&B earned her the title of the first woman signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint.

Between R&B’s identity crisis in the 2010s, Teyana dropped her debut album VII, with tracks like “Maybe” (featuring Yo Gotti and Pusha T) and the sultry “Just Different” shaping her musical persona. The critically acclaimed album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart in 2014, cementing her position in today’s modern R&B field. “I fought for that raw, hood necessary R&B and now I feel like it’s better than ever,” she says.

After spicing up the R&B charts, Teyana was blessed with the arrival of her daughter Junie with husband and NBA star Iman Shumpert in 2015. “I do all of this for my baby. She’s who I do it for,” she says about Iman “Junie” Tayla Shumpert Jr., her main source of inspiration. “I always show her how to be a leader and a businesswoman. I want her to believe that she can be anything she wants to be and it not be a shocker that she’s a female doing it all.” Soon after, Teyana went on to star in the internet-breaking video (https://defjam.us13.list-manage.com/track/click?u=b52e78ece97447e472590f343&id=ebb0bed877&e=4792530c9f) for Kanye West’s “Fade,” and scored her first MTV Moonman for “Best Choreography” at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards.

But it wasn’t until the release of her second album project K.T.S.E.(released June 2018) that the world caught up with Teyana’s talents. With her all-female production company The Aunties, Teyana self-directed videos for “WTP,” the RIAA gold-selling single “Gonna Love Me,” (whose remix features Wu-Tang Clan’s Ghostface Killah, Method Man and Raekwon), and recently, “Issues/Hold On.” Teyana has also directed videos for her peers like T.I. (“You”), Monica (“Commitment”), and Lil Duval (“Pull Up” featuring Ty Dolla $ign) with fans like Ms. Lauryn Hill and Elton John praising her boss moves.

Part of what makes Teyana stand out from the rest is her ability to move with precision and poise in everything she does. From the studio to the stage, every idea is a project with the singer front and center with a vision all her own. With her musical inspirations like Aaliyah, Teena Marie, Mint Condition and Janet Jackson speaking to her soul, Teyana is aware her mission is larger than life. “I’m working on me every day and I think that’s my purpose,” she says, comparing her life to a never-ending book. “I’m still going, still mastering and being a better me.”

DJ SNAKE ANIMATED VID

Multi-platinum producer DJ Snake has shared the animated video for “When the Lights Go Down” — a track from his chart-topping sophomore album Carte Blanche. The high-energy visual was directed by Zac Wong, a filmmaker/artist/animator who’s also created videos for artists like Imagine Dragons.

Check out the animated video for “When the Lights Go Down” by DJ Snake HERE

With its radiant colors and nonstop action, the video for “When the Lights Go Down” reimagines DJ Snake as a superhero-like figure. Fueled by the same explosive intensity found in the song, the surreal and spectacular visual culminates with a triumphant live set from the superstar DJ.

Earlier this year, Wong created the animated video for DJ Snake’s star-studded single “Enzo” (a collaboration with Sheck Wes, featuring Offset21 Savage & Gucci Mane). Check it out HERE.

Along with “When the Lights Go Down” and “Enzo,” Carte Blanche includes the triple-platinum single “Taki Taki” ft. Selena GomezOzuna & Cardi B (DJ Snake’s second global #1 record), the bilingual summer anthem “Loco Contigo” (with J. Balvin & Tyga), the reggaeton powerhouse “Fuego” (with Sean Paul Anitta ft. Tainy), and the India-inspired club smash “Magenta Riddim. Released in July, Carte Blanche hit #1 on Billboard’s US Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart.

DJ Snake “Carte Blanche”

Multi-platinum producer DJ Snake has released his highly anticipated sophomore album, Carte Blanche. Available now via all digital retailers, Carte Blanche includes appearances by such heavy-hitters as Cardi B, Offset, J. Balvin, Sean Paul, and more.

Listen to Carte Blanche by DJ Snake HERE.

Carte Blanche features the double-platinum single “Taki Taki” ft. Selena Gomez, Ozuna& Cardi B — the second global #1 record for DJ Snake. After premiering in September, “Taki Taki” became the ninth-fastest music video of all time to amass 100 million views on YouTube. With its video now at over 1.4 billion views, the track also hit #1 on the US Hot Latin Songs chart and #11 on the Billboard Hot 100.

With its title translating to “the freedom to do whatever one chooses,” Carte Blanche finds DJ Snake fully embodying that spirit by breaking all musical and creative boundaries. A native of Paris, he names his country’s cultural melting pot — as well as his worldwide travels in recent years — as a key inspiration in bringing the genre-defying sound of Carte Blanche to life. To that end, the artwork for Carte Blanche features images of the iconic Arc De Triomphe (a global symbol of freedom).

In addition to “Taki Taki,” Carte Blanche includes hits like “Enzo” (a collaboration with Sheck Wes, featuring Offset, 21 Savage & Gucci Mane), the India-inspired club smash “Magenta Riddim,” and the bilingual summer anthem “Loco Contigo” (with J. Balvin & Tyga).

Released last month, “Loco Contigo” is accompanied by a wildly colorful video from Colin Tilley (an award-winning filmmaker known for his work with Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, and Nicki Minaj). Check out the “Loco Contigo” video HERE.
