Migos – Culture III

Migos  (Quavo, Offset and Takeoff) proudly present their anticipated new album, Culture III out now via Quality Control Music/Motown Records. It is available on their official store with a limited Gallery Dept. capsule collection. Get it HERE.

The anxiously awaited third installment serves as the finale of the blockbuster Culture trilogy. As a knockout climax, it spotlights their nimble ad-libs, bulletproof bars, head-spinning hooks, and irreplaceable chemistry. Not to mention, it’s stacked with A-list co-stars, including Drake, Cardi B, Justin Bieber, Future, Polo G, Youngboy NBA the late Juice WRLD and Pop Smoke to name a few. They celebrate the release with the music video for “Modern Day.” Between the jet-skis, rare automobiles, private planes, and smoke, Migos trade equally high-octane rhymes in this luxurious big screen-worthy visual. Watch it HERE.

They’ve taken over the game with one major move after another this week in support of the album. After setting social media on fire with the tracklisting and artwork reveal, they graced the stage of NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for a performance of the new record “Avalanche.”

Dressed to the nines in black suits complete with black fedoras and shades in the music video, they deliver a smooth and slick rendition of the tune accompanied by a full band, uplifting this anthem with horns, live drums, and guitar solos.

Today, they will throw the ultimate PORTL party with the Migos Culture III Hologram. They’re set to host the hologram appearance simultaneously at 6pm ET via PORTL at select locations in Atlanta, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Miami.

Last month, they paved the way for the album with “Straightenin.” It has already racked up north of 52 million worldwide streams and 21+ million views on the music video. Plus, it holds the #5 spot on Spotify’s Rap Caviar and popped off as “#1 Most Added at Urban Radio. Meanwhile, its predecessor, “Need It” [feat. YoungBoy Never Broke Again], has amassed 94.3 million Spotify streams and 56 million YouTube views on the music video.

Culture stands tall in the pantheon of great hip-hop series. The original platinum-selling Culture bowed at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 in 2017 and garnered two 2018 GRAMMY nominations, including “Best Rap Album” and “Best Rap Performance” for the Billboard Hot 100 #1 “Bad & Boujiee” [feat. Lil Uzi Vert]. On its heels, Culture II elevated Migos to rarified air. It capture #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and pick up a double-platinum plaque. To date, they have gathered 25 billion streams and 68 billion YouTube views.

The internet and the game have been begging for Culture III for three years, and now Migos have delivered.

The culture belongs to them.

Masego – Studying Abroad: Extended Stay

Masego will release Studying Abroad: Extended Stay, the deluxe edition of his 2020 EP, via EQT Recordings and Capitol Records. The collection includes five new tracks. Studying Abroad: Extended Stay leads off with the EP’s original six tracks, which find Masego walking the listener through every phase of a relationship, from its blissful beginnings to its tragic ending. Carmen Deleon × Cali Y El Dandee

Rising Latin pop sensation Carmen DeLeon teams up with Colombian pop-urban brother duo Cali y El Dandee on her new single, Pasado, released today by Capitol Music Group and Universal Music Latin Entertainment, Pasado (which means past) sets DeLeon’s gorgeously raw vocals to a powerfully swinging beat. Cali y El Dandee add a poignant, soulful verse. To date, Cali y El Dandee, Alejandro Rengifo and Mauricio Rengifo, have amassed more than five billion combined streams and exceeded 10.7 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Their YouTube channel has generated more than 2.4 billion views.

Mauricio Rengifo and Andres Torres, who have produced multi-Platinum hits like Luis Fonsi’s Despacito; produced the track. Download / stream Pasado (feat. Cali y El Dandee) HERE.

Carmen DeLeon recalls, “Pasado was written with my friends Mauricio, Alejandro, and Andres and was inspired by a breakup with my boyfriend. I was no longer in a relationship with him but was reliving the times I had with him in the past and wondered what it would be like to be with him again. The song tells the story of being okay with missing that person, while reassuring the listener to be with a person that will really love and respect you.”.

Cali y El Dandee add, “We are delighted to have collaborated with Carmen. She has a tremendous voice we can’t wait for the world to see her talent.

Pasado follows DeLeon’s early 2021 single, Cafecito, a bittersweet track that she wrote in memory of her grandfathers, and Juegas, her collaboration with acclaimed Colombian artist FEID. Upon its release, Juegas was featured on numerous NMFs across Spotify and has now amassed more than two million combined global streams. Billboard, which named DeLeon as one of 20 Latina Artists to Discover Before 2020 Ends, noted, “Juegas is a medium-tempo reggae/pop charmer; If this is going to be DeLeon’s brand of pop, we’ll happily take it.”.

Born in Venezuela and now based in Miami, DeLeon has amassed over four million streams since she released her debut single, Volveras less than a year ago. Wonderland noted, “Sharing her struggles with anxiety, the highs and lows of these uncertain times and how it’s okay not to be okay, DeLeon brings her Latin roots to the fore on the laid-back tune, reminding us all exactly why she’s a force to be reckoned with”; Euphoria said, Carmen DeLeon commands the world as her stage with fiery gusto and an undeniable sense of positivity.

Devon Gilfillian Livestream Concert

THERE’ S AN ELECTION GOING ON

LIVESTREAM EVENT SET FOR THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1

Devon Gilfillian And Friends Will Perform Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going On And Other Songs Of Freedom To Benefit The Equity Alliance

Today, Devon Gilfillian and Friends announced There’s An Election Going On; a livestream concert that will take place Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 8:00 PM ET in partnership with The Equity Alliance, Nugs.net and HeadCount.org. Stream the concert live HERE. The artists will perform Marvin Gaye’s classic album, What’s Going On, live. The event will also include special guests playing songs of protest, freedom and community. In addition to Gilfillian, performers will include Aaron Lee Tasjan, Breland, Drew Holcomb, Emoni Wilkins, Grace Potter, Jason Eskridge, Jason Isbell, Joy Oladokun, Katie Pruitt, Kyshona Armstrong, Lera Lynn, Local Natives, The Lone Bellow, Nickie Conley and The War and Treaty. For further details, visit www.devongilfillian.com.

An auction will take place in conjunction with the event. Proceeds from the event and auction will benefit Nashville-based grassroots non-profit The Equity Alliance. Devon Gilfillian says, I don’t have much political power, but I do have the power of music. I decided I wanted to learn the entirety of Marvin Gaye’s album, What’s Going On, and use that music to raise money to fight voter suppression, bring people together, and share the message that Marvin was trying to get across. Marvin simply wanted this country to have a conversation, an informed conversation, on the injustice and pain that people are facing. To simply look at what’s going on. Almost 50 years ago, this album came out, and every word still rings with such relevance.

To bring this music to life, I brought together my favorite artists in Nashville and beyond people who are passionate about the change that needs to happen. Also, I partnered with Equity Alliance and HeadCount for this mission. The Equity Alliance educates communities of color and low-income communities about the democratic process while fighting the voter suppression that still exists to this day in TN. HeadCount has also been on the front lines, making sure people have the tools to use their voice in this election coming up. To me, making our voices heard is the most important thing we can do. People have died for the right to vote in this country, and right now we see politicians making that harder for us. Now is the time to fight. Today’s announcement coincides with National Voter Registration Day 2020. To register to vote or to check your registration status, visit https://www.headcount.org.

Gilfillian’s debut album, Black Hole Rainbow, was released by Capitol Records earlier this year. It includes his top 15 AAA radio hit, The Good Life, a rallying cry for inclusion. Streams of The Good Life skyrocketed after Gilfillian performed the song on CBS This Morning Saturday. The collage-style lyric video for The Good Life incorporates images that Gilfillian captured in Nashville over the summer, during the BLM protests. View the lyric video HERE.

American Songwriter hailed The Good Life as [a] soul-soothing ode to finding peace and beauty in life. The Tennessean hailed Black Hole Rainbow as one of the best albums released this year, period. The album also won a spot on Iowa Public Radio’s list of The Best New Albums (So Far) Of 2020. The New York Times said, Devon Gilfillian, a soul songwriter based in Nashville, made his formidable debut album, Black Hole Rainbow, with Shawn Everett warping vintage sounds toward something deep and strange.

Gilfillian performed the national anthem at NASCAR 2020 on the day they banned the Confederate flag. He recently launched The Good Life Fund, which supports organizations that are doing good in the world, including Give A Note Foundation and Rebuilding Together Nashville. Gilfillian has played numerous festivals, including Newport Folk and Montreal Jazz. He has supported such artists as Mavis Staples, was Grace Potter, Local Natives, Lauren Daigle, KALEO, Michael McDonald, Chaka Kahn, Keith Urban, Gladys Knight, Brothers Osborne and Michael Franti & Spearhead.

Fletcher – Forever

FLETCHER returns with her anthemic new single “Forever” and its accompanying video. “Forever” is more bass-driven than anything she’s released to date, but as bold and brutally honest as we’ve come to expect. Produced by Jason Evigan (Dua Lipa, Maroon 5) FLETCHER co-wrote the track with frequent collaborator Amy Allen (Halsey, Harry Styles) and Kinetics & One Love. Download/Stream “Forever” HERE.

“This song is about knowing who ‘the one’ might be but needing to find myself before I give that person my time forever,” says FLETCHER. “The relationships in my life are really important to me, but I’ve realized the one that I’ve been neglecting my entire life is the one I have with myself. Heading into this year and next project, I made a promise to focus my energy on getting to know myself and to date myself for the first time. I’m making mistakes, fucking up and learning lessons the hard way…I’m having fun, but definitely crying too. I’m learning who I am and who I want to be. It’s not easy and I have no idea what I’m doing, but does anyone really?

With head-ticking choreography and unstoppable female energy, FLETCHER shines a light on the desire to be young and carefree in her Ethan Lader-directed video. Watch it HERE.

Heading into her full-length debut (due out later this year), FLETCHER released her acclaimed debut EP you ruined new york city for me via Capitol Records last August. A highly personal story of first love and heartbreak, you ruined new york city for me features “Undrunk” — a breakthrough hit that spent several weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, earned the #1 spot on Spotify’s Viral Chart, and emerged as the fastest-rising song at Pop radio from a new artist in the past five years. The EP also includes follow-up tracks “If You’re Gonna Lie,” “All Love,” and “One Too Many.”

FLETCHER will soon join Lewis Capaldi on Niall Horan’s 2020 Nice To Meet Ya tour. The first leg of the North American run kicks off April 20 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, with the label-mates also playing Barclays Center in New York (April 29) and The Forum in Los Angeles (May 18). See below for full itinerary. Tickets are available HERE.

Last week, FLETCHER and Niall Horan released a Spotify Singles cover of Taylor Swift’s “Lover,” earning recognition from the pop superstar as well as praise from Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly and more. Listen HERE.

FLETCHER recently contributed the end-title track “Last Laugh” to the forthcoming soundtrack to Promising Young Woman, due out via Capitol Records on April 3. Set for release on April 17 via Focus Features, the widely anticipated film is a revenge drama/thriller written and directed by groundbreaking filmmaker Emerald Fennell (Killing Eve); it stars Carey Mulligan, Bo Burnham, Alison Brie, Connie Britton, Adam Brody, Jennifer Coolidge, and Laverne Cox.

Heralded as an Artist to Watch and praised by outlets like PAPER, TIME, Wonderland, V Magazine, Nylon, Harper’s Bazaar, Interview Magazine, GQ, and more, FLETCHER hails from a beach town in New Jersey, where she cultivated her verve for music and candid lexicon. The singer-songwriter, who graduated from NYU’s famed Clive Davis Institute for Recorded Music has already begun carving out a space for herself in pop music. FLETCHER has earned impressive slots on The iHeartRadio Music Festival, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Life is Beautiful, and other major festivals.
