NF – CLOUDS (THE MIXTAPE)

NF RELEASES NEW PROJECT CLOUDS (THE MIXTAPE) TODAY.

SHARES MUSIC VIDEO FOR “STORY”, WATCH THE VIDEO HERE.

After a series of internet-busting moves and racking up over 60 million streams pre-release, chart-topping Michigan rapper NF unleashes his anxiously awaited new project CLOUDS (THE MIXTAPE) today. Listen to CLOUDS (THE MIXTAPE) via NF Real Music/Virgin Music HERE.

To celebrate the arrival of the project, he also shares the music video for the cinematic new single “STORY.” Co-produced and co-directed by NF and Patrick Tohill, the visual quite literally brings the song’s unbelievable drama to life without sparing its intensity. As his lyrics detail a particularly painful memory culminating in catastrophe, the metronomic keys give the beat raw tension as it underscores a harrowing armed robbery.

Watch it HERE.

NF set the stage for CLOUDS (THE MIXTAPE) with the title track “CLOUDS,” which has gathered over 17 million views on the music video. It notably trended as #1 on YouTube globally, notched his highest debut on the Billboard Hot 100 at #53, and surpassed over 55 million global streams.

The follow-up single “LOST” (feat. HOPSIN) crashed YouTube with its music video, peaking at #2 on trending and has over 21 million streams.

CLOUDS (THE MIXTAPE) finds parity between some of NF’s most technically dazzling rhymes and the apex of his vulnerable and confessional storytelling. On “THAT’S A JOKE,” he strings rap around an airy beat as the crack of a whip cuts through horns and he spits, “I’m not on your radar, then your radars broke, dont blame me for that yalls jokes fall flat.” Elsewhere, he devours the production with stop-and-start cadences on “TRUST” where he admits, ”Life I lives more like a sci-fi flick. The ride culminates on “PAID MY DUES.” He launches into breathless breakneck flows, punctuated by the declaration, “Im on a rampage. The game isn’t safe with NF on the prowl.

NF has quietly cemented himself as one of the most impactful artists in the world without ever compromising or changing who he is. The artist, director, and producer has eclipsed 18 billion streams, picked up over a dozen gold and platinum certifications, sold-out arenas, and regularly maintained a place in the “Top 500 Most Listened-To Artists on Spotify. He also logged two consecutive #1 debuts on the Billboard Top 200 with Perception [2017] and The Search [2019]. However, NF shows no signs of stopping or slowing down as he continues to leave a mark on the mainstream as arguably the underground’s biggest artist.

About NF

NF is the stage name of Michigan rapper and composer Nate Feuerstein, who emerged with his debut album, Mansion, in 2015. The raw emotion and honesty in his music continued on Therapy Session, building the foundation of an incredibly strong and loyal fan base. In 2017, Perception gave NF his first No. 1 album on Billboard’s Top 200 Chart, and delivered the multi-platinum hit single, “Let You Down,” which reached #1 at Pop Radio. In the summer of 2019, NF released his fourth album, The Search, earning his second consecutive No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200 Chart. Now certified Platinum, The Search featured Top 10 Pop radio hit “Time” and propelled NF to the global stage, selling out 19 dates on “The Search World Tour,” including shows in Australia and Europe. With nearly 30 RIAA certifications and 18 billion streams, NF recently earned a spot in the Top 50 most streamed artists of 2020. His fifth album and first ever mixtape, CLOUDS (THE MIXTAPE) was released on March 26, 2021. Fans can expect NF to take his signature blend of lyrical introspection and powerful thematic elements to the next level on this 10-track project.

NF – CLOUDS (THE MIXTAPE)

Today, the myth-making, chart-topping Michigan rapper NF announces his latest project and first mixtape, CLOUDS (THE MIXTAPE) out March 26, 2021, which is now available for pre-order/pre-add via NF Real Music/Caroline here. NF has also released the ominous, chest-beating title track, “CLOUDS,” in tandem with a fittingly cinematic video. Listen here and watch here.

With “CLOUDS,” NF outlines his reasons for releasing this mixtape now. “Hanging onto songs this long is daunting,” he raps, matter-of-factly. He then playfully delivers clever lines in unison with a sparse violin melody before his delivery becomes more fiery, matching a thundering, industrial beat. Throughout, the technically gifted MC passionately strings together intricate rhymes about his continued ascent and the gravity of his ambitions: “It’s probable / That I might press the envelope / Ideas so astronomical / Sometimes I find them comical.”

“CLOUDS” follows NF’s last surprise single, October 2020’s “CHASING_(DEMO),” which featured 15-year-old Australian fan Mikayla Sippel. A gripping ballad about breaking down and wanting to escape the world, “CHASING (DEMO)” arrived just as calls for new music from NF’s fervent fanbase were becoming deafening. Ever since his Billboard-topping fourth album, 2019’s The Search, fans have eagerly awaited more of his emotive and brutally honest songwriting, grand production, and sharp delivery. This new single suggests that CLOUDS (THE MIXTAPE) will be well worth the wait. NF will have collaborations with HOPSIN and TECH N9NE on CLOUDS (THE MIXTAPE).

NF – Chasing_(Demo)

NF released a brand new song Monday titled “Chasing_(Demo).” You can hear it by clicking right here.

The song features Mikayla Sippel, a 15-year-old Australian fan of NF’s. NF said he posted a clip of the song and was surprised by the positive response, which included a cover by a fan.

“Long story short, my producer Tommee and I took her audio and ended up finishing it for you guys! Thank you Mikayla Sippel for letting us use your amazing voice and inspiring me to actually release it,” NF said.

Using piano, violins and classic NF lyrics, the song describes his search for answers to questions about his emotions. He seeks a place where his thoughts are embraced, both by himself and others, and the pain he feels can subside through internal and external acceptance.

“I just wanna run away and find somewhere that feels safe; find somewhere the bad days don’t come as often in this sad phase,” he and Sippel sing.

The released song has a more polished sound to it than the version in the original post, which you can see by clicking right here.

The comment section is full of fans who asked NF to officially release the song, so to release it and feature a fan shows the artistic and emotional connection he has to his fans.

Hailing from Michigan, NF most recently released the 2019 album “The Search,” which featured songs like “Time,” “Like This” and “When I Grow Up.”

This is his first release of 2020.

NF x “Perception” • No. 1 Album

NF’s third studio album Perception shocks the industry by nabbing the coveted No. 1 debut slot in the Billboard Top 200, but this triumph comes as no surprise to fans. Perception became Capital Music Groups’s fastest-selling D2C pre-order of the year. Released just last week, the album is No. 1 on iTunes Overall Top Albums chart and No. 1 on Amazon Top Rap Albums Chart. His headline show at London’s Camden Assembly sold out within minutes of its announcement.

Fan support has allowed the success of Perception to skyrocket. A single off the album, “Let You Down”, is NF’s biggest single to date, surpassing 19.5 million Spotify streams and 4.8 million YouTube/VEVO views in less than 3 weeks. The song soared to No. 2 on Spotify’s Global Viral 50 Chart and to No. 3 on the US Viral 50 Chart. Other tracks from the album “Outro” and “Green Lights” also peaked high on Spotify’s US Viral Chart.

“The record,” says Jennie Boddy of Capital Music Group, “tempers moments of fierce, focused, and fiery rapping with airy and entrancing hooks- all performed by NF.” Clearly, fans are appreciating his vocal talents and captivating lyrics as album sales continue to soar. NF has just revealed his touring plans for 2018 with Perception Tour. For details on tour locations and ticket purchases, visit NF’s site.

NF ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM PERCEPTION

After quietly topping multiple charts last year, selling out over forty dates on his North American tour this year, and building a hyper-dedicated fan base, Michigan rapper, singer, and songwriter NF gears up to release his third full-length album, Perception [Capitol Records], on Friday, October 6th, 2017.

Perception follows one of 2016’s biggest underground successes, Therapy Session, which claimed #1 on Billboard‘s Top Rap Albums Chart and #12 on the Top 200. However, NF upped the ante yet again with tighter bars, bigger production, and bolder hooks this time around.

Among its sixteen new tracks, Perception boasts singles “Outro,” which surpassed Therapy Session’s first single consumption in just three days, and “Green Lights,” which gave NF his career high for single day streaming numbers upon release. Additionally, the videos for both singles clocked over 1 million views in less than a week, while the as yet unreleased track “One Hundred” was recently featured in a promo trailer for HBO’s hit show Ballers, proving that Perception is primed to make a big impact upon its release this October.

NF might just be one of the biggest rappers you’ve never heard of. After soaring to #1 on the Billboard Top Rap Albums Chart and bowing in the Top 15 of the Top 200, his 2016 sophomore set Therapy Session yielded a string of resonant viral hits.“Grindin'” impressively generated over 23.2 million Spotify streams, “Real” exceeded 10 million, and “Got You On My Mind,“How Could You Leave Us, and“Oh Lord” all racked up more than 9 million each. HipHopDX praised him as his music appeared everywhere from Shades of Blue and GRIMM to Empire.
